my choice would be sell jelavic for 8-10 million and get snodgrass 4 million and laukau loan or beckford 4 million what do you guys think

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Snodgrass is appalling! If he was playing in Holland or Belgium would cost a million. Bad buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku has already played for 2 clubs this season so can't play for a third.

Agree0 Disagree0

Romelu lakaku guy chelsea just bought for Ł20million , no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard from a very good source that jelavic is def gna go 2mro for 8 mil and that money is gna go into r debt haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass is not appalling :D

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass is very decent, beckford not worth 400k neva mins 4m

Rangers to sign Chris Humphrey & Jamie Murphy from Motherwell for combined fee of £2.3m. Also bringing in Chelsea duo Josh McEachran & Daniel Sturridge on loan for the season.

John Fleck will sign a season long loan deal with Blackpool, Kyle Hutton will join an SPL side on loan as will Andy Little.

This will be all the business Rangers will do.

Believable4 Unbelievable12

We'd never get sturridge

Agree0 Disagree0

No way will money be spent without some coming in

Agree0 Disagree0

While your still in a daydream can you post the 6 lottery numbers for wed nghts draw !
were you at the chelsea game ? dont you know what kind of reception sturridge got from the gers fans ?

Agree0 Disagree0

McEachran has been on the Chelsea bench every game this season and will be 'well in'' the 25 man squad, so don'y talk the p*** man

Agree0 Disagree0

U obv dnt no the rules bout the 25 man squad do u. mceachran dosnt need to b registerd as he is under 21 bt tht stil dosnt mean were gettin him on loan lmaoo

hi ed whats the latest on theofanis gekas. any sources {Ed001's Note - there is talk in the Greek press, though I have no idea how accurate they are or even if they really are saying there is interest or if the translation was pants. That is all I know on him though.}

arsenal to make a last ditch bid for allan mcgregor tomorrow

Believable9 Unbelievable15

The only arsenal player performing is their gk...we wont sell anyone ..wont get anyone either

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene has gone on record ot say that he wont consider buying a keeper. Zsezney performed alright on saturday its just unfortunate that most of the 8 were screamers and the defense was abysmal. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha.mcgregor is gonnae be a ger for life.although wouldn't be surprised if Alexander left far too good a keeper to play 2nd fiddle.lucky to have him.....

Agree0 Disagree0

6 year contract ... enough said

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenals keeper are awful it would make sense for them to sign a competent goalie.

Agree0 Disagree0

My father in-law was speaking to Bob Wilson a few weeks ago and asked him about mcgregor going to arsenal he said he didn't think it would happen wenger wouldn't pay that kind of money for a goalie ( over Ł8m ) {Ed001's Note - they bid more than double that last summer for Reina.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers will sign andy driver fleck hutton goin loan to hearts

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly thought that mcgregor would have signed for man utd at the end of last season- we all know how good he is- but SAF bought the spaniard- mcgregor is a top goalie and we are so lucky to have him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Contracts mean nothing in football apart from the fact that a club can demand more money for a player if they have more time left on their contract.

Striker Jeremain Lens is possibly considering an offer to go to Rangers

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Would love this but doubt theres any chance

Agree0 Disagree0

I said on here 2 months ago that Spurs were interested in Jelavic and that this guy was being lined up as his replacement. If the Editor can go back to his archives then he can verify this.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's valued at 6.5m - not a chance!

Agree0 Disagree0

Naw, sombody is just taking a "lens" of you

Glasgow Rangers are widely expected to make an audacious offer to bring Gianluca Zambrota to ibrox, however any deal will hinge on Steve Davis big money move to CL hopefuls Viktoria Plzen

Believable9 Unbelievable16

Jeezo declan am shocked awww nooo./biggles

Agree0 Disagree0

Pure utter pish, get a grip man

Agree0 Disagree0

Good singing for the bears. gutted to lose davo though. fuk it. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we need another ageing defender its a striker we need

Agree0 Disagree0

Viktoria who ... i don't think so

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree wae 4th reply well said!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha davis to victoria plzen thats a funny one.

Rhys Murphy could be on his way.

Believable10 Unbelievable8

Aw thank god for that!

allan macgregor goin to arsenal 7.5 while rhys murphy signs for the gers? both of these correct?

Believable12 Unbelievable18

Possible transfer of Allan Hutton to Villa
anybody know of a sell on clause on this
deal.

Believable7 Unbelievable10

There isnt 1. Absolutley pathetic when we're all hopin for a sell on clause for a player that left 4 years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

No sell on clause but as soon as he makes a certain number of appearances we're due a few mil. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not buy him back or does the taxman already have that money. Oops forgot we dont pay the tax man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell on clause get real they only kick in if the middle club makes a profit from what i can tell they wont.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 20:46:36
what about the lad hasslebank from st mirren i think he could do a job for us in SPL . give st mirren hutton or fleck on loan as part of the deal

Believable8 Unbelievable17

I agree small fast stron i would offer bigfoot and 250k

Agree0 Disagree0

Do not talk rubbish, you are getting a bit desperate now.

Agree0 Disagree0

He just signed for st mirren this summer

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh aye, the same guy that St Mirren only signed from Hamilton in June? Get real, we are Rangers, boy isn't even good enough to tie Jelavic's boots let alone play alongside him

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't axactly set the heather on fire last season, and is certainly no better than what's at Ibrox at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give them a thrupence and a bag of sweets for him...

