If Ally loses the Old Firm game he is out. Whyte is understood to be furious that Rangers have blown their massive lead in the league. This on top of being put out of Europe at the first hurdle in both competitions and the league cup humbling at Falkirk have sealed his fate.
Whyte was never happy with McCoists appointment and a deal to have Billy Davies in place after the Old Firm game has already been agreed.

Believable68 Unbelievable48

Its the perfect time to spin a Fairy tale, I used to read Hans Christian Anderson novels to the weans at this time of year - but we might have a new story teller, Craig Whyte told the poster personally all of what he has just written on here, also says there is a 55 Million war chest for Billy Davies - ffs get real will you.

Pete

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye na bother mystic meg

Agree0 Disagree0

So ally is being replaced after the old firm game if he wins or loses make up your mind

Agree0 Disagree0

"Whyte was never happy with McCoists appointment" - That Bit is True !! Don't know about wee Billy though - who would want to go down in History as Rangers Last Manager ?

Agree0 Disagree0

First posting from a loyal supporter of over 40 years standing. The performance today was the most inept I have ever witnessed. McCoist proved beyond all doubt that he is not up to the job. The formation was wrong, the tactics a travesty to a team with the history and tradition of Rangers. This was St. Mirren we were playing. We should have been able to drop down to 10 men and still win at a canter. With McCoist in charge and no creative attacking capability or inclination in midfield we could have fielded 20 and still not scored a second goal. The sad thing is, this has been so clearly on the cards for the last few weeks yet McCoist has not had the wit or guile to deal with it tactically. Maybe now that our exaggerated lead has vanished we will set out to be more attack minded rather than hang on to a tenuious lead - trying not to lose the championship rather than win it. And what was Whittacker up to for the first goal. He should be embarrassed to pick up his wages. This season he has been a complete disaster and should be thinking how he can make it up to the club and the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

P45 please for S'Ally. A legend, no doubt, but a total clueless manager, tactically inept and nothing skilful about him. Billy Davies would be a good appointment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy davis is not rangers class we need to keep super ally and the board need to give him money in jan and get the dead wood out

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with the last poster mccoist hasn't got a clue the signings he has made aswell r total rubbish Ortiz bedoya McKay and to give Healy and kerkar new deals he should be replaced pronto before we come even more of a joke

Agree0 Disagree0

Get rid of steve Davis he is shocking most uncreative and 2dimentional player no creativity at all !

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets think whats happened over the last few months Mariblo and Malmoe that was Whittaker and Edu,s time people would have to be told to get the finger out they did for a wee while then Falkirk they would have to be told again .now this wee spell you have to ask big questions about our club captain, never see him at any of the other players christ Whitaker, edu ,jelavic, and his terrible display,s as Rangers captain the captaincy should be taken of him and given to Mcgregor Davis should be sold at this window where he can go back to being sub at some mid table club. Whitaker has cost us to much the same fate is for him and edu .this style of football has seen its day the fans are fed-up with it they have been for a while but the trophy,s still came there are 6/7 players who have no future at raners Christ some have been bought in never given a chance an still have no future.......rant over.........les

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you get this information? Was it a credible informant?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mc lean from st mirren great vision, stevenson from hearts strong and direct,mc kay from inverness very tricky,

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccoist has lost it the team is a complete shambles to lose a 15 point lead is a disgrace against st mirren only wallace got pass marks davis is a waste of space jelavic not interested ande to play bartley centre forward was shocking.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, coistys signings have been shocking and the brand of football is almost as exciting as walters. if rangers blow the title having had such a big lead then questions have to be asked, as for steven davis, he is the most overrated player in the spl. yet again like so often, he was posted missing. i would sell davis and jelavic and bring in 3-4 players with the money. not to mention getting rid of the rest of the dead wood ie, broadfoot, kerker, ortiz, bedoya, lafferty, mcculloch, edu, fleck, mckay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with the post McCoist is hopless and needs to go. Losing to an average first division side in the cup was inexcusable and you only have to look at how well both Malmo and Maribor did in the Europa League (1 point each) to see how embarrassing our european performance was. His signing policy has been a joke with wingers like Ortiz & Bedoya who can't beat players no creative midfield players signed and no strikers. Ally's team are one of the most one paced boring teams in the league and we need a manager who can recognise good players and bring back an attractive style of play to the team. Billy Davies has more managerial experience than McCoist and has been successful in England so if he is not good enough for Rangers then how can McCoist be?

