Is it not about time that the finger is pointed at the guilty. All we get are biased opinions on a matter that is basically deceipt and fraud. Forget about UEFA dictates and SFA, make it up as you go, decisions. Most club officials and fans cannot comment as neutrals, so bring in legal officers who can look at the facts and, if necessary, bring charges in the court. Football should be sorted out on the pitch, 11 versus 11 and the financial cheats should be punished, not the ordinary supporter or the players who wear the jersey.

Believable22 Unbelievable32

It was legal guys in the tribunal and the more in the appeal tribunal and still they were scoffed. If the answer don't fit it's wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

Assuming the 11 on the pitch have been paid for when transferred, are having their PAYE deducted normally and handed over to HMRC. Without those in place, any match is tarnished.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. Basically Rangers' officials have been complicit in defrauding HRMC of PAYE and NI over the past year, let's forget the BTC for the moment. I can't understand why the Fraud Squad has not brought criminal proceedlings against those responsible. Unfortunately it is impossible to separate those decent supporters who pay their money to the club, only to have it fraudulently misused by those in charge. Therefore any sanctions brought against the club must have an adverse effect on all those associated with the club, including the supporters. In my opinion, D@P made a grave error of judgement in involving the Scottish legal system and the administrators should have accepted the transfer embargo. The consequences of their actions could be catastrophic for Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst the supporters of your football club were celebrating titles the supporters of your rivals were crying, your club were CHEATING their way to these titles and as one of the supporters who were crying during your victories I find it very very irritating that I spent my money following a team who were at an unfair disadvantage and was on the opposite terracing getting dos abuse from gloating fans whos club were cheating to allow their fans to gloat!! VEGIEBHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

D&P could have handed over any documentation in rangers on double contracts at any time in 3 months - to bring the double contracts threats to a head...

,,, they did not till the last day possible... ?

why ? this just adds more concerns to potential buyers and limits them ?

The innocent have nothing to hide !

If D&P had handed over docs - or reported that none can be found - issue could have been resolved months ago...

now it will drag on over the summer - due to d&p, therefore due to rangers!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fans are not being punished. they are free to go and support any other team they wish.

Agree0 Disagree0

The people running the club cheated, why do you all make out its Rangers (the club) and supporters. We all found out about this last year the same as all the haters, so it's not as if we were celebrating knowing all this.
Scottish football ain't in this state because of Rangers, it is in this state because our league is s**t and has only ever been 2 teams in it for the last 20 years bar the year hearts came 2nd, before anyone comments on others leagues where two teams dominate I.e la liga where 3rd-10th place is still super competitive usually. Our league isn't and we pay more than most other nations to watch football. 18 team league and some real investment In infrastructure is the way and free to under 14's. I reckon this would encourage more adults to actually pay if their kid goes free cos it's a bloody expensive day out.

I agree with most that regardless of how long it take we should pay all of our debts in full but the small creditors first, as in my opinion they are most in need.

Leeroy

Agree0 Disagree0

A Law Lord was part of the panel who made a decision and it was Rangers who appealed their decision. So bringing in legal people does not seem to make any difference if Rangers do not like the decision made. Clearly, they and their supporters believe that they are above the law and that they are somehow special. They are not!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet more people putting the onus on Rangers for D&P's incompetence, I know this is business and that's just how it works but at the same time you all want us hammered with full debt etc but in BUSINESS that's NOT how it works.

Contradicting much?

As I have already said I would prefer to pay back all debts but ain't gonna work like that unfortunately.
Just so people know I was on the receiving end of not being paid tens of thousands for work my company did for another company and thus I had to liquidate my company as couldn't pay for company vehicles, plant etc and I got taken to court and made bankrupt. The blame lies solely with SDM (sorry he only deserves DM if that) and the old board, and the current mr shyte. Not us fans or the club directly

Leeroy
It's a tough world out there

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with transfer embargo and the fine too incidentally. Just realised I missed that out my post, 100% it was a fair punishment even though it wasn't in guidelines, but haters are right we shouldn't be allowed to spend money on players regardless of the amount if we can only pay 9p in £ for CVA (less if BTC goes bad) yet D&P get 5m for their incompetent operations and blatant lies, it's just a panto