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 20:33:51
Rangers will not sell Jelavic

They will sign Rhys Murphy in the next 24 hours trust me

They will also make a quick bid for Chris Humphrey from motherwell and will be accepted

John Fleck will NOT go out on loan this season it's to late

Maybe a couple of loan signings one or two maybe not any but im hoping

Believable16 Unbelievable16

So erm - how is it too late to send JF out on loan but yet you claim we will make loan signings ourselves?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhys murphy is signing thats just statin the obvious it says it on sky sports.com

Agree0 Disagree0

One word m8 [bulls***]

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not sure about humphrey but defently murphey

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip. Murphy or Humphrey? Both are rubbish. Humphrey struggles to go past a player and Murphy does nothing against either of the old firm. Spl players are not up to it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Airport bear .... sorry m8 all clubs can sign loan players afer midnight on wed and any free agents ... timmy me thinks ! remember the bear knows who lands and leaves glasgow airport and when Rangers and even that other lot do business ! forever a bear ....

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 20:23:16
Gers plan a move for Murphy of Arsenals youth squad. Murphy has been on trial at Gers for a while now and are ready to bring him to Ibrox.

Rhys Murphy=20 years of age and quoted by Ally "he's had an impressive trial".

How can people not believe this its on skysports news !! :)

Kyle Hutton going on loan tomorrow. He has a few offers, but had a behind doors kickabout with s.t mirren. So looks like he's going on loan to Saints.

Source...Huttons Dad called the real radio phone in to have a wee moan.
Hope he's not ruined his boy's chances at gers.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Dont know why we want to loan him hes far better than edu will ever be disgrace !

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be good move going out on loan st mirren look like playing good football this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell them they can take broadfoot back aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccoist needs his heed looked at if he lets him go out on loan he should in first team before edu

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is a great peice of business. St Mirren like playing football hes ideal for them (just now) he needs to toughen up and be quicker on the ball hes more suited to European football the way he plays hense why he stood out against the teams in Europe last year but when we played Dundee Utd at Tannadice 4-0 game he was taken off after 20 mins because he was all over the place. Get him to st mirren get him playing best examples are likes of Adam we could have that in our grasp next year n wont make the mistake again

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 20:16:49
Rangers have reportedly made an audacious bid to lure Brazillian striker Vagner Love to the SPL.

Believable5 Unbelievable22

Great player but not going to happen he would set us back about 10 million at least

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance we dont have the money to spend.plus on top of that all the work permit and visa issues, it would never be processed in time for the transfer window closing.some people really need a reality check.

Agree0 Disagree0

No they havn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wagner fae x factor . Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance! In the unlikely event that did happen I'd actually be raging if we sign a player of that quality after going out of Europe twice!!

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of getting Wagner fae the X Factor

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as we process the paper work, we'll be able to sign a brazillian this transfer window. Like what happened with goian. So long as we register him with the SFA/SPL then we will be fine... it just might take a week or two before he makes his debut. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 20:15:25
Alan Dzagoev deal reportedly 'very close'

Believable6 Unbelievable17

The player who's recently been linked with Arsenal and Fiorentina and will be on pretty high wages in Russia? Hmmm.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very close to what? Being told where to go? There's no way that we could afford to buy this guy - with or without any money we may get if we sell Jelavic.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance rangers would get him he would go to premiership ...bigt

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true it would be the best signing for the club in 10 years but I think it is rubbish. We can only dream.

Agree0 Disagree0

Saying on papers pages its QPR and hes valued at 12M, so def not us

Agree0 Disagree0

He is easily a Ł15 million player in today's climate

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard from a reasonably good source (stevie thompson) ex ger now at saints . Rangers are looking to bring in djibril cisse on a permanent deal if they sell jelavic . Spoke to him at - Location = Houston Inn paisley.

paisleyGER !!

Believable4 Unbelievable20

He just signed this year for Lazio!! 4yr deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Well that is a reliable source then. Vista and whyte must pass on this type of info to all ex player from about 8 years. Com on pal. Even if the conversation did take place (which is doubtful), how on earth would he be privvy to this?

Agree0 Disagree0

How would he know who gers are in for

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does he have information on a club he doesn't play for? He is at St Mirren now but that doesn't mean he keeps in touch with the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the same cisse that just signed for lazio from panathinaikos so doubt it very much so tell steven Thompson to get out the bar and have a Shave

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm.....Houston Inn is in Houston, which isn't Paisley

Agree0 Disagree0

The Houston Inn is in Houston you cretin! Not Paisley. So your talking tripe! And i am from Paisley.

Agree0 Disagree0

He just signed for Lazio this summer don't be silly

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you the same guy who said to me cisse was the best player in the planet honestly somebody actually said that to me a about a year ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig whyte does do transfer deals wae thompson hes got to get thommos authority Lmaooo

Agree0 Disagree0

Houston which is part of paisley ? I can guarantee if anyone goes intoo the houston inn you will see mccoist , players like barry lavette (ex st mirren) and thompson. well maybe he was just pulling my strings then

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 20:12:34
Any one moning at white hasnt got a clue we rejected the jelicic bid so dont no why you are saying he is selling our best players when he is not

Believable6 Unbelievable13

Hopefully you're back on here tomorrow saying the same thing. I wouldn't bet on it though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who says they are not holding out for more money?
9m? 10m? 12m?