Agree0 Disagree0

So far ally has been a disaster, most of his transfers have been terrible, but the most disapointing thing for me is his reluctance to experiment. Whittaker is never a right back, try him some where else, Edu is never a central midfielder, try him somewhere on the right, Ortiz is never a winger maybe he can play somewhere else. Just try something. We are all watching games and before the whistle is even blown we know we are going to play terribly.

And if someone is going to offer 8M+ for Jelavic bite their hand off and get a striker with a decent first touch.

Agree0 Disagree0

So... Coisty is getting the sack if we get beat, yet you say Davies is already in the door after the old firm game? Even if we win? I agree, some decisions coisty has made have been one of inexperience, Papac center mid?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whittaker has been the cause of many goals over the past few seasons, particularly in the Champions League. He hasn't kicked a ball all season. Davis never a captain and has'nt looked comfortable with the responsibility. In my opinion, if McCoist goes and I think he is not cut out to be our manager, Terry Butcher would be the man for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets see where we are after Wednesday, The guy that says he has been a supporter for 40 years, more like 40 minutes - sorry mate but you have a short memory, I remember us finishing 4th in the League 20 points behind the winners when it was 2 points for a win so do us a favour and put this into perspective, If you want to vent your posion, do it towards McCulloch he was the one who contributed most to our downfall at St Mirren ... Yes McCoist must take some of the blame but get a grip

Pete

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellow rangers fans speaking some sense on here for a change. we have been deprived of descent football for many years, and the people at rangers clearly are not thinking about the loyal supporters who pay a fortune to watch this rubbish week in week out. i fully understand trophies are everything but football is supposed to be an occasion to enjoy and be entertained, unfortunately with this current crop of players they simply dont have the ability to do so!

Agree0 Disagree0

Merry Xmas Timmy. Advance Commiserations for Wednesday.

Agree0 Disagree0

In pre season and the early part of the season I posted a couple of comments on here about Ally mcoists tactics,or lack of them and got slaughtered. The writting was on the wall back then when he gave Whittekar ( a shocking excuse for a right back) a big contract, and started playing kerkar at left back, changing 3 defensive positions in one fell swoop during an import game in europe, taking off our whole left side against s.t mirren in the 1-1 game, where their goal came from that side of the park. Selecting the wrong players, shocking formations, papac in central midfield etc etc etc etc etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

The person who gave me this information is a credible source and is well connected within footballing circles. The deal to bring Davies in has apparently been going on behind the scenes for months and he is the man Whyte originally wanted as manager following his takeover, McCoists appointment and contract was already inked and signed before Whyte completed his takeover, much to his displeasure. Davies is rumoured to be a close personal friend of Whyte's and mark my words he will be Rangers next manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmmmmmmm

Agree0 Disagree0

PLEASE! fellow bears dont be like tic fans and jump on bandwagons... get behind the team and roar them to a victory on wednesday

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard billy davis story a while ago. heard mccoist only got job as a 2 fingers up from the old board, mccoist was given the job a week before whyte took over the club. how could the new owner turn round and sack a club legend before he even had a go? davies is the man whyte wants
the tiger - beyond reproach

Agree0 Disagree0

No timmys on here. just face facts the football at ibrox puts u to sleep

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we have been poor YES a few players need a kick up the back side YES Coisty needs money and help and YES we probably will throw away the league to a poor Celtic team .....But we will bounce back and we will get stronger!! Rangers are on our knees at the minute with the background carry on AND WE ARE STILL TOP OF THE TABLE!! WATP!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Gordon dalziel(who is a close friend of billy davis) was quized about this so called rumour about davies becoming rangers manager and he saysit is 'total nonsense'. so please stop calling for ally to be sacked cause it aint gonna happen!

Agree0 Disagree0

We are so bad according to everyone however we are still one point in front went all those games in the league unbeaten yet we stumble a bit and its back to we have no chance how about we just judge at the end of the season as no matter what we only have the players that are here to put out they should be the ones winning the match

Agree0 Disagree0

Please, please let Billy Davies be installed, class manager who could get us 4 in a row. McCoist, Durrant and Kenny (P45 pleae). Love you all as legends but we need a new change of management, we are a rank rotten stinking stench of a side and the current squad need a rocket up their jackson fives. Seriously, get rid of S'Ally.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe its big Terry thats on whytes wishlist!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate to admit it but Ally just hasn't got it. He's a bad impersonation of Walter Smith and any manager who is not his own man with own ideas will fail. Personally i think Stuart McCall is worth a shout. decent job at bradford and has done great job on small budget at motherwell. also gives youth a chance and plays good football. for me butcher would just be more of the same long ball abomination we are getting just now

