The HMRC have taken 2.3m out of rangers frozen side account! There will be no appeal due to incurring court costs etc! Expect jelavic , davis , fleck to leave in the next few days ,
There will be no big bids for players maybe one or two loan deals!......AS

Who gives a fk about Fleck he is not up to it and never has been.
Another case of the auld pals act at Rangers.

Omg what tosh I mean really , you can't dip into a frozen account like some sort of piggy bank omg such nonsense you need court orders etc geez

Oafff that's a sair wan if that's true!

This is the money already frozen due to CW's refusal to pay.It wasdue around the middle of December although there was a rumour that Rangers were going to launch a last minute appeal. This cash would have been transferred to HMRC automaticallly after being frozen for 14 weeks. It wasonly ever going to go to HMRC or an insolvency practicioner after it was frozen so we would just as well have paid the bill.
we're fighting for our life with the big tax bill. All CW achieved here is to make HMRC more likely to treat us more harshly when penalties are discussed(and they will be).
Agree0
Disagree0
These funds can't be touched by either party without agreement on both sides or court action. This is just mischief making.
Agree0
Disagree0
What absolute tosh! Fleck played today for about the 3rd time this season, and was good. Created a number of chances, and I don't remember him giving the ball away.
Agree0
Disagree0
How can someone take money that has been frozen.surely the money has been frozen for a reason and awaiting the outcome of any court cases.im only seventeen and even I can work this out.I suppose some people are just born stupid.
Agree0
Disagree0
HMRC can't touch the money without a court order, considering the courts are closed till tomorrow, your talking mince...........
Agree0
Disagree0
This is complete tosh. The arrestment would be on dependance of an action, that would require to go through the courts. The funds will remin frozen until the crown win or loose this action or an agreement is reached between the two parties.
Agree0
Disagree0
They can't dip into a frozen account without the court's permission lol. Otherwise they would just help themselves. Think before you post
Agree0
Disagree0
They got the courts permission in August. That's why sherriffs officers were at Ibrox. After 14 weeks arrested, the money automayically transfers to HMRC.This is nothing to do with the big case,It's a smaller bill that CW agreed to pay as part of the take over then reneged, only paying £500k then stopping.HMRC got a court order to arrest the balance. This is what they've taken.
Agree0
Disagree0
Anybody who's had dealings with hmrc will tell you they can do what they want when they want and can seize, arrest or ringfence anything they want under a barrage of tax compliance rules.whyte is making things worse behaving like some chancer who dznt seem to know truuth from lies.i thought sueing the bbc would prove to us all he was the real deal, still no proceedings against them n then to say he forgot he was barred is just inept at best and not what the owner of rangers should be saying
Agree0
Disagree0
Its called an Escrow account. No cash can be withdrawn without written authorisation by both parties. Put your crayons away Timmy
Agree0
Disagree0
Why do you idiots not wake up and smell the coffee. HMRC went to the courts 14 weeks ago and got all the permissions they need. Having won their case HMRC then had the money frozen so we could not spend it. After 14 weeks the money automatically transfers to HMRC, no further court orders needed. Come on guys, heads out the sand. We are deep in the s**t. {Ed001's Note - how can it automatically transfer over after 14 weeks? That makes no sense. It would either transfer over on conclusion of the court case or not at all, but not after 14 weeks.}
Agree0
Disagree0
That's the rules Ed. it's mentioned in this non-football news site
www.scotzine.com/2011/09/bank-of-scotland-act-on-hmrc-arrestment-order-against-rangers/
We are in deep doo doo and most of us seem to be blindly accepting our fate and burying our heads in the sand. One day we'll wake up and find its too late. {Ed001's Note - that says nothing about them taking money, merely ringfencing it. Totally different things, this story is nonsense, the money is in what amounts to an ESCROW account pending settlement of the court case.}
Agree0
Disagree0
Think you need to re-read that Ed. Especially the bit where it says "They are obliged to freeze an amount equal to the total of the original debt, any surcharge or penalties detailed in the Summary Warrant, as well as Sheriff Officer fees. The arrested funds are held for 14 weeks and then automatically released to the creditor.â€
Can't you see that the court case was settled in early September in favour of HMRC. It was widely reported at the time in most media outlets. You can also go back and check the court records online too. {Ed001's Note - I think you need to learn basic English, since when does freezing an amount equate to paying it out?}
Agree0
Disagree0
The sums frozen where due to an arrestment being served. This arrestment was upon dependance of an action, meaning a future action. If there case was proven there would be no need to freeze they could just take! The whole basis of the original post was mischief.