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip. Do you really believe that Leicester tabled a bid for Jelavic. A complete smoke screen for the fans to cover our inefficiency during the last few days of the transfer window. If we don't sign a decent class of player (and its highly probable) Whyte will dodge mist of the flak as he has this to defend himself. Whyte is here for the short term and to make money out of Rangers, he will not invest any serious money. In Ally we trust, with Whyte we rust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye could be holding out for more money we havnt sold him yet so i dont think its fair to say that untill he is gone a no an offer we cant refuse will come in

Agree0 Disagree0

He will sell when 8m offer comes in sum people need a reality check and will arrive 2mora

Agree0 Disagree0

Why did they put it on the website unless they wanted to advertise the fact he was available for transfer. He will be sold and old man Gekas will be bought as a replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

Wld hate to see jela go but if he does ad accept no less than 10 million ! and aw tht smokescreen crap is bull he will still get awsorts a flak if rangers fail to sign any1 and jela does stay!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 19:47:06
Spurs ready to make bids for Jelavic and Cahill. Redknapp been monitoring Jelavic for a while but are set to make their move as other clubs are now taking a serious interest. Modric off to Chelsea.

Believable13 Unbelievable12

Jelavic is not going to spurs. Lies.

Agree0 Disagree0

7 million plus Hutton sounds like a deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Very possible, harry likes a last minute deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Huttons away to villa

Agree0 Disagree0

He said in an interview on ssn that the striking department is quite full and thats why crouch is likely to go to stoke

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic will not go to a top EPL- he's a great player but he's a yard of pace too slow to play for a top 6 EPL side.

Agree0 Disagree0

A yard of pace too slow.you're full of it granted last FEW games hasn't been his best but fxck off back to illiteracy rules page.my son...

Agree0 Disagree0

Son? Sorry "dad"! I hope Jela stays as I think he's a great player but he isn't quick enough to play upfront for a top Premiership team. He's got the ability but all the top strikers down there are faster and more mobile than him and I'm not just basing that on the last FEW games!

Rangers reject 6.5 million bid for Nikica Jelavic from Leicester

anyone have any ideas of who is a big possibility to be signing for rangers tomorrow ?

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Aye Lord Lucan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody will come in

Agree0 Disagree0

..Absolutely no one..

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said something similar before but we could try this approach: Get the players we have to train hard, follow instructions; be coached well; keep fit and just get on with playing football - which is after all their JOB!

Agree0 Disagree0

Any1 that costs 4 to 500 Grand maybe?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nae Budy, he can play anyrole and is available on the cheap, infact so cheap even Whyte would manage to pull it off, would be a major transfer coup if he does it! watch this space!

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to say that's the feeling you get , that no one will come in after all nothings happened in the last month or so why should last day be any different(other than these so called players that have come in), almost could say it's asset stripping at it's finest

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody.not even a loan signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Gekas from frankfurt

Agree0 Disagree0

A striker after jelavic goes. probably replacing the jelly with that greek t**t

Agree0 Disagree0

Read on sky sports transfer centre we are to offer rhys murphy a contract a striker who came through arsenals youth system 20 years old and been on trial from the beginning of august this will probaly be our tod knowing on tight whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

My thought is if jelavic is sold and the boy rhys and the greek come in ally will be on the dole by the end of september which i would hate to see, but who else thinks the same as me? also i still live in hope that we have something up our sleeves but its hard to imagine?

Agree0 Disagree0

Iv got a funny feeling we may see two players come in tomorrow, one loan and one permanent. Couldnt tell u who, just think we may have something goin on in the background. Defo will bring in at least 3 if jelavic leaves, couple strikers (gekas+1) and a cm/winger.

keep the heads up lads

Leicster to table another bid, this time of 7.5m plus a further 1.5m if Leicster get into the top flight next season. My brother stays down there with his wife - all big fans of Leicster fans. Heard it here 1st!! Please reject it Rangers, we need more players not less. VERY WORRIED BEAR :(

Believable13 Unbelievable9

No player bigger than club 8million for jelavic take it. he not kicked a ball this season he wants away. as for ryths murphy bad move by ally and for the boy all he will get is a hard time if things dont go rite this season he will got blame cos of his back ground. ally what u doing?

Agree0 Disagree0

And if 9 million (or whatever) allows to buy some quality players tomorrow then getting rid of some greetin' faced wee nyaff for that money is a good deal. He's a good player but he's not that good. Plus, as has already been mentioned, he's been crap this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Jelavic wants to go let him ? Would have to question his ambition going there ? But money talks ?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sell jelavic mccoist should go too

Agree0 Disagree0

"If we sell jelavic mccoist should go too."

Why's that? Have Leicester put in a bid for him too?

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 19:34:23
stated a few times a couple of weeks ago that Jelavic was allegedly linked with a £6.5m to Everton and got shot down. I can guarantee you he will be away tomorrow, every player has their price.

Believable10 Unbelievable8

The reason you got shot down is because Everton cannot afford that.

GovanFR {Ed025's Note - your right...if he cost nothing, it would be too much for everton..

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton and are not Sven's team... That may be why it got shot down.

Agree0 Disagree0

wigan are preparing 3m bid for niasmith ....from a good source you heard anything about this ED {Ed003's Note - Nope}

Believable7 Unbelievable20

How would the ED know, if you are the one with the source ??