Leeroy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok lets point the finger at the guilty,do you believe that any player recieving a e.b.t did not know what they were doing,so when it is proven that rangers have done wrong, the players will be guilty,Simple's

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course they must have known. If you were to be paid say 1k a week tax man will take his 45% then ni. But your employer says oh we have a scheme were you put money in here and receive it back tax free, what would you do? That's not me saying its morally right but every self employed person adjusts their expenses and thus evades paying extra tax as the expenses come off earnings. Regardless of the amount its evasion dressed up as avoidance. Every business does it also (although I doubt to this extent inc the NHS) so let's be honest the whole country is technically corrupt and rotten to the core.

Before anyone says anything I'm not trying to deflect blame elsewhere at all. The people running the club at the time and the benefactors are all guilty as sin but then again most benefactors probably trusted DM was right about it being legal. But yeah Guilty and I'm happy to accept the punishment and just put this behind us, start again and this time be fan owned somehow and most importantly run above board

Rumour that FIFA pushing to extend current European ban irrespective of coming out of administration and apply European transfer ban for next season as punishment for D&P going to Court of Session. This would be on top of SFA banning Gers from Scottish Cup for next season.

Believable28 Unbelievable26

Whatever they are doing they will keep it close to their chest and make sure that they do not get their lines of action crossed with the SFA.

Agree0 Disagree0

As my old papa used to say "my heart bleeds purple p1sh fer you"

Agree0 Disagree0

What a quaint old man

Agree0 Disagree0

Being banned from scottish cup was not an option. the no transfer was a watered down decision as against the rule books expulsion. bdeuff & phelps really shafted rangers on this issue. FIFAS invlvement looks as if it will be expulsion or at least banned for mimimum of 1 year. Discuss

Agree0 Disagree0

Sometimes I think Duff and Phelps are the cause of our problems and not the solution.

Agree0 Disagree0

All this Pish talk that you have to accept uefa as the high and mighty is fair enough if the punishment fits the crime, but as soon as they over step the Mark and basically shut our club down then you have to go to court , please don't spin me that yarn about they have final decision, that argument only stacks up until you start to put people out of work in a manor that smacks of down right bullying, we are not perfect far from it , but if the Swiss fa had grown a set and took it all the way we might not be having this argument,we all abide by the laws of the land, not puppet courts who's only purpose is to make them untouchable

Agree0 Disagree0

Talking of punishment fitting the crime, We were a baw hair off match fixing. I think the SFA went light on us. Everyone has to abide by the rules of the game and we are no different. End of.

Agree0 Disagree0

(puppet courts)
Your club signed up to play by the rules of the puppet court as did all clubs ,so why not pull out if you think it is not fair to play by rules ALL clubs agreed to

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree that duff & phelps are not helping matters. i am a celtic fan and want to celtic to be playing rangers 4 times at least next season but i know that the fans are not to blame to there predicament but the club have to be severeley punished.scottish football gets enough flack without all this IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

To celtic fan - with cups and league there are tooo many old firm games a season already. There could be 7-8 with replays!

Scottish football is not about just two teams - GERS could have lost just one cup a year and made the dreams of others teams!! without any real effect on GERS (54 titles!! etc etc - more than enough trophies).

Celtic and GERS winning all events - its pointless and led to more admin and basket case clubs - thats the root of all evil in scottish football.

Back to grass roots, stop the kids only playing FIFA football - get them back in the streets with a real ba'

Get all teams in SPL having REAL change of trophies and see that re-invigorate the game!!

Dont want to see celtic go on 9 year league run - but lets see hib/hearts/etc win something - rather than this once in 100 years we have now!

