Saw that Pedro was saying he wants players he can trust, he mentioned lads that he signed for Laguno Santos from Argentina, a defender, a midfielder and a keeper, I think the defender is Carlos Izquierdos, anyone any ideas of who the others are?

30 Apr 2017 22:32:37
The ghana defender is on loan to his last club from laguno santos maybe it's him but he ain't argentinian but the guy you just mentioned was pedros captain and he's from argentina and is 28 so not exactly too old

01 May 2017 07:50:43
A few decent Scottish/ British also I hope.

01 May 2017 10:19:43
Says in the piece it includes players from Scotland, England and Europe. Makes a lot more sense than just signing League 1 players all the time.

01 May 2017 11:13:38
McCoist spoke sense after game Saturday only 1 thing is why didn't he sell has shares so we could've got rid of the fat man who is the main reason we can't get investment

01 May 2017 11:41:49
McCoist only said what he said to appease the fans it wasn't rocket science his speech.

02 May 2017 15:58:40
ally will always have my respect and admiration he has his views on things and don't think for a second rangers being where they are is what he wants because he is blue through and through and wants the best for us whether you believe it or not

30 Apr 2017 18:46:19
charlton want hodson, report on rangersfcnews. i would sell him and take any kinda money he is worth, what do u bears think he is worth?

30 Apr 2017 19:41:29
I'd keep him. Reliable full back

30 Apr 2017 20:48:10
would u rather keep him and sell tav?

30 Apr 2017 20:54:41
I would keep him and sell tav.

30 Apr 2017 20:56:28
Twice the rb tav is

30 Apr 2017 21:18:17
Every single player is available and not only for an offer we can't afford to turn down. Here's my opinion on players minimum offer we would accept and how much I do think their worth.
Fods. £600k-£1m
Hodson. £350-£550k
Tavs. £400k-£1m
Wallace. £400k-£1m
Forrester. £200k-£350k
O'halloran. £200k-£400k
Halliday. £250k-£350k
Holt. £400k-£850k
Dodoo. £300k-£675k
Waghorn. £400k-£600k
At present Garner and especially McKay's value could get higher if we gambled and gave Garner another season and re-signed McKay. May get most money back on Garner but at present £500k. McKay we could accept £500-£700k buy he could be a £5m player. Same situation as Adam's and McCormack!

30 Apr 2017 21:18:18
Better defensively than Tav.

30 Apr 2017 22:26:44
Andy

If you honestly think we will get some of those valuations for some of the players then you have went mad. Who on earth would pay £250k for Halliday, £400-£600k for Waghorn and £200-£400k for O'Halloran? It's just not going to happen. Will be lucky to give those 3 away for
nothing

30 Apr 2017 22:33:35
Struggle to get £250 quid for Halliday mate

30 Apr 2017 22:34:53
Andy you're mental if you think we'll accept only £1million for fod he's really came onto a game and not like english clubs are short of money

01 May 2017 09:53:57
we honestly do need a clear out this summer, hope its not another wasted one though! i love rangers don't get me wrong, but i want to see the club i love challenging for the title again

01 May 2017 11:29:46
Admit looking at it some valuations are mental ;) but even tho I agree with the Fods statement we might sell for a lower price just because we need the money!

01 May 2017 11:39:38
Look valuations are high but the prices down South are LUDICROUS! Waghorn will go to Leeds for around £500k Halliday will go back to Bradford for say £150k with Halliday getting around £50k for loss in wages same type of deal for O'halloran and can see him going back to St Johnston as Wright knows the player and done the job for him. Basically gave St Johnstone a dam donation of around £300k and I think we will take these losses and prob need to give O'halloran close to a £100k pay off same with Forrester and Kiernan

01 May 2017 11:43:10
In the current market Fod is worth more than 1 million.
If we could get a decent fee for Garner I would let him go and to accept £500-700 k for Mackay is total nonsense.
All we can hope for is Warburton wants Waghorn Tavernier and Halliday.

01 May 2017 12:20:48
1mill for fod? Don't know about you lads but I've never rated him. Compared to previous keepers Woods, goram, Klos, McGregor etc he isn't fit to lace any of their boots.