Agree0 Disagree0

3 million go away timmy, if ki is worth 8 million so is naismith

Agree0 Disagree0

On current form Naismith is worth more than jelivic so don't see us letting him go for 3m steph

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep think it would take Ł7/8m to shift Naisy

Agree0 Disagree0

7/8 million for naismith.lmfao

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance if thay want him thay can fork out about 6 or 7 million for him not 3 million

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 19:03:04
man utd tabling a 10m offer for jelavic to replace welbeck! any truth?

Believable3 Unbelievable23

What? To replace Danny Welbeck, the guy playing and scoring for the first team ahead of chicarito?

No chance whatsoever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? Where is Wellbeck going.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance. SAF rates welbeck.

Agree0 Disagree0

Replace him? Hes out for a month is he not? Welbeck looks better anyways.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest, i think man utd proved at the weekend they dont need our striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 mill to replace a player out for four weeks Behave yourself

Agree0 Disagree0

To replace wellbeck he,s out for 6 weeks,or maybe it,s true and we are gonna do a swap deal for berbatov or hernandez who,s on man utd bench

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be Ł2.5M per game until Wellbeck was back.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 18:59:08
i was the hearts fan who broke the news about jelevic not being liked at murray park and him wanting a move out of ibrox (COUSIN PLAYS FOR THE GERS), well here,s some more gossip thats going round murray park, DAVIE WEIR has said his goodbyes,, a french striker on the radar (2 million) and coaching staff dont want jelly to go but are getting fed up walking on eggshells to keep a smile on his face (prob for the off) and a 1.7million bid for davis came in from a championship club laughed off by rangers.

Believable15 Unbelievable12

Absolute rubbish!!!!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, My Cousin is a Nurse at an Ayrshire Childrens Hospice and Naismith, Jelavic and Davis where down there all came in the same car, were laughing and signing autographs, I was the person who told you to go and support your own team and let us support us, go and watch the goal celebrations against Aberdeen, jelavic and Davis and Naismith and Jela and Davis ... get back to gorgie ya ghoul

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep this is one of the few stories on here that I believe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whos ur cousin then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep jele get rid of the so called coaching staff, get some proper coaches in

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearts are guff and so are your rumours and imaginary cousin

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the same mug that post crap on here all the time, you always know its him as he uses commas instead of apastrophes lol,

sorry Ed i know i posted this before, just highlighting again to show the tripe hes talking

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not telling mate the guys has actually some truth . I have been informed by a mate that drinks with a Gers Player who i cannot name as i dont want him in trouble .

But Jelavic doenst talk to anyone whilst on Plane , Dressing Room , etc his English isnt that Good . That does explain why the coaching staff fell like they need to walk on eggshells .

Also BIG one McCoist has NOT got the Dressing Room .

Iceman

Agree0 Disagree0

I have heard that Coisty is having trouble with the playing staff and that he has not got the respect of some of the senior playing staff

whyte is selling players to get funds to pay hmrc incase we are found guilty.

Believable16 Unbelievable20

Who have we sold !!!! no one we wanted you tube.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simply not true, we won't know the HMRC result for ages yet.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

He's rejected Ł7.5m for jelavic so don't talk bs

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think our player valuation put together is enogh.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Who have we sold ya nutter

Agree0 Disagree0

What case? We owed them 2.8m and paid it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said whyte is going to sell! it is so he can raise cash for the impending case.

if we win whyte gets a profit and the team will get a little investment

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot case? The case the cud cost us 40 million ya nutter. 2.8 was the other wee bill we owed them

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray holdings debts, not linked with the current owner, not goin to bill the scottish champions because it would be political suicide. never goin to happen!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 18:32:48
Jelavic will be going NOWHERE!!!!! HE has already stated that he would only move to a top4 EPL team and none of them have even showed an interest!

Believable9 Unbelievable10

No smoke without fire

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelly will b gone the mora m8 ure kidding ureself if u believe he will still b here. [wake up man]

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont talk mince if he,s to double or treble his wages he,ll go, as much as he,s a good player he,s not top 4 epl class get real mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

If someone offers him 50000 per week then you can guarantee he will go

Agree0 Disagree0

That's before we got knocked out of 2 European competitions before September!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hello Mr Gullible.

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the top 4 will make a bid cause he cant play in europe

aj

Agree0 Disagree0

Not shown an interest yet pal, wait till tomorrow,at least two clubs will come back in for him and he will go

Agree0 Disagree0

You actually believe that? The only advantage that we had over the mid to lower EPL sides was European football. Now that's gone, what's keeping him here?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well that means he's never leaving Rangers then coz Jelavic will never be a Top 4 english team player.

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy will go alright but not to England, Russia is his destination after all he is a Slav. and they'll pay the guy big bucks, be honest you'd go yourself for Ł50,000 a week, say goodbye Jel.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you all septic fans? I actually cannot believe Rangers fans beign this negative. Why would we sell our top striker and then try to replace him with someone not even half as good. Trust me, Jelavic is going NOWHERE!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the top 4 will make a bid because he's not good enough for them.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Are you all septic fans?"

No, we're just being realistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, trust me mate nobody is being septic. He WILL go, every player has a price and if someone offers him Ł50k a week (which leicester are in position to offer him) he will be off.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is on sky sports news. Looks like he will be heading to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is on sky sports news try looking for it

Agree0 Disagree0

This boy doesnt have great potential, who told you this?

Or have you just been playing football manager too much

He is nowhere near rangers class, dont want him at all!

Agree0 Disagree0

If Jela goes and Ally looks to sign 3-4 players with the money, would he be willing to buy Weiss? I take it that if this was to happen then Weiss would be recalled from his loan spell and then sold to us?

