Stephen Naismith is in advanced talks with rangers.

27 May 2017 21:42:44
In would be happy to have him back. Would be an improvement on what we have.

27 May 2017 21:43:17
PCP

Naismith deal is done, he will 100% be a rangers player next season. Not sure about how much wages or what the deal costs etc. But I can definitely confirm he is a rangers player

Source, family member and former rangers players agent aswell

27 May 2017 22:08:07
I hope so would definitely improve are side big Time and with him Wallace miller jack maybe dorrens could have a good amount of Rangers men to be a good mix with the new Mexican Portuguese guys coming in

27 May 2017 23:12:22
jack had a good wee battle with brown today, would like him here at rangers

28 May 2017 00:12:33
Wouldn't take Naismith back after what he did

28 May 2017 01:07:59
The sooner all the rangers fans get over the past the better! Why would we turn down a player of naismiths quality? he's rangers through and through and will undoubtedly be a great signing for us. We all need to forget the past and look to the future and get 110% behind Pedro and his team. Judge him at the end of next season. I for one am really confident in the way we're going. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

28 May 2017 07:14:09
He's not rangers through and through for obvious reasons. He's a rat like the rest of them.

28 May 2017 07:16:59
naisy is rangers through and through.

we were going through a rough patch, no one knew if we would ever be the same rangers, he said we were not the same club, as many people thought.

now he is begging to come back, so i would welcome him

i think with him upfront we can challenege for first, he will be the best scottish player in the SPL

28 May 2017 07:52:18
Pedro has already said he's looking at the Scottish league and leagues he knows well for players. naismith dorrans etc don't fall under this category it's not going to happen

28 May 2017 09:09:17
Naismith is a rat. He deserted the club and then had the audacity to say the club was dead there was no need to say that and it was unforgivable. Now it appears that some Gers fans are that desperate that they are willing to forgive that and in BluebloodGerz case justify it.

28 May 2017 09:33:28
As BlueBloodGerz stated, NONE of us really knew how we would come out the other side of administration Naismith included, I know what he said wasn't right and perhaps he could have shown a wee bit more compassion, but haven't we all said and done things in the past that we regret? If Steven comes back he will add so much quality to our squad and if he scores a winner at the piggery then i'm sure all would be forgiven, its time to move on people, administration is in the PAST, last season is in the PAST and whatever people have said is in the PAST . In order to move FORWARD we need to put the bullshit to bed, i'd take ANYBODY who'd improve us, Naismith included

28 May 2017 09:40:24
Naisy deal is OFF. We wouldn't meet his wage demands.

28 May 2017 09:47:28
Anybody who doesn't want Naismith back are needing to have a serious word with themselves! He's a top class player who will score goals and run through a brick wall for you. Imagine we had Naismith, Herrera, Weiss and Carlos Pena in our side next year at the very least we would close the gap on that mob!

28 May 2017 10:40:34
Vanbasten

How is this top class player as you put it being released from Norwich then? Surely teams would want to hold on to top class players or sell them for a fee?

28 May 2017 10:44:20
Naismith would improve the team and who doesn't want that he's not a mo Johnston or kenny miller he was looking after his family the same as all of us would do he went for better money and job security as no one knew how it would turn out way Craig whyte or Charles green

28 May 2017 11:34:54
Abcd123. Nobody had a problem with players leaving the club after were liquidated and relegated. However it's the fact that they refused to tupe over and walked away for nothing that angers people. Had they done that they could have been sold for a vastly reduced fee, 250k for example. It would have brought some money into the club at a time of need. Do you honestly think that Everton would have passed on Naismith because of 250k? Not one person expected them to play in the Third division. But instead of helping the club they harmed it instead. That is not the actions of people who are "Rangers through and through".

28 May 2017 11:36:58
The guys who won't have Naismith and the like back would rather wallow 30 points below Celtic smothered by their own bitterness.

They are not true fans of the club - true fans only want to see the club successful again.

Time to move on "fans"

28 May 2017 11:56:33
Naismith is a class player name 1 player in our team rhat would play in the premiership. And then name 1 who would score a hatrick against chelsea

28 May 2017 11:56:46
The 250k they would would have got for him would have went in whytes pocket there's no way 250k would have been spent on rangers when whyte was there

28 May 2017 11:58:03
Rangers would improve way Naismith in the team yes or no

28 May 2017 12:04:49
Anyone that will improve the team and help to win us the league should be welcomed back. Ex players are not the enemy, our enemies are across the city at the Piggery.

