Norwich are locked in a battle with Rangers and Saint-Etienne to sign Lokomotiv Moscow striker Dmitri Sychev.

Sychev, 27, is rated one of the best forwards in Russia and has been attracting interest from a number of European clubs.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert is keen to strengthen his squad in January and has been strongly linked with a move for the Russian international.

But he will have to act fast if he wants to sign the prolific forward as reports in Russia suggest that both Glasgow Rangers and Saint-Etienne are also making strong moves to sign him.

Anybody heard anything about this?? From TalkSport btw

Believable23 Unbelievable23

Never heard it mentioned at all, more likely just mince.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have not heard anything mate if it turns out to be true we will hear about it propabley later in the day

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

This guys not a patch on naysmith and he doesnt travel either was a flop at marseille so i dont wont another ortiz....id much rather have a murray park boy or someone already in the scottish game

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammiarse? lol. Tic would have to pay someone £1.5m to take him away.

Gerry The Ger

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is actually quite funny the posts on here from smeltic fans, they are slagging the fact we are in financial chaos, yet we are still pumpin them in the league says more about them than it does us, they cant handle the fact their team is actually rotten if they have to play more than a game a week they drop points cos they are not good enough to deal with the old firm pressure, thats why we're champions and will be again for the fourth time running, thats all i have to say about that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Herd it on talk sport to mate .its nice to be linked with some one decent for a change .G.Ryd .

Agree0 Disagree0

I hnk compareing his time with marseille and how he mite be with us is a little harsh considering the french league is considerabley better than ours.i hnk he wid b a gd buy depending on the price.

Agree0 Disagree0

See when celik turn it aroon and go top how funny is it gone to be. ha ha ha!"!

Agree0 Disagree0

Last post there... see when?? lol no gonna hippen timmy sit doon :D

McGinn!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have aparently regesterd rangers united at company house today. just anounced real radio. worrying times ahead? Got a teally bad felling about mr Whyte. wot use heard?

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want to WORRY about something, which you can not influence..............carry on. FFS, what will be will be, if you like worrying at least wait until verdict out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank god someone speaks sense just enjoy the results we are having at the moment, then if it all comes out and we are well and truley screwed by all means worry at least then there is something to worry about, now dont get me wrong i am a bit p****d with the whole thing but am not worrting until there is something to worry about.

Craig Whyte will start moving players out in January in order to reduce the wage bill. Players he's looking to get off the books include:

1. Healy
2. McCulloch
3. Kerkar
4. Broadfoot
5. Weir
6. Papac (If a fee can be made)
7. Fleck (Loaned out)

Believable54 Unbelievable25

Well you couldnt blame him but Papac you would hope he could stay and get a new contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

God the way we are shipping in Goals i would snap your hand of fur Davie Wier Would be perfect foil for Mulgrew.

16keano

Agree0 Disagree0

Well you couldnt blame him but Papac you would hope he could stay and get a new contract.
I would love Papac to stay, great player.
Wizard

Agree0 Disagree0

Sasa Papac is the most underrated reliable and just all round great player whos played with Rangers from what I remember. I respect him so much for his contribution to the club a true unsung hero who is actually a great player rather than a average consistent player. I'd like to see him playing with us another couple of years.

Agree0 Disagree0

To OP:

A think we should get rid of healy, mc'culloch and weir should stay - they deserve our loyalty, kerkar av no seen play so can't comment, flecks too big-headed a think - should have improved much more than he has, papac should stay, broadfoot should go :L

Agree0 Disagree0

Papac is a great player the only one standing from the poul Le guen era

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt mind these leavin as long as we kept cover for injuries but not papac as he is still a quality player and i havnt seen kerkar play

Agree0 Disagree0

Healy to leeds or preston

Agree0 Disagree0

Im always dubious when something like this pops up from nowhere and it seems to me that when the times come for all the players to move on where ever they go it will happen as and when they or rangers decide to do it..why bother with this kind of speculation its very non productive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fleck should go now with a good sell on deal, just not done it

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree healy,weir, kerkar,
loan for fleck,
do not forget jelly 8 mill wil see him being
sold. mcleish back for davis 4.5 mill
will also see him being sold, big eck would liker a double deal that involves naisy, gers get 7mill plus cuellar.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you're more or less correct with the exception of Weir and Papac.

Agree0 Disagree0

No you cant get rid of big Sasa he is so underrated, i have alot of respect for him no frills, however you very rarely see papac gettin ripped and if he does he normally recovers, Mr reliable 90- 95% of the time. Fleck on the other hand can leave whenever he likes got absolutely no time for him, has not done enough and you can only be a young prospect for so long before you have to make the step up, he is not good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get rid of these players then that would probably get about 1million a year off the wage bill. I would keep Sasa Papac till at least the end of the season, the guy is brilliant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sasa wont go as he will retire at the end of the season due to his head problems

Agree0 Disagree0

Hnk people should get off flecks back.Look what we did to Charlie Adam we gave him a hard time as a youngster and once he left he flourished. Give him a loan deal and let him prove himself.the others can all leave apart from weir should be offered a coaching role and papac should get a years xtension

Agree0 Disagree0

Weir wants first team football (he's said that numerous times) and he's not going to get it at Rangers. Goian and Bocanegra are doing very well and Rangers have Perry and Bartley who can provide cover.

