Before a player signs they go through a medical, regardless of how long he has been on trial it is a legal requirement for liability insurance.

He could of been training with us for two months he would still need a medical before signing that's just what needs to be done he may look fit but a Medical will check there are no underlining issues with his body that's all. look at lescott for example.

Robbieg69,the medicals are very thourough now mate, with scans and checks of bone structure etc, its not just a case because he's been training with us for 2 weeks that he doesn't need a medical because he looks fit, just doesn't work like that scans show up underlying problems.

Wow, Robbieg69. Where have you been for the last 20 years? Ruud at Man Utd with his ACL, Hartson failing with us and later signing for them, Prodan never playing a game after not having one before he signed. All big medical themed football stories to do with transfers.