28 May 2017 13:06:48
A free transfer, Scottish international and been there and done it in the premiership with Everton! It wasn't that long ago he scored a hatrick agaist Chelsea! He's 10 times better than garner and waghorn but yet some fans don't want him which I feel is astonishing! 🙈😂

28 May 2017 14:28:03
Said this a few weeks ago and was told there was no chance. Off the same people who post 100 rumours and hold on to the 1 they get right. you're welcome!

28 May 2017 15:13:05
Time to put the past behind us. If we can get Naismith in for free then let's get the deal done (if Pedro is interested of course) . Yes I hate the way he left the club and the famous press conference but it's time we started looking forward instead of behind us all the time.

28 May 2017 15:27:35
Resigning Naismith is stepping backwards he's an injury pron 30 something even if he never deserted us I still wouldn't want him back we need talented young players not money grabbing has beings

28 May 2017 15:52:16
Apparantly he says he will go as low as 17000 a week. If we can't give him that were in dire straights. Apparantly dorrans is desperate to play for us too and will drop as low as possible to sign. Again. Just rumours

28 May 2017 17:23:42
If he comes I'll support him - anyone in that jersey should get our full support! But I'll not lose any sleep if he doesn't come either. nor will I be surprised if it's wage demands that end up making the deal fail.

28 May 2017 18:46:44
Deanobear you mentioned Wallace he is rotten and one we need rid of. He is the same as tav terrible at defending ok going forward and gets caught too far up the pro all the time but because he stayed for the journey you ain't allowed to slag him.

28 May 2017 18:57:43
I genuinely would be disgusted if we brought any of those traitors back. "Rangers through and through" you all must be joking. He only wants to come back because no one else will pay his over priced wages. Let him and his pals lie in the bed they made. Don't ever forget they ABANDONED us when we needed them most!

28 May 2017 21:21:58
good shout deano

family friend is a lawyer and agent who works with stable of players incl mccarthy dorrans etc and the latest is dorrans deal is almost there

a revamped midfield with jack, dorrans and a fit rossiter wld allow us to compete. not sure if this mexican will sign but we have to back Pedro and support the guy 100%

29 May 2017 13:22:29
I am told by a Naismith family member he was duped by David Weir but a bit of gratitude for the wages sidelines after his stupid tackle would not have gone amiss.

I honestly don't know what I think about him coming back

29 May 2017 15:16:52
A lot of guys on here clearly don't value principles. Fine that he left, but to put the boot in like he did was unnecessary and if any of my friends did the same I'd no longer consider them "Rangers men".

27 May 2017 17:05:24
preston have vigorously denied claims they are to sign joe garner (DAMN)

28 May 2017 09:10:22
Cant blame them he is rank rotten and they couldn't believe someone was willing to pay £1.8m for him

28 May 2017 19:20:37
They must have been laughing into there champagne when we signed the deal for 1.8million for him it makes the lafferty for 3million deal look shrewed.

29 May 2017 12:27:42
Paying £3m for Lafferty is right up there with the worst deals we have ever done. Garner has not been here long enough to be in the Lafferty category and thankfully he doesn't get us unwanted front page headlines that Lafferty did.

Whether Garner could be a success with a quality midfield and a fast striker alongside him I don't know but Lafferty was in a better side and was a total disaster.

29 May 2017 15:17:56
Couldn't have put it better myself, TOMUSA.

27 May 2017 11:10:47
Preson to offer £500,000 for garner yes please buy buy garner.

27 May 2017 11:48:50
I'll certainly be Glad All Over the moment he leaves Ibrox.

27 May 2017 11:56:18
I agree, time to go joe, in all honesty tho I'm disappointed how it worked out for joe garner , when we signed him I thought he might have been a really really good bit of business for us, as I live in the north west of England I saw and heard a lot about him and thought he would do the bizz for us, another reminder of how important it is for us to get things right this time around regarding transfers as we can't afford anymore (quite pricey) flops

27 May 2017 12:23:36
Why should we take a £1.3 million loss to the club we bought him from not good business

27 May 2017 12:41:16
Unfortunately, we need the money and if that's all we can get for him now it implies that we paid way over the top when we signed him.