Agree0 Disagree0

Banned out of european comps per year cost 10 mil plus per year(if on a good run!) scottish cup we sometimes cost ourselves to play in it ie highland league club away compaired to player to wages.( Arbroath last year!)
We could in fact save money not being involved.
We have to stop f"""ing about with the SFA, SPL only real money is in European football without it we are really screwd.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will its up to hibs/hearts etc to knock us out the cup games they did this season. canni see rfc spending millions on players for a while and celtic have not done either. so scottish football is not just about us

Agree0 Disagree0

D&P are certainly not the cause of your problems. It could be argued that they have not helped but it is Rangers FC who screwed everyone that they have came into contact with including their own fans! {Ed039's Note - They came into a mess and made it worse for sure, but had we been run properly in the first place then they wouldnt have had a look in)

Agree0 Disagree0

To many dummys on here, they cant see the wood for the trees. Its fifa and uefas ball if they dont want you to play you wont .You effed it up by going to THE CIVIL COURTS,take the medicine, whats the newco team going to be called?GOVAN RANGERS,RANGERS OF IBROX FC,ZOMBIE FC,LOVIN IT.

Read a letter from Duff and Phelps earlier. It was sent to another member of my lodge down in Liverpool. It stated that a shareholders insolvency meeting would convene on monday, followed by a CVA meeting of sorts. Believe it or not, that's what I read.

Didn't realise Travelodge were shareholders in RFC Plc

Rangers forward Lee McCulloch fears exodus over release clauses.

Rangers forward Lee McCulloch admits release clauses in some of his team-mates' contracts could be "a big problem" for the club.
Several members of the Ibrox squad negotiated terms that allow them to leave for cut-price offers as part of a temporary wage cut deal in March.

Believable24 Unbelievable7

Why post what we have known for a long time ?

Agree0 Disagree0

From inside the camp itself.
Inevitable.
Exodus = a large number leaving a place they lived in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he will not be going anywhere hes an old dud!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jig has been a hero through this whole situation - he'll stick about and play for free if he has to. Real fans appreciate that stuff.

02 Jun 2012 14:29:16
will someone explain to me the process of temporary suspension? would they come bakck to league after 6 months ? how the f**k will that work? {Ed039's Note - I was asking the other Eds the same question and I dont think there is a precedent for it so unsure really)

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Imposible to suspend for half a season (Teams who did not play against R woud want points. Any team who played against R and did not win would want 3 points) Suspension from SPL for a year? Do 2 clubs get relegated at end of year from SPL,1st and 2nd Divs to let R back in? Any suspension and it would have to be back in at the bottom in 3rd Div. This is what most football fans on other web sites want.

Agree0 Disagree0

Basically we'd forfeit every game for 6 months. Our opponents would just be awarded 3 points.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently every team that plays us gets awarded 3 points and when we come back in it goes back to normal. but other clubs would complain

Agree0 Disagree0

What i understand is the SPL is a different legal entity, so they would still be able to compete in the SPL, however they would not be allowed to sign players as they need to register with the SFA, not play in Europe, they are banned anyway, and they would not be allowed to compete in the scottish cup
however any scottish player who plays for rangers would not be allowed to play for scotland
thats my understanding of the situation
so basically its a transfer ban for the duration of the suspension for any player, and a cup ban for the duration

Agree0 Disagree0

This would basically be unworkable fixture wise and make a mockery of the SPL
but it couldnt happen in any case because we could not pay players to sit at home for 6 months that would be ridiculous where would the wages come from? non-starter

Agree0 Disagree0

Suspended for 6 months isn't going to sell many season tickets now is it

Agree0 Disagree0

That's why it's a one year suspension.
It's unavoidable. It has to be this as a minimum.
Anything less is a football association devoid of integrity.

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon the SFA should relegate us to the first division, that would give us a year away from lining the pockets of the SPL clubs and their fans would be satisfied with that level of punishment - we'll be fairly goosed for the next year or so anyway, so I think that could be a way out for Rangers and the SFA.
Billy

Agree0 Disagree0

An 11-game suspension then? All the other teams are "gifted" 3 points for the missed fixture. Of course, there will then be arguments about home/away advantage in the remaining games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, lining pockets, the clubs only play you twice a year. Rangers have broken so many rules that i expect fifa will stop you competing in the spl.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the SFA actually grew a pair, they could easily force the SPL to kick you out by threatening to exclude their teams from the Scottish Cup and withhold European Football from them for the coming season and award it to the winners of SFL1 as it is they who decide who goes thru to represent them.

