No just not getting a chance as our midfield is probably the strongest part of our team
Agree0

Its a shame the "strongest part of our team" never actually sees any of the ball since we just punt it up the park all day long

If its your stongest part of the team why miss it out with all the long balls then

I think it was more the fans he loved not really his team mates!
Agree1
Disagree0
Didn't he slag off Scottish football after he left Rangers? Meaning the SPL so why would he move to Div 3?
Anyway, he's a person, the only man I've been ashamed of Rangers signing.
Agree1
Disagree0
Com on guys if we got him then great lets just get behind the team who ever it is fair enough he is trouble but wat a player he is
Agree2
Disagree1
Ed he signed a non-contract agreement
Agree0
Disagree0
Hardly any ex-team mates left. Plus he wasn't any good the first time. Our team badly needs pace. Some fearless youthful imagination wouldn't go a miss but I'd settle for atleast pace! Mr unpredictable is none of those things
Agree0

The guy is an absolute car crash. He will disrupt whatever harmony still remains in the team and have a negative impact on all new/young players and any chance of team bonding. Woe betide he who signs this man.

We could always pay goodwillie on pay per goal ratio wouldnt cost much lol. Lets just stick with Little and mcculloch and concentrate on what weve got. The team we have is more than capable of winning the div 3/2. Everyone thought these smaller teams were gonna be a pushover well we now see thats not going to be the case, its going to be a hard slug and very untidy at times, but hey when in the last few years has the SPL been attractive football. Lets get behind the team and support what we have instead of tearng strips out of the assets we do have at the club.

Templeton will walk into team and stay there. Mate of mine (Higgy) played with his dad (who could play aswel) and says hes the mustard. Lad Paterson looks like the type aswel...... Serious question time: Does anyone know how the SFL Trialist system works?
Just wondering if this is something Rangers can use to their advantage over the next year.
Is there a set limit to how many trialists we can play in a game/season?
Are we able to play the same trialist in numerous games?
Does a trialist have to be unattached or out of contract? Can we say, bring in someone contracted to another club as a trialist?
Do we need to pay a trialist a wage? Or register them officially for a game?
Can we go to another club, ask to "trial" one of their players for a month, maybe give them a fee (effectively signing the player on a short term loan without ACTUALLY signing the player as he'd be a trialist?)
Anyone in the know? {Ed039's Note - You can play 2 trialists for 3 games but after registration embargo wouldn't be able to offer them a deal, they also must be free agents and can not be paid a salary)
Believable4
Unbelievable20
A bit hard when Liam Lawrence just signed a 2 year deal with PAOK a week ago!!

Good God can your morals sink any lower {Ed039's Note - How do you figure? The op was just asking how the trialists system works)
Agree0

Thanks Ed.
So at the very least we could use this avenue if we have a lot of injuries or suspensions
Maybe get some of these guys who have been boasting they'll play for us for free to put up or shut up! {Ed039's Note - potentially yes if a short term fix is required)