01 May 2017 13:35:34
It will be interesting to see if warbs takes Keirnan off us. Davie weir and warbs really rated him so let's see what happens in summer fingers crossed.

01 May 2017 15:03:55
Know chairman/ club in there right mind is going to offer £1m to a club that's on its arse with no money. we're stuck with the makority of this lot. my only hope is that by freeing up Hill, sendeross, toral and hyndman and maybe wih abit of luck some club daft enuf to give us buttons for another 1 or 2 players then hopefully bring in 5 or 6 that are better quality than those mentioned to bring on the players that are already there.

01 May 2017 15:06:49
Jaws i think Warbs has realized he got out at the right time. Kiernan and Co could hardly keep weanz out a close so there's no chance Warbs will take a gamble on them in the Championship which is 10x the spl

01 May 2017 15:29:10
Your right JLS but we can dream mate.

01 May 2017 16:23:08
Tav is obviously a better right back than Hodson. That's why the last 3 managers we've had pick Tav and don't pick Hodson. You wouldn't think it takes a rocket scientist to work that one out.

02 May 2017 16:10:35
tav for me would be best usd as a rwb and not a rb and could be worth a lot more rthan people on here are saying!

for me tav has bee one of our better performers of late and gives everything in every game yes he has bee caught out of position but i go back to what i just said i think he is a rwb and ame for beerman and they should both play just up from the back line which as things stand i would have hill in the middle with bates and wilson either side of him

03 May 2017 01:04:03
Would be great if we could offload Gardner, Waghorn, Ohalloran, Mckay, Halliday, Hodson, Kiernan, Wilson to generate some income and clear the way for a reboot.

Personally I'd give Forrester 1 more season to show what he can offer as he looked a real prospect years ago down south and showed glimpses with us. Get a fire in him and some confidence and he could do alright.

Possible first team with some priority signings could be, 4-4-2
Boyce, Moult, Hayes, Malumbu, Dorrans, Tavernier, Wallace, Berra, Sumaila (Pedro's godson), Patterson, Foderingham.

Hayes and Tav out wide providing crosses for 2 of the leagues better goal scorers, seems like a decent way to spend money if we were going for a restructure for me. 3 of those players at end of contract and tough ask to get them all but its not totally out of the question depending on how well we sell and willingness to invest.

8 players out, 8 players in, plus Crooks, Rossiter to return to the fold, possibly Vaulks in as cover through defence and midfield, sorted, 1 in a row going on 20!

03 May 2017 01:05:49
we badly need to improve on those CB options, Bates, Wilson don't cut the mustard, I'd keep big Clint for another season as back up. Bring in 2 solid CB's

30 Apr 2017 18:31:39
Where is Rossiter?

30 Apr 2017 18:40:14
In his house I would imagine. Or potentially a kebab house or garage forecourt getting fuel.

30 Apr 2017 21:00:55
Warburton got big davie weir to bury him somewhere i heard

30 Apr 2017 20:51:36
Who even is he again another one of the loaf mans injury prone signins this is the exact reason we're in this mess. painfull as it is, but all warburtons players are all league one and two standards. when are people going to realise this? that's how we can't go toe to toe with the tims.

instead of getting players from lower leagues in england we should have looked at home and took some of the best players from other spl clubs. common sense celtic have done it, look at armstrong, prime example we could have got.

Hemmings, stewart, moult, boyce, rooney, crawford etc who are all spl standard instead we just waste money on players from league 1 in england. now fellow bears the names ive mentioned please don't tell me that they wouldn't get a game for us cause they are by far better than what we have, fact.

another player who's on fire jackson irvine why didn't we take him? Instead we got 34 year old joey barton and past his prime krankjar. says it all basically. leave your thoughts folk.

{Ed033's Note - You're correct, 'common sense' celtic would not bother with 'past his prime' krankjar.

Barry, posted an opinion last week regarding rumours or signings of players from other teams in our league, there’s no guarantee that these players would be a cut above what we already have. As I said in my post if you put the likes of Garner in the Aberdeen squad, Tav in the Hearts squad and do the same with another few we’d probably sitting here debating whether we should sign these players as they’d probably be flying. We scrutinise our own players because we see them week in week out, a quite rightly so, but we don’t scrutinise the likes of Boyce, Rooney and Crawford the same way we do ours.

