Heard Radio snide, Jim Delahunt saying Celtic had offered to pay for tickets up front for Ibrox, Ed can you confirm thought this was a tit for tat thing as they accused us of breaking the seats at breezeblock towers a few seasons ago or something along those lines {Ed001's Note - they are paying for the tickets up front, yes.}

Believable32 Unbelievable13

A touch of class yet again by Celtic, in helping you stay open for business for another few weeks

Celtic should be applauded for this, but i wouldn't hold my breath

taco

Agree0 Disagree0

It wasn't an accusation but fact. I know it hurts but I'm sure you are a big bhoy and will get over it

Agree0 Disagree0

Youv just showed youv nae class taxo by tryin tae score some cheap points , if its true its a nice touch but youv just let yir self down son , tedbear

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not bitter so will thank celtic for it, i dont care where the money comes from as long as my club survives.. craig+babybear...p.s hope we skelp you though

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was up to me, you wouldn't receive any tickets. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Sellick doin this so they can demand money upfront for parkheed game playin games can see through that **** lawwell all day long

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic asked rangers for the ticket money in advance for match at parkhead to which rangers paid it and rangers have done exactly the same

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell them to bolt. if they can survive without us. dont need anything af them. graeme

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair play to them .... Nice of them to help us out. We need as much money in as possible. Hope we jacked up the prices though !

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not trying to score any cheap points, or accusing the OP. i genuinely think it's a decent thing done by Celtic, and with all the crap being flung at our club through no fault of Celtics, i think they deserve to be given credit for it

taco

Agree0 Disagree0

Know it's against spl rules but I would give them f***all.fill the stadium our selfs.give them credit ? Stop trying to take moral high ground.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice touch my arse. They charged us up front for the last old firm game and this was a tit for tat measure.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're only paying so the game stays on, so the tax paying police officers can get paid to keep the game on.

Ska bhoy( paying his taxes)

Agree0 Disagree0

If cash flow really is a problem why don't the bears all unight and donate at least Ł10 a head next home game ?? Would personally donate at least a ton and have pledged a grand for the cause w.a.t.p!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Pledge al the monopoly money you like.
How muuch cold hard cash has been raised? 0 pence.
Harsh but true.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Old Firm (it's in the name) we scratch each others backs! We need to co-exist for the good of both clubs & that is true no matter what Mr Lawwell says. So Celtic paying for tickets up front confirms that relationship.
ThatsNotMyName

Agree0 Disagree0

I support celtic and lawell doesn't have a clue. We both need each other.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget about this stupid tit for tat the main thing the game is on a full house at ibrox rangers v celtic best game around 2 sets of passionate fans and hopefully a great game of football on the day gers might sneak it tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair doos to the celtic fans a full house is needed at all our home games

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in glasgow and a rangers and newcastle fan, been to many old firm games and tyne wear derbys, no offence to any1, and i know i will get abuse for this but, newcastle sunderland games have a far better atmosphere, as does any newcastle game in general compared to a rangers, every1 says how the last home game had an amazing atmosphere, i was there and it was extremely average, at the toon its better than that all the time. as i said, i am a proud bear, but ibrox has gone to the dogs the last few years, criminal to sing now. anyway, heres to a good march and hopefully some millionaire buying the most successful on the planet. WATP Magpie Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point respect i been to that game too but to be honest it dosnt even compare to an old firm game rangers v celtic beats it by miles who agrees both grounds ibrox and parkhead in the glasgow derby is the best atmosphere passion not always the best games but its electric 2 sets of the most passionate fans who hate to lose rangers v celtic anyday

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry pal celtic v rangers is the best

Agree0 Disagree0

It really doesn't compare, i hate it when people who have never been to other games say "old firm is the biggest and best game" atmosphere wise, its not even the best game in the uk, i actually travel around and experience other games, newcastle sunderland is far better in the stadium, and I've been to games in holland with only 30 thousand or so and they have been far better too, trust me, as a bluenose, I'm embarrassed by this as well, the atmosphere last was crap and every was saying how great it was, it really wasn't, i felt like a criminal at times, trying to start songs and people just look at you like you're a dick, ibrox gone to the dogs, unfortunately, hope things pick up as we up there with the bigger supported clubs around, but ibrox atmosphere needs a good shake up, maybe the players will get a lift and maybe we will start winning again. but the timmys can have the league this year, we will be back, bigger and stronger than ever before because we don't do walking away. (wonders how long it will take for the comments to start rolling in tell me old firm is a crazy atmosphere and no1 has been to a big game outside glasgow) WATP Magpie Rangers, any1 go to the pre-season friendly with toon last year and drink in the paisley road before and after the game?? if you did, thats what the toon fans are all about, we really need that sort of vocal support at ibrox!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers v sellik cannie beat it

Agree0 Disagree0

Lawell demanded the money upfront in the last game as like most Celtic fans he seen this coming, and was proactive in getting the money upfront ensuring he wasn't left in a similar situation as united.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Celtic done the decent thing, But they are not owed anything from Rangers, But there are a few clubs that Rangers have to visit yet this season, who will certainly not be paying out what they should, And Why should they pay out their pounds to get pennies Back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ska bhoy you do realise that just because our club (not urs) is in turmoil & has difficulty paying bills of any form, it does not mean our fans are facing bankruptcy. I happen to pay my own way, majority of Ibrox rangers fans work & pay taxes also. U need to invest some of ur millions on a life my friend - if all u can contribute to this site is inflammatory & pointless drool! Why don't you go to ur own home page?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done celtic pocket change for the hoops. champions

Agree0 Disagree0

I was lucky enough to attend a madrid v barca game a couple of years ago and i can tell u the atmosphere was good but doesn't compare to that of an old firm derby. yes the atmosphere in lbrox isn't as it once was probably because there's not much to get excited about watching the likes of mcculloch and broadfoot. best atmosphere at ibrox was the game against parma where we won 2-0 and it was absolutely electric.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic paid Rangers up front for all their ticket allocation, why? Because they can. Where are Rangers now, under the boot heel of Celtic football club, and like it or not that is where Rangers will stay for years to come

Agree0 Disagree0

You've got to laugh at celtics double standards, how many years were you screwing the tax man by claiming you were a athletic club, I don't remember many track events at parkhead ! Pot kettle springs to mind

Agree0 Disagree0

You'll not even get beyond the qualifying rounds of champions league.