Not many turkeys would vote for that scenario and the SPL would have to protect their other members interests rather than that of one team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done Billy, it numpties like you who will continue to drag Rangers name through the mud.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clubs only play us twice a year mate wake up its three times and four for those who finish in the top six providing rangers are there of course

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely any suspension (I don't get the 6 months) would basically mean all games would be 0-3 and NIL points.
Relegation to SFL1 only.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way a 6 mo ban could work. If it's a ban we receive, then it'll have to be for a whole season...minimum

Agree0 Disagree0

See Scotland on Sunday main football story on website. Their examination of all the financial implications of no Rangers in Scottish football is that it would have very very little effect. Only big loser would be Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

I need to spell it out - two games at home.
if rangers did not exist one or two extra friendlies for Celtic would make up the difference. The other clubs only have to make up the income for 2 rangers games a year,. nothing really.

Agree0 Disagree0

To See Scotland on Sunday a very interesting point that you raise. Another point that should be raised is how much have Clubs suffered financially through Rangers not playing by the financial rules - it must run into millions for Clubs like Hearts, Celtic, Dundee United and others even some of the smaller teams have probably lost over £1,000,000. The money these teams lost went straight into Rangers coffers. Its an indefensible disgrace.

Apologies if I've missed this, but in the comparisons between the CVA and Liquidation/Newco approach, I've seen it written that RFC assets (primarily Ibrox and Murray Park) would be "transferred" to any newco. Surely they would have to be sold by the administrators (to the highest bidder) in order to get as much money for the creditors as possible? That being the case, the liquidation route would surely provide more money for the creditors than a CVA?

Believable34 Unbelievable7

100% correct.

You've just described the requirement of insolvency law wrt liquidation.
But this isn't the agenda. They hate this scrutiny stopping them getting away with dodgy deals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I don't quite get that either, Duffers did say that a deal in place for £5m to buy assets if CVA not accepted.
I don't believe that can be legal, as creditors they have a duty to get best deal for creditors and how do they know Greens offer is the best available, another thing that is so unclear.

Agree0 Disagree0

Something stinks here. Today we are told there is money to pay players 100% wages. Why is that not going to the creditors? I can just about understand HMRC not going public on the dodgy CVA and theft of assets but why have Ticketus and some others with thousands at stake not piped up. How can you take £110 m of assets away for £5m?

Agree0 Disagree0

TBH I don't think they would get as much for the assets sold separately in a liquidation scenario. It's not like there's a high demand for people wanting to buy football stadiums and training grounds, the only reason you are going to buy it is with the intention of setting up a football club which is what is going to require the major investment so no one is going to pay through the nose and offer more for the assets than they would for the CVA which means they don't have to go through the effort and extra costs of setting up a newco and transferring memberships etc. On another note, with Ibrox anyway, it's not like it can be bought to redevelop the land because the facade is a listed building so can't be demolished.

Agree0 Disagree0

In 3 months no one offered more than Green !

Its cost £5 million in admin fees so far - if liquidation that another £5 million....

soon D&P will own whats left of GERS

Agree0 Disagree0

All the above is true, how can 5m buy the lot.

If liquaidation is the new road then surely it goes to the highest bidder? Not 5m lol

Yes it's a listed building but so was my old school & so was high bury doesnt stop Barrett & miller homes etc buying it. Let's be honest govan could be the new gorbals.

Agree0 Disagree0

The facade is listed. Just like at Highbury...

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you seen highbury square recently?

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows this is an attempt at yet another carve up! You should know your screwed when FS is in the wings waiting for HMRC to be fisted before he gets in in the action!

I no longer predict anything in the debacle but I'll hazard two possible show stoppers!

1. HMRC accept a cva with relation to the present tax case and on exiting admiration present the bill for the big one. The next administrators won't be appointed by Mr Green!

2. The CVA fails, and it really should given the assets to be disposed compared to what's on offer, and a new 'saviour' appears to pick on the carcass.

