ally says he keen on a striker today and craig mather has allowed them to enter talks. anyone heard who it is? hope its not that dumpling whos in tanning

Unbelievable15
First it was Kris Boyd, then Kenny Miller and then Nacho Novo that was being brought back as striker. Now it turns out it is Charles Green.
Agree0

It's probably some over 30 ex gers player cause that all he's obsessed about.
Agree0
Disagree0
How is McCoist obsessed with bringing back ex rangers players over thirty? Who has he actually tried to bring back except miller? Smith and foster in particular art good signings.
Agree2
Disagree0
McCoist is right; we do need additional attacking players. Little has already showed that he is no where near good enough, even for this level of football.
He is also correct that he needs another centre back because right now he only has one worth talking about and he cannot play until September!
Agree0
Disagree0
No way will Ally be doing any more dealings without Greens say so. and that's unlikely.

Blades manager David Weir has interests in David Templeton, for a fee of 700k.
Believable12

Sure he is but not for £700k, we paid £800k I think
Agree0

700k that, l b shining bright7 million maybe

Weir needs to sharpen his pencil. Hopefully our current CEO is not like David Murray's puppet who was totally clueless on transfers.
If Weir wants Templeton then we need to make a sizeable profit on the deal.

Add another 500k if this rumour is true.

Just seen this on the rangers app!!
THE Board of Rangers confirms that, on 1 August 2013, it received a notice requisitioning a General Meeting of shareholders (the "Requisition")
The Requisition puts forward resolutions for the removal of Craig Mather, Brian Stockbridge and Bryan Smart as directors of the Company and the appointment of Paul Murray and Frank Blin as directors of the Company.
The Board is verifying whether the Requisition is properly constituted and further announcements will be made as appropriate.

Was going to buy my son his first season book this year along with my own. It ain't happening now. I hope Charles Green is happy. I won't hear a bad word said against Mccoist and Smith but the rest of these clowns are only here for an inflated salary. I will not see my sons first foray to Ibrox paying Charles Greens 'fees'. A sad day indeed
Agree3

I just read this also on the website. What does this mean I'm not the brightest lol
Agree0

I wonder why and who it is that wants rid of mathers and Stockbridge and bryan smart just when the dust seems to settle up pop another catastrophe but could this be Walter who's getting the shareholders to get rid of them and getting people on the board that he knows am a bit sceptical about it though is it just coincidence that the day we here that green is back and then this Paul Murray has already been there but but can't seem to find out much about that frank blin
Agree0
Disagree0
There is no coincidence, Green is a liability and those with true blue intent have decided enough is enough. The move to get Mather etc is to remove Greens 'yes' men and put the club on a settled footing. We should welcome this and stand with them. Green et al will fleece this club but in a more subtle way than Whyte
Agree1
Disagree0
Ed what does this mean for Mather {Ed001's Note - depends on the meeting mate, they will be recommending he loses his post, which will mean he is recompensed and shown the door. It could mean he stays on in his role and nothing happens to him though.}
Agree0
Disagree0
Frank Blin is an accountant who has run PWC for 17 years. A very shrewd appointment. Both Murray and Blin are appointments of Jim McColl who has bought shares.
Agree0
Disagree0
If its true about jim mccoll then can the shareholders not just do the same as what their trying to do to mathers and co and also if we are being robbed do you honestly think a shrewd businessman like mccoll would put his money in for the shysters to walk away with it and if it is mccoll would it not have been better for him if the fans didn't renew ther st

My mate plays for Broxburn Juniors where Andy Goram has been doing a bit of goalkeeping coaching as well as running coaching for the youngsters. He confirmed that Rangers are in advanced talks with Craig Gordon about a pay as you play deal with a view to looking at the situation again in January i. e. if it goes well fitness wise etc, there could be the possibility of a 2 year deal on the table.
Craig Gordon is fit at the moment, it's whether he can get a run of games under his belt but he has seemingly been playing bounce games behind closed doors at Murray Park to see how he goes fitness wise.
The pay as you play deal would suit both parties based on the well documented injury problems Gordon has had over the last couple of years and with the financial situation at Ibrox in terms of bringing any more players in. We are in serious need of another goalkeeper so if he can stay fit, he would be ideal for the gers.

