Hi guys, just had a chat with Rob Calder (Danny willsons best mate) he says Danny should be a rangers player by the end of the week. He said Danny's very happy up here & just bought property as he thought he would be with hearts next season. Tried to get more out of him but he was rushing to the gym (wearing a onesie I may add) watp!

Yes it did but i'm a bear with a memory, and remember this time last year no club oops maybe I should say company to please people on here our club/company were in the hands of the liquidators and we had nothing NOW we have a future all i'm saying is a steady hand on the wheel, we don't need all these players to win div2 save the money for the spl year then we can brag with the WATP-please don't let history repeat sorry for going on but I never want to feel like I did this time last year

Hi guys do you think there is a bigger picture all these so called spl quality players coming in for free obviously rangers are looking for a big cup run to bring in money or they will be sold for big money In January

This is stupid as they are not allowed 2 sell a new signing 6 months after he arrives its in the ruls person

Sold for big money which one? The reason for so many SPL quality players is that Ally is under pressure & feels he needs to buy his way out signings are always nice but a bit of tactical know how grit & hardwork could have got us through these leagues easy on half the budget I firmly believe.

I doubt very much it would be big money, if these guys were going for big money then other teams would be picking them up now for free. Wallace and Macleod would command a transfer fee however I'd expect this would be six figures for both

The only one I can assume you're thinking of is the 2 clubs in a season rule, which doesn't apply as we would be their first club of the season

As to the main point the bigger picture is getting us back to the top without completely rebuilding the squad every year, yes we could assemble a team for the 2nd division but then what happens next season, do we build one for the first division?

Or do we start now building a team capable of challenging Celtic for when we get there

Boumsong was sold after less than 6 months, a few seasons ago man U bought bebe days after him signing for some potugese team. another player to be at more than one club in a season is John obi Mikel. Signed with man U from Lyn Oslo for £4million then Chelsea paid man U £12million for him straight away

first of all nobody but you has mentioned "big SPL players", in fact the OP called them "so called SPL quality players" which is a bit backhanded but let's look at them

Cammy Bell played 33 games last season
Nicky Law played 43 games for the team that finished 2nd
Jon Daly played 44 games

3 SPL players signed and all 3 were quite obviously first choice players for their teams, I'm not saying they're world beaters but they are certainly big players for the teams they were playing for

Mikel had an agreement with Utd in place but never actually signed a proper contract.

Did Wilson ever get a game for Liverpool first team? lol. I am a Blackpool fan and I would say after his shocking performances for us, you're better looking for someone else anyway. Berra would be a better signing for you guys, although we're hoping he comes to Blackpool.