Either way if this gets through, and then investment flows into the club I'll be amazed if it's not the start of a rush of clubs signing up with D&F and CW, they will have. Ren legends for you bears.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only the facade is a listed. as long as that was kept they could rip the rest of it down.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely people are not trying to suggest Ibrox and Murray park are worth only 5.5 million. They must have at least three times that value. I think this is a stitch up which was a long time in the planning

Agree0 Disagree0

If the club is liquidated surely the players alone are worth more as assets than the paltry several million on offer! If all assets are sold off surely the players are included in that sale, thats before the bricks and mortar are sold off! No matter what angle you look at this thing from, it stinks to the high heavens, i mean how can D&P justify paying 25K to Mcgregor, 20K to Whittaker per week and not give it to creditors. Also they havent payed off a single player since they got here......first administrator in history not to do that!! Corruption springs to mind!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

If/when the cva is rejected the players become free agents and cannot be compelled to take employment with Newco.
Green has the exclusive right but not the obligation to purchase the assets for £5.5m in the event of liquidation. It does seem an incedibly small amount with the unsecured creditors getting next to nothing.
Yesterday's announcement from D&P regarding players wages reffered to SALE which suggests they do not expected the CVA to go through. No SALE if CVA successfull.

Agree0 Disagree0

What I dont get is that Duff and Phelps value Ibrox at less than 5 million. David Murray valued it as more than 100 million. If you ask me both assessments must be preposterous. I don't know how they get away with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Secured creditors are owed £40 million and must be paid before any creditors in a liquidation HMRC + TICKETUS would receive very little after they were paid if atall

Agree0 Disagree0

What if ticketus were guaranteed their investment from cw ?

HMRC will not care what they get, they just need to set an example so nobody else tries to exploit taxation for their own benefit. The Rangers team over the last decade or more were winning countless trophies and prize money fielding teams that were only affordable because they were not paying tax.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ibrox valued over £100million was yet another accountiing wheeze - to puff up the book.

No-one will pay full price for ibrox, its a fire-sale at best - so pennies in the pound (and this is the real steal from GERS fan) all this value being taken ......

fairer value is £20-£30 million as a 50,000 seater stadium - good to go for concerts for fitba matches....

But who will buy that in a recession ?

Rangers fans could together buy the stadium - but they could barely get £200,000 together.....

glum times.

os if best offer on table is loan of £8 million - it wins the pot.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC have to get as much as they can, i have said since the start of this that Rangers are a test case and when HMRC win, they will go to the clubs in England that have been using EBTs and go through their books with a fine toothcomb, and if there is one mistake they will hammer them for millions using rangers as the example. Also Ibrox is worth a lot more than 5 million, for gods sake its right at the edge of the city centre, has an underground station near to it, close to the motorway some developer will buy the place!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody seems to realise that the "Assets" namely Ibrox stadium and Murray park, are protected, there is No mechanism for those to be included in any CVA or liquidation scenario !

Aluko to Crystal Palace. The exodus has begun!

Believable21 Unbelievable51

Aluko is no longer contracted to Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck to you son!

Agree0 Disagree0

Really? After a brilliant season he moves to Crystal Palace. Nice try son

Agree0 Disagree0

Where r u hearing this, best player over last 6 months

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he meant hamilton palace to be fair;0)

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he's moving to Newco United

Agree0 Disagree0

His contract is up sometime soon (it may have finished on the last day of the season, but it may be 1st July), so he can do what he likes. I think Ally has stressed that he wants to keep him but it's dependant on the CVA, ultimately.

That being said, i think personally Aluko can do better than Palace (no disrespect as they have a big reputation) in footballing terms. Could see him in a newly promoted prem side, or possibly the swans or baggies. Muzz

Rumour RFFF money to be spent on delivering players wages over next 6 weeks until CVA complete.

