Former Inverness caley thistle striker adam rooney is on his way back to Scotland to sign for rangers, mccoist is signing Steve simonsen the goalie, centre half boris pandza & adam rooney and that's his business complete these 3 will all be signed within the next week, and when it happens I'll come back on
Would certainly give the attacking formation another dimention, and give a solid backline if true

Would love to see it happen but I am very doubtful. would still like to see Craig Gorden on a pay per play deal though. Gorden instead of Simonsen and we would be set if we got those 3. wouldn't need to sign anymore until people began to leave.

I would be happy with that, still need to show a few players the door though.

Thought we were getting Lee Camp as the keeper.
Adam rooney would be a great addition if we could get him. would like padzna aswell and a backup goalie then I think we could have a right go at winning a cup.

Is Rooney currently with Oldham?
Totally unrelated but does can anyone post the fantasy league details for the season ahead?
Im friendly with Bomber from way back, I know he rates simonsen highly, as do most english managers, he was an England under 21 star and something went wrong, but he still made a career out of fotball so he does have something to offer and is a decent backup. I agree getting gordon on a" as you play" deal would be a no brainer, Moshni as signed, all is god for were we, er at, but please don't be fooled by by he "cup" business,
Rangers are a long way off from challenging for major cups, we do not need a tanking from a club who couldn't live with a gers team from the past, celtic would take great pleasure from hammering us and right now we don't need that, we need to go about our business and avoid any humilliation or major mishaps, then in 2 years we could be a proud Rangers again, with no record scorelines against us, because be assured, some people would like nothing more than to preside over a record scoreline against the greatest club in his country, Tommyblue
Rooney was training with Oldham as his contract with Swindon did not materialise, and as far as I know is still a free agent.
Will he be attending the Ginger Rights march in Edinburgh?
Lets be honest. How many times have celtic/rangers played lower level teams and not dished out tankings and record scorelines. What is celtics record against rangers. 7-1 or something along those lines. Remember not so long ago when both played in the SPL with quality players. 6-2 Celtic, 5-1 Rangers, wins for Rangers at parkhead, wins for Celtic at Ibrox. It would be good for some of the young players to get a taste of old firm and a taste of being the under dog for once. As long as I saw a team with a positive mentality tryin to win a match and giving 100% for Rangers I'd be happy. If it was the usual no imagination, no attempt at goal, no real threat, no real passion, park the bus and see what happens mentality then I would be pig sick. The team that beat Motherwell and the team who were humbled by Inverness last season were like 2 different outfits.
A fit determined hardworking team can chalenge even the best teams, If we're organised and don't meet Celtic too early ie before all the new recruits get a chance to play together competively then I don't see why anyone would fear them. who would be under pressure. Us?. don't think so!