Agree0 Disagree0

Terry butcher would be brilliant but not billy davies hes just another walter and ally clone boring defensive football

Agree0 Disagree0

What has billy davis done, if he was that good a manager he,d be still manageing in england, the way people are talking celtic have won the title,

Agree0 Disagree0

Get whyte out don't know why people trust that guy wrong choice

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't believe some of the crap I'm reading on here, obviously none of the haters are real Rangers fans! Steven Davis was class last season and has started a bit slow this year no reason to ship him out, I agree Jelavic does look lazy right now and this may be due to the fact that he is leaving the club in January!
Get behind the team instead of jumping on the McCoist out bandwagon, I'm assuming that most of these posts are from tic fans winding us up, we have suffered a dip in form recently but form goes out the window in an Old Firm, win on Wednesday night and it could propel us back on track to the title!

Agree0 Disagree0

Youll change your tune if we lose on wednesday. we simply cant rely on davis to perform cause you never know what your gonna get. last season was exactly the same, some games he was good, some he was missing! if a descent offer came in then rangers should consider it

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you all not have a very happy christmas, mc coist is a great guy and will be a great manager, just not this season, give the man a bloody chance, from a tim

Agree0 Disagree0

Terry btcher is the man for the job. Ally is a leg but he ius not up to the job

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard this after the euro games billy davis and ray wilkons will take over

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, we lost... where's Billy Davies?

Agree0 Disagree0

On his way!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wen will we here mccoist has been sacked ohh wait its no gonna happen but if we lose to motherwell it could be final straw

Agree0 Disagree0

Still waiting... where is davies? thought it had already been agreed? yup, didn't think so, yet another lie.

Agree0 Disagree0

At Ibrox inking his contract.

January signings
in Boyd (free) mackie (1 million) Allan (750k) Templeton (500k)

out Jelavic (7 million) edu (1.5 million)

source daily mail

Believable20 Unbelievable60

Mackie no chance he is loved at qpr and rated , allan money talks cant see it, boyd id take and templeton

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackie for 1Million? If you think Jamie Mackie for 1 Million then you clearly walk around way yer head in the clouds!

Boyd aint gonna happen, only poosibility is Allen and not at 750K when WBA had 400K accepted!

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont understand all this hype about jelavic. watched him yet again today and he was diabolical. his first touch is dreadful and he lacks consistancy. i for one wouldnt be disappointed to see him leave provided we use some of the money to strengthen the team. as for the rest of the team, same old same old, boring, dull, predictable rubbish. i fear the worst for wednesday!

Agree0 Disagree0

He did state daily mail as source, doesn t mean he felt it was gospel.

Agree0 Disagree0

Back to put and run, players out of position, wrong players on the park, not enough players playing for there wages, system set up on the park all wrong,we are the big team being out played with younger players, we are no longer feared, this has to change in every aspect of Glasgow Rangers football club, asap before we get a right doing from the other half of the old firm............

Agree0 Disagree0

The following transfer scenario's are the most favourable. Jelavic £8m to Liverpool, Edu £1.5m to Wigan. McCulloch, Bedoya, Ortiz, McKay, Broadfoot, Fleck, Healy and Kerkar out (don't care if they are all released, as all utter pish). Transfers' in Templeton , Davidson, Dorrans, Mackie, Boyd and some other midfielders. We then need to give Ness and Perry a chance in the side.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackie 1 million! that's an auffy lot for Darren and his dodgy knee. I think he as no club at the moment anyway

David

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers need to stand up a be counted for the old firm

Agree0 Disagree0

Ad bite your hand of for 7 mill for jella seems like he not in to at with Gers get rid

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackie for 1 million when was the last time a premier league player moved for 1 million? ur a space cadet.

Agree0 Disagree0

U are all space cadets! Where's this cha coming from? Even with jelavic sale ally wont get a penny of it

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic is worth about £9m so naw because if he costed £4m with 1 year of his contract left, he has improve alot and has 3 years left so £7m is crap

Agree0 Disagree0

Do some of my fellow rangers fans actually know anything about football. jelavic fails to light up what is a mediocre league yet according to some hes worth 9million. he blows hot and cold, has a first touch like an elephant and at times looks disinterested. i guarantee you if he moved to england he like davis would make zero impact and would be a bench warmer

Agree0 Disagree0

Mackie no club? didn't he just score for qpr last week?somebody knows nothing about football.

