At times last night it just felt like it was either one pass to many or just not picking the right past in the final third although i'am more than sure that is down to new players and new ways of playing. Loved watching alfredo bob his head back and forward to us singing his name though and his VAR claim to the ref. He actually looks like he is enjoying it and i think a happy alfredo is a danger to any team.

Really pleased with the progress we have made so far. Defence looks solid and I think we are growing in confidence going forward.
I can hardly remember us scoring any headed goals last season and that’s now 5 in the last three games (I think)
We are a much stronger team in the air as well as confident on the ground.
I like our strength in midfield and like most can’t wait for Lego to go flying about in the old form games this year.

I feel we still have a lot of gelling to do and could do with an easier first game than away to Aberdeen.
I agree we look solid at the back but we still don't dictate play in midfield and the front players are not working as a unit.

There has been a lot said recently about disagrees and how they must be Celtic fans. In the interest of honesty and transparency, I would like to hold my hand up and say that I disagreed with bigandy's post simply because I do not believe in the concept of 'gelling' and hit disagree to every post I see which mentions it. Too often, recently, it has been used as an excuse by 'head in the sand' supporters.

That was an outstanding performance McShagger deserved a clean sheet the CB’s worked well Morelos made a nuisance of himself the hole team worked really hard and showed real hunger Jack stood up and showed he is the defensive mid we have all been wanting but what I am loving with this squad is the completion for places and having a strong bench which will improve when players return from injury but a backup centre half is required.

Morelos was absolute class tonight. His overall forward play and work rate was sensational. He created 5 chances for us by holding the ball in and laying it off. Last year he would have tried to have gone himself but his teamwork was brilliant tonight. He is clearly learning under Gerrard.

Really pleased with most of our play tonight. Some very good performances by our players. Thought allan McGregor, connor goldson, nikola katic were superb but my man of the match was ryan jack, who was simply outstanding tonight! Terrific midfield performance from jack! He was immense in the challenge, done the defensive midfield work superbly, what a superb pass for morelos in the first half, in particular! Jack broke play and started play for us terrifically well! A midfield masterclass imo from jack!

Totally agree with most of the comments lads, while we lacked the cutting edge again last night we more than made up for it in workrate to a man. Allan McGregor will prove to be our best signing I feel, we are only 4 competitive games in and he has countless match changing stops on record. How often would we have folded in the last 3 seasons had any one of them went in. Wee mention for Coulibaly also whose engine is unbelievable up and down all night, he will just get better and better. Every man on the pitch should be proud of their performance last night and the goal at the end was so cruel on them, that performance deserved the win and the clean sheet.
On a side note, that’s the strongest our bench has looked in years and how refreshing it is that we could bring in 3 or 4 for Sunday to freshen it up! 3pts on Sunday now, LETSGO!

Negri pal, i did also agree with everything gerrard said regarding his post match interview. But we all said travelling home in the car, that jack was absolutely outstanding and that was before hearing our manager's post match interview! You either believe me or not mate, that's up to you. It was pretty easy to see how good ryan jack played against osijek!

The bench did look strong from an attacking point of view.
However what would have happened if one of the CH had got injured or sent off, there was no cover on the bench
To me it highlighted the need for a new CH to be brought in.
Anyway what a performance from Ryan Jack he was immense.

Good to get through last night but think ejiera is to lightweight and tries to be to fancy for Scottish football, Tavernier is no defender and no captain, we need a new left back and move Flanagan to the right and make goldston captain.

personally, I think, This is a kid who missed six months at the back end of last season. I am delighted with Ryan's performance,
we've got a good type on my hands there. He's a player who cares, who wants to win and is prepared to go out and do exactly what you've asked of him.
I think he made one minor mistake during 90 minutes in a big football match. As a midfielder, I was jealous of Ryan's performance tonight.

I'd like to mention candieas performance last night. What a difference having him vs Murphy down the right. His work rate helped nullify their obvious threat from their left, and he helped tav out, as he should. Tav, as a result had a great game too, as did they all to varying degrees.
I think Jack just shaded motm for me, what a ball through for morelos. Onwards and upwards. Let's go.

I reckon we do miss someone really creative between midfield and attack. Personally don’t like the look of Ejaria. Looks a bomb scare although I think Rossiter will make a big diff when he gets back and maybe Dorrans can get back to his best. Brilliant to be through though.

Don't know how good they are. Beat psv home and away last year pretty sure I read they didn't lose a game in europa league last year? They were a good side n it took 2 deflections for them to score over 2 legs. We could have scored 4 or 5 ourselves last night.

He came out in an interview and said there was no contact, he did say he and Gerrard have the same agent, he also dismissed all the internet rumours saying it happens to him with other clubs every window.
