Anyone know what Mr Kennedy is worth and how much he would potentially invest?

Believable20 Unbelievable10

Think he has a personal wealth of between 250-300 million bt dont know how much he would be willing to invest

gers1986

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy worth 3500£ million

Agree0 Disagree0

Check Stockport County fan forums for you answer

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, he has a CW IOU....doh!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would you invest half your wealth to get back to were we were 12 months ago sorry but this will end one way liquidation and lets start again say what you want about whyte BUT the major factor is murray(the man who only made one mistake)

Agree0 Disagree0

Does he pay his taxes?

Agree0 Disagree0

He has a personal fortune of 400m but he also has upto 300m in the stock market and he is in the top 20 british rich list for owning companys in america so be hard to guess wat he is worth

Agree0 Disagree0

His wealth is also off the radar,I believe he has his paper round money saved up,plans to buy white out for £2.50 and invest the other £7.50 in the team

Agree0 Disagree0

Minimum purchase, maximum return, will change players contract to reflect money flow, many will leave and a rebuild willl take place with McCabe etc being promoted to first team, the days of millions for team rebuild are gone, and remember there is a difference between personal wealth and what a person is worth in the businesss world. The question will be will it be from his own pocket or borrowing against business. You will have noticed not one of the bidders has come out and told us which it will be. Mr. Kennedy, I suspect will be borrowing against business intrest as to expose against personal wealth is just foolish

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a Hibee publicity seeker!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see his investment being at all but then again i dont think anyones would be id be more than happy to see him steady the ship and allow for some quality free transfers and cheap targets. This for rangers is the way forward. Profitable aquisitions.

Blue Stu

Agree0 Disagree0

He is worth 250m so don't think for 1 second that big bucks will be there. i personally don't think he has the muscle to take our club forward or paul murray for that matter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any guy with say £50million private wealth could own Rangers and run it at its proper SPL level.
A few 2 and 2.5 million pound men, free transfers and youth is the future.
Low salaries and competitive football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense. the current team(regardless of the old firm result) needs overhauled which requires a fortune. as for youth players, how many half descent youths hae we produced over the years. 50m to run rangers-ur having a laugh!

Agree0 Disagree0

However says hes worth £250 mill is having a laugh and probably believes David King (the richest man in SA is worth £250 mill good saver since he only gets paid £5k a year in wages)
Brian Kennedy doesn't need to work. He's amassed a £3250m fortune, owns houses, planes, boats, even a title-winning rugby team. But here he is, launching a £360m takeover bid for the ailing conservatories business Ultraframe to bolster his home improvement businesses.

he's in the midst of shoring up his bid for Ultraframe, a business desperately in need of a turnaround job. Conservatories has proved a tough market for the Clitheroe-based company and it has lost £335m in the first six months of this year. Yet here was a business that was valued at more than £3600m less than six years ago but has lost money for the past two years as, supposedly, spending on big-ticket home improvements has dived.NOT AFRAID TO SPEND A PENNY OR TWO TO TURN IT ROUND and sticks by his investments

Agree0 Disagree0

I've read he's worth billions but have also read that figure is wrong. Think I saw it on Wikipedia. If you run a club right you don't need to spend heavy . It doesn't take millions upon millions to win SPL. Once you get a couple of titles won and a decent shot at ch league the better players will come. The big money will be paying the debts or however much we will have to pay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys, I dont care how much he is worth and how much he is willing to invest, all I care about is does he have the best interests of Rangers at heart, winning the leagues and cups I would love to be able to do, but as long as we survive with our great clubs history in tact and not some phantom club with no titles and no history to their name .......... Big Dave

Agree0 Disagree0

His overall wealth is 250 million not a lt if he is slapped with a big tax bill

Agree0 Disagree0

For every £1 Whyte invested he will invest £2

There has been alot of talk of what players were willing to take cuts , and what players would play for free, IMO they should of ALL played for free (their lifestyles blah blah, would you take a 75% cut at your work blah blah, not interested , our clubs been good to you now it's your turn to be good to the club), it's got me thinking , was there not a big name Celtic player a few year back who REFUSED a wage cut , then left the club he " loved" because their substantial counter offer to him was not good enough, I'm sure he's made that money back through his "book" though, any thoughts on a postcard to "hash tag, did ya not get paid more than enough of them Chris"

