Lets all support Murty until the end of the season. hope he gets a few players in Jan. then push on for the 2nd part of the season

Reckon Mcinnes and Ashley will be running Rangers by the start of the new season.

King etc are a laughing stock now sorry to say.

Good we got Declan john good player.

24 Dec 2017 20:52:46
Can believe Ashley might buy us but can’t see McInnes. I wanted him because he was a safe bet. If Ashley seriously wants to get his sports brand into Europe then he would need to put down some serious cash to challenge for the title. With his money we can do much better than McInnes

24 Dec 2017 22:30:20
You people are unbelievable man, you want Ashtray to buy our club? am sure myself and the rest of the true fans will block that.

24 Dec 2017 22:56:03
Aye because the current board and owners are really flinging their money at us. I am not an Ashley fan but I would imagine we would be better run under him than that clown King.

25 Dec 2017 00:24:36
That clown king saved the club your so ungrateful man he just needneed to get investments

25 Dec 2017 07:47:55
Harhun Why should the board fling money into the club, your club as many say, How much have you invested in the club, Who are YOU going to buy for your team in January, The board has invested lots but you want a sugar daddy to treat you,

25 Dec 2017 13:33:03
Short memory some people took ages to get rid Ashley why do people think he’s interested putting loads a money in mans a gangster who would sell his granny not to be trusted ye need investment not with the fat man

25 Dec 2017 18:41:28
i don't believe i read this nonsense every week. people with no patience. we are where we are because of exactly that reason, spending money we don't have. fffp stops us spending money we don't have no matter who supplies it. we aren't viable at the moment, who would buy shares and remember somone has to sell them first.

26 Dec 2017 10:37:26
Dsgersfan I've probably invested the same as you financially. are you honestly trying to say the current board are doing a decent job. we're a laughing stock for Christ sake. I also hardly think I am looking for a "sugar daddy" maybe that's more your thing. I am looking for a level of investment with a purpose, that should be for us at least challenging to win our own league first. as right now we're light years away. As I said I am not an Ashley fan, however his business model isn't the worst.
Could I ask what your master plan is?

26 Dec 2017 11:00:42
Anyone who calls himself a person isn't a real Rangers fan and he'd know that. Now jog on, timmy.

26 Dec 2017 15:00:41
So how does it go when Ashley puts Lambias etc back in the boardroom, do you all welcome them with open arms? I doubt it myself .

26 Dec 2017 15:05:12
the clown has taken the club as far as he and his weak board can.

26 Dec 2017 15:06:40
DSGERS
What makes you think you are a true fan? You are obvious not too bright if you think nobody can stop a take over.
Your previous posts show youhavnt a clue about how a business works and this one confirms it.

What did Ashley, as a businessman do that was wrong?
Do you understand his job it to get the best deal s company?
If he comes to us with several millions and does the best deal for his investment we would be laughing.

The true Newcastle fans realise he was the best for them as they couldn't get another John Hall.
True Rangers want the best for the club not an opportunity to spout petty, ill-informed opinions based on a lack of inte

26 Dec 2017 15:09:10
Ashley, are you mad, after 8 Million pounds and several court cases you think the board and our majority shareholder will just let him walk back in. Merry Xmas Moon Howler!

27 Dec 2017 17:46:40
Harhun, flinging money at a business losing millions of pounds a year is not hardly but precisely what a sugar daddy is!
Deeb, your post actually shows that you don't know how a business works. FFP doesn't allow anyone to outlay vast sums of money without any prospect of a return. As I've said previously the possibility of Champions League for Scottish teams will have disappeared by the time we are ready for it. As for your ill informed opinions on Newcastle fans, there is not a single one of them true or otherwise that think Ashley was best for them, and NONE of them have been laughing since he took over.

27 Dec 2017 22:23:18
Sugar daddy, massive investment, its all la la land stuff. Now I said it many times why don't we do something really outrageous AND LIVE WITHIN OUR MEAN. I know it might sound a crazy idea to some on here but it works for most clubs in Scotland. Get solid foundations and build. I know you might thing I'm a rosemary (clooney=loony) but we tried throwing money at it (mostly borrowed) and it not certainly not the answer.