Can't help ur selfs cheating can use . the shame never stops ! Angry Morton fan :'( {Ed039's Note - What cheating about it angry Morton fan? It is in the SFL rules is it not?)
Agree0
Disagree0
FFS. I asked a legitimate question about the use of trialists in the SFL, which has been used within the rules by other SFL teams for years, and suddenly I'm trying to find new ways for Rangers to break rules and cheat.
The Paranoid Android brigade are out in force today! {Ed039's Note - Indeed)
Agree1
Disagree0
Still trying to find ways to cheat again when will you ever learn. leon bhoy {Ed039's Note - My word)
Agree0
Disagree1
An angry Morton with a dad that supports Celtic? Everywhere in port Glasgow and greenock.
Agree0
Disagree0
Still folk shouting about us cheating..... but then on the other hand saying that we are a new club/company etc etc
So we had to reform.... start again in the bottom tier, take the punishment for effectively the old regime... but we are still cheating?
Grow up lads... you cant have it all ways! The best you can all do is go away and support your own team and leave us to ours!
Agree0
Disagree0
Before you ask/say yes i am a celtic fan ! cannot believe the gaul of some of yous.after everything your club has been through and all the talk of starting at the bottom and building bridges and trying to claw back some respect......you look for loopholes to get round the transfer embargo? your chairman (who i think is working wonders at the moment i.e put his money where his mouth is unlike other so called rangers men) accepted the ban even though it was ruled illegal in court. he took it on the chin why cant some of the supporters? pay your way like everyone else and stop looking for loopholes. p.s thought the ban was out of order and cant understand why its there! {Ed039's Note - there is no loophole, the SPL clubs voted rangers out and into the SFL, who in turn have a rule about clubs being able to play trialists either as a ay of looking at players in action or for a free agent to help on a short term fix, so how is a loophole being exploited when it is a rule that all SFL clubs can take advantage of)
Agree0
Disagree0
Just adding on to this ed... after a trialists period is up, can he be taken back on as a trialist and play another 3 games? {Ed039's Note - I don't think so, 3 games max I think)
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm from Greenock and I can't stand Morton fans, constantly call me a glory hunter even though ive stuck by my side through thick and thin!
Ive also donated money close to £300 quid in last 5 years to help the Tons youth team, so shut up and go away 'angry ton fan!'
Agree1
Disagree0
The SFL Chairmen and the SFA won't allow sevco/ Newco to find little loopholes to bring players in to break the legal punishment. It just won't happen. Anyone who plays a game in sfl3 needs to be registered with the SFA for that team. The SFA won't register anyone to play for the Newco. {Ed039's Note - Read up on the rules regarding SFL clubs and trialists before you open your mouth and let your belly rumble)
Agree0
Disagree0
Ok ed .why were the newco given a membership when they did not have the proper paperwork to apply in the first place.is it possible they used some kind of loophole to gain entry. leonbhoy {Ed039's Note - You really do know nothing)
Agree0
Disagree0
Is there any way ED, just say they are trialists but pay them in cash. we could use the cash from gate receipts by declaring less in attendance than there actually are. {Ed039's Note - Now that is cheating, and to be honest not from a fan but someone up to mischief)
Agree0
Disagree0
Hi Ed, you erroneously stated further up that the SPL clubs voted Rangers out. That is incorrect. The oldco was still in and the Newco applied to get in for the first time and was overwhelmingly refused entry. Hardly a voting out. Methinks your belly was rumbling. {Ed039's Note - So did they note vote to keep rangers out of SPL?)
Agree0
Disagree0
The fact we are even thinking about using this ruling is pathetic. The players we have, even at the moment are good enough. They are just not performing and neither is the manager. Its a joke {Ed039's Note - Agreed)
Agree0
Disagree0
Are you a Celtic fan?
Agree0
Disagree0
The SPL clubs didnt vote your club out, they voted against your club being allowed straight into the top league. Also it was the SFL clubs who voted you into their league not the SPL clubs
Mikey Bhoy {Ed039's Note - Always quick to rely on this page Mickey)
Agree0
Disagree0
IF we have a mass exodus in January or next summer them we can play trialists for up to 3 games. Trialists need to be unattached so will be out of shape/fitness/form or not good enough to find a club. Did Dundee not use trialists several times the season before last due to circumstances? Neil McCann played and so did a life long fan that played for Lochee junior team I think. Trialists could get us out a hole if we couldn't field a team but it's certainly not something to look at as a way of improving the current squad
Grant
Agree0

If i really do know nothing can somebody, anybody (since ed cant give me an answer)please tell me why the newco were allowed to apply for membership.everybody has bent over backwards and you just cant see it.scotlands shame. leonbhoy {Ed039's Note - Any club can apply for membership, you do not need 3 years accounts)

Is this the same Ben Haim who nearly shut down Portsmouth with his continually excessive wage demands, despite their speedy descent down the English leagues? Doesn't really sound very likely now does it? {Ed039's Note - Ben Haim didn't nearly close pompey down? The guy had a contract and was looking for what was owed to him and has not and will never get the money either so I think it is a little unfair to blame Ben Haim)
Agree0
Disagree0
Away and Combe yer face, they 2 will never sign for Rangers in the 3rd division, besides Liam Lawrence has not long signed for PAOK FC in Greece.
Agree0
Disagree0
Absolutely no chance. Liam Lawrence has recently signed for a Greek team and Ben Haim would be looking for somewhere in the region of £25-30k/week (and in my opinion is not worth £10k) - vastly over-rated defender.

Aye, Mad Vlad will be so keen to sell one of his best players to us, won't he?
Cammy Bell would be a great signing. Class keeper & much more reliable than Alexander. {Ed039's Note - Alexander not reliable enough for the lower rungs of Scottish football, he would walk into any SPL side even with cammy bell at Kilmarnock)
Agree2
Disagree1
Hearts want closer to 500000 and Templeton will be looking for at least 10k week, hes been offered in excess of that by Bristol City
also he is unlikely to play in the 3rd div, a step backwards in his career
Agree0
Disagree0
What is it with you people ? Why would players like David Templeton , Cammy Bell (who is out for 10 weeks) , Ryan Jack and Scott Vernon risk their careers by leaving SPL clubs to sign for a 3rd Division club who's future still hangs in the balance ? Kevin Kyle , Ian Black and Dean Shiels only signed as it was that or the Broo , you lot need to get real lmao

Would it be wise? Where has all this money come from all of a sudden? Why wasn't it there before to pay creditors a greater amount to have more chance of the cva being passed. Also, can someone tell me why we challenged the original embargo when we had no money or Europe anyway? I'm just hoping we're not going down the debt road again, I'm not really seeing signs that we've learned from our mistakes. Someone please put my mind at ease!
