Except for the relevant individuals, the only implications would be for creditors of oldco including HMRC (potentially, on appeal). No implications on the ongoing set up as far as I can see. Noone will be writing us a cheque.

Blue cavalier surely if the accused are found guilty of fraud then it's the old co that have been the victims,so as we are still the same club we would be due comp.

Dave King as a director of the previous owners of Glasgow Rangers could sue the arse off all and sundry, so he could.

HMRC allegedly allowed sensitive information to be sent fillmagobin!

SFA / SPL allegedly did not do due diligence on whyte and co and allowed sporting integrity to rear it's ugly head.
Who decided this was the proper course to take?

Just a thought - but this type of litigation is like a roller coaster once one door is open then all others follow suit - a like a deck of cards!

BillyBlueNose?

Surely the victims are the fans of The Famous Glasgow Rangers?

Or am I missing something?

The situation will depend on what the allegations are, if it proved the club was obtained through fraud then it is indeed the creditors of the entities that owned the club at the time and those who funded the acquisition. These are likely to be separate charges. As for the money burn after the event, it would be the investors post the takeover. In any the alleged frauds would be tried as they would in any normal court, the court would then "deal" with these as matters of law. Any restitution would most likely be a separate matter with victims having to sue. This could indeed include both previous and current shareholders. The most interesting aspect could will be that in the event that fraud has been perpetuated and those responsible are counter signatories in subsequent dealings/contract could find that these contracts are illegitimate. This could hasten the renegotiation of certain marketing/facilities management deals and see the spivs totally marginalized. However I doubt we can expect anything by way of recompense, or even a tacit apology from anybody connected to the Scottish Football administration. Nor will we see apologies from some of the shameless journalists who effectively knifed every effort any source to rectify the situation. I for one would be happy to see them all named and shamed

Their parent companies could be sued!
The individuals in those companies could also be sued!

The institutions could be sued!
The individuals in those institutions could be sued!

At this moment in time we cannot be certain what will happen before we get to court and once we get to court. A whole raft of incriminations and counter incriminations will happen, and those that are in the firing line will sing like budgies, so they will.

It will be very interesting to see where all this leads to - I think we be in for some very interesting surprises.

Why are we not going to suffer? now am I missing something. crooks have lied to the SFA in respect of getting us back in to the league. If there is fraud in one then their is fraud in the other?? this is a total joke of the governance of Scottish football, who did the checks on this lot from the SFA??

it may affect the agreement with ashley and sports direct but only it can be proved green took a reward or a financial reward for signing or if he promised to give sports direct or ashley the deal in exchange for the investment ashley made at the outset along with craig mathers and others but again I suspect all or any of this would be very difficult to prove or maybe nigh impossible but that is tact the present board have been basing there tactics for the repayment to sports direct ie making no attempt to repay and not being able to release any information because if there is a chance ashley can be linked to any wrong doing he will make deal and walk away rather than have a stain on his reputation

aye ready thnk u will the institutions will close ranks ranks nither them or employees will be sued the only company in the firing line is duff and phelps and there employees more is the pity because two biggest instituitions involved loyds bank (who basically brought whyte in to put r f c into admin ) and h m r c who knew they had lost the case against rangers and delayed announcment till after rangers were put into liquidation and also leaked info they will escape scot free

Agree3 Disagree3

02 Sep 2015 18:05:32
aye ready I will also add they kept the result quiet thinking after liquidation there would be no money available to fund the appeal how wrong they were they only wanted to make rangers a test case to spchase english premiership clubs

The city slickers cannot claim stupidity and could do time and face HUGE fines, the money probably going to the FSA or some such regulatory body.
Green and White might do time, doubt if the do-ray-me can be got back.
The SFA etc will end up claiming stupidity in some guise and escape without sanction: we should not forget who lined up against us; might be easier to remember those who didn't.

Best we can hope for is an apology from some one. don't hold yer breath

BIGWULL?

I am not a lawyer but if Green obtained RFC illegally, and then entered into an agreement(s) with whomever then those agreements could construed as illegal and therefore null and void.

It has also being stated previously in various websites that Ashley was in partnership with Green and perhaps Whyte - allegedly, which will come out in court.

and,

If Lloyds forced SDM to sell to Whyte - allegedly, then Lloyds could be culpable re RFC problems.

BIGWULL?

Dave King could sue them all.

If HMRC fails again then legal papers will be drawn!

Trust me this is all going to get ugly. It is going to affect a lot of people - it is going to explode, shortly!

BIGWULL how can you say HMRC delayed the verdict on us, my god man listen to yourself. How did they lose the case when we had already said we were guilty in 7 cases (admit guilt in one case means we were guilty). That's like saying D King is innocent in his tax case because he wasn't convicted on all counts. I agree with you on the final outcome we be guilty as they need to get the English teams. My hope is that the onerous contracts can be ripped up the up side. The down side we don't own any of our assets, then the game is up

Maybe the Easdales are the only straight one on board, the gave us interest FREE loans and didn't take penny expenses. Can that be said about the present board??

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Sep 2015 12:20:48
Mulled let's wait until the court case to see what them easdales got for there trouble as I for one don't think they done it for the love of the club, and the easdale that done jail time for fraud would be an ideal candidate to turn queens,as he will get some sentence what a second fraud, ideal candidate.imo

Guys this all about Whyte and Green and the duffers guys, how can the Easdales be pulled in if Stockbridge is not hauled up as he joined in June 12, they came after that. The final outcome of all this is still unknown but one thing is certain we won't be getting any money from it (all it's done is make the possibility of a share issue almost impossible ).