Sandy and Walter approved RFFF funds to pay for court of session QC on transfer embargo appeal. Then on new turf. Now paying to keep team intact. {Ed039's Note - Doubt there is enough money there for that)

Believable8 Unbelievable29

Rangers were awarded costs by the courts also.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rangers have enough money to pay full salaries up to CVA then why did the fighting fund pay for turf and a QC? That money was from supporters to small creditors, as a demonstration of fan compassion. It's supposed to be compassionate money.

Agree0 Disagree0

That just meant the SFA had to pick up the tab.

Agree0 Disagree0

So now ordinary rangers fans are paying wages to extremely wealthy footballers in the close season. I think we have all lost our minds

Agree0 Disagree0

Fans always pay the salaries of footballers. We also pay the monies to RV companies.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't worry about that m8 these guys salaries don't figure in any business plan model going forward. They are assets with a value for sale to bring in cash now.

Agree0 Disagree0

SFA picking up tab for Rangers legal fees won't enamour SFA to Rangwrs during appeal. Reagan mentioned it cost them money they cannot afford. UEFA don't like fottballing money going out the door to courts and QCs/ lawyers.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2012 09:58:51
The paper says today that rangers and are set to cut a deal with the SFA and one avenue open to the club is to accept a Scottish Cup ban AND offer the SFA a ‘get-out’ to appease FIFA by offering to take a six-month transfer embargo.

If this is the case then why is this acceptable as this is NOT in the list of possible sanctions that rangers have just been to court over.

This would mean it is ok for rangers to get punished with something that is not in the list as long as it is ok with rangers..... talk about making rules up to suit themselfs...

Believable26 Unbelievable15

This story is absolute pesh.
SFA isn't cutting deals. Rangers are in no position to cut deals over anything. Rangers are the guilty party who will sit passively and hear what is being done to them.

What they will get is a one year suspension from playing in Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

All stories seem to be pointing to temporary suspension.
Unfortunately this seems to have been the outcome admin and Green wanted so they won't get blame for Liquidation. Then CVA defo fails. And Green gets assets for £5.5 million. Just renting Ibrox for 5-6 concerts would make him a profit on that.
And how ironic would it be if he sold Murray Park to SFA for Centre of Excellence. Remember they have always said that they can't build houses on it.Smokescreen!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but you are deluded if you think the sfa will put rangers out the game for a year

Agree0 Disagree0

Only the 3 man appeal tribunal can decide the penalty. Led by lord Carloway.

Reagan cannot do deals with green what a load of nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

The current financial situation and takeover is neither here nor there when it comes to punishing Rangers for their premeditated and deliberate breaking of the regulations to benefit rangers to the detriment of others.

To consider once again to go easy on Rangers due to Green's takeover nonsenses would be a considerable failing of the SFA considering they were dragged into court by the offending club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Now how would you know what will happen to us i think what you should have said is you hope we get a one year ban but i cant see that we r guilty as charged and i for one say sorry for that but i can see a one year ban from scottish cup and i still think we were right to go to court the penalty was not in rule book we didnt apeal the guilty verdict only the punishment ;;;; cooperboy

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe the record is stupid enough to go with this. Rangers go to court to prove a punishment was not open to the panel, then accept the same punishment. I think this is panic journalism founded from the fear of FIFA involvement

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course it is acceptable. If rangers accept it then it is ok. This is what FIFA and UEFA are after. If the club accepts the punishment then whatever happens in the court is irrelevant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct rangaers are now dictating to all of scottish football what they will accept as a punishment.UNBELIEVABLE {Ed039's Note - I havent seen the article but did you not read the end of the OP where is says SFA arent playing?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Green going to SFA to cut a deal? What about the integrity of the appellant tribunal and lord Carloway??

Surely this is a worse crime than match fixing? Appeal fixing by the SFA itself?

Agree0 Disagree0

To satisfy FIFA and UEFA, and to show that clubs can't benefit from going to the law courts, any punishment will have to be MORE severe than was previously handed out. There's plainly no point in trying to increase the fine, so that only really leaves suspension of some sort.
That RFC could be suspended and yet a Newco RFC (by whatever backdoor means that happens) could then be seen to be playing next year would also incense FIFA and UEFA.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only if the SFA grant the newco the ability to buy the licence, and even then Member Number 123 will be suspended in any case no matter who owns the bit of paper.