Agree0 Disagree0

i got told last night jeavic is wanted by liverpool and dalglish has him at the top of his wish list and is set to offer big money to ward off all other clubs it will be in the papers by the 5/01/12

Believable19 Unbelievable32

Hopefully coz he's no interested any more ! G.Ryd .

Agree0 Disagree0

A would sell him in January he dose not want to be there anymore if we do sell him a think we should go for Nicky Maynard of bristol city

Agree0 Disagree0

Its hard to say but I would have wanted Boyd playing the day instead of Jelavic, its clear to see to all that he thinks too highly of himself. The way hes playing I would be very surprised if a big club come in for him.

CC

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on, what support did Jelavic have today ? what support has he had since Naismith got injured, he cannot do it all ffs - he was winning headers and having to chase them - get a grip and get off his back please.

Pete

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone should give the team a break, get behind them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't get me wrong, I am fully behind the team and always have been, just can't believe how much we have struggled since Naismith got injured. Thought it was a strange move taking Lafferty off too. In regards to Jelavic, the boy is class and we all know it, he just isnt showing that today.. when he did get the ball, his touch was bad and kept giving it away, thats not the players around him to blame.

CC

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellow blue noses, Jelavic is a total class act but to ask him to put in a consistant performance when he is surrounded by the worst Rangers midfield (ever) and no half decent strike partner is very difficult. I would take the money for Jelavic, resign Boyd on a free, purchase another SPL standard striker and then two new central midfielders. The defence is fine and wee Davis will be better when he does not have an a**ehole playing next to him in midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totaly agree with the coment above its the worst midfeild ever ! Watp .G.Ryd

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been very poor this season just when we have needed him to step up, yeah the rest of the team are rotten too but at 4 million quid I think we deserve more, if a good offer comes in is take it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually thin getting Boyd would be good, and with Jelavic's workrate, he can feed Boyd in front. I think they would work well together.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic's workrate what workrate, Kenny Miller showed you the meaning of workrate, Jelavic is less mobile than Boyd, wake up he's had a poor first half to the season, he's not been any better than the guys the ripped week in week out !

Agree0 Disagree0

Take all the money you can get for him, give huddersfield an offer they cant refuse for rhodes, adam le fondre slipped through the net last year and has shown his worth at reading he would have banged them in up here.

We were amazing that day

according to a journalist on clyde 1 who interviewed ally mccoist over the kris boyd situation, said on air that he very much got the impression that ally wont consider boyd and will persue other options.(well lets hope so). we badly need a creative midfielder and striker to partner jelavic

Believable13 Unbelievable9

Rangers against stmirren was terrible today mcoist need a player like boyd that will get us a goal against the smaller team an give the man a chance against the bigger team he will score goal jelavic doesnt score every game he looks like his heart aint at rangers just now we need goals we need boyd simple.bring boyd back

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely agree with that, Jelavic is just not interested now, poor first touch today poor finishing, Boyd would have buried that chance in the second half, Bring back Boyd!

Cash in on Jelavic now when we can get a good price for him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree partly with above post. jelavic isnt as good as being made out and i would sell him but kris boyd is not the answer. that also applies to one trick pony kyle lafferty. i fear that rangers are in big trouble. ally is new walter smith, ANTIFOOTBALL

Agree0 Disagree0

We had a few chances against st mirren that boyd would have burried, we defo need him back no matter what anyone thinks. Sone Aluko is the best player we have now, we need to get the ball going through him as much as poss in games and with someone like Boyd to bury the chances he creates

RANGERS are eyeing a move for England Under-21 squad star Jacob Butterfield.
The Barnsley midfielder, 21, has been in fine form at Oakwell this season.
SunSport understands Ibrox chiefs have been impressed by the Tykes talisman, who is out of contract in the summer.
They could trigger the same cross-border compensation loophole Celtic used to land Adam Matthews on the cheap.
Ex-Manchester United trainee Butterfield has been Barnsley's beating heart in the Championship.
He also won a call-up to Stuart Pearce's squad for their recent double header with Iceland and Belgium.
Butterfield is a man in demand with Aston Villa, Stoke, Everton and Southampton keeping tabs on the Bradford-born star.
Sources in Yorkshire have now also revealed Rangers' interest. Tykes boss Keith Hill this week slammed claims Butterfield could leave next month.
Hill made Butterfield the club's youngest captain in the club's history and put a new deal on the table.
That is still unsigned, meaning Butterfield can speak with clubs and sign a pre contract in January.
Hill said: "We've offered him a substantially improved contract and if it has to go to a tribunal it will