Agree0 Disagree0

You break you pay, most businesses will tell you this, don`t touch what you can`t afford, muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea fan here our home games have a better atmosphere than ibrox chelsea v spurs is the best in my view

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it with that mob constantly on the radio phone ins bitching about every little thing rangers do , they must scroll every newspaper and web sight to throw dirt at everything to do with rangers my god thr are some really bitter and obsessed people out thr , they are really proving the fact that they hate rangers more than they love celtic. Get a grip guys

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fan here. Some of the comments on here are a joke. Yes Rangers are in trouble financially, but that is no fault of the Rangers fans. For all the decent Bears out there I feel for you because what the previous board and this person whyte has done to your club. I think the Old Firm need each other more than people think and as for what derbies are the best, Old Firm all day long for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Old firm atmosphere anyday

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks celtic peace out

Agree0 Disagree0

When the time comes I will give money to Rangers, as will many others. but I didn't pledge to the save Rangers.com at the moment, as the minimum was 500 quid, and I wouldn't like to say yes I'll pay 500 then only afford 2 or 3 hundred. When the time comes I along with many others will dig deep into our pockets. Even if we win the big tax case I hope it still happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed any thoughts on how much money at this time is unaccounted for?I reckon £5million Jelavic sale £9million tax @vat not paid £6.5million left over Tiketus sale.Why put our club into Admin.Surely the Administraters have to find this money quickly and get us out off this mess. {Ed001's Note - the Jelavic payments are in instalments, the first instalment has been received by the club and confirmed to have done so by the administrators. The tax money is not unaccounted for, it just hasn't been paid. In fact it seems most of the money, apart from the Ticketus money, has been accounted for, though a lot of it has been diverted to other companies.}

Believable12 Unbelievable18

The tax money is unaccounted for, it would have been taken off the players wages but not passed on to HMRC {Ed001's Note - and stayed in the club's accounts and not gone out, so accounted for!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes its accounted in buying and paying for players you could not otherwise have afforded.... hence the reason you should be stripped of last couple of seasons titles..... You club is skint.... Long may it continue...... Wonder who you lot will support when Rangers are no more....

Agree0 Disagree0

I see no point in denying reality, Whyte is not the enemy, HMRC is not the enemy, Murray is not the enemy. The enemy is a business structure that operates at a loss, there is no sense putting 10 million pounds per year into a business that loses 10 million per year.
Think of administration and a CVA as a mechanism for reconstructing the business to a break even level. once this is achieved then any money invested in the club can finance growth not debt.
The big tax case and the small tax case will be part of the CVA, in 18 months all this financial reorganising will be forgotten by all except a few Celtic fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cva looks like the next step for the club

Ed is there any indication as to when a decision on the big tax case will be?

Cheers {Ed001's Note - nothing mate, sorry.}

Believable7 Unbelievable0

They are saying april

Agree0 Disagree0

I know how you feel mate ,,this is driving me nuts waiting,,would just like to know one way or another,,the only consolation is that it cant be as clear cut as we first thought or we would have had the bad news by now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Decision to be made in april

Agree0 Disagree0

No news is good news

Agree0 Disagree0

3 days before liquidation.

Agree0 Disagree0

My cousin works for hmrc and my Auntie was tellin me earlier that if we had paid the paye and vat money they would have been happy enough, the main reason they are forcing the big case is down to whyte not paying the tax owed. It does appear that we wont loose the tax case. I dont have alot of information as my couson lives and works in scotland and were from northern ireland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does it matter where you live, he could give you exactly the same information if you lived in Scotland or NI. I smell sh1te.

Agree0 Disagree0

Decision the start of April i think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lack of information is the worst who agrees

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we can only go on wat the admin guys say daily worrying times though

Agree0 Disagree0

Well she luves in scotlabd so i havent seen her for three years thats why

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard they will announce it on 1st April, just to prove that the tax man can have a laugh.
He will announce that you won, then hald an hour later pronounce April Fool.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks everyone yea it's fustrating just want a decision so we can move on either way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Next 3 months is going to be worse i fear firstly this admin ebt affair missing money sfa investigation into players contracts wee tax case the big tax case the the million pound a month deficit we are running missing money from ticketus possible cva hanging over us it seems never ending seems if there is no motivation from the players to be fair ally has made some tactical mistakes as a rangers fan i cant see any end of this dismal episode we should have had the league wrapped up in december all our own failings how on earth did we get in this state not good enough ps we rangers fans want answers now

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest it was always going to be difficult replacing walter smith i said two years ago ally would be a good coach for the club but not a good manager and was given stick what do you think ed ? on the other hand with all the turmoil the guy is trying his best which i do respect but not manager material by any means let the truth be told

Agree0 Disagree0

Allys not had any funds to strenghting the first team squad this is why we 13 points behind

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate its 23 points now not 13

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally has brought in players, just turns out his judgement has been crap.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've seen some interesting posts about donating money at home games for the rest of the season... I think we could raise a mill+....maybe more... Just a shame it wasn't done last week when passion was running at it's highest the hour leading up to kick off...I imagine an online donation site would suit them (by them I mean whoever deals with that)because it wouldnt be all 10 bob notes... But we should of had both options open to us already. PaulRFC

Believable7 Unbelievable24

Monthly direct debit from fans would help with the running costs of the club each month and help with transfers also

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rangers supporters had not buried their heads in the sand and went into total denial mode then maybee this could have been done. Instead of openly looking at what was being said, Rangers supporters maintained administration wuldn't happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

A waste of time and money, Rangers WILL be liquidated regardles of the bigger tax case.
There are still debts of about 40 million, with 24 million ticketus, 15 million tax/vat/paye, money to other spl clubs, other unpaid debts.
Whyte will own Ibrox and rent it back to rangers at a ridiculous rent.
Liquidation will happen, the administrators are slowly softening everyone up and rangers will be lucky to see the seasons end.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed im hearing that the celtic fan are going on to the saverangers site and giving fake details acting as ranger fans, trying to give false hope to us while laughing........can anything be done to stop this ? {Ed001's Note - the site is acting to filter them out, but it is only a pledge anyway, they are wasting their time, if anything helping it to get off the ground.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What rangers need is 4 or 5 big money people buying 49 per cent of the club and 51 percent of the fans buying the rest end of

Agree0 Disagree0

Good point paul it would be great to donate money this crisis couldnt have come at a worse time normal fans are finding it difficult as it is in the current climate times are hard for us all will be interesting to see how much is pledged i would give a small donation if it was set up properly so would many more bread and butter rangers fans very good point posted

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see the headlines after the next Rangers home game.
Fans collection cancelled, No funds available to purchase a collecting bucket.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha Ha Brilliant, Ah can just see yeas awe, Walking doon the Govan Road in your wee blue jersey's with your Plastic buckets, Are yeas gonnay go round the pubs at night as Well? Yea Just Can't Make this Stuff up.

