Barry ferguson requests transfer to rangers

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Might have requested it but hopefully he wont get it
Was a MASSIVE barry fan, always fought his corner, thought he was really one of the best midfielders we have had, if he had the players around him would have been even better and allowed to pllay and shine.....

BUT he did get too big for his boots. Arrogance got the better of him. Met the guy a few times and he was a prick all be it a gd footballer.

McCoist needs determination and grit and passion, not that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt agree more with the last post a bigger prick ive yet to meet always rude thought he was better than he was - the kid forgot his roots

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferguson is rangers no one more passionate

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats with everyone demanding to move to rangers, weisse, miller and now barry backpass. whoy next the woman world cup star May Dup

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we don't sign him he had his chance and walked out twice on our club he not as good as he thinks he is

Agree0 Disagree0

I too requested a move to rangers but apparently it doesnt work that way.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who said he walked out twice he didnt walk out twice the move to birmingham was forced after the boozegate thing with scotland :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there a rule now that you cant leave rangers and come back, i agree if they leave for celtic but come to f***, all this youve had your chance barry ferguson has done more for rangers than anybody who writes on this page, i don think he will come back but i would take him back happily, Let him play the holding role and let davis into his game

Agree0 Disagree0

Get him tae fk....Cos no one else wants him..Past it and wisnae that good anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fergie = legend. Blue through and through - always welcome back still be better than edu and mcculloch in the holding role

Agree0 Disagree0

PLEASE PLEASE NO

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance the guy was a huge factor in le guens failure he refused to do what the manager was telling him and he devided the dressing room in two. he was at his best under dick advocaat when he was young and fit then injurys dictated that he cant run two feet to save himself. the second time he we signed him he gave us nothing. better than edu? edus got his whole career in front of him. barry if ur reading this hang up your boots your a wee NED and allways will be a NED.

Agree0 Disagree0

Better tha edu and mculloch at the holding role??????????. aye holding rangers back role. mucker ned chav bampot .

Agree0 Disagree0

Away and boil yer heids he played brilliant last season in the premiership against better players, anybody who thinks he is s**te knows f++k all about football arm chair footballer proberly never kicked a ball in there lifes

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate barry ferguson is way past it now he's 33 and would do nothin in our team

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry ferguson is 33 true played brilliant last season, what age is davy weir

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry Ferguson was fantastic at 21, new captain of his team and full of fire.

We waited 10 years for him to repeat that season, it never happened.
Always wanted to take free kicks, but he was guff, more square balls that Lennon but with less tenacity in midfield (God that hurt to say) and he was always trying to undermine management.

Walter would have kept him and taken the flak if he thought the boy was indispensable, he wasn't.

Next

Agree0 Disagree0

If he came [and god forbid] he would once again think he was bigger than the club since he can play a square ball [or maybe backwards] 2 yards.

RANGERSNEWS ,
Whyte has offered 50K for foster [ aberdeen] ...............ASWEDE
Its getting beyond it now , ASWEDE

Believable9 Unbelievable29

50K is too much. Il say something positive about him, he had good pace.. that was it. passing, dribbling, link up, defending and balls in to the box were shocking,

I remeber a game last yr where he burst down the wing and hit the 1st man 3 or 4 times Rotten

Agree0 Disagree0

For 50k it would be good busness :L descent enoguh squad player for sp;

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you sure it wasnt 50p. is there no young boys we could use to fill that position?

Bursaspor offer 2.5 million for lafferty

Believable1 Unbelievable10

LOL Why dont Bursa buy Gers they are linked with all our players by look of it

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell them to round it up to 85 million and they can have the lot...we could buy a better team with the money and we wouldnt have to play against our ex-players every week.ok you moron hey I just hope you, re not a mormon.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not be surprised tbh however i think its unlikey... esp the 2.5M, they started with a 300k bid for whittaker, doubt they would go straight in for 2.5M for lafferty, only had a gd 2nd half to the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

2.5 million turkish lira maybe hahahaha

Agree0 Disagree0

BIG KYLE HAS TAKEN HIS TIME SETTLING IN BUT MY GOD HE WAS GOOD AT THE END OF THE SEASON , , KEEP THE BIG MAN

Agree0 Disagree0

For £2.5m I would drive him to Turkey. People jumpin on the bandwagon cause he had decent last 8-10 games. Murder, couldn't hit a cows a*se with a banjo at best of times and can't control the ball to save himself. Worst £3.75m Walter ever spent. Nobody can seriously tell me Lafferty is a good footballer. Good riddance Laff, you're a donkey.