Believable27 Unbelievable17

Stop this rubbish, it does us no credit, it is us that have been caught wrong doing, although I believe we wil be the first in a long line, but name calling does us no favours, let us walk with our heads held high

Agree0 Disagree0

Everybody has Rangers fatigue now and nobody gives a to*s

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree m8. mud slingin not the rangers way. well dun the gers yesteray see coistys face in the record shows how much it means brilliant. gers4life

Agree0 Disagree0

What is the Rangers way then? I am a season ticket holder and have read this a few times recently. I don't think we are in any position to say that when you look at our way in the last year etc. Some of you really need to engage the grey matter before your mouths, it is p##h like this that is giving us a bad name. We have done wrong and should take the medicine.Keep our dignity and class but accept our wrong doing and not be so bleeding arrogant about things that we should be embarassed about.

Agree0 Disagree0

All rhat those Rangers stars that played well done is put themselves on the transfer window yesterday which is what anyone in that situation would do. They also showed that celtic are well over rated and their huge squad, wage bill and fanatical and demanding support will crash and burn in the champions league qualifiers or group stages. If you cant handle or triumph in a cup final against kilmarnock then clinch a title at your rivals ground when they are in administration then forget europe now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said

Agree0 Disagree0

The Rangers Way ?
sounds a bit like Celtic minded !

maybe we should stay away from that kind of bs talk

Apparently only 17 arrested in and around Ibrox yesterday and 7 of them were for breaches of the new legislation.
Hopefully that behaviour continued for the rest of the day and night.

Believable31 Unbelievable7

Witnessed no trouble at all at the game. Both sets of supporters impecabbly behaved and all the banter was good natured. To be honest this could have been one of the best OF games ever played. The sendings off though (all 3 of them) seemed unnecessary

Agree0 Disagree0

The fans of rangers and celtic where a credit to the clubs and the city well done shame about the 17 tho times have moved on for the good i feel the old songs of religion and politics is old hat the newer songs are better we need some more new ones great game great advert for glasgow and scotland well done the gers and hoops

Agree0 Disagree0

All good news but i wonder what would have happen if they had won the league at our place ???

Agree0 Disagree0

It's fantastic that both clubs seem to be moving past this stereotype which has, one way or another, damaged the Scottish game and reputation. Personally, i am catholic but have been a rangers fan my whole life, and i think that shows to an extent how little these songs represent the other side and their support. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with the above post, great that there was no real bother but It may well have been different if Rangers had lost, still greatful for small mercies(its only a game after all)

Agree0 Disagree0

It's more than a game'!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fan here im glad this new law is in place as when i take my son to ibrox i dont want him hearing these songs i want him to respect all scots creed colour or religion support our great club with football songs about the team and have a banter its more healthier and will give us more respect well done bears on sunday you were great well done to celtic fans too great win for the bears unlucky celtic

Paul Murray gone public saying hell walk away from Ticketus. Talk about fine weather friend. So where I'd he going to borrow his cash from? And how is his bid in the best interests of Creditors?

Believable17 Unbelievable7

My fellow bears, so it has started, we are now approaching the end game and this is where we will see those who are true and those who are out to seek publicity. All the talk about goups/consortiums/bidders, now the pressure is on to see who can make the smallest acceptable bid and maximise their profit, expect alot more strange bedfellows/falling out/ as they become aware of the other bidders bids and new groups are declaired

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't like p Murray part of the old board for years. Don't believe the whitewashing of him by JT & KJ he's not fit and proper.
He won't get work as a board member anywhere and needs the job/ pay.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll say it one final time.
The best deal will be Brian Kennedy.
Posted the other day about this.
He is D&P's favourite as things stand.
Also posted when he put bid on hold to check Ticketus ruling, that if he came back in, which he has, then he is serious.
He's a pal of Souness. End of...
Unless PM walks away from Ticketus (which he now has) or an exceptional bid from elsewhere appears out of the blue, then BK is our man. Stop listening to the Eastender's propaganda, and stop being so f$ckin negative. Stevie-A-Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because you started your view with " i`ll say it one final time" does that mean that we have no opinion and that we should all just listen to what you have to say ? is this a true statement of what is going to happen 100% ? or are you just posting on here like all the other lads are with their views but feel you know it all. luckily we wont have to listen to you opinion again as you have said it for the last time as stated./biggles