STV News

Lafferty out for another 4 to 6 weeks with his hamstring injury ........ aye right, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

One more appearance and Rangers are due a payment of £250k to Burnely.

Don't think we'll be seeing Mr Lafferty again this season.

Believable51 Unbelievable5

As we are in administration Burnley would NOT receive any payment even if the clause was evoked. Whilst in administration we do not have to pay anything to anyone but the administrators will try to keep the company going normally so it is more appealing to new owners.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster who said

"As we are in administration Burnley would NOT receive any payment even if the clause was evoked. Whilst in administration we do not have to pay anything to anyone but the administrators will try to keep the company going normally so it is more appealing to new owners."

You are totally wrong.

Any payments incurred after the date of the administration must be paid and it is the administrators legal duty to do so. The Lafferty payment only becomes payable after he plays one more game, and that would be after the date of administration.

As an example. When Rangers went into administration they owed Strathclyde Police around Ł50,000. That is not going to be paid. Since going into administration Rangers have played Kilmarnock at home and because this is after the date of administration, Rangers have to pay the Police the Ł17,000 bill for policing this game.

If you are going to criticise a posting at least check your facts first. By your logic, Rangers could keep incurring expenses between now and the end of the season and not have to pay them. Just think how ridiculous your post is.

The administrators must by law pay all bills after the date of administration. If they are unable to do so, this means that the club is trading insolvently, and the administrators have a legal duty to place the club into liquidation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice to see some rangers fans no what they are talking about some people just post so much crap

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the attitude of the average Rangers fans, F##k what we owe, make other suffer..... its no wonder that most people don't give a monkey's if they survive or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not wrong as you choose to state. In administration any company does not have to honour contractual obligations made prior to the administrators being brought in to oversea operations. It would however have to pay for any goods or services ordered after administrators have taken control. I will give examples to help you understand
1. Rangers will not honour the instalments for Jellavic.
2. Rangers will not honour instalments for Lee Wallace.
3. Rangers can make staff redundant even though they have contracts of employment.

This is due to the fact these agreements were PRIOR to administration.

Rangers administrators do have to pay for

1. Strathclyde policing bill for games after administrators take over.

2. Wages for all staff who are retained.

3. Any other service or asset purchased or utilised after administration.

Agree0 Disagree0

Laffery is s**te anyway,

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok i'll ask presumably the original poster has evidence that he can show or is it just a case of anonymous internet posting so you can write any old rubbish never having to back it up

Agree0 Disagree0

As a Rangers fan and season ticket holder it gives me no pleasure to be discussing the facts surrounding administration and merely made my comment as i did not find it beneficial for the original poster to be indicating McCoist and Lafferty were lying about his ability to play football at this time. Firstly I'm sure after all the lies that have been spoken in recent times McCoist would not risk his own reputation by not telling the truth if the clause was the problem. As for my facts relating to administration, I deal with the legalities of administration in my employment.

Hmrc have stated that they are going to purse what they see as tax under payments no matter how the case of Glasgow rangers finishes. Under payments are not soley concerning these off shore tax free loans, also they are look at the uses of so called media rights in personal contracts, come to mind David Beckham , ronaldo, and guess who one henrick larsson oh this could be rich

Believable19 Unbelievable23

Where have they stated this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look doesnt matter who you are
if you owe tax pay it if you owe suppliers pay them
i have to pay mine henrik or no henrik
if ceik dae the same as murray /whyte then hell mend them yir joost fitba teams
whats yir point

Agree0 Disagree0

Why lie do you just make sh!t up to take your mind off your clubs misfortunes. Fool!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I read it too. It's on the same page that had Richard Branson buying Gers.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is true the tax man has a bee in there bonnet about sportmen cleanin up there a load of pension schemes that are tax loopholes that apparently 80% of clubs use wayne rooney one of the biggest names on the list think i read it on the 365 football website while ago no sure tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard luck mate, larsons big contract extension had image rights signed away hence the 35k per week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh no larson got unfair tax benefits for image rights, that just might push Celtic into administration and almost certin liquidation.
Worry about your own real issues instead of a couple hundred grand that larson might have unjustifiably saved while at celtic

Agree0 Disagree0

Clutching at straws person . Henke didn't have image rights, he had big salary and guess what? Paid his taxes,

Ska bhoy( paid his taxes)

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop trying to drag the king of kings into your murky world of tax dodging.
Interesting how you put him in the same sentence as becks and ronaldo. You are right to do this of course as he was, and actually is, world class.
I would think your club has enough happening to keep you busy. Well at least until it is liquidated.

Rangers players to loose their CARs
all paid for by the club...

Believable44 Unbelievable25

Losing cars that were provided by Audi as part of the sponsorship.

Why exactly would they lose them? Has the sponsorship finished or are you talking rubbish?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares if they have lost there cars. They make enough money to buuy there own.