Would like Gers to sell Jelavic if 7 mill is roughly what they get then 3 players I would like get are Lewis McGugan from Notts Forrest, Nicky Maynard from Bristol and Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield. Maynard and McGugan are available and should be around 3 - 3.5 mill for both.

Rangers will be looking for cheap players, loans, frees and one 2-3million signing if jelavic goes for £7million!
Possible :O'Connor, Riordan, Sandaza, Templeton, Driver, Boyd, Novo, Strutter, Swanson, loan for rafael/fabio, loan for mcreachen, free -materazzi, and Billy sharp or rickie lambert for £2million? Obviously not all of them, maybe 4? Any opinion s people?

I'm a rangers man and it's defo doing the rounds by my place. Not the worst signing rangers cld make. We need to start being realistic as we aren't gonna b signing the calibre of players from years gone by or that we crave. It's gonna b tried and tested players or some up and coming players that will poss have a good sell on value. i.e jelavic........

There is rumours going about that Jelavic has a 7 Million clause in his contract.
If that is so then it does not matter how many teams want to buy him they will only need to offer 7 million and rangers can't reject the offer . I f 1 team offers 7 million there would be no point in another team offering 7.5 as the team at 7 million will be accepted also . so then it will be up to who Jelavic wants to sign for .
So if the rumours are true then we will not get any more than 7 million and we still have to give Rapid 1.5 million we have still to pay them.
What do you think Bears .
Believable7

Naismith wouldnt pass a medical at Villa so theres no chance big eck would take a player who wouldnt do them a turn this season anyway plus they have strikers and a not bad midfield so i doubt theyd want naisy Davis on the other hand has been linked with them since Mcleish took over so i really dont know about that one

Was at the game and in one word we were mince! I am normally extremely positive and defensive of any players being chastised, but that was total garbage today. So bad that Craigen had to smack one in he net out of sympathy!!
I always defend Edu, as I do not like to see Gers being abused. However that was an abysmal display, Sone has no final ball or understanding as when to make a pass. There were positives though, Fleck looked good, not great but he has no game time, so if given a chance I would play him ahead of most! Wallace worked tirelessly but lacks some pace. Healy just is not the answer and Lafferty is clearly not fit! It's gonna take some hugely positive news regarding case and a miracle in the transfer market to sort this out.
Saddened by my feelings and attitude today but what we witnessed today and over the last four or five games is worrying.

Glad fleck got a chance today and id like to see the rest of the young boys get a chance ahead of the mince mccoist seems to swear by. wheres ness gone? hemmings bendiksen perry?????. play fleck in his position rather than on the wing and the boy will come good.
Agree0
Disagree0
Dont rate aluko at all he is greedy and he needs to move the ball much faster.
Agree0
Disagree0
Sorry guys I have to disagree with comments regarding Flecks performance today.
I like every bluenose have been waiting for Flecky to show just a glimpse of the ability he possessed as a youngster and a couple of decent passes coupled with 1 that goes out park, 1 that is behind player and another that Linford Christie couldn't catch and he was a contender for M.O.M?
I like every other bluenose have gave Edu pelters for the majority of 2011 but he NEVER hides and ALWAYS gives 100% not saying effort with no quality is ok but his performances recently have been far better than quality players like Jelavic and Davis who appear to be Non interested.
Get Fleck out on loan he need to play to progress as a player or he will always be a nearly man, not all doom and gloom for a team that had lost last 2, had No Lafferty, Naismith or Jelavic we were easy winners and comfortable throughout
theglasgowranger
Agree0
Disagree0
Absolutely ryt. Davies has been well off. Edu has been ok but nothing special. Fleck has brilliant
Agree0
Disagree0
Gdog what were you watching?
Solid movement of the ball from back to front quick and direct. Wallace had the full back for pace everytime he was played in at the right time. Davis had fight back about him and was hunting and demanding the ball all game. Healy is an out and out striker and was in brillant positions all day brilliant hold up and brought the midfielders into attack perfectly. Aluko may be a touch greedy at times but is brilliant with it at his feet and was drawing 2-3 Motherwell players whenever he picked the ball up creating space.
As for any edu bashers he was my motm today. Had a gd touch rarely gave it away needlessly won back and chased down. As already said he never hides. Made a bucketload of chances winning the ball high up the park including the first goal.
Without a big man up front we were forced to use the ball better and proved ourselves well with one of our best performances of the year.
Agree0

Well I was at a different game from you my friend!! EVERY first touch Edu made was heavy and lacked control. As for not hiding there was several times in the game where he clearly did not want the ball. Totally agree with Wallace, but he still lacks great pace. Healy did well but is most definitely NOT a long term solution to our striker issues. The first half had none of the football you were describing apart from Wallace. Motherwell were rank rotten and could not string more than 5 passes together and offered nothing up front! Only in the second half did Davis demand the ball more and drive at the defence. Not chastising Davis like most people seem to be at the moment just making point about yesterday. The second goal was decent football from us and there was no doubt Fleck, Healy and Sone started to understand each other a bit better. A good game this was clearly not. A good result? Absolutely. After sleeping on it im not sure if Jelly is off?