Agree0 Disagree0

In addition to SFA one year suspension, UEFA will order SFA to withhold a euro license for Rangers for 3-5 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

The baws burst. SDM, CW, Souness being paid £30k, wonder if it had anything to do with the £8m recieved from Newcastle. D&P and Green trying to tell the SFA what punishment they will be allowed to give Rangers. You could not make this up.But it ain''t our fault. Aye right, we have set ourselves up for the slaughter.

anyone else getting bored of hearing about sporting integrity from spl chairmen?
the same chairman that wont change league structure to an 18 team spl (as sfa survey showed thats what majority of fans want) because they would only get the old firm at home once a season
very noble mr chairman, were is your sporting intergrity?
the tiger

Believable43 Unbelievable8

Typical Gers fan, doesn't understand what sporting integrity actually means.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty sure it means to do the right thing? which would mean chairmen should give the fans what they want instead of prostituting themselves to the old firm.
the tiger

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if it was an 18 team league then there would be two old firm games a season, home and away

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical Celtic fan, jumps straight onto a rangers thread to feed their obsession. As for the OP, we all know that the chairmen of the spl have no integrity, they see pounds signs and only pounds signs.

Agree0 Disagree0

This has nothing to do with sporting integrity. The structure of the league can be suitable to maximise income yet still have integrity. It is when clubs start cheating sporting integrity becomes something to talk about and hopefully protected. My advice accept your punishment and stop trying to cloud the issue

Agree0 Disagree0

Sporting integrity means that our national sport, football is being run cleanly and above board. That the procedures and processes we have in place are fair and correct and diligently applied evenly without fear or favour. That the people involved in the game are fit and proper and competent to hold the offices they hold. From chairmen of the boards to referees to players and managers. That the governing bodies exercise their powers with balanced judgement and the moral authority and trust given to them by all involved in the game, especially the fans. This is why Rangers need to be suspended. In all fair minded peoples perception justice must be seen to have been served which delivers the expected integrity of the governance system.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Chairmen of the boards represent clubs.
The clubs exist to deliver the expectations of their fan bases.
The fan bases don't want Rangers in the SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont worry about it man, if rangers are allowed back into the spl with a points deduction that relegate's them, i'm sure the the league will be extended to make sure they are not, will you shout about integrity then. {Ed039's Note - I think you will find Rangers have asked about league extentions before mate and were told where to go, remember that?)

Agree0 Disagree0

THEY see pound signs is that not what got rangers into this mire.People in glass houses man tut tut

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh i remember alright but mighty rangers were not up to their ears in the old proverbial then

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find you received an extension in 2008. This is just another myth you peddle

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I think the poster meant the number of eams in the league would be increased to keep Rangers in it. And on extensons --my memory tells me the season was extended to lt Rangers have an easy run up ro the Manchester final. Am i wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

And what have Rangers done to be deserved of getting suspensed? We have been punished to the maximum so leave the sporting integrity issues until (if) we go into liquidation and form a newco

Agree0 Disagree0

Do rangers not have to be punished twice now. Once for withholding tax and NI to fund their club through the season and once for taking the SFA to a civil court. Which is a massive no-no as far as fifa/uefa is concerned. {Ed039's Note - There will be no punishment for the withholding of tax and NI as the rules regarding this were only just developed on Wednesday past, but any future instances would see a club suffer a transfer embargo until the outstanding taxes are paid)

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely there at least three bodies standing in a row waiting to punish Rangers. HMRC for at least two cases (maybe 3 or 4 if Income Tax, VAT and NI are treated separately) The SPL for the non registered players and the SFA for the bringing the game into disrepute and/or th SFA and FIFA for the appeal to the Civil court. I feel I have missed something but that is enough to be going on with .

