anyone any idea of what is happening with the money in the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund? Last I heard there was £600K in the account.

Believable21 Unbelievable46

As far as I remember it was out of this fund they paid to have the pitch re-turfed Maybe some legal expenses too Dont know how much is left tho

Agree0 Disagree1

Craig Whyte is pursuin it in court

Agree0 Disagree2

Heard its fir the Christmas night out lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Good question, got the expected the replies from the celtic fans (very funny - not), but what is going to happen to this money?

I think it did pay for the pitch to be re-surfaced, and did it not pay Dunfermline for ticket money?

There was fans on the park at Saturday's game handing over cheques to Jardine for the RFFF, I think someone should say what it's for? And where's it going?

Agree0 Disagree1

60k to relay the pitch.I think. Also some creditors paid. All well and good but the original poster is right to ask about the fund, does it still exist and if so,how much is it worth and what is the cash used for. After all,it's our money.

Agree2 Disagree1

Returfing a pitch in Scotland is Ł40k every team knows the cost of that so no one should try and inflate it.
Jardine works for Imran Ahmed as does Green. Ahmed got a pitch out of it. Jardine surely conflicted?

It's not a registered charity nor a limited company which makes it illegal. Also illegally collecting with buckets.

Agree2 Disagree0

Buy shares and get a voice for all bears? CheltBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Sandy spent it in an amusement arcade.

Well said that tinfoil-tax accountant/barrack-room lawyer....away back under the stone you crawled from!!

Agree0 Disagree1

I Agree with the point above, if there is still money left in the pot then shares should be bought, with a voice voted for by the fans to have a say on how the club is run.

WATPRTID

Agree1 Disagree0

To the last poster, I wouldn't buy shares with the money.

i certainly didn't contribute my money to the fund to buy pointless and in the future worthless shares in the club.

It was supposed to be a fighting fund for the fans, not to help fund a share issue.

Ground improvments (using bluenose contractors) would be a good use of some of the money, the toilets and concourse areas are a disgrace for instance.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the money is being collected without the beneficiary being "legal" then probably best not to spend it on anything...sounds like an problem not required right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye Charlie stuck it on with Betfred on Rangers to win all their Division 3 games.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster who said 'using bluenose contractors' shows your mentality. Anyway I thought ibrox had 5* status. They must have been wrong awarding this auspicious accolade.

Agree1 Disagree0

So what of all the other teams who have collected money for their club ie leeds, pompey? Dont see them being called illegal. Dhims on it again

Agree0 Disagree0

"So what of all the other teams who have collected money for their club ie leeds, pompey? Dont see them being called illegal. Dhims on it again"

This is the type of reply that's got us into the state we're in in the 1st place.
There's nothing wrong with collecting cash.there are though, legal niceties to be adhered to by the organisation collecting the cash.If the RFFF has handled everything correctly,no problem.if they haven't then they're breaking the law.
Also, how other people go about their business has nothing to do with anything.it's how we go about ours that counts.you can't argue that it's OK for us to break the law because someone else did it.
We've got 2 choices:
We can either
1.Blame everyone else, ignore information we don't like(the important thing about info is not,who posted it but,is it right)deflect, deny, threaten anyone who doesn't agree with us etc
or my choice;
2.Get our own house in order.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great last post! But sadly the first option seems to be the norm over the last few months! But glad to see someone is starting to think outside the usual views

Agree0 Disagree0

There was over Ł600 000 in june. Thats was the last time I looked. But if you are worried about it theee is a RFF commite of which Coist and Smith are members of. Why not drop a question to these two very hounorable men. Rather than letting you imagination run wild .

Agree0 Disagree0

Will we ever get to know! It will be in someones pocket perhaps it may return to ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact that Ally and Walter are on "the committee" is completely irrelevant, they don't make something legal just by being committee members !!

rangers and mccoist transfer policy is a total sham buyes kyle sandazza but yet sits them on the bench if aint good anuf then dont sign them only get match fitness by playing time we started building for the future not build a pension fund for overrated players our scouting and manager need buck up there ideas an look for young talented kids that can go in the team straight away not sit on the bench charles must tell mccoist we aint signing these over the hill players no longer

Believable36 Unbelievable42

Fran Sandaza recovering from broken jaw.Kyle getting match fit after being out for more than a year.According to your logic they should be on the bench.