The reply above - That is my replay above yours (GDogs) I forgot to sign off.
As I stated I am happy with the result, however the performances are not good at all. Morale , confidence will be battered at the moment, and there will most likely be no money to give us a boost.
ALL ADDS UP TO NOT GOOD.

Jelavic, bendiksen and wylde out - £9-10million! Boyd, Dorrans, Sandaza/O'Connor/Riordan, richard foster/scott strutter, novo in - £4-5million! Any thoughts fellow bluenoses? Also a great performance today from Rangers!

Sandaza, O'Connor, Riordan, Foster. All NOT good enough. Will be a disgrace if we sign ANY of them. Season ticket will be binned if any of them come in.

Take Boyd back kidd any chance of the league goodbye, he cannot create is only good at tap ins, you lose goals for the rest of the team just setting him up. A similar type of player to Jelavic is needed.
Agree0

I think we should be going for jamie murphy and david templeton. Would mkae an excellent pair and would link up well with boyd IMO as he wouldn't have to move!
Agree0

WBA have said that dorrans wont be allowed to leave at all - sky sports
and st johnstone have already put a 2.5m price tag on sandanza and as i have said before we wanted foster in summer and aberdeen wanted 2m for him so now he is getting a game and is captain they will want 2-4m and he not worth that

Jelavic has not trained since the old firm with a groin injury. Even for the old firm he was doubtful. This is why he was out of the squad today.

Heard he wasnt even in the stadium

Thats why they said it was a knee injury then?
Agree0

No, it was a groin injury, as stated by Ally Mcoist in the post-match interveiw on Clyde 1 radio.
Agree0

No its because he is in a transfer procedure and the team dont want him injured

I'm no Gers fan. Heard yesterday from a reliable source in Edinburgh that either O'Conner or Sandaza will be approached to replace Mr Jelavic, who is away on wed/thurs.

If either of them sign won't be back at Ibrox. Both are junk.

I agree. Jelavic has been poor recently and I'd be delighted to get £7m or £8m for him, but O'Connor and Sandaza as replacements? Come on. Even getting Steven Thompson back from St Mirren wouldn't be as bad a move and he was crap first time round

Sorry guys, jela is away in january. Was talking to an spl player who used to play for the dark side, he recons kenny mcd said jela knows he is going. Not doing it in training and defo not doing it on the park. Also dorrans says he wont come to scotland to play. Nacho will come back though, thankfully.

Dorrans is desperate to get back up the road to his beloved Rangers so you're talking absolute nonsense.
Also, the Dorrans are expecting their first baby in June and want it to be born in Scotland

I think you might be right jelavic is not in the starting line up or on the bench

He did say he did not want to go to rangers. U know him personally do u? Noticed no jela in team today so looks like my info is not so wrong eh? Im only passing on what i was told so dont come on and say im talking rubbish or whatever. Waz told this by 2 different people. 1 a player, 1 a scout.

Ed, can you please clarify why tottenham owe us some money, and how much the fee that they owe us is please? {Ed014's Note - The only thing I can think of it being is something to do with the Hutton deal.
Believable9
Unbelievable5
Its near £2 million from the Hutton deal
Agree0
Disagree0
Ed, if that was the case surely Spurs could not sell him to Aston Villa. {Ed001's Note - yes they can, it is a bit like buying a car on the never never, you can sell it, but you still have to carry on paying for it. The FFP ruling has changed the payment terms now, all transfers have to be paid for within a couple of years now. The long term payments are what got Portsmouth into trouble, they were buying all their players on the never never.}
Agree0
Disagree0
Ed if i am not mistaken you cannot sell a car if it has HP outstanding on it, the original company owed money is still the owner , think that applies to all debt {Ed001's Note - I am not sure thinking about it, they normally don't do true HP any more, it is usually a loan you get. So my example was probably the wrong one, you may be right.}
Agree0
Disagree0
Spurs still owe us 3.7m for hutton deal 1.4m is for us training him ect and the rest is to do with him playing for suprs ect thats why spurs are willing to give us a player on loan to reduce the money owed thats why im so angry we cant afford players but they still owe us that cash!
Agree0

Cant we take them to court for our money. It would make it a change for us.