If Jela does go then we would be looking for 2 strikers, a winger and a creative midfielder. I honestly think that £8.5-9m might see him go but then again he might not want to play in the Championship. It all depends on who is bidding for him.

And if he does go then don't have all the doom & gloomers coming on saying its the end for Rangers, let's see what happens and if wee take the money lets see who we get in.

No matter what happens lets always back the team.

The Pilot!

Rangers are to push ahead with a move for Arsenal starlet Rhys Murphy following an impressive trial.

The 20-year-old striker linked up with the Glasgow giants at the start of August in the hope of earning a permanent stay.

He has already spent time on trial at Middlesbrough since the 2010/11 campaign came to a close and is keen to put down roots.

Murphy is a product of the renowned Academy system at Emirates Stadium, having been on their books since 2004.

He has caught the eye in the Gunners' youth teams and gained senior experience during a loan spell at Brentford in 2009.

It is understood that Rangers are now preparing to offer him an opportunity to shine in the Scottish Premier League, with Ally McCoist keen to bring the youngster on board.

Rangers have rejected a £6.5 million bid from Leicester City for striker Nikica Jelavic.

STV understands a firm offer has been tabled by the Championship club, who are managed by former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson, but the bid has been dismissed by the SPL champions.

Eriksson has been looking to strengthen his attack this summer, and had pursued Shane Long before the striker moved to West Bromwich Albion. He has now identified Jelavic as the player he wants to help in his promotion bid, but Rangers have rebuffed his advances.

Croatian forward Jelavic has been a key player at Ibrox following his arrival from Rapid Vienna in August 2010. The striker, who cost an estimated £4 million, sufffered an ankle injury that ruled him out of a significant chunk of the SPL season, but went on to score 19 goals in his debut season for the Light Blues.

This term, the 25-year old has scored three goals in his side's opening seven matches.

Just heard that we arent going to sign anyone else before the window closes. McCoist hinted that there may be business before the window closes after the Aberdeen game but this was just to keep the fans onside before the window closes. Whyte is releasing a statement at the weekend (sunday papers) stating that the budget given was with strict parameters. This meant that mcCoist was told that with champions league money he would have had x ammount to spend, and then same again with europa league money. Due to us been knocked out the cheque book was closed, leaving McCoist with nothing else to spend. There wont be any loan deals coming in either as McCoist was told that he could sell a player to finance that and mcCoist said he would rather keep who he has at his disposal. Source is reporter i used to go to school with.

If this be true then why did white not do more to get the players in, instead of pussyfooting about with unacceptable low bids, sounds like he just did not want to give Ally the money to make it easier to get rid of him, if Ally did get us into any of the European comps a bonus.

Do you really think Chelsea will loan a Ł20m signing to us?

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see Chelsea letting him come up here, just for some dumpling like Ross Tokely to boot him up and down the pitch all day long and break his leg! Good idea but doubt it will happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip mate, Chelsea are not going to loan us a player they just signed for nearly 20 million quid!! The s**te on here is unbelieveable

Agree0 Disagree0

They may do though, its a long shot but due to good relations between the clubs AND managers knowing each other well... besides, the poster is merely saying we should be looking into the idea.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be the signing of the season if it were to happen, albeit very unlikely.

Anyway, I'm sure that there's a FIFA ruling that says that a player can't play for more than 2 teams in official matches in one season. Lukaku played a couple of games for Anderlecht and then came on as a sub for Chelsea.

I'm not sure that the ruling could be appealed and it would be a very long shot anyway. I personally don't see it happening unfortunately. We'll be lucky to get the wee Greek guy with the mullet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stoke wouldnt have been breaking the rules , chelsea would have . It would still be against epl rules for chelsea to loan him out to us... and lets be honest it would never happen ! WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be brilliant but his wages and standard of football wont be good enough for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. Thanks to everyone for pointing out that he was a 18/20 million pound signing, i would never had known if it wasn't for your comments! Idiots! It was a suggestion/opinion that i made, If this guy is availible for loan and Chelsea accepted a bid from Stoke then why shouldn't we chance it?! Robbie Keane/Craig Bellamy both came up here and i think their total transfer fees accumulated is probably about 80 million between them.

AIK just announced Bangura has signed for Celtic for £2.2m on a 4 year contract.
Whyte this is type of player Rangers should be signing, young, ambitious and with a sell on value.
Poor show Ally and Gordon smith.

GDog

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly believe that ally mccoist will come under intense pressure over the next month or two because i hate to say it but this rangers team is rank rotten and will cost him his job. we simply do not have any exciting players who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck and haul us over the line. its the poorest rangers team i have seen in all my 25 years of watching them. its the same old walter smith style minse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can you start posting some of my posts? DONT BE FOOLED by these posts bears. This is the darkside at the SH*T STIRRING. They are posting stuff then replying to them. How sad are they? Get a grip.

why dont we make a cheeky bid to get Romelu Lukaku on loan ? Chelsea obvisouly want to loan him out since they accepted Stoke's loan bid but he he's not allowed to join another epl side on loan cause of epl rules. Worth a try ?

Believable12 Unbelievable8

They didnt accept the bid

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol lukaku forget it mate...ally and the rest of the rangers board are to tight-fisted to get money out for weiss on loan never mind lukaku ally is to thick to see what rangers really need 5 words foreign fast flair young & cheap away with ortiz and the rest of the o.a.p squad

We seem to be going from one major disapointment to another at Rangers just now. Fans have been linking us with players such as Dos Santos and Joe Cole and McCoist goes for Gekas!