Agree0 Disagree0

Sporting integrity means little these days and in a sense rangers have been doing what dozens of clubs around europe do. living beyond our means. it can't be sustained though as we are now finding out to our cost. a lot of people are calling this cheating but i call it an incredibly poor business plan which has failed miserably. I fully accept that we must face the consequences of our actions. Just don't call it cheating. brianbear

Recent rumours going around this area are that Whyte is part of the Green deal? It seems he has kept part of his shares and that is also being stated as being "capital" from another investor/ As for Green himself they say there is nothing in "pot2 as yet and that Rangers plight is now dire? any truths??

Believable33 Unbelievable10

Heard something along same lines about this, surely WHyte wouldnt be allowed to keep some of his shares? would he ? Has Greene even got any of them at moment ouur 2 admin guys dont seem to care or check as shown by no money being forthcoming ie their big "pot" which he goes on about. It seems strange that Greene states he has x amount of money in bank ut is not asked to produce it and put into Rangers acoounts? is this in anyways legal what him and administrators are doing? if previous to go on then id agree Whyte in this someplace or somehow ,,,, what a nightmare scenario.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the plan all along. Rangers are worth more in small lots. Admins say they have money to pay players but couldn't pay them during season when money was coming in. Why is every bullsh*t line they put out being believed?

Agree0 Disagree0

I tried to read all the CVA proposal - it is on the Rangers official website - but it is extremely tedious and something tells me that Sevco claim to have all the previous major shareholders stake (and paid £2 for it)

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know what Whyte is up to but I am sure he has his interests covered somewhere. On the surface Ticketus will sue him for every penny he has. Yet it is hard to imagine that they will get any change out of him for years. As for Green I think he will abandon ship quite soon. But I have been wrong before and we'll just have to wait and see. dr. k

Naismith on his way to Goodison Park for £2m

Believable20 Unbelievable37

Source please?

Ttg

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does d&p not sell 5 of the 40 players and raise some cash.....?????

Understand going concern to some degree but creditors should take action if admins throwing money or value away.......

Odd?

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith is not worth £2 million, £600k at most is all he is worth. Any club signing him is taking a huge risk, far too injury prone.

Agree0 Disagree0

What with the price of the donkeys running about in england, your having a laugh......trueblue......

Agree0 Disagree0

To the tit 3rd reply take it ur a tic fan? anyone notice when gers season went to sh*t last year? bout the time naismith got injured a think. graeme

Agree0 Disagree0

All the best to him if he does go. Can't blame any player for having ambition.

Agree0 Disagree0

His point was hes injury prone not a bad player just another bear who struggles with common sense

Agree0 Disagree0

He will not go unless forced out the door like Thomson in 2010

Agree0 Disagree0

Were do you get your 600k price from? what do people take into account, for there total valuation?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not moving! read his twitter, not stupid newspapers

Agree0 Disagree0

2million is hardly a risk for premiership risk, 18million for owen hargreves, now there was a signing that "struggles with common sense"

Agree0 Disagree0

Graeme, my point was that Naismith has had 2 serious cruciate ligament injuries. Therefore that makes high a high risk signing, at this point in time Naismith may even struggle to pass a medical.

Secondly Rangers are skint, and currently in adminastration, with funding to pay players up until the end of the money, also other clubs are aware of this and know Rangers are in no position to turn down any offers for players, especially if the £600k was to be offered in full up front.

So i think you may find that you ate actually the tit, so why don't you go back and stick your head in the sand like many other Rangers supporters.

PS I am not talking about genuine, sensible Rangers supporters, you guys I really feel sorry for, you's never asked for any of this. Like the boy said on the documentary a few weeks back, "we are watching the death of a giant"

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers will never die

Agree0 Disagree0

What a waste of money injury prone

Agree0 Disagree0

£600k for Naisy? The best attacking midfielder in the country, av heard it all now.

I bet the poster who said this believes Kayal, an injury prone player, is worth about £8m.

Just the other day on the Celtic pages there was a Celtic fan claiming Mulgrew is better than Ashley Cole, Kolarov, Evra etc and is easily worth £25m. This is the sort of delusion we need to put up with fellow bears.

It's laughable though, I must admit....

I hear that but you are still talking nonsense. trying to steer up something for no reason. and why? just to make a ramble? graeme