Also, Sasa Papac's contract runs out next summer so unless he's sold in January he'll walk for free. Wallace has been brought in as Papac's replacement. IF money is put on the table then Papac will leave in January, if not, he'll see out the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Papac can leave for nothing he only signed 1 year deal its all utter bull

Agree0 Disagree0

Whites cutting your wage bill by 10 million.

10 players on 20,000 pw = 10.4 million per year give or take.

7 players on 25k a week = 9 million give or take.

Proberly looking about 5-7 players going if he's cutting it by 10 million ?

Wonder what man city's wage bill is a year lol.

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers wage bill is around 14-17 million a year so cutting it by 10 million would not be possible to keep the same level of players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I Don't think 10 million is a realistic amount to cut. Craig Whyte is not daft. Think your dreaming again Lenny!. lol. I would say 2-3million cut from the yearly wage bill.

Lenny what u think Celtic's wage bill is considering you have about 30 journeymen on ur books??. u gotta laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

Was thinking that when I wrote that post celtics wage bill must be through the roof ! And I'll be honest... We have nothing to show for it ?

Cutting it by 10 mill is whites words not mine, once he said it makes u think he will punt players like hot cakes?

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Do u have a link to the interview to shows he will cut the wage bill by 10 million?. Not that i don't trust you lenny!. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Was on the stv app a while back think a few rangers fans spoke about it, because when u saw it 1st thing a thought was gesso ours must be through the roof lol

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte said he would like to cut the wage bill by cira £7m and he gave no time frame as to when this would be implemented, if at all. If it isimplemented it will be done slowly there will be no firesale.

Whyte commented that the club should be able to turn over a profit each year without having to rely on European Football which is a fair point.

Joe Sise, a big 6'4 striker/winger, getting him in on a trial and seeing how he does will do us no harm atall. Could be doing with extra cover for attack but how much did Jelavic ooze class yesterday when he came on lol, never fails to amaze me.

WATP

Believable38 Unbelievable10

Nah Sise looked woeful on youtube. A big clumsy James Beattie type player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Youtube? lol, don't tell me you do your scouting on youtube? I'm sure Super Ally is best placed to judge a strikers ability/potential. We'll let him do the scouting and if he wins a deal will need to prove he can score goals otherwise he'll be benched so won't go wrong in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also, how much did Lafferty prove how much he NEEDS to improve ? Lafferty's contribution in the last two games indicates just how we badly need quality cover for big jelavic. Rangers 'til die

Agree0 Disagree0

Lafferty really struggled up front on his own. It was back to the old Kyle yesterday but to be fair he has been in cracking form up till now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wont get excited about this one,as with most trialists.we never sign them.well, very rarely.
drumlad

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair laffertys better playing up front in a two not on his own,his best form is when hes playing with a partner as his goals prove at the end of last season and part of this.
rab watp

Agree0 Disagree0

It pain's me to say this but for Once i find myself agreeing with you's that Big Jelavic is a counrty mile ahead of any forward at celtic and at this moment in time He would walk into that Man utd team.
If only we had half as good scouting system as you's maybe we would not be as far behind in League Still only half way through saeson Hope He gets sold in jan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Decent comment by a supporter of the opposition for a change. Good on you.

Agree0 Disagree0

2 the guy who says sise looks woeful on youtube that must be a first some1 showing their bad bits on youtube & I must be watching a different youtube from you
NTYABOW

Agree0 Disagree0

The first post is wrong look at big lafferty he was a 3 mill waste a space as all you said but now he is getting into his game he might not score goals but how many headers does he win in a game and holds the ball up to feed the goal scorers ie naismith jelavic ect ect

Agree0 Disagree0

Well for his height he should very rarely lose out in the air, but he only wins about half the headers he attempts.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont see the point in trying to sign anybody at the moment are we not going into administration

rangers are set to sign giant Swedish hitman Joe sisse the 6ft 4in striker has hit 8 goals in 29 games for halmstad who have just been relegated from the Swedish top division sise who was born in Sweden but holds dual Gambian nationality is a cult hero in his homeland since he can also play as a winger his contract is up and rangers will be able to snap him up now for a compensation fee of around 350.ooo thousand pound the Swedish season ended yesterday he will jet into into training at Murray park this week

halmstad president goan johnnson said rangers have watched him play and there have been discussions he will defenetley be leaving now the Swedish season has ended there was interesting in Joe sisse from danish club nordsjaelland during the season but we couldn't agree a fee his form has been up and down this season but he has had a knee injury however he is fit again now sise said yesterday you have to talk to my agent about any move its good am attracting interest from clubs i will be leaving halmstad and it is important for me to choose the right club

Believable14 Unbelievable14

Story was in yesterday's Sunday Post. All the redtops today reporting he's coming on trial

Agree0 Disagree0

Knee Injury? Not again......

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you's trying and sign the Other Bangura the 1 we were ment to sign. Good god lennon had the option on OConnor and McFadden only to sign that CLOWN. anyways you's dont need anybody else Give us a chance

16keano

Agree0 Disagree0

Although he has his issues i think there will be a few club's in for Garry O'connor. I would like to see him at Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Keano i am liking your post, good that you see the funny side of things and thats a good attitude but we aint out of sight yet we could easily have a couple of bad results and yous could be right back in, i hope not obviously. cheers