He looks well out of shape, is 31 and has a bad haircut!

We are Glasgow Rangers FFS.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Do you realise what you have just said? !! The fans have linked rangers with players based on no evidence at all! McCoist is being linked with a player that is in our price range and has a decent pedigree. Why can't you accept that?

Good friends with Charlie Allan (reporter for the Evening Express in Aberdeen) he informs me that talks are ongoing with McCoist and Brown over the signing of Fraser Fyvie, up and coming midfielder, keeping it hush as to not p1ss off the sheep after Foster last year

Believable5 Unbelievable10

I hope not! the boy is good but hutton and ness are better id hate so see them being kept out the squad because of yet another below standard signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets not go back to that old policy of signing anyone who has one good game against us

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance. Aberdeen would not make it easy for us to sign him and they would want it to be public knowledge in order to alert other clubs and instigate a bidding war

Forget Theofanis Gekas's attitude, he sounds a similar player to Kris Boyd and i'd take Kris Boyd's scoring exploits back anyday. The difference between Boyd & Gekas is that Gekas has pace to burn and is a fantastic scorer at a very high level, a £1m which seems to have been quoted can't go wrong imo for somebody who is very likely to score goals and plenty of them.

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Listen this is not happening. He was a possibility before euro exit. not now. Don't believe everything you read in the daily rag. Source Twitter

Agree0 Disagree0

I think I would take Albertz's opinion over yours and whilst he says he is a good finisher he says he is very very moody, lazy, never bothers to try and stay onside, and makes no effort to get involved in the game.

I think Jelavic would become quite frustrated playing alongside this guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep id take back Boyds goalscoring his game as a whole though not a chance he scored wen we were 2-0 up in games and in too many games that mattered he was found wanting. We should have got DG wen we had the chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Boyd always scored when we were 2-0 up ma baws a used to back him first scorer every week and a won more than a lost ,found wanting in the league cup final when he came on scored 2 then the winning penalty give me peace man, fair enough he never scored against celtic but a think he more than made up for it elsewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to laugh at someone who denounces a report in a newspaper, then proceeds to ask us to believe something on Twitter.

rangers should be looking at young scottish talent like murphy, templeton, fyfie, russell.

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Only one I would take is Murphy but Motherwell would hold us to ransom for him after the goodwillie saga

The others arent good enough. We have Ness, Hutton, Cole, Bendiksen, Fleck, Wylde all in our team and should be getting a chance with the exception of Fleck who seems to have let the hype go to his head in recent years

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn t be so sure about your comment coz if Fleck is continually played out of position and not given his chance i can see him being the next Charlie Adam

Agree0 Disagree0

The boy from Aberdeen is going to be a very good player. I would take them all but i would like to get Murphy first

Agree0 Disagree0

Fleck needs to be played as a Striker. If he can't do that then he can be judged. The spl is not the market we should look at. We all know it is full off duff players who think they are better than they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

HAHA..as much as i hate to say it mate but scotland has as much talent as lichtenstein perhaps even less....ditch that! RANGERS should be going for upcoming cheap eastern european players..u know players that will take cheap wages and run around all over the place we should be scouting countries like slovakia, slovania russia and such...scotland has no "potential" talent

SCOTT McDONALD is on his way, a perfect partner for Jellyfish. I don't care if he's been at Celtic or hates Rangers, he's a top class finisher and he'll be a great asset to us.

Believable9 Unbelievable18

As a Celtic supporter I'd love for Rangers to sign Scott McDonald. His first touch is horrendous and his second is a tackle to try and recover.

Can't see it happening though.

Rangers to make two loan signings
before the window slams shut ..

Livermore & Macheda...

you heard it here first !

Believable6 Unbelievable20

Utter crap. Livermore has rejected a loan move to West Ham and wants to stay at Spurs. Why then would he relocate to Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Livermore is the more realistic and has been on the cards all summer Macheada on the other hand im not so sure but with SAF's choices up top i can see him being left out. If we get him on loan id put my neck out and say he could be a title winning signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great but i cant see this happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

Livermore likely to be part of deal to take Parker to Spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard it here first, eeeeehhhhh dont think so, people have been sayin that for weeks

Agree0 Disagree0

Livermore has just knocked back West Ham to stay and fight for his place at Spurs. Saddens me to say this but at the moment West Ham would probably be a more attractive offer for him.

Stay in London
Better quality of league
Challenging for title

We can only offer one of these 3 and I am even beginning to doubt that! Hopefully my thoughts will change at 11pm on Wednesday night!

Agree0 Disagree0

Macheda been offered to newcastle on loan and sunderland have also enquired bout him.dont see him coming to us either

Y dnt we offer motherwell 1.5m plus fleck (season loan) for jamie murphy, tom hateley and chris humphries? They would al b gd signins and give more competion for places, would also give young tom kind bendikson a chance on the rite of midfield, better thn ortiz anyday of the week. Only way these young guns will gt better is by playin week in week out. N does any1 else think edu should b a cb? He would b excellent at cb I reckon. Solid and clears the ball away. Any1 else agree? Let me knw wat use all think. U too ed.