Agree0 Disagree0

Their is no deal, this is coming from the same people who peddled the nonsense about craig whyte being a billionaire, 5mins on google would have told you all you needed to know. why are rangers fans so gullible and so quick to believe fairystories when information was freely available. club finished

Agree0 Disagree0

When are the true rangers fans going to stand up and be counted when are we going to tellduff and phelps they are not acting in our name I for one would rather we went through afew barren years than to have it forever thrown in our face that we didnt pay our debts Iam ashamed of some of my fellow bears in there haste to welcome the prospect of our once proud club trying to wriggle out of paying what we are due yesterday proved we dont need abig budget to keep pace with the dhims we should be sending out amessage that we will do the right thing and come back stronger in the very near future

Agree0 Disagree0

@Biggles - Have your goggles steamed up? Where in my post does it say no one else is entitled to an opinion? To answer your question, No i don't know, it was my opinion last week, based on negative posts regarding BK pulling out,and our going to the wall. However If you read my previous post on this, you will see that what i said to a degree has come to pass. BK sought further legal advice and came back in.
My frustration was directed solely at the original poster about being so f£ckin negative. Stevie-A-Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

As per the Judges ruling - The administrators may be able to breach the Ticketus contract (while in admin). However once the next payment is due for Ticketus (and if RFC are out of admin at that time) it will go to court as a breach of contract.
I don't see how TBK can ignore Ticketus unless its a newco they setup.

Agree0 Disagree0

FFS check the Stockport County fan forums to see the pedigree!

Agree0 Disagree0

D&Ps job is to maximise return for Ticketus (Biggest Creditor) its their job to look after Ticketus not Rangers!
That's their legal brief as an Administrator.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Mar 2012 16:45:07
Paul Murray may bid without ticketus. I thought we were stuck with them? Can rangers walk away from ticketus? And have any bidders officially pulled out?

Believable13 Unbelievable5

Technically the admin guys can refuse to keep the ticketus deal, as they only have contractual rights and not what is classed as real or property rights to the seats or any money from the seats at ibrox, (this is what has said in court in friday) they are not a secured creditor but i would see it leading to a large court case if they scrap it,

no bidder has walked away infact the one who was said to be doing that in the press, in now said to be stepping up his bid i.e brian kennedy

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought you didnt do walking away ! or is it just when it s paying your bills

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketus contract stands and will stand. The right to the Asset (tickets) still stands also but is a matter of interpretation.
Since the contract is solid, and it's for 60% tickets, how can you possibly differentiate the contractual right from the assets? This would roll in the courts for years if D&P try to void it.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it can be voided why haven't D&P already done so ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Please please oh please tear up the contract with ticketus, please do it today, then allow us to watch the fun as ticketus the secure ibrox piggery as an asset against the forth coming high court case that will go on for years...you might end up in admin for many years to come, then what will you do for players when all the little piglets leave in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's right. Rangers stay in admin. Celtic win everything. Need all the help they get do the tic. What's up ? Realised this Celtic team ain't as good as you thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant say in admin any longer than a year thats the law.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Mar 2012 15:14:08
i know this is a strange one but rangers and celtic are after 22 year old player tranmere center half Danny Holmes Liverpool also want this player but he preferably wants a move to rangers even with the financial problems at ibrox i have never heard of the player but i have heard he is meant to be not a bad player

source talksport

campbell

Believable6 Unbelievable44

Cant see it unless he is looking for advice on Tax and Vat avoidance

Agree0 Disagree0

We'd need to get out of administration first.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barratt Homes are interested in moving to ibrox also.

Agree0 Disagree0

That was the bit i didn't understand eather with us being in administration but just saying what i heard

campbell

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye sherlock homes too trying to get whyte out from his lair anybody know where hes hiding right now doug

Agree0 Disagree0

More dhims comments than bears says it all

Agree0 Disagree0

"Cant see it unless he is looking for advice on Tax and Vat avoidance"

And here we have it the first crack in Timmy's armour, you are right it was tax avoidance which is legal whereas tax evasion is the criminal offence. Thanks for the confirmation

just watched scotland today there lunch time news looks like another bidder has thrown his hat into the mix....they will be announcing who it is on the tea time show....hope we get this sorted before the end of the season fellow bears we don't need anymore uncertainty going into next season
greig h

Believable15 Unbelievable5

This was just them catching up with the singapore bid from friday not a sixth bidder

Agree0 Disagree0

Club up for sale for 3yrs no-one interested. got sold for £1 to a scottish media fairystory billionaire with a mystery warchest. end of story no unknown bidders no mystery groups all made up im afraid. rangers are finished

Agree0 Disagree0

The only thing that's "finished " here mate is the chance of Celtic winning the treble! The way yous have been playing doubt you will even get a sniff of the Scottish cup!. So timmy boy take your tainted title this year mate we will be back, stronger pennyboy

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said! The Gers will return! We are not over!

