Dave king at Anfield tonight, Steven Gerrard at Ibrox for the old firm game and and both apparently went to dinner at The Art School Michelin starred restaurant prematch. Hope to god I'm wrong but what a coincidence!

24 Apr 2018 22:02:55
Yeah Ronnie I commented on a previous post that he had been at a pre match dinner with Dave king. Imagine the calibre of player he could attract if he was to become manager. Fernando Torres out of contract at the end of the season, just sayin 😂🇬🇧

24 Apr 2018 22:02:57
Who say them at dinner?

24 Apr 2018 22:07:51
Great he can go there but can’t attend a Rangers match

24 Apr 2018 22:16:30
thought i read somewhere king was a lpool fan as a lad

rossiter got gerrard tkt for OF game

no way gerrard will be new manager - board cannot afford anymore managerial cock ups

after mccoist warbs caixinha murty twice and even tried and failed to get mcinness ! going for a manager with no experience wld be suicide

24 Apr 2018 22:21:55
Dave king has been to a few Liverpool games. steven Gerrard for our manger? . no thanks, may as well leave it with murty

24 Apr 2018 22:36:15
He’s 4/ 7 with Bookies from 8/ 1, to 4/ 1, Evs now odds on. Seen plenty of these bets come to nothing in the past but with King being spotted at Anfield there may be some truth that we interested in speaking to Stevie G.
Not sure how I feel about it as I wanted FDeBoer as there is always gems in the Dutch League at affordable prices.
Gerrard is a winner, and a level headed dedicated coach but would it be fair to hand the reins to another young novice youth coach I don’t think so.
I would be delighted if he’s been identified as 1st team Coach or Asst Manager but not as much as the Gaffer

24 Apr 2018 22:48:21
Think gerrard would be good appointment, the caliber of player he could attract to us would be priceless.

{Ed0333's Note - What caliber is that then?

24 Apr 2018 23:11:21
Last night SG was 25/ 1 to me next manager with skyhi bet - he is now odds on at 8/ 15

24 Apr 2018 23:18:10
Dave King always had a soft spot for Liverpool growing up as a kid

25 Apr 2018 00:09:22
This would certainly be a gamble by our board if this is the best we can do then we certainly are in trouble.
King said he was going for best manager possible i thought this ment we where going to go for someone with mangment experiance.
maybe the experianced managers are demanding big transfer budgets and not willing to work with a director of football there for we are looking at inexperianced managers.

25 Apr 2018 01:51:20
It's possible he could be there as a fan, however, is it outwith the realms of possibility that he could be asking Gerrard to sign as a player/ coach (not main but number 2)

25 Apr 2018 06:39:59
If Dave king being at Anfield had nothing to do with Gerrard then the man is a total disgrace in my eyes. Nowhere near Ibrox at the weekend when the club are in complete turmoil but turns up to support another club! Wtf is going on?

25 Apr 2018 07:54:20
He would attract players, players we most likely couldn’t afford. No for me. We CANNOT **** this up again

24 Apr 2018 21:15:06
Scott arfield 3yr deal

Allan mcgregor 2yr deal

Both done.

also hearing that Kyle Bartley just has to agree personal terms. just passing on what I've been told.

24 Apr 2018 21:42:50
I’d love to see Kyle back

24 Apr 2018 21:51:30
I’ve said it before, if Shagger returns he’ll beat the best keeper in the country.

24 Apr 2018 21:51:36
Told by who. Arfield was confirmed by EST and FLHAD

24 Apr 2018 22:00:48
Well if true but how are we getting players in b4 anybody is of the wage bill and still no manager who's to say these player are the new managers likening

24 Apr 2018 22:49:39
Is it just me but I thought Bartley was not the greatest when he was here. Because he clattered Brown doesn't make him a player. .

25 Apr 2018 01:13:17
Bartley wasn't good enough back then. He's still not good enough. But he is better than the garbage we currently have. No high praise.

24 Apr 2018 20:57:14
Arfield supposedly done and dusted 3 yr deal source the good old est consultanty on twitter between them and 4 lads usually spot on,

25 Apr 2018 17:04:57
I have no idea who the next manager will be but the type of player we seem to be looking at is more Neil Warnock type than GvB or FdB

24 Apr 2018 19:37:41
I know you can’t really go by betting but, Steven Gerrard is now odds on with most bookmakers now.

24 Apr 2018 20:38:29
No chance

24 Apr 2018 20:45:30
And Dave Kings at Anfield tonight. Means hee haw

24 Apr 2018 20:47:47
Gerrard has soft spot for smell. tic same as john terry cannot see him manage the gers but you never no in football

24 Apr 2018 21:46:59
Apparently king and gerrard went for a pre match dinner together at the art school restraint. I'm still undecided as to wether he would be a good appointment due to his lack of expiernce but it does look increasingly more likely.

24 Apr 2018 23:20:01
Gerrard would be just as absurd an appointment as Pedro.

24 Apr 2018 10:35:15
Met an ex rangers player yesterday and he said that the next manager
Is between

Frank de Boer
Giovanni Van Bronckhorst

He also said that the new manager will be back with a serious amount of funds to challenge for the title next season

24 Apr 2018 13:10:50
id be happy with either of them.

24 Apr 2018 13:54:40
@southsideger but yesterday u said the ex player told touch that frank and gio were going to be manager and assistant manager so now you change your mind and say between the 2 if your going to make up shi#e keep the same story going or your going to look a bit stooopid

24 Apr 2018 14:18:30
A never said he would be his assistant a said it’s between the two of them
Not together so don’t you talk nonsense

24 Apr 2018 15:27:34
Who was it then?

24 Apr 2018 18:22:19
Yeh what ex player was it?

24 Apr 2018 18:44:38
oleg salenko

24 Apr 2018 19:09:42
erik bo anderson

24 Apr 2018 20:34:35
Ted McSpin

25 Apr 2018 12:11:54
Davie Cooper came to you in a dream

24 Apr 2018 10:05:06
Why haven't the board announced the new manager yet? Season ticket books need renewed/ sold. It would make sense that you give the fans assurance that the team will be in good hands next season.