Oh wait I've just woke from my dream that we were run prudently and effectively, ok let get back to reality is it a English, Russian or Arab sugar daddy we want. Ed can we have a poll (no punt meant lol)

{Ed033's Note - puns are ok, but no punts please.

24 Dec 2017 20:42:28
Hey guys. 2 points here.

1st.

Thankfully we have a manager now. like murty and I hope he stays in control even after his time out jumps back to under 20s and get us some wee gems from there if he don't get a new contract.

2nd.

If the rumour is true Declan John signs contract with us. well done murty for getting the job and 1st point making him your first signing. shows that murty has an eye for talent and we all know John has talent. now let's see who you keep and bring in to this team in January window.

Thoughts guys?

24 Dec 2017 20:51:36
its not a rumour. he has signed on a 3.5 yr deal

24 Dec 2017 20:54:27
I doubt he had anything to do with the signing and I would hardly say he has an eye for talent when he John was already at the club lol

24 Dec 2017 22:40:53
Do you really want people's thoughts on that load of nonsense? Eye for talent. Unbelievable.

26 Dec 2017 14:06:42
Declen John is very average he is just better than some of the dross we have that's all but would hardly call him a real talent lol.

24 Dec 2017 20:36:46
Pound to a penny Derek McInnes becomes the manager at the end of the season.

24 Dec 2017 21:42:58
No chance will derek mcinnes EVER be the glasgow rangers manager! I for one am glad about that, as delboy mcinnes hasn't got it to be our manager! He had his chance and knocked it back! Unfortunately for him he'll never be asked again! The guy is an absolute choker and our job is too big for him!

26 Dec 2017 00:37:29
Supercoopereleven. . what a load of pants! The guy is a choker? On what grounds? He is streets ahead of Mr Murty. absolute streets ahead. Just because his Aberdeen team can't beat a Celtic team which cost millions to assemble doesn't mean he is a choker. Its not the players fault then? They can beat everybody else but when they are rubbish against Celtic it's the managers fault. I cannae believe I'm answering u. I must be just as daft as you. You must have been a great team player. When u win u r magic, a brilliant player and when u lose its the managers fault. does that even sound normal in your head before you put it doon in writing?

26 Dec 2017 03:18:35
Mcinnes had his chance, He doesn't deserve to be given another. I hope it all works out with Murty. The guy is very knowledgeable on the game you can tell that in his interviews, has a good relationship with the players and looks to be blooding youngsters into the first team. Something we should've done 5 years ago in division 3. Not paying stupid money for Ian Black and John Daly ect.

26 Dec 2017 10:44:06
OK Dutch! How many big games has delboy mcinnes won? Graeme murty our UNDER 20'S COACH, was tactically too good for mcinnes in our double header against the sheep! He has said time and time again how fabulous celtic are and how he just can't beat them! If that's someone you're wanting at ibrox as our longterm answer to catching celtic, then good for you! I certainly don't because like i said and i stick by it, delboy mcinnes chokes/ bottles it in the must win bigger games! Graeme murty imo is a better choice at this particular time, than mcinnes is, to be our manager! Not i'm not for 1 minute saying murty was originally my no.1 choice but in our current system with a DOF murty is a better fit than mcinnes, simple as that! Check mcinnes's big game record out for yourself and for that matter his record as bristol City manager, its deplorable mate!

26 Dec 2017 15:01:16
Maybe, just maybe Supercooper he had a wee look under the bonnet and realised there was NOTHING any good manager could do with the team and the plans the board had? Is that not possible? He didn't want to be the next Mcoist / Mcall/ Warburton etc, basically every manager since The Rangers started in the lowest division .