Agree0 Disagree0

"TAINTED" verb
1.contaminate or pollute
2.Affect with a bad or undesirable quality
3.to Corrupt morally.

TAINTED Adj
1.Corrupt

Definition of Tainted for those of you who dont know what the word means.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only thing tainted are rangers.... fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh dear, the ‘fact’ police are back.

Agree0 Disagree0

The last 5 ins tarnished what was a resounding victory, happy for Ally, give him a job at Ibrox for life due to his fantastic leadership during this most trying of times, just not as manager tho, he still makes some quite baffling decisions

Believable21 Unbelievable18

Celtic fan here. I was at the game yesterday and Rangers thouroughly deserved their win. They were hungrier, sharper and stronger than we where. Forget the ref decisions. RFC won the match fair and square. Just wonder why this group of players have not shown a fantastic support (I was overwhelmed with the atmosphere) the same spirit over the last month. You would be well clear of Motherwell by now and 2ns spot guaranteed. For me Ally is not the man. Yeh he should be kept in some form. Maybe a media man or something. He seems more set on getting the plaudits for his off-field antics rather than getting results on the park. His show yesterday, shaking hands with all our players. Would this have happened if the result was reversed. Dont think so! Again, playing to the media. Rangers are about to go through a lot of major changes - McCoist should be one of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, McCoist as manager has been our downfall this season more than anything else. While yesterday was nice it papered over a lot of cracks and had we not been playing against 9 men it could have been a different outcome - I thought we should really have put them to the sword. Nice to see a bit of Karma with the decisive second goal. Yes Wallace was offside yesterday but have to remember the goal that was not given in the December fixture.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wallace wasnt offside when whitaker crosses hes a full yard behind the nearest celtic defender and it then comes off rogne and falls to wallaces thats why it was allowed

Agree0 Disagree0

It came off lafferty

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought it went straight through hard to call wit the naked eye think lemon wants to give up way the referees , own up to your team not performing he would rather deflect attention to refs than take the flak.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do not care what anyone says yesterday was a total hoax , Lennon hates Rangers, Ally hates Celtic, both at a meeting laughing and Joking on Friday afternoon, Saturday Lennon declares he would rather not win the title at Ibrox , Lennon sent off in an conflicting stramash in private. Bullsh*t, No Rangers No Celtic, it's the fecking Tom&Jerry show Glasgow style Comon the Well

Agree0 Disagree0

So it's confirmed then that Brian
Kennedy is one of only three on the
shortlist. The other two are rumoured
to be the Singapore consortium which
is the reason D&P have been holding
off making a decission and Club 9.
Aparantley the link with ticketus for
Paul Murray has not helped his bid at
all and the other brittish groups initial
interest is remaining unnamed due
to respect to the bidders offer but was
not good enough.

For me Kennedy would actually do a
great job for Rangers. The Blue Knight
would be a major mistake and back to
the Old Boys act. Real change is the
way ahead for this club for its long
term survival.

Believable35 Unbelievable9

I dont think im going to buy this 1 untill its confirmed fully as i think the Blue Knights will be considered to the very end purely because i think they will want the club no matter the outcome of any court decisions. They have to be kept as a fall back plan. I dont think they are the way forward but i believe when it gets down to the nitty gritty they may be the only option.