24 Apr 2018 10:56:14
Maybe they haven't found one yet?

24 Apr 2018 11:45:07
RfC Chris ---- couldn't agree more but don't you think that the time to make an announcement of meaning, and catch the attention of all and sundry, would be this coming Saturday. What a tremendous lift that would give our supporters, our team and perhaps give our opponents a little more to think about

We, the fans, as the banner intimated at the Hearts game ---- DESERVE BETTER ---- then, for G##s sake surely our board must act now to lift this gloom that has now settled over our whole club.

24 Apr 2018 11:52:05
because they are clueless chris

24 Apr 2018 13:11:31
because they said murty had it until the end of the season.

24 Apr 2018 13:47:53
Exactly bigandy, guys contracted until the end of the season.

24 Apr 2018 15:30:47
Yes but man city announced guardiola in January to come in the summer! Clubs do it all the time. Murty is the interim manager.

24 Apr 2018 09:07:33
Met an ex rangers player yesterday he said to me that

Frank de Boer and Giovanni Van Bronckhorst are the 2 main candidates for the managers role at ibrox

All the talk of potter Neil Warnock Gerrard
Nielson is all paper talk

He said that the new manager would get his own coaching staff with them and new players

24 Apr 2018 10:59:28
The FDB rumour is showing up a lot now.

He's out a job therefore there would be no compensation to a current club like GVB. Might also explain why we are trying to tie down players so soon (Arfield/ McArthur) .

Opinion seems to be totally split no matter who is mentioned, we need to get right behind whoever is brought it. We have enough enemies without hounding our own.

24 Apr 2018 12:25:56
Fully agree bear

24 Apr 2018 13:32:16
Really don't want de boer

24 Apr 2018 18:23:51
Just because he's out a club doesn't mean no compensation. I'm sure Celtic had to pay comp to Liverpool as when he got sacked he had a clause that if he got a new club within a period of time then comp would be due.

24 Apr 2018 18:28:15
Maybe not Rodgers but I can remember it happening with someone

24 Apr 2018 01:46:10
I was told last night we have been looking at goalkeeper Daniel Bentley of Brentford. Anybody seen this guy?

24 Apr 2018 08:11:21
We're interested in him before. Would cost too much money would be better spent on the defence Imo mate. Good keeper tho

24 Apr 2018 08:52:06
I think everybody is scatter gunning the full team because of the managers failings in the Old Firm semi final (When the teams tactics, shape and personnel are wrong, i'm afraid the buck stops with the manager) .

Wes is a great shot stopper, last season and the early part of this season he has saved us many points, kept us in the first half of the 0-0 Old Firm game at their midden.

If we strengthen the line in front of him I guarantee will stop conceding as many goals.

I can't even remember him making any mistakes this season, other than the belter against Ayr, every keeper has them, even McShagger and Klos had them.

24 Apr 2018 10:32:09
I agree bear mode I rate foderingham he's been out top performer the last 2 seasons in my eyes

24 Apr 2018 10:47:26
Goalkeeping position not priority imo.2 cbs a must or it won't matter who new manager is.

24 Apr 2018 10:58:37
Wes is a good shot stopper but does not command his box and this does costs us so many goals

24 Apr 2018 11:12:27
Frustrated blue, I think we are in the minority, on here anyways.

We have two good keepers, you'd imagine the new manager will definitely be prioritising CB position.

24 Apr 2018 13:37:30
'Everybody is scatter gunning the full team'? I merely mentioned that we were supposed to be looking at a goalkeeper! Nor did I say we even needed a goalkeeper!

24 Apr 2018 14:02:11
Burnbank1, nah mate I didn't mean you specifically, I've just seen a lot of comments about Wes being a bombscare etc.

Just because we were talking about goalkeepers, I wasn't having a go.

24 Apr 2018 15:19:40
Each to their own opinion I guess. I personally would like to see a better standard of keeper. The stats are pretty horrendous. Between this season and last we have played 99 games including league, cups and friendlies. We have let in 104 goals. I 100% agree our defence played a huge part in that stat but a big portion of that has got to be down to goalkeeping aswell.

24 Apr 2018 17:21:51
Why a big portion of it? Guys probably cost us 3 or 4 goals in 2 years saved us plenty more

24 Apr 2018 21:13:51
Frustrated blue, Fod's doesn't command his area, he is suspect at corners, he loses far too many goals from distance, his distribution and positioning are poor and he is slow at getting the ball out. Add all that to losing 104 goals in 99 games and it doesn't make good stats. And to say he has only cost us 3 or 4 of those 104 goals? If we are going to challenge that mob in the future we need to drastically reduce that stat. Yes with a better defence it would but in my opinion fod's just isn't good enough mate.

24 Apr 2018 21:55:55
104 goals is down to fact that we've not had a decent centre half pairing in his time at club. And every goalie is good for at least a couple of howlers a season even the top keepers. If a better goalie comes up fine but fod gets a bad stick on here he saves us a lotmore points than he costs.

24 Apr 2018 22:20:17
It's not a couple of howlers that concerns me mate it's the average of losing more than a goal in every game we have played in the last 99 games. Going by what you are saying the defence is at fault for 100 of the 104 goals. Take away our crap defence, you cannot deny 104 goals in 99 games is horrendous stats for a Rangers goalkeeper.

24 Apr 2018 01:20:54
We have made a second enquiry about Paul Huntington, Preston centre half. Looks like we mean to get him.