24 Dec 2017 17:19:51
Heard from a source of mine that Jimmy nicholl will be brought in as murtys assistant. Thoughts?

24 Dec 2017 18:30:26
Wen did he last have a Job because av no heard bout him in years man

24 Dec 2017 18:57:00
He's cowdenbeith manager

24 Dec 2017 19:24:19
And assistant to m oneil with northern ireland

24 Dec 2017 20:33:28
Has Murty worked with him in the past? Indicated that the coach will be someone who understands his style etc, as opposed to ex ger.

25 Dec 2017 01:13:21
He is n Ireland assistant and Falkirk assistant.

26 Dec 2017 15:02:21
Under 14s manager getting promoted to his assistant 😂

24 Dec 2017 08:43:56
Murty hoping to offload alves, Cardoso and dalcio in January.

24 Dec 2017 09:28:12
Along with Pena, Nemane, Herrera, Dodoo and Forrester to name a few others.

24 Dec 2017 12:18:46
Could probably throw in another 5 or 6 names to be fair

24 Dec 2017 12:50:38
good luck trying to get rid of those duds, I've pretty much praised murty constantly but yesterdays performance was shambolic we had zero ideas all we did was punt balls into channels or upto our lone striker who is under 6ft to try and get us something out of it if that's the best murty can tactically offer then the rest of the season will be even more miserable than it already there's not one leader in that team no desire mccrorie try his hardest but we shouldn't be looking at him to be our main source of fight my mate was in the directors area yesterday he said our board spent the whole game laughing and joking pretty much sums up the shambles that our club is right now also the headlines am reading today it looks like our DOF is already trying to work his ticket out of the club

24 Dec 2017 13:25:04
Murty might hope he can get rid. But getting rid of players on 2 and 3 year contracts has proven hard in the past. Alves and Cardoso could most definitely get club's in Portugal, but them moving on doesn't necessarily mean a cash boost. If they leave they will have been freed likely. Who do we bring in their place? Wouldn't fancy leaving Bates and the two Wilsons until May.

24 Dec 2017 13:37:55
Only time will tell who goes if any who stays who signs etc in jan must have some cash floating about if not dec. john would still b on loan and not b on 3 1/ 2 yr deal

24 Dec 2017 14:02:51
Alves? Murty may be out of his depth but surely he can see Alves has been OK for us? Definitely good enough for this dreadful Rangers team . Cardoso as well is not the worst. Not great I agree but as far as current defenders go Hodson is the worst, closely followed by Bates. If I had to pick one man to leave the club this winter however it'd be King, with that muppet DOF closely second.

24 Dec 2017 15:10:50
Totally agree I would play cardoso and Alves before Bates
I think the game yesterday showed how bad we can play surely we can’t play worse than that. Who do u think will be in during transfer window

24 Dec 2017 16:54:41
Alves is still head and shoulders above the other defenders we have if the midfield was not so week he would stand out a lot more. And as for Cardoso he has not been great but still he is not that bad and still a lot lot better than bates and Wilson. If teams in Portugal see us playing bates and Wilson over Alves and cardoso they must laugh there asses off at us. I mean bates and Wilson with Alves on the bench c'mon it's a total joke.

24 Dec 2017 16:57:14
Shows how far we have fallen when some fans talk about keeping the likes of alves and Cardoso! Deary me

24 Dec 2017 18:25:34
Why is it everytime we have a bad result some supporters start looking for scapegoats, for gods sake the above mentioned were not even on the park yesterday!
Lets stop being insular and blaming the foreign players all the time, Alves is the best and most experienced central defender that we have and he is a very good organiser, the problem is that our full backs don't always track back and cover, Alves is then left with the choice of either sticking with his man or being drawn away from his man to try and close down the man with the ball, this is then leaving gaps which leads to us conceding goals,
Our back four were a disgrace yesterday. 34 year old and overweight Kris Boyd ran riot in our box. we were lucky not to concede more than 2 goals, to be honest our scottish born defenders just were'nt good enough, it might have been different if Alves and Cardoso were playing?
Theres no sense in playing Herrera for a few minutes at the end of every game and then slating the guy for not scoring, he's a big guy give him a start along side Morelos

24 Dec 2017 18:49:31
Keeping alves a guy the still plays for his national team who won the euros last year I go one ronnie9 tell us who u would have