Blue Stu

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, Blue Knights/Murray PR machine has suddenly gone underground since the court outcome last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well mate i had never heard of Brian Kennedy before he said he wanted to buy rangers but i have heard lots of good things about him and he seems to have the best interests of the club at heart and ally mcoist says he thinks he would be a good owner for rangers and what ever super ally says i will back him up as he loves rangers and has the club at heart to

campbell

Agree0 Disagree0

Ses in tonights Glasgow evening times that by end of week the administrators will only have a short list of 2 to choose from,,Brian Kennedy and the Singapore consortium.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian kenedy seems by far the most professional

Agree0 Disagree0

Campbell if you have only heard good things about Kennedy you should get in contact with Stockport County fans, he is a Charlatan just as bad as Whyte. He bought their club to get the stadium for his Rugby team, left them with no money and Stockport crashed down through the divisions. Be careful what you wish for.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe Kennedy bought stockport etc, then sold it to the fans...then it went down hill. The fans now blame Kennedy and the Rugby team for Stockports demise....rather than looking at their own failings...(IMHO)

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not even goni try and tell you,s as ye never listen to the facts!Brian Kennedy is a stand up guy and everyone is a liar especially them(Timmy)Stockport fans? But please don,t try and blame Celtic again when you become Shark bait

Agree0 Disagree0

Am a celtic fan but am sure rangers are more of a money spinner than stockport, at least we will still ave the competition n the banter this mickey mouse league needs

Agree0 Disagree0

I am a Celtic fan and I dont want Rangers gone either. Broke yes, gone no.

Kennedy screwed Stockport horrendously. They are now paying rent to play at their own stadium.

Look at it this way, if you wanted to buy a club as a money spinner then a club in the English lower leagues makes far more sense than a club which is basically at the limit of its potential. It would have cost a lot less to take Stockport up a few leagues than it will to pay off RFC debt and THEN shell out for players to get them at a competitive standard in the CL (The only way Rangers can move up a level, unlikely as it may be.)

A lot of my mates are Rangers fans and they have been through hell with the Whyte debacle, I personally dont want to see them endure it again because the club/fans would rather believe fairy stories than the facts. As has been said before on here 5 minutes on google a year ago would have told you all you needed to know about Whyte.

Ed do you have any insight on the Stockport situation? Cheers

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Stockport fan (who own the club and got their club in a mess) hate Kennedy, but has anybody thought to mention Sale Sharks fans, they were also on the brink of financial ruins and now they are one of the bigeest (and best) rugby teams in Britain, two side to every story folks

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Mar 2012 14:03:31
Brian Kennedy the Messiah and brief owner of stockport county before selling the club back to the fans and securing Edgely park for the Shaks rks(rugby team)As Stockport plummeted down through the English leagues Stockport now pay rent to play at Edgely park, although Kennedy has waived the nxt 6 months rent to ease Countys own financial issues!Awfy kind hearted fae a man who also has links with the word liquidation too.Fit and proper anyone?Like flies to s**te

Believable19 Unbelievable13

C'mon timothy,still sore from yesterday!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, not very popular man on the County's fan forums.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian has an agenda and it isn't throwing a hundred million pounds of hard earned down the Rangers debt hole.
No ones largesse stretches to the incredulous. And a Hibs fan too boot!
Wake up...........again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look it up! its common knowledge. Don't let lightning strike twice.

Everything that isn't exactly what you want to hear is Timmy nonsense and that is part of the reason the club are in this mess.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Its true i am a tim but since i read facts and not the scottish media then as the last post said "look it up" It might get yer heads out of the sand?Ignoring facts won,t make the truth go away and correct he is not a fans favourite in Stockport in his 1st venture in owning a football club.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Mar 2012 13:10:16

Just a few things. Well Done to Rhys McCabe. Great Old Firm debut. Personally Mr Lennon, you have won the league. So at the end of the game, take it like a man. And on a shocking note. Half time interview with McCoist, bald guy in back ground am thing who is he staring at the camera, then to my surprise when the camera zoomed out. Its Broxi Bear! Did anyone else know it was a guy in a suit?
Don

Believable20 Unbelievable8

I seen broxi lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I noticed that to. It has ruined it for my kids lol, they thought it was a real bear but now they know the truth

Agree0 Disagree0

First Santa and now this.... :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Lenny cant sit in the directors box for his own safety ? you,s truely are scotlands shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't just blame some mental fans. Blame your manager for acting the way he acts. If a steward has to tell a fan to sit down 5 times. The police boot that fan out of the stadium. Maybe we should just have done that?
Don

Agree0 Disagree0

What...... santas no real. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

It was Paul Murray cos that's the only way he's going to play a part in the new rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye good one "scotlands shame" Was it against rangers when a fan go into the dugout area to attack lennon? no it was hearts, it takes 1 idiot out of a crowd of 50000 to ruin a match, it was for his safety.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was celtic security that told Lennon not to sit there Rangers offered him a seat in the bow that was declined :)