Dave

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish i could get a car for free anyone ever heard of a team bus ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame loosing their cars, get rid of a few of the chancers that should never have been allowed to pull a Rangers jersey over their heads let alone play for us,,2 or 3 of these useless sods would save the jobs of about 20 cleaners or cooks

Agree0 Disagree0

I,ve got a skateboard i could rent them, but they,d need to buy their own kneepads.they have enough helmets though.artybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

What the cars that r owned by Glasgow Audi some people just make up any old crap

Agree0 Disagree0

All rangers players are entitled to a car when they play for the first team however one glance at the team car park on match day will show just how few cars are ever taken. it has long been a annoyance to see bentleys ferraris and range rovers belonging to average players playing in a below average league. I can't believe fans were worried players would not be paid this month. Lafferty is on 25k a week!! not bad for sick pay

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of tosh, most of the players have their own private cars blinged up.... nice try timothy

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense.players are taxed for company cars as is anybody.these cars are part of sponsorship deals so dont cost anything

Agree0 Disagree0

They should buy their own cars.s**t players driving about In bentleys

bad news , the admin staff have told staff at ibrox that there will be massive job cuts on monday . the first too go will be support staff at ibrox and murray park , hopefully it will not touch playing staff , staff also told that the reason is the hmrc will be disclosing the result on monday morning ,which by the feeling at meeting will not be good news , how do i know , my partner work s at ibrox

Believable36 Unbelievable18

I love how someones partner always works at Ibrox, no wonder there will be job cuts if every Celtic fan on here trolling has a partner that works for us.

Lunacy

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm, HRMC will be notified at the same time as rangers, it's the judges who decide. If people are informed on Monday it will be due to existing HRMC problems and not the big tax case. Feel sorry for anyone who does get released, not their fault.

Agree0 Disagree0

So we will see this in the papers tomorrow no doubt? is your partners name called Timmy by any chance?
G

Agree0 Disagree0

The big tax case result isn't coming from hmrc it's from an independent tribunal so there goes your theory

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye whats his name lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame if anyone to loss their job

Agree0 Disagree0

Is ur partner Craig Whyte ya fud

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny how mccoist was jst on sky sports news saying they don't know when people will lose their jobs and the administrators will let him know as soon as they can

Liar!!

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesn't matter who's partner.... It's a bad day when someone loses their job...

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone put that gers wont win the title for 10 yrs but to me the biggest concern is the future of the club id rather have rangers carrying on. as trophies dont matter as much now 2nd 3rd i will still love rangers 14oyrs of history is more important than trophies

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of b....cks! Lies lies lies. And that is a FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

People just letting you know , it is up too us fans too keep each other up tpp speed , because sometimes we will know before the media , and we are only being fed info in dribs and dabs , and bye the way im no timmy just a guy whos girlfriend is loosing her job , so the above remarks do not help

Agree0 Disagree0

Love how u say ur partner works at ibrox but only seem concerned. If the job cuts affect the players. And I highly ddoubt ur partner is a player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Going by the way your playing at the moment i thought you would be wanting players out the door and to keep the cleaners etc. ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Two or three players wages would save the staff that got to be more important now until we gt sorted those guys n girls hav got families the few players wd find another club easy this seasons a right off anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Your partner is fullof craig whyte

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been in the redundancy situation 3 times in my working life (survived two) and NOBODY knows in advance if they are going. Your 'partner' if he/she exists, most definitely won't know. At this stage only the administrators MAY have an idea of who's going and the ethics of their profession will not allow them to broadcast in advance lest they lose their jobs!

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC are not disclosing the result. There are three High Court judges who are reviewing both sides submissions who will, tell both parties the outcome at the same time. More lies Timmy!

Agree0 Disagree0

This is too early to call the admin folks will be drawing up a list of high earners first then work through a list of possible people to make redundant adhoc staff really terrible when people could lose their jobs i would feel the same if it was celtic hearts hibs or any other scottish club being made redundant is a terrible expeirence wouldnt wish it on anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to clear something up once and for all, no one will ever know or get a tip off as to the result of the tax case. this includes directors of rangers and your wee pal who works in the rangers shop. it is a court ruling NOT HMRC. Journalists are only speculating to sell newspapers, if any leaks were disclosed it would result in contempt of court against a JUDGE for gods sake. what the judges want is all arguments settled by this case so that they can refuse the right to appeal to both parties unless new information comes to light. as it appears Rangers have been ran in a very bad way for years there is sure to be a lot of submitted evidence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep the cuts are coming

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Feb 2012 16:32:53
Rangers administrators have not asked Ally McCoist to cut squad
Rangers manager Ally McCoist has not been asked to select players for redundancy by the club's administrators, Duff and Phelps.

And the Ibrox boss says there have been no discussions yet on a timetable for job losses, though two club officials have been made redundant so far .

"Rangers are a big family and I'm sorry to see anyone lose their job," said McCoist of Gordon Smith and Ali Russell's imminent departure.

"Both were very supportive to me."

The Rangers manager said he is still positive about the club's future and is encouraged by the prospect of supporter involvement in one possible takeover bid, that being mooted by former director Paul Murray.

McCoist, in his first season in charge of team affairs since taking over from Walter Smith last summer, told reporters at Murray Park that he has asked the administrators what has happened to Rangers' cash and that he felt they did their best to provide him with answers.

Believable13 Unbelievable17

24 Feb 2012 16:19:47
Just my looking at statements over the last few days 1/ Ally starting to distance himself from whyte, ex board members coming to the front, admin coming out with positive comments about future for Rangers ie telling the fans every game WILL be played which means everyone paid on time players police and rangers employees.Top broadsheet economic commentaters now opening saying Rangers big tax case very winable,so signs positive and building up to a conclusion hopefully next week. Only time will tell but quietly optimistic about next season ,all debt fully paid off, new players brought in from investment from big money backers, but most important a board consisting of 51% fan based so this cannot happen again .before the great unwashed start slagging don't bother not interested in your bitter twisted comments. You keep as a present from us your devalued league and the cups you will probably win this year. Just remember they will be coming back where they belong next year ,we don't do walking away ,we stick it out

Believable35 Unbelievable39

Well said mate. The fans need to step up and pay for their club to survive. Im sick of hearing the celtic fans saying that they bailed their club out and we dont, time to prove we are the most loyal dedicated fans in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't have put it better myself WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

The only thing thats devalued is your team and your clubs reputation...again. Stop deluding yourselves ffs!
Bhrydo bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Good positive comments. As you say even the vibes about the tax case are sounding better. Just remember the comments of Lennon and the Celtic chairman Gers fans-these should make us resolute to continue the battle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Devalued league? Mate your team are possibly on the brink of oblivion and you are throwing around statements like that. Get some class.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big money backers, investments, new players....lets deal with the issues at hand, this is not going to be a quick fix and when it is all over, there will be no more big spending - the days of sugar daddy's are finished.