24 Dec 2017 19:00:24
Regardless of his experience he has been a bit of a disappointment and come the start of next season he will be sure closed for his lack of pace

24 Dec 2017 20:24:37
jetmayfair herrera shouldn't b getting 10 minutes at all for a man his size he’s physically a nightmare and hasn't adapted to our game at all i’d rather we gave hardie a run out because herrera has no future at our club hardie may yet have as far as alves is concerned he hasn't bn outstanding but he is by far our best centre half i also feel danny wilsons a different player with alves beside him

24 Dec 2017 20:27:52
RonnieR9,apart from young ross mccrorie, none of our centre halfs have pace! But big alves with ease is the best centre half at ibrox! Even at 35 years old!

24 Dec 2017 20:28:57
Jetmayfair I couldn’t agree more

24 Dec 2017 20:44:07
Bang on jetmayfair agree with your post 100%

24 Dec 2017 20:47:36
Tbh, if Pedro can get rid of the dross from last season, Murty has a chance.

Whilst alves for me has under achieved, he's not the worst.

Out of Pedro's signings, I would only keep: alves, John, Jack, dorrans, morelos and candias.

Add tav and Wallace, you're not a million miles away from a decent team on paper.

All relative I know, as none of these guys would be in a starting 11 of years gone past, but we need to start somewhere (again) .

24 Dec 2017 21:10:16
Colshygers. How do you know that Herrera hasn't adapted to our game? I could understand your reasoning if the guy had half a dozen full games and played utter rubbish, missed sitters etc, he has been a full international in a team which are way above Scotland in the FIFA rankings, Until we see him getting a good run of games we won't know how good he is? But I do think it is totally unfair to judge any player by seeing him a few minutes here and there, I personally haven't seen him come on as a sub and miss a load of chances,

24 Dec 2017 21:46:41
Why give Murty money to spend in January if he won’t in all likelihood be the manager for next season
The whole appointment of mark Allen just seems bizarre!
Who needs a director of football when we could all see that the likes of mcginn and moult would have been excellent additions to the team, we could easily have got moult for 450-500k but no let’s persist with Herrera and an aging miller

24 Dec 2017 22:02:11
herrera is garbage its simple to see he has no interest to get involved in the physical side of our game maybe you’ve forgot his performance at dens park a few weeks back but i haven't its as bad as I've saw from a rangers player in a long time

25 Dec 2017 15:15:05
Hopefully get some players moved on and a few who know the league in. Never understood bringing so many foreign players in at same time. Thought might work but clearly has not. Pena, Alves, cardosa, dalcio, nemane, Niko should leave. Not worked out in my opinion.

Walker, McLean, and a couple more hopefully come in. World Cup next year so approach big clubs and get hungry players in for 6 months. It might be spl but goals and performances might take them to Russia.

25 Dec 2017 15:19:52
dalcio is only a loan and can end his time when ever he wants.

25 Dec 2017 15:21:03
That what graeme told u ronnie was it

26 Dec 2017 12:43:39
What's with the obsession with McLean? Every time I've seen him this season he's been poor. Walker too.
Yeh, we need better players and Scottish would be ideal, but we need international players for the first team, not squad players that we have plenty of already.

26 Dec 2017 15:03:32
Austerity lads, all about cutting costs before it all goes tIts up, Valentines day 2 coming soon!

23 Dec 2017 22:45:53
Folks, what's the thoughts on what I've been told. My father in law was at a charity do the other week and the goalie was there who my father in law got talking to and apparently once Mike Ashley sells Newcastle, he's going to buy rangers as he and DK are on amicable terms now. I know many will say they don't want him near the club, however after another gutless, leaderless, clueless display today coupled with the court ruling that DK has to make an £11 million share offer and he's already stated he can't afford it where do we go from here? We've taken 2 months to appoint an under 20's coach who's tactical knowledge is limited to say the least, players who just aren't good enough but we paid a fortune for and can't afford to get rid of them. Should we take Mike Ashley's money or be happy with mid table mediocrity for years to come?