Believable6 Unbelievable14

This is ridiculous

1) Murphy is not worth 1.5M never mind adding in Fleck as part of the deal

2) They would never sell their 3 best players to Rangers in the one transfer window

3) Edu is terrible full stop. having him as the last line of defence before mcgregor is a scary though. He cannot clear the ball and he is not solid

Next...!

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually see where your coming from with this iv thought Edu has played his best football at RB lately which i guess isnt sayin much but i dnt see him as a CB i just want to see the guy we all knew before back again get him out the lime light for a bit Ally theres 3 kids in Ness Fleck and Hutton who can take the heat in the middle for a bit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Edu at centre back!askin for trouble mate. have u noticed hw much he dithers on the ball. the only gd hng about it is that he mite get a hoof in the ar*e from mcshagger!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't be against Murphy and Hateley arriving with Fleck and Cash going the other way - even Broadfoot.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you've been at the glue mate, Edu at cb the guy has no positional sense and can not read the game. So if we gave him a run at cb I recon he would cost us about 10-20 goals a season.

DaddyBlueBear

Agree0 Disagree0

1.5m plus fleck (season loan) for jamie murphy, tom hateley and chris humphries. that works out as 500,000 each. I would guess that's about what you did offer

Rangers are interested in Johan Audel of Stuttgart.

Believable3 Unbelievable14

Theofanis Gekas. 31 year old ..
summed up by jorg albertz ..

when he's bad he's awful - a truculent and moody individual with a questionable work ethic, a history of bust-ups and a string of relegations behind him.

He was once superbly described as the man who took the fabled Germanic ideal of efficiency to new, radical extremes.

He doesn't run, rarely bothers to stay onside and switches off for long spells of matches, like on Sunday when he was jeered off the pitch by his own fans having touched the ball just 21 times in 83 minutes.

Forget this one Ally and move on ...

Believable13 Unbelievable6

I would believe the hammer, we don't need that kind of player, we need a younger striker with no baggage

Agree0 Disagree0

If your going to post what albertz said at least post the whole article, the other part said how good a striker he is to have scored the amount of goals he has in germany

5 million to be spent by midnight tomorrow! McCoist to get a striker and a winger, possibly James Morrison and Jamie Murphy + a loan from an EPL club. Broadfoot and Beattie to leave. Why leave it this late though?! All our business should have been done a month ago!!

Believable8 Unbelievable18

Hope its true mate, would be great signings!

Agree0 Disagree0

5 mil - we aint got 5p

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is whyte going to spend 5M on players in the next day when he has lost out on a possible 4-15M in revenue and on top of that a tax bill case looming over the club?

He wont spend a penny more. we may get a loan deal for a young unproven striker from chelsea or man utd but that will be all.

No scottish club will be willing to do business with gers after the farsical handling of the goodwillie saga. The likes of Jamie Murphy will now have a 1.5M price tag on his head after Wallace moved as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Wishfull thinking my friend. We're doing nothing of note.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance. Hope you're right though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see it, but Morrison is a bit ambitious.

Well bears sorry to sound so negative but todays headlines say it all... While we ponder if Craig 'Tightey' Whyte will shell out £1m for a proven goalscorer.... The Septic are forking out £6m on two young strikers who are no doubt talented but completely unproven!! You have to speculate to accumulate Mr Whyte. If we dont win the SPL it wont be Ally's head on the block believe you me!

Believable15 Unbelievable5

Hate them as much as I do, they are going to have a much stronger and more settled team than us for the Old Firm match and of course this season. We needs miracles fast.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic arent looking to bring in 2 strikers. as they are talking of spending 4M on Baba Diawara alone

Agree0 Disagree0

They are not spending Ł6million, the prices are 2million and 2.2 million so that 4.2 million in total,

that will be covered by the sales of maloney and samaras for estimated about Ł5million,

so really they aint spending anything, they are selling to buy and will have a wee bit left over for there troubles,

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong mate - they are buying two and selling two so technically will hardly be spending a penny

Agree0 Disagree0

Maloney and Samaras for Ł5m? Yeah, and we're going to get the same for Kerkar and Broadfoot...

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont believe what u read in the papers guys, they are making out the deals are done already. Samaras is 5th on a list of strikers sunderland are wanting to bring in. Macheda is quite likely due to man utd connection. Samaras wont be the other, n certainly not for 3m. Maloney is off tho, about 2m. This will fund a deal for one of the strikers they are in for, but bangura has some interest in him from elsewhere so u never know.

End of the day, they need a good cb and an am, their forward line isnt the problem.

Ceptic will be strong up front after they make their signings so we will need fit strong players at the centre of defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think we've enough defenders. If we signed any more we'd have far too many once our injuries have cleared. remember we've only conceded one goal in the league with the defenders we have so they can't be doing too bad. we need l/wing, r/wing and another striker and that should =4iar

Anytime i have seen Mckay he has played well, only seen highlights tho but has more drive and better touch than edu and will match Brown and Kayal for energy. I dont get this need to bring top superstars to a league we have won with buttons for the past 3 years. If Celtic had players like Rooney, Fabregas and Aguero i would share your negativity but as Sion and St Johnstone proved they aint unbeatable. Get behind the new boys instead of writing them off before they have barely settled cos we have a really bad habbit of trying to hound out players like Adam, Hateley and McCoist. We do the supporting and Ally does the managing, thats the deal.