Agree0 Disagree0

Devalued league, what about the european cup,you tried to buy it.hence the trouble you are in now, take it on the chin like a big bhoy, dont be offended, ywtp.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you celtic fans not think its been because of gers misfortunes off field that has affected a team who never lost a game in 13 spl games i think and a never even lost a goal either. Its clear to see that the players are suffering from the thought of losing there jobs and nothing might not be abled to stop that. A fully concentrated old firm side would never lose 29 points in 4months . Live up people celtic have in my eyes have been handed everything on a plate. Uefa Place, old firm victory, treble due to the rangers situation. Enjoy bhoys we will be back. not to mention its was mentioned here first uefa are not planning to punish celtic either.

Agree0 Disagree0

A very nice piece brother and one that has got up the noses of the dark side i see...lol so well done. And yes you are right...it is a DE-VALUED league so let THEM enjoy it for a while as they have not seen it for a few years even though they "had better players" and "played better football". The only way THEY can get their hands on it is if it's given to them on a plate. Lets all congratulate the manky mob on a job well done....WATP...always.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person staring big money backers, please read post I said a majority shareholder of fans as Hamburg setup, money would be minority so fans can safe guard the club, works in Germany why not here. I thought I made it obvious that the sugar daddy days are over

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, its clowns like you that give Rangers fans a bad name. I was reading the post thinking fair comment ,then I got to the point where you could not contain your bile. Devalued what you where 10 points behind and out of the cups before you went into admin. No basis in fact so perhaps you will get a job at the daily rager like that other clown hately. How a paper could print his rant is beyond me

Agree0 Disagree0

Devalued league ! What a bitter and twisted bear what about all the leagues you have won by theiving from Her Majesty, I cannot wait to see Neil Lennon grinning ear to ear with our title above his head. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

What has the fact the Celtic have the chance of winning the treble have to do with the trouble you are in. You were out both cups ages before anything came to light

Agree0 Disagree0

Many times do we have to say it , yous winning the league means nothing to us , we are hurtin coz we are in a bit of bother but hopefully we will be ok ,but if it makes yous all feel better ,the titles not devalued and yous have played football like barca and charlie mulgrews got the best leftfoot in britain , oh and scot brown looks like a horse , tedbear

Agree0 Disagree0

If the Septic fans don't believe that this league campaign is indeed de-valued, then they are even more disillusioned than I thought. Let them have this one and when they try to throw it in our faces, let them know that it IS devalued. As you can see by some of the comments, it is clearly upsetting Timmy and I think de-valued should be used more often to upset as many of the great un-washed as possible. Glasgow Septic - Scottish De-Valued and worthless Premier League Champions 2011-12. WATP (G)

Agree0 Disagree0

It was hardly thieving when it was legal while we used ebt's ya Muppet. The illegal part refers to these apparent letters telling players they didn't have to repay their withdrawals from ebt. To date these letters have yet to surface(to the best of my knowledge), so unless its just me we have done nothing wrong as these ebt's were LEGAL!!!!

Innocent until proven guilty

For the record thousands of UK companys used ebt's until the loophole was closed inc the NHS ffs, so even a government run org used them but I forgot that because were RANGERS FC its makes us all scum with no morals.

Like everyone says Celtic were at it years ago with the apparent really low gates when your stadium was full LMAO

Leeroy85

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I would think that Leeroy has just put Timmy well and truly in their places (wherever that may be...lol) Well said Leeroy.
Thats not to DE-VALUE anything that they have to say mind you....lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny that the league wasnt devalued when you were 15 points clear. now out of 4 cups and the league gone its a mickey mouse competition this year. Well as a happy hoop i hope that its devalued for the next five years when you work your way through the leagues and we rack up title after title.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets look at this with a clear head. A player is touted to both Rangers and Celtic. Celtic offer say 10k and Rangers say "for every Ł5 etc" so it is not rocket science the team he will pick. However Rangers use the EBT and therefore pay 10k as wages and the other 10k is a "loan" through the EBT but in reality it is wages and PAYE etc should have been paid on the further 10k. EBT is not illegal but when it is used to manipulate what should be subject to PAYE it is. It was not a level playing field, there lies the tainted titles. I know it hurts but there is no positive spin, sorry

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh! oh!...the old 15 points clear raises its head again. But I won't insult your intelligence (if any) by going down that road again....lol
You are right, the league was a proper competition then and so were the cups and yes we did lose a 9 POINT (actual) lead. But.....the league has been handed to you on a plate (through no fault of your own i hasten to add). Had we still been up and running as normal, we would still have been in with a good chance ( you can't say otherwise) and whoever won the league would have done so on their own merit. As it stands, that is not the case so therefore the league HAS been DE-VALUED and has NOT been won on merit. Enjoy your de-valued league win....well deserved. lol Only 5 years with the state we are in? Hey, i'd be happy with that ha ha. WATP (G)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry i must have lapsed into French with my post about the misuse of EBT, say what you like but the facts speak for themselves. Devalued, oops we are in reality 10 points ahead or haven't you noticed. Head out of sand please and relax by playing some party games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fao: Bhoys, This title is kind of devalued guys. Look at it this way. 15 pts behind gers flying high. They lose a big player one man disnae make a team . Rangers have lost form and heart for 4 months . That is because something been mentioned in the gers behind scenes. The players knew this long before xmas. Thats why its kknd of devalued although its a well done to the tic flr there resilence for there streak. But i title win is a win and this will be marked in history as a kind of devalued as gers 10 pt deduction there 3 pts lost . It will all come down to the final pts at end of season if celtic are 9 pts clear then its devalued as rangers could have won it by 1 pt.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to laugh how bitter some rangers fans on here are.celtic have won the league at a canter after a slow start, fact the gap was 15 points not 9.ok celtic had 2 games in hand but the gap was 15.anyway it wont be de-valued in the east end of glasgow when the biggest party to hit ibroke on the 25th of march hits town.plenty of dough 1 in a row.