Agree1 Disagree1

If that was rangers playing last night they would get slated for playing that way but celtic get credit for playing that way its unreal

Agree3 Disagree2

This is exactly why I am not buying shares any way soon.

There should be no need for a cash injection given we are unable to purchase players and our attendances, tv income and merchandise should be more than enough to get us back to the SPL.

As such I say why the rush to take in Ł20m unless one wants to line ones own pockets and run.

Agree1 Disagree2

I often wonder about the scouting system at rangers,
celtic have unearthed a few gems over the past few years with a big sell on value, players no-one else seems to be aware of and yet rangers consistently sign duds, maybe it's time for rangers to get in some decent scouts who can actually spot talent

Agree2 Disagree1

The squad we have is easily good enough to win the 3rd and 2nd divisions. We're top of the 3rd div a quarter of the way through the campaign. So where's the fire? Sandazza was playing til he got injured. Temps also injured. These were our 2 top signings and will prove their worth when they return from injury. Get off Ally's back and stop expecting miracles. And please stop comparing us with Celtic. We're incomparable until we're back in the top-flight. WATP

Agree0 Disagree1

Good point, pains me to say it but the Celtic model is the only one we should be looking at in the current structure of revenue within Scotland. Celtic have put together their best team since ONeill was in charge at a fraction of the cost by investing in scouting and youth. If anything this should help us when we get back to the top esp if more Celtic players get moves to the Premiership i.e. us and them will be seen as a viable stepping stone for young talent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, this shambles has been going on for decades. Sub standard coaching and scouting at our club. Why are we not using this period where we don't need to worry about transfer budgets to invest instead in some quality staff. We must be the most short-sighted club in the world

Agree1 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more, there really has to be some questions asked about the Rangers Scouting Network. We rarely seem to bring in players who are 20/21 and where there is a sell on (should we decide to sell). Right now is the time whilst there is a transfer embargo and as such no pressure to scout players who are wanted / required in the next transfer window. As mentioned in the previous post Celtic have managed to unearth a few gems e.g. Kayal, Izaguirre and Wanyama.

The only thing that is a 'bonus' with regard to the Transfer Embargo is that we are now looking toward the Murray Park products - McLeod, McKay, Aird, Perry, Hutton, Cole, Naismith to hopefully become first team players. I do wonder who may be the next player to step into the first team set-up.

Agree0 Disagree0

In fairness rangers have produced sum great youth talent, yes we lost a few during the admin period but there are still some in the squad, i dont think scouting forigners or any other players is the answer, lets concetrate more on the coaching side rather than scouting. Rangers are on course to there goal this season and that is to top and stay on top of the sfl 3. For all that thought we would go unbeaten were just dreaming, it was always going to be a struggle but one that will unite the rangers team.

Agree1 Disagree0

Panic buys - only these duffers would accept SFL 3 football. Ally should have purchased some players from the SFL 1 and possibly SFL 2, some grafters who are not afraid to get stuck in and not some of the cr*p he did get. Only Shiels and Templeton IMO are any good.

Agree0 Disagree0

With the DeBoer/Ajax/Gers connection I'm sure we could send people over to Ajax to thoroughly analyse their youth system/coaching methods, and perhaps import it here? We have the facility, just lacking the experience and know how.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite agree with your point.

Agree0 Disagree0

O come on stop and think what your posting. kyle did it with hearts without problems remember hes been injured for a long time sandazza did well with st johnstone he just needs to get a run of goals and build the confidence. the other new guys have settle well. yes by all means if they both only score a couple then ill be the first to say out but until then im right behind them and the team at the end of it we are a TEAM SO GET BEHIND THEM

Agree0 Disagree0

Not up to green to tell mccoist who to sign otherwise why have him as boss unbelievable

Agree0 Disagree1

What scouting network ? I heard it was a tally van driver who heard about the players on his round and told ally when he bought his 6 nugget wafers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the chairman who decides who he will spend his money on the manager just asks if he can get a certain player another player stella that is no where near the team all these players we new about the fitness problems of kyle so why bring him in we have young attackers that could warm our bench waste of money if they aint in the team

Agree0 Disagree0

Sandazza is injured just now or he would be playing and as for kyle he was only signed as back up striker as know one else would sign for a division 3 club