I was told about this weeks ago when the boys were up in Brora

Why would he sign a pay as you play contract when he is most likely going to be backup to bell
Agree0
Disagree0
I assume being on the subs bench counts as playing?
Agree0
Disagree0
Well if he's a back up then he would be getting some cup matches if he signed no doubt he's a good goalie just the fitness and we will snap him up (I hope)
Agree0

03 Aug 2013 03:03:04
We will not be signing Gordon as he has no responded fully to the treatment giving to him, if he was totally fit then there would be other clubs willing to offer him a deal (contract) not a pay as you play including Rangers, have we not learned anything in the past? About injury prone players? Kevin kyle for example just to name 1 out of many.

Charles Green returns to Rangers as a consultant - London Stock exchange
Believable41

I just can't believe that Green is back in any capacity. I know your post is true, but this is unbelievable

Thought this was a joke. But no, tis true. Unbelievable. I was wondering who was going to raise the flag.
Agree0

Welcome back "The Chuckmeister" season bk sales must be good, he's back for his wedge, remember his quote about "BIG HANDS" you just can"t keep the SPIV down. When will the comedy stop?
Agree1
Disagree0
And so the "milking" of the club and it's money will continue.
The question should be asked and answered how much is this "consultant" going to cost us in fees and expenses?
Wish the majority of the fans would WAKE UP we are being taken for a ride by Green and the rest of them.
Agree0
Disagree0
Why unbelievable? The guy has been pulling the strings from the background all along. There is a lot more unrest to come from this sorry stewardship, I am afraid. One day we will have an owner with clubs' interests at heart, but I fear not for a number of years.
Agree1
Disagree0
Who is kidding who here the snake never left, get them all out, trash the lot of them, and off course whyte had nothing to do with the newco, he had everything to do with bringing green to the table, he would never have been there otherwise, there just scum
Agree0

Lets hope he has answers to links with whyte and those tapes

I'm close to waving the white flag, really can't take much more of this.

Walter and Ally have been saying vey nice things about Green's man Craig Mather recently.
Obviously speaking with forked tongues.
Agree0
Disagree0
Does this mean the end for McCoist - its well documented Green wants shot of him! the only way to take our club back is to cancel our direct debits in order to get shot of leeches like Green.
Agree0

This circus has got to stop. Just when things are looking up. BANG, another painful twist of the knife in our backs. You have to ask yourself how genuine rangers men like walter smith and ally mccoist can sit there knowing what these guys are doing to the fans. I for one think we should make our feelings perfectly clear starting with anti charles green banners and chanting tomorrow at forfar. NO MORE LIES GET GREEN OUT.

@ op that's a whopper mate mccoist doesn't like him and am sure a lot of fans wouldn't want him either

I thought Him and Ali Didn't see eye2eye which was why he left? Would like to see him back to fulfill his potential. but just can't see it happening
Agree0

Yeah, Fleck & McCoist hate each other - that might delay the deal some what? Pete
Agree1

No Fleck, McCabe, Ness. When all the players left, the Davis's, Bocanegra etc, you could understand it, even although it hurt. They had international careers to look after. They were at an age that dropping to div three was unrealistic. However the young ones hurt much more, it was their chance to become legends. To stick by the club that gave them so much. Particularly Ness, here is a guy who was always injured, who took money year after year when not playing. Now he and the others will never be heard of again. They will languish in lower divisions in England. Hell mend them all I say.
Frankly I would rather have a dose of the clap than see any of them back.
Agree1

Fleck was a cracking player when he broke through taking on players and beating them then mccoist and smith changed him, they way he plays like passing to the person that's closest to him

Flecky ain't coming back to Rangers. I can gaurentee that.