A rangers fan lol aye ok declan, to slag players u have never saw b4 is embarrassing if u ask me, how do u know the australian will be s**te? could turn out to be the best signing of the season for all u know and celtic catching the imagination with 2 pishy young forwards who they havent signed yet anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you have a go at Bedoya? he played like 20mins and chased every ball and got into very good positions and McKay, he hasnt even kicked a ball for us yet Papac before Wallace? f*** UP you dont deserve to call yourself a "fan"

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate u don't sound like you've been a Rangers fan 3 minutes let alone 3 decades, away over to the darkside with talk like that. Your actually trying to judge Bedoya on 20 mins or so of game time and Mckay before you've even seen him kick a ball, get a grip mate we don't need nor want so-called fans like you, We Are The People.

Im embarrassed to have fans like you,we are at the start of the season ,not the end.Ally just came in and has played 442 almost every game even in europe. It takes time for players to get used to not playing 451 or 541 every game. When we have all our players fit and maybe even a couple of loans in by Wednesday, and we are playing bad, then will be the time to moan and complain.

Agree0 Disagree0

You know what to then :
Plain and simple don't call yourself a fan lololol

Defo a celtic fan!

Bratislava was not a defeat it was a massacre. Robbie Keane was on more than the whole Ross Cnty team put together and as for last seasons Caley defeat when almost touching the finishing line, well that was just entertainment from the team that were younger, fitter and better and just couldnt get enough. If Ally got the same backing Lennon got and we had signed Miller, Goodwillie. Conway, Danns, Hemed, Juhasz and then crashed out against Malmo and Maribor then that would be on a par with Ross County. As for Kaunas, well once again the signings came in too late as the manager wasnt backed and following the defeat i think Mendes, Edu and Davis were signed who were good enough to beat Celtic to the title.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop slating start supporting give ally and the team a chance David Murray and the previous board left us in the present position only unity and loyalty will take us out of it get behind the team

Agree0 Disagree0

We may be behind in quality but we are miles ahead is desire and leaders.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good honest post im certainly not being deluded..this team is rank....and if whyte does not get his chq book out soon and buy some quality we are going to be lucky to finnish 3rd at best...we road our luck against aberdeen, we should of got beat.....the 2 penalties GIVEN to us were a god send against ITC. We are talking about getting better...with this lot they beter get there finger out

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on mate, Bedoya only played 20 mins. Wallace looks a cracking player and offers so much more going forward than Papac. We are debt free and although the euro games were disappointing we sit top of the table. Do u honestly think Celtic have any chance with Bellamy?. its a smoke screen from Lawell. Things will settle down and 4 in a row will happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Its fans like you that make me embarressed to call you a fellow gers fans. go support celtic and stop being a part timer follow the team slag the players when the mess up but never say your embarressed to say your a blue bear

Agree0 Disagree0

You speak the truth bigman hard to admit it but thats whats happening and tightey whytey is gonna leave us with a s**tty team

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are embarrassed to be a Gers fans, you never were trully one, through thick and thin. Sounds like you prefer whats going on a Celtic, maybe that should tell you something.

I think ally should have went to another club and made a name for himself before he took this job. Just my opinion, as i think he has made some very basic errors early on, such as taking Naisy off the other week when he was suspended for the next game anyway or using differant formations when he should have stuck with what the players were used to playing untill they had got into the CL and used the new formation in the SPL! he'll always be a gers legend no matter the out come!

Whyte is the rookie here not Ally... Yes he saved us from the bank and tied down our best players but what has he done since then? All I've heard is double talk from this guy like I'll back Ally all the way while offering sh!t money you know will get rejected.

He's cost us a chance at CL entry aswel as EL and he's setting up one of our best ever players for a massive fall due to his inexperiance at running a massive club.

If he had signed the players needed at the start of the summer then he would have given Ally the best possible start to his new role at Rangers.

Now we wont sign anyone even on loan deals when there is automatic entry into the champions league up for grabs for the SPL winners this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong forum son. You've obviously not seen much of Rangers then, Lee Wallace has looked very decent, Bedoya has only played 20mins n put in a decent shift. Mackay's still to play. Bocanegra's profile speaks for itself and Big Goian has looked the part. I'm not going to critisise Ortiz either, i've seen in flashes he's a decent player, just need to find his natural position, prob mid right. WATP and we hate folk like you

Whyte spend the money now and recoup it next year in champions league. We get champion league football next year guarenteed if we win spl.

Believable13 Unbelievable8

True but whyte aint got a clue, feel sorry for ally - broken promises im afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

You'd have thought so eh, then again you'd have thought he'd have put his hand in Ho's pocket this season and we would have been playing in the champions league. False promises, really feel sorry for McCoist cause the guys he's been after are decent... Hemed, Conway, Goodwillie, Danns, Juhasz, Verhoek, Miller etc. 15m my a**e

Agree0 Disagree0

No we dont...we still have to go through 2 qualifiers if we win the league...we dont go straight into the group stages...

dont know where you heard this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Next years champions have to play qualifers to get in to group stage

Agree0 Disagree0

The champions of scotland do not get straight into champios league, top gets into the champions path 2nd into the other section! FACT no scottish teams in champions league for years to come!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you just google it ya clown... Straight into the champions league next season then after that we'll never see it again. If you don't have the intelligence to use google then please believe me, the winners go straight into the group phases. That's why we NEED to win the title

Agree0 Disagree0

Well when you were using google I presume u didn't google the UEFA webpage that might clear this up for ye! Champions of Scotland need to play two qualifiers next season! Simple! Every newspaper and radio phone in have made an issue of putting this straight for weeks! NO automatic qualification