Agree0 Disagree0

The league title is all but over forget about the 10points deducted we were 15 points clear in november and a run of points dropped we only have ourselves to blame footballs a funny game think we counted on to marching on to 4 in a row anything can in football lets learn from our mistakes

Agree0 Disagree0

We dropped the points because of the carry on upstairs and unsettled the players

Agree0 Disagree0

The carry on upstairs come on they are football players leave all that to the guys in suits to worry about they wear the blue shirts so they know the standards set at the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Devalued league come on fellow bears the big picture here say we went into admin on late april and were miles ahead in points and lost 10 points but still won the spl title we wud grab the title with glee and rub it in a spl title is a title no matter what

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with bear if we won the title we would have took it we cant run down the spl the league needs all the good publicity it can get just now to attract fans and sponsors

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the day we have not been good enough ok we have had a few players out just a poor 2nd half of the season disapointed sure we will bounce back

Agree0 Disagree0

Im making no excuses we have just not been good enough this season dont know if its allys tacticts or what his first season in charge the league is finished what i will do is give celtic credit on their run but we will be back

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair the season last year was close this years campaign has been a nightmare we dont do excuses be back stronger and wiser

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to thank Glasgow Rangers for handing us this devalued league, I would happily accept a devalued title every year, particulary if we get the fun of see you guys and gals crying and moaning about the arsesssss who have thankfully destroyed you club. Just a pre-decision warning.... when you lose the tax case, the real fun starts......

Agree0 Disagree0

The only devalued tropthies are the ones rangers bought over many years while knowingly stealing tax payers money.
They have destroyed scottish football, most clubs are in mountains of debt with getting stuck on the merry go round murray created with other spl clubs paying over the odds for average foriegn players to try to be seen to compete with murray.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not bitter one iota....only stating the fact that league WASN'T or WONT be won on merit. Fact!! OK? Seems like this DE-VALUED word is getting up the noses of TImmy with the reactions we are seeing here from some of you. You guys are so easily wound up....lol Sit back, relax and enjoy your de-valued league win and very well done :)
Just thought I would keep this going...ha ha.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahhh! A sensible Timmy for a change, admitting that it IS a de-valued league. So glad that you are happy to accept this from us in this manner as you have been DESPERATE over the last few years to get your hands on it but failing miserably at the last hurdle. (happy days). Once we win the Big Tax case and we have a 'trusted" new owner, the we can get back to what we do best....and thats winning the league ....legitimatley.
Gone fishing!! :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahhh A sensible Timmy.... What then happens if you don't win the tax case..... Will that mean that every title we win the the future will be devalued. You lot are just jealous that we are not being shafted by our management team, both at board and team level. Here's to the treble, or were your lot not actually interested in the devalued cups.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it not plain and simple that if Celtic win the league by more than 10 points then this de-valued pi*h is just garbage, as a Celtic fan I cant lie to myself that if gers lost by less than a 10 point deficit that you would be well due your braging rights but cummon lads have a bit of dignity and enough of this "If we cant win it its pi*h" One thing I can gaurentee it our celabrations will only be de-valued if the gap goes below 10 otherwise say what you will but watch out for Motherwell!

Agree0 Disagree0

To fellow rangers fans we have worrying times ahead never mind about the spl title its gone we giving timmy the excuses here with all this devalued league rubbish lets get behind the team for the meantime rfc dont do excuses we have just not played good football this season

Agree0 Disagree0

A reminder to all bears i dont go in for this devalued league rubbish we cant run down the spl its not the other teams fault the position we are in remember we are still in the spl so be carefull what you say if we were top of the spl just now we wouldnt have these daft comments its just making us look bad

Agree0 Disagree0

For gods sake lighten up no ones running the spl down just giving a bit of banter to celtic fans folks lighting up a bit a bit of humour is needed just now

Agree0 Disagree0

You need to get a life mate get your own house in order before you startworrying about us

Agree0 Disagree0

Now that the side letters have been exposed in The Sun then all those players of the last decade will be improprly registered. This means automatically losing all the titles won then and losing the big tax case. Liquidation a certainty

Agree0 Disagree0

Devalued League: You dopes are so gutted than you threw away a 15 point lead that now the league is devalued and tainted - grow up...

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have no one to blame but themselves, All this " we dont do walking away" trash is such a joke, whats the insinuation there?? I always though David Murray was funding all you star players - how wrong was I.. Your team is a disgrace but i always new that

Reading that Paul Murray has met with the administrators this morning. He has been reported as having a consortium ready with a takeover bid. How much would any bid from any possible takeover be before the monies owed for any tax bill be ? Ed, any ideas ? AGer63 {Ed001's Note - it would probably be minimal, but the cost of a buyout would include taking on any debts. So, in reality, it would be a large amount of money!}

Believable12 Unbelievable17

Paul Murray cannot take over the club, neither can Dave King or any other Directors/Ex Directors due to the club suffering an insolvency event. The 5 year rule applies.
Also, there is a South African court order preventing Dave King from having business dealings in South Africa and the UK and also prevents anyone from conducting business on his behalf.
There will be NO takeover pre-liquidation. Accept it and move forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Feb 2012 13:07:15
We will not be hammered for the full amount in the 'Big Tax case'. The only person that has said we are likely to be hit for the full £75m was Whyte. The reason he said this was to give him more grounds for putting the club into adminstration. EBT's only became illeagal in Janaury this year. When Rangers used these, they were totally legal, although possibly seen as slightly immoral. Morality doesn't have much place in Court though, they will look at the legal side only. HMRC are unwilling to settle out of court as they want to investigate the full extent of the problem. Try reading what the experts say in the Guardian, Financial Times etc rather than reading the usually c*ap written in the Daily Rag and The Scum. Overdose 15

Believable15 Unbelievable31

Part of the EBTs was that a portion was described as a repayable loan. Some a*se at Rangers wrote in the contracts that it was NOT repayable. If he had left well alone they would probably have been no problem!

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't talk crap ya diddy. EBT's ARE LEGAL. It is the manner in which Rangers used them that has caused this situation.
They cannot be used for contractual obligations, ie players wages.

The tax case is lost and Rangers will be hit with a substantial bill which will ultimately end up with the club being liquidated.
Also, you can expect that certain aspects of what's coming out of Ibrox will end up in the courts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said

Agree0 Disagree0

EBTs aren't illegal - correct. However their misuse to avoid tax on contractual payments is...hence the great lengths HMRC are going to to seek a judgement on the issue.