24 Dec 2017 00:45:11
Mike Ashley does what ever he has to in order to get the best deal for him and his company. A lot of rangers fans hate him for being able to get the deal he did. Good business though for him. Ultimately Ashley has very deep pockets and if his intimate goal is to get his brand in Europe he could do that relatively cheaply with Rangers. The last Rangers team that won the league was put together for 22.5 million if I’m correct. Could be wrong but it wasn’t far off it. If he wants to invest and it leads to better quality of player and better leadership from above then why not. Can’t be worse than what’s going on right now

24 Dec 2017 01:02:48
Lol said it months ago ass ley buying king out

24 Dec 2017 01:19:51
The goalie will spout any old nonsense to anyone who's willing to buy him a drink.

Ashley can do one, I don't have a short memory.

24 Dec 2017 10:14:42
Why do people keep going on about Ashley wanting to get his brand in Europe? You do realise he could just sponsor the shirt of another league winner, it's not expensive! Unlike buying and running a club. We can't allow another owner to come in and not have Rangers interests at heart, we need to learn to live within our means, that shouldn't mean we have to watch dross week in week out, it just means we have to run our club more efficiently.
Any manager coming in will still have the second largest in the league and should be able to challenge Celtic. They are not that great as their performances in Europe have shown.

24 Dec 2017 11:36:21
Well said zikos
I've been saying the same for years but most fans want us to run before we can walk. I might take time but we will get there. Most fans prise this board but what have they actually done (apart from some putting their hands in their pockets which we all appreciate) . They got rid of Ashley (at a price) but gave us the 2 worse managers in our history. What's their plans for our commercial department. Will they open stores, have a distribution network and storage Or go back to Ashley or AN Other and try and get the 7p in the £ up to 9p and claim a other wonderful victory for the board.

24 Dec 2017 13:58:25
Funny how people still think he will invest in the clubs he has owned. Everything he allegedly puts in are just interest free loans. Look at the Newcastle deal. Total deal is 330 million and 180 mill are to pay back the interest free loans. Seems weird that given all the money from the perm and I parachute payments that he would have to put loans in. Clear as day he has been withdrawing this cash and running the club in interest free loans (which he ll get back) seems a bit familiar with the 500k payment for the loan of the Newcastle 5 right after we got 500k for McLeod!

24 Dec 2017 21:01:30
Be careful what you wish for. Yes he could pump in millions, but at what cost? Renaming stadiums, merchandising, selling training complex. who knows.

Is this acceptable if we win league and have a good team on the park?

25 Dec 2017 15:16:39
This Ashley thing is rubbish, getting his brand across Europe, first after Brexit it won't matter about selling into Europe, second Champions League have I think five main sponsors who advertise at their games all other sponsors are covered up on these nights as has happened at Ibrox when we last played in Europe, so any Sports Direct signs would not be allowed to appear during these games, remember the mess he left Newcastle in I'm afraid there is no sugar daddy we had one chance to build a team this board blew it, employed two dud managers gave them millions to spend and we have a team full of duds .

Now we have Murty who has been hung out to dry by this inept board we needed a man in who would drag this club up by its shoe laces just like Sounnes did all those years ago forget he had a huge budget I'm talking about presence about a man the players feared a Jock Wallace a man who would have stripped the paint off the dressing room walls after our recent results Murty is an U20s coach he is out of his depth.

I'm not having a go at him in fact I feel sorry for him he could not turn the job down now he is the man in front of the cameras taking all the flack for the boards mistakes will they hide in their dark tower releasing daft statements criticising people who said no to their job, they should look at themselves in the mirror and ask how long can we keep making a complete mess of this club before the fans walk.

I've supported this club for nearly forty years I've seen less than ten thousand at games so please don't give me we don't do walking away I've sat their when fans had walked so we are in a very precarious position here and I really fear for our clubs future unless the board pull some rabbits out of the hat in the Jan transfer window to lift the morale of the fans just let's see the crowd on Wed it may tell us a lot see yous there