27 May 2017 12:46:28
We are still owe money for Garner so maybe he might just go back with no money changing hands.

If we had decent wingers and midfielder then i'm sure Garner would have scored more, look at the changes since Pedro has came in, scoring more when the ball is crossed into the vox rather than passed to death

27 May 2017 13:40:22
Pedro keen to put his own stamp on things, and knows he needs proven goal scorers. Moult and Herrera his preferred signing options, but he's been told he must move on Garner and Waggy

27 May 2017 23:11:38
Imo Bears Garner should get another Season. Taking a 1.3m hit is madness plus I really do believe he will bang goals in next Season.
We MUST get rid of Wags and there is a profit coming from him although only 200-300k.

Im in 2 minds about Dodoo if someone wants him and we can get the same Fee as we paid then ok BUT think a Seasons loan would be ok with me.
What's the thoughts on loaning him out to Livingston paying his wages so we can get the lad Knox.

27 May 2017 23:14:57
Why would we consider £500k for garner? It buys you what? Another ohalloran. If we can't get near what we paud orcat least £1m then keep him. One poor season doesn't make himva poor player. Remember Hately?

29 May 2017 11:18:23
Bigbluenose its actually 2 bad seasons the one he just had with us and the last season at Preston were he scored what 5/ 6 league goals only for them too.

29 May 2017 12:29:49
I am in the camp that would keep Garner and give him another season under Pedro to see what he can do with a decent quality midfield, (assuming we secure all the players that Pedro wants) .

Taking a £1.3m loss is madness!

27 May 2017 10:30:27
Press in Mexico are saying we are paying £3.2million for Pena incan't see us spending that sort o cash tbh.

27 May 2017 10:38:58
I find that really hard to believe. In the unlikely event that it's true I worry how that will effect other signings if we're spending that much on one player.

27 May 2017 12:02:22
Just finished writing a post about joe garner and how we can't afford anymore pricey flops only to read a few posts later that it's reported that a sum of £3.2mill is bein thrown around regarding Pena, for ffs, let's hope if true it pays off and he won't be off to Preston for £500k in January

27 May 2017 12:23:50
£2.2 m

27 May 2017 12:32:15
Fans ask King to show his cash and soon as they find out the could pay 3 million for a player they say it's a risk. I think if it turns out to be true then it's great news, it should tell us the money is there for players Pedro wants

27 May 2017 12:34:57
Pedro Mendes has a few players that he represents that are out of contract and some of those players will be signed for free, striker by the name of Carlao is one of them.

27 May 2017 12:36:19
Regarding Penarth, his agent has suggested it may be a loan deal.

27 May 2017 13:09:54
Agree with boy and blue. 👍

27 May 2017 15:36:16
Could it maybe be 3.2 million euros? Still out with outback budget I would have thought. Figure I heard was 1 million but that's just from rumour sites

27 May 2017 21:30:29
It will almost definitely be US Dollars if it is Mexico. So If is is 3.2m then at current exchange rates we are talking £2.4m / £2.5m

Seems like a good deal for someone previously valued at $7m

27 May 2017 23:07:24
Not sure about the cost of any individual player, but what what a massive chance to tap into a new player market at all levels, apparently we are getting huge media coverage in Mexico just now . Pc's knowledge from different parts of the world might just find us some quality players and a chance to capitalise through profit in the transfer market. I realise there is a lot of risk buying players from different cultures but it's great we are now thinking "out the box" to identify decent players. It really could turn the club's fortunes around!

29 May 2017 11:33:51
Somebody needs to read properly before jumping on a signing fee and complain it is Euros not £ pounds and it still might be a loan first that is still getting sorted out, the player wants to join us his club have said they won't step in his way as he wants to join us and Pedro Bad but Also there is another Mexican Club that wants him with probably more money than we have just now and that could increase the Fee and also may only turn it to a loan first due to this as he really wants to join us but His employers (club) are going to expect the best offer so It might be just a loan but I really hope its a permanent signing that can be agreed on.

29 May 2017 12:31:52
If this guy is wanted by Pedro and the boy wants to come to Rangers, (which is what is being reported in the Mexican Sports papers), then we should be pulling out all the to get him signed.