Agree0 Disagree0

EBTs were indeed legal, that is not the issue. The issue is whether Rangers operated them in the correct manner or not. If Rangers are found not to have eoperated them correctly, then they are in the sh1t.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the second poster;
The players benefitting from these EBT's needed assurance that they would never have to pay the 'loan' back so had it written into a side letter. HMRC would still come looking for that unpaid tax but without a side letter Rangers players would have been liable not the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

You obviously read the daily rag and the scum yourself my friend.

Agree0 Disagree0

EBT`s were legal, however they are now illegal. The issue of the proper use of them in the past will be down to opinion and interpretation of the legal framework, you dont usually read this in the tabloids as the readership probably has difficulty understanding complex issues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Show you support for rangers at
www.wedontdowalkingaway.org

Agree0 Disagree0

Ebt,s were legal until HMRC tried to close the loophole in 2010,the difference is tax evasion which is illegal and tax avoidance where tax consultants are always one step ahead of HMRC.The 2011 finance bill which would have assisted HMRC with tax loopholes was immediately hit with over 50 amendments, this was followed up with a further 80 odd amendments. The only reason Rangers can lose tax case is as some experts believe they have not operated the EBT system correctly.Tax boutiques are ready and waiting for new tax rules, they simply tailor their clients needs so the minimum liability is paid, not illegal just commonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

EBT's are NOT illegal. There has been NO change in legislation that could make them illegal & HMRC have to abide by the law just as much as anyone. We run a scheme at my work in relation to VAT that is perfectly legal that HMRC don't like & complain vehemently about, but cant do anything as its perfectly legal. EBT's are similar. HMRC don't like them, but tough! The law cant be broken or twisted by them just to suit their agenda.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we win the big tax case no problem
If we lose it, we'll get a huge discount on it. Because thats still better than liquidation to the HMRC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually you've all got parts of that right. if the ed would like to check my IP (if possible) EBT's are not and have not been illegal. there was a loop that has been exploited. this loops came to light in 2008/09 during the goldman sachs case wher hmrc were chasing billions, then more high profile vodaphone. both times judges ruled against hmrc so in 2010 hmrc tried to change the rules. these rules didn't come into effect until 2011, still though not outlawing EBT's. they went agin for goldman sachs but again failed as a judge ruled that although the new rules had been broken, hmrc were chasing in retrospect, which cannot be done.
now hmrc are taking a slightly different tact in trying to prove companies were using ebt's as a deliberate attempt to avoid tax. this is what the procecution case rests on.
i won't pretend to know nor comment on the outcome, but there is a reason hmrc have not won many ebt cases

Agree0 Disagree0

EBT's were being misused by companies to reward employees and avoid operating PAYE. Gov introduced legislation forcing companies to disclose to HMRC any EBT's in use. The issue is not one of legality but misuse. Any company using EBT's to reward employees for doing their job and doing this in a manner that the employee expects a payment from the EBT will be seen to be misusing the EBT to avoid operating PAYE.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't be so stupid. Rangers are going to be liquidated, thats an absolute certainty and RFC will be gone forever. Instead of talking cr@p about fantasy outcomes, start rallying the decent fans on how to form a new club to play at, what will become, a derelict Ibrox. No-one is going to appear with millions to save RFC. The club is finished.

Agree0 Disagree0

EBT's are legal if they are used in the right way, my old work used to pay contractors this way, but they can be used illegally as a tax avoidance scheme, then it becomes illegal as it would be deemed you have cheated the public purse and the case hinges on HMRC proving to the courts that it was used illegally, I'm a Rangers man through and through but it seems as though EBTs have been used at Ibrox as a tax avoidance scheme, hopefully they cant prove it ....... About as ironic as when back in fifties your club was running into problems over the flying of the tricolor, which club do think was the only club to back you then, yes thats right the big bad rangers. if you know your history!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully we just pull the plug so all of you lose your dough and you have nobody to laugh at. Then before too long the SPL will become more rancid than it is already, no cash for sponsorship, tv or anything else because nobody cares and there is no product to sell. Then there is the cash spinning champions league that celtic would have to play 3 qualifying matches to enter... A hurdle they would fail to jump consistantly, and so would any other team like motherwell, hearts etc who cannot even do anything of note in the europa league. So where would the co-efficients go? They would go through the floor, and in time, scotland would probably have one europa league slot if your lucky. As the cash dissapears, the quality (what little there is) will follow, then the support will drift. Things will get gradually worse until teams slowly start dropping like flies, administration, liquidation, part-time etc. But in the mean time enjoy your ice cream and jelly. When the SPL is dying without its most decorated club, i'll sit back with a smile and enjoy mine.

Where exactly is the better news then? Whyte being booted out and no longer the preferred creditor? Good news how? Would HMRC then become preferred creditor, the same HMRC that forced Rangers into administration?
Bottom line is that there is no money with or without Craig Whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte has,so far,not done anything illegal.this is what this guy does,he knows how to ride the law right to the limits.remember he OWNS rangers so transfering monies is not illegal.admin and liquidation has always been his goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you honestly think SDM wants Rangers back.
Also after the fiasco with Mr Whyte do you honestly think the SFA will see Mr King as a fit person

Agree0 Disagree0

If Murrey recinds the deal then he becomes liable for the Big tax case, He won't want that. Infact you might find that he's aready think about who's going to help in the showers at the big house.

David

Agree0 Disagree0

Glasgow rangers WILL play the rest of the games this season .

Agree0 Disagree0

Well it doesnt matter whos in charge wi the big tax case if we lose then were closed simple as that . start again !! thats the choices that bill is unpayable . good news wd b a line drawn in the sand bcos this as it stands is torture

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr king put 20 mil in few years ago thats more than alot of ppl hav done hes a rangers man n as far as sfa go their a bunch of clowns

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah theyve just agreed a deal with police bad day wen we cant pay security up front have to make deals

Agree0 Disagree0

Dave King good choice to run Rangers that's of course will be after he has dealt with the 380 odd outstanding cases of Tax Evasion, Fraud etc etc in South Africa and of course he will pass the SPL's Rules of being fit and proper.....Ah don't think so

Agree0 Disagree0

And murray did run the club in a fit and proper manner? dont think so he used it as a rich mans toy and then when he knew it was gonna cost him real big money he couldnt wait to get rid. hope he gets investigated, convicted and stripped of the knighthood he doesnt deserve

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont want to b seen as defender of murray bt this tax case is a joke that aside he pumped in over a hundred million n had a fo at europe then sold the club to a con artist the guy made few
mistakes bt heart in the right place

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray paid money for rangers and had no clause to run it in a fit propper way when he did so! conditions of sale have been broken by whyte-will murray throw back in less than a year after taking his hat out? does he care anymore?
stg

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone forgets mr murray put in millions to the club ok he sold think a lot of trust went into that it will come out in time

AEG Confirm interest in taking over financially stricken scottish giants Rangers FC, such a move would need to be approved by the FSA in relation to a third party owning a PLC company such as rangers.

just read on the Telegraph website that" It is Who is Whyte? Companies House records have him as White as well as Whyte and with two birthdays, two years’ apart.