02 May 2017 16:11:03
gazz your right mate the likes of rooney and jack have all had bad spells for their own clubs but if they did that here they would be like mckay getting slaughtered off of our own.
so maybe not all these players would be a good signing but i'd take a chance on one or two of the best of the rest and see if we get lucky but should definitely not get all our signings from here or we will still be the team fighting for second next year

30 Apr 2017 13:24:29
My neighbour who claims to know Park told me Park said we are dangerously close to going bankrupt again. No idea if that is true as I hardly know the guy but it is a rumours page after all. Hopefully it isn't true though.

30 Apr 2017 13:32:05
Mate I heard this a few days ago but didn't want to post

30 Apr 2017 13:53:45
If that's the case why don't fans now step to plate and put our money in what we can afford and buy the club into fan ownership and stop all this rubbish happening again

30 Apr 2017 16:06:10
It would have been pretty pointless appointing the new manager if that was the case, i'm pretty sure he would have been given assurences regarding funds for the summer and beyond, plus if the financial report was correct then we were doing alright

30 Apr 2017 16:57:46
I am pretty sure that a respected board member and businessman would be talking about such confidential matters at the club.
Yes there is debt in terms of the soft loans to board members, however which other debt does the club have? I find this totally ridiculous.

30 Apr 2017 17:32:18
Jeez there are too many numpties with made up stories in here!

At least try to find something to base your rumours on instead of annoying everybody else!

30 Apr 2017 17:35:50
Gerswonder

You meant wouldn't?
If so I agree

30 Apr 2017 17:11:23
Well I don't know if that is true but if there isn't substantial investment in the summer there will be thousands less season tickets sold than this year. I'd love to know what the mood is like in the board room because I know king gets a lot of stick but in my opinion the 3 bears and rest of the board are responsible as well.

30 Apr 2017 17:39:14
I herd this a few months back from a guy in work whos son is best mates with a player won't drop names but it never happened and then we had that stuff in press about being in profit then we paid out pedros contract and enterd into more court cases which cost money so surley if money was that tight the board would not go wasting money ob all that

30 Apr 2017 20:00:02
If it was the case about going bust why bring in a new manager, surely you would have kept going with Murty in charge until season end.

I think Ashley has parked his tanks on the Ibrox turf for a reason. he can play the long game Can King and co?

30 Apr 2017 20:14:08
Its total nonsense scare mongering. We posted our first profit in 6 years albeit a small one but it is profit. We need to quash these rubbish rumours. Things are bad enough in a playing sense without bringing out all this crap also. Financially we may not be anywhere as strong as the Dark sude which is understandable and yes the team is crap. But we are financially sound. If we can get rid of the FAT PIG we can march on bears. Investment has been thwarted due to DK loosing the share issue vote by a small margin but this will happen it has to. I've been on the warpath in recent posts as i am hurting. If i have offended anyone on here I apologise raftbob take note mate and you tpo onlyshowaround.

01 May 2017 09:33:42
Thebluevoice
Its understandable to be currently on the warpath mate it shows your passion, but aye things need a drastic change and quick, i don't think i can handle another season like that one and king and co NEED to step up now more than ever! I feel the last transfer window warbs wasnt given funds due to the new manager coming, it was hopefully kept back until the summer, fair dos i know not a lot of people would be willing to throw their money away at rangers just now but if king is a true fan i'm sure he won't mind spending a little of his millions this time around surely!

01 May 2017 10:27:23
To many numpties on here that need to open up a dictionary and read what a rumour is. Ain't that right BR65? I clearly stated I don't know the guy well enough to know if he's talking Warbs. Hopefully he is. Why don't you do something productive with your day instead of sitting on your wee computer waiting to slaughter every rumour yoi hear. Wouldn't be much point in this page if you could only post things that had already happened.

01 May 2017 10:31:27
Would hardly say its scaremongering. You sound like an snp politician. He claims the bankruptcy is a really possibility because they can't get investment because of Ashley but again who knows. I only posted what I heard. Take what you want from it. Seems every rumour on hear just gets absolutely demolished.

02 May 2017 16:12:00
leave the snp alone they are taking enough flak now and the way things are going we will have the torries for another 4 years god forbid and the the country will be going bankrupt not just rangers. lol
