i heard a rumour that rangers have been speaking to arsenal about possibly taking mikel arteta on loan for 6 months with the view to making it a permanent deal at the end of the season.

if as expected we get back up to the Scottish premiership, I would take arteta back at rangers in a minute, I can only assume if this is true then arteta will play in our defensive midfield holding role which would be perfect for us and him, thoughts guys? As arteta is in his early 30's now in this role we could get a good 3 or 4 years out of him imo!

to slow, not tough enough, we need more of a hurrlock than an arteta.

He is 33 and will be 34 in March. Dnt want people at the end on there career. No thanks. Let's keep his legacy as was!

Can't see it I'd say he's on at least 40grand a week.

Arteta can stay away. The British climate is to cold was his reason for leaving, but when the ££££s where on offer at Arsenal a year later, the cold didn't seam too bad.

nice to see we have several comedians on here. there is no way on this planet rangers will sign arteta on loan or permanently. the guy is on a fortune down south and there is plenty of other premiership teams who would take him in a heartbeat and pay him at least 6 or 7 times what we could afford to pay him. anyway that is my rant over back to normality now.

Yes please, but never going to happen.

Every body is moaning about wanting an experienced player in amongst the younger team we have, as soon as one is linked with us he's too old? Imo he'd be perfect.

Would be great for us.

A good player but please guys, is he not injury prone. We'd need to take an ambulance to the away games.

30 Nov 2015 09:21:14
He would be a great experienced player for the holding midfielder role and could pass on a wealth of knowledge to our young midfielders.

Would be an excellent signing but I doubt we would be looking to offer the kind of wages it would take to make it happen. Especially as we are not even in Europe and paying someone big bucks would probably effect the harmony of the team.

Seriously we won't be signing any players like that again he must be on at least 50k a week.