Where is he? Last night none of his four PR spokesmen or administrators had heard from him since Tuesday." The scottish Sun also said "whyte's worries continued to mount when questions were raised over his purchase of the club which could see the deal invalidated and potentially even see him face prosecution under company law. Legal sources fear Whyte's admission that he used a £24million deal with the firm Ticketus — where he mortgaged future Ibrox season tickets — to help snap up the club could breach the Companies Act."

He used the money to pay off the club's £18million Lloyds bank debt.

The act prohibits a public company and its directors from giving financial assistance in connection with the purchase of its own shares.

And the legal source said: "The deal with Ticketus could be seen as a cash assist in his takeover.

"It is a criminal offence under the Companies Act to breach the financial assistance provisions.

"It carries a potential penalty of imprisonment for any directors who take part in such a deal."

Agree0 Disagree0

Last I heard he was in Costa Rica hiding.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop clutching at this straw.whyte put his OWN MONEY into a lawyers client account to satisfy the due dilligence check.he then sold the season tickets to pay lloyds the money they were due, leaving his due dilligence money untouched.this guy was to clever for murray and the FSA will find no wrong doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Financial Assistance....now we are getting close heart of the matter...and BTW it won't just be Whyte in the frame. Relates to previous directors as well....

{{{ THE GHOST }}} When why I knew fact not allegedly CRAIG WHITE note spelling.Sorry CRAIG WHYTE, that before even buying rangers he was bad news.I can confirm the day before he fled to monoco,to escape the clutches HMRC 11 years ago, certain houses were raided by hmrc because of his dealings.? Do you think for one minute that wee B-----d was thinking of the privacy of one and other. No not a chance, once again his only thoughts were money. Now it has been reported @ printed,it is remarkable that. Ł600.000 was transfered from VITAL.UK when busted to yet another company owned by the wee B------d in monoco so called shares to anonnamous people.A judge has reported as saying he [TOLD UNTRUTHES} at his other case with one stop roofing, the wee man also lost that and allegedly still owes ESTIMATEDŁ100.000.There is plenty more known by the GHOST from the past, putting all dealings together read in several papers, why why did this CRAIG WHYTE ever get past the vetting stages,by banks or any other finance checks.I hope he THE WEE MAN gets jailed over all his bad dealings with rangers football club. There is no way of escape this time round. He is tackling the big boys. and lets not forget this. Will be interested in any REPLIES TO THE ABOVE.Signed of THE GHOST.

Ive heard that HMRC are about to drop all tax cases against the club.

Believable33 Unbelievable88

And I heard the moon was made of cheese. hMRC have not come this far, spent shed loads of money to 'drop it', which is not in the taxpayers interest. This post is a complete farce, with, as usual in these cases, no source!

Agree0 Disagree0

I just heard that celtic have refused the ten points deducted by the SPL. Go on dream on...... More chance of me winning the jackpot on tonights euro lottery.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you been drinking?

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard santa is real , doesnt mean its true.... craig+babybear, please stop posting absolute craig whyte

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes off course they'll drop all the claims and catrina shearer and susanna reid will be round to cuddle into you tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes of course the tax man is going 2 let it go all u rangers fans need 2 wake up u might just survive this case but when big one comes in that will be it the only way rangers will survive will be 2 shut and restart as a newco which will mean 3rd div and no history

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you nmiss heard infact what was said HMRC will NOTdrop all tax issues with us

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the big one, but the others are money definately owed to HMRC and they will expect it paid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye right, dream on!

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC dont spend any money you clown its there job to investigate if they think they are entitled to money, its not about Rangers its about Her Majestys Revenue and wether not money is owed, If Rangers are in the correct and they know they have done nothing wrong, we have nothing to fear as a club, only one man can answer this question and that is Sir David Murray, and he said he thinks we will win the case, so at the moment with the facts we have its in Rangers favour, but if HMRC think there may even be a sniff that they are owed up to 75 million there obv gonna pursue it.

I need to ask about the original post though, do you have a source or are you just writing it for the sake of it because it makes you feel better sitting in work (been there lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

Head out sand please ....col

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye and Santa Clause is coming in September this year, as He has a Wedding tae go tae in December.
B13

Agree0 Disagree0

Were did u hear this

Agree0 Disagree0

Total bull m8 no wat hmrc going tae kiss goodbye to a possible Ł90 million wind fall.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh goodie, in the next chapter hansel and gretel follow chocolate buttons all the way to the big house

Agree0 Disagree0

Now that is a great result Rangers winning the tax case and Catrina Shearer and Susannah Reid coming round for a cuddle thats as good as winning the euro millions lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Well they spent Ł8m on a case against Harry redknapp chasing the tax due on a payment of Ł200k and lost, so Its not that unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

The main problem aint the big tax case which is beatable what isnt beatable is Whyte not paying HMRC for the last nine months which im afraid is going to sink our Glorious Club as its alot more straight forward to prove he owes but hasnt paid alot easier to enforce than our big tax case believe me!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant reveal my sources but suffice to say I'll accept apologies from all the doubters once I've been proved correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC are only interested in winning the case not the money, they require a legal precedent to enable them to close a 2 billion pound loophole in out tax system.
They will accept any CVA return if it exceeds the liquidated value of RFC and its assets.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think RFC will lose the BTC but not go into liquidation.

RFC is obviously worth more as a going concern than its break down asset value.
HMRC are legally bound to take the highest offer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmrc dont do deals cva is next step get real everyone
