Dont shoot thw messenger, well reader of posts lol but there's a lot of noise about naismith doing training with rangers today and the possibility of signing, now people are arguing saying he's no chance because norwich paid 9 million two years ago, and others saying he's a free agent, what is the truth about his contract situation? If he is a free agent then i can pretty much see him signing for us

25 Jul 2017 12:34:18
He's got 2 years left in his contract

25 Jul 2017 12:39:51
Hope Naismith signs. My desire to see Rangers do well outweighs anything else.

25 Jul 2017 13:27:29
If Naismith is the answer. what's the question? Would be expensive, little if any re sell value. plus the baggage that he brings.

I'd imagine we could agree wages of 15k per week and can't see Norwich wanting anything more than £1m transfer fee to get him off their astronomical wage bill with the parachute payments drying up, think this is last season they receive it.
This is just my opinion though not based on any facts or rumours i'm afraid.
Like Rangers 0012 comment, sums it up perfectly even if he's from the dark side . or Not

25 Jul 2017 15:17:49
He isn't coming back to rangers . we couldn't afford the fee as he has 2 years left on contract and he has said he wants to stay in England . he isn't training at rangers as he is currently training with his own team . why do people on here just lie? Give it a rest, there's a difference in reality and what you want to happen

25 Jul 2017 16:28:34
Naismith was freed by Norwich. He was in talks with us 2 months ago so if he was going to sign, he would be there already.

If you know he is training then surely you would be savvy to whether or not he is under contract.

Another made up post.

If he was released why was he playing for them this week?

25 Jul 2017 17:22:34
I wasnt lying i was just passing on what i read on those rangers pages on facebook, i wanted to know his current contract situation as i didn't know if he was a free or not, if he was a free then yes we would have signed him due to no fee but in contract i don't see him going for anything less than 2-3 million do game over, he's a twat anyway but if he improved the team/ performances then i would welcone him back

25 Jul 2017 20:52:59
Naismith was not released, it was Whittaker that was released

26 Jul 2017 18:29:58
Baggage? Maybe Lafferty but not Naismith

26 Jul 2017 22:19:40
if norwich were interested in releasing naismith he wouldn't be playing for them as much as he has in pre season

26 Jul 2017 12:17:19
He joined norwich in jan 2016 on a three and half year deal

26 Jul 2017 14:15:33
Just what baggage is that? Putting his family and career first when he was an entirely innocent victim of SDM's financial mismanagement, poor legal advice, and Whytes duplicitous chicanery. Let's forget that he was a top performer onfield and made a major contribution to a winning side.

In my opinion he had every right to be unhappy with those responsible for the situation in which he found himself. If Walter were still in post would he welcome Naisy back? Absolutely, as would anyone concerned with the football aspects of the club!

Chest beating on the basis of tribalism and I'm a better Bear than you is so much piss and wind.
Sign the guy and if he scores the winner at Parkhead rejoice in the fact that we did!

Im not for re-signing naismith. He is a good player no doubt but, he's 30 and there is no way of recouping our money that we will pay him in wages. Plus he ditched us lickidy split straight after admin. i'm not prepared to forgive that. We stuff by our club and he didn't simple as.

27 Jul 2017 00:00:38
Why is it that I do not hear about any other Club being interested in Walker and Naismith?

27 Jul 2017 13:08:52
Did we miss a trick with Lafferty?