Agree0 Disagree0

3.5m ya dafty

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a donkey with medals The big man has his problems but he had a big say on where the league went last season or have we forgotten that already Deserves at least 1 more season as a true blue

Agree0 Disagree0

How many years is left on his contract? might be worth getting rid his head is wasted and his house is full of dog crap nothing but greif imo. 10 good games in 3 seasons?.

Agree0 Disagree0

All people saying he should go .... surly he has done well enough to secure he gets a run up front atleast for first 8-10 games of next season. He got played up front and for me was our best performer at end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bursaspor are a wanabee rangers

leicester city are apparently interested in Kyle Lafferty... tbh i just simply read it on another rumours page, no mothers pals gardeners dog groomer pish to be claimed.

Believable2 Unbelievable10

I hope this isn't true I know he has been a bit hit and miss, maybe more miss than hit. But I honestly think he will come good this season ( honestly i'm not mentally disturbed) I think him a jela can be a great partnership this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pure nonsense but you should have a look at their forum and really see what they are trying to sign and it wouldnt be very laffertyable...

Agree0 Disagree0

Who the hell are leicester not in for they will end up with 2 teams

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, i made excuses for him for 2 yrs then last season threw the towel in with him..tail end last season he was really good. seemed after the league cup final he got his confidence back.

to the dude the hit out with the laffertyable comment.. I dont even know what thats suppose to mean, you obvs were going for wittiness, failed btw. As i said i read it on another forum... not claiming it to be true... Just like wen ppl used to say ur mrs was a slag, just a rumour ;-)

Gers join the race for jay bothroyd source english sunday mail

Believable25 Unbelievable7

There is nothing in any papers about this. If QPR cant afford his wages neither can we. I think you mau be getting confused as he is linked qith QPRangers not us.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the wrong Gers it's the Gers based at loftus Rd QPR

Agree0 Disagree0

Your source doesnt exist... the sunday mail is a (SCOTTISH NEWSPAPER) the sunday version of the daily record (SCOTTISH NEWSPAPER)

Maybe if you had said the sun, mirror, echo what ever. Makes me think you are talkinjg s**t... Feel free to come back with what paper said it??

Agree0 Disagree0

Uz have no chance heard he wants 25k a week to go to qpr
daviebhoy08

{Ed010's Note -I agree Davie, according to numerous posts on the Celtic pages, I thought he was in the bag for your club. Is that still likely ? Regards.

Agree0 Disagree0

Load of guff

IF TRUE TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN, , ALEXANDER IS NOT THAT FAR BEHIND GREEGS IN ABILITY

Agree0 Disagree0

HEREH HERE M8, FEEL SORRY FOR ALEXANDER SOME TIMES

JAK

Agree0 Disagree0

No less than 12 million

Agree0 Disagree0

When you read the sun the morra, I bet you'll feel a right knob.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let the person go alexander a far better keeper take the money and buy goodwillie and the boy wakllace fae hearts

breakthrough in the goodwillie transfer. 1.4 million plus kirk broadfoot . and young john fleck on season long loan. united also get 10 percent sell on fee. announcement on tuesday

Believable17 Unbelievable16

What is the big deal about getting Goodwillie ? Yes, he's scored a few goals but he comes with baggage. How would he cope being in the goldfish bowl ? Personally I'd rather we miss out. We have Jela, Laff, Naisy and now Healy. I'd rather see some activity at centre half.

4IAR.

Agree0 Disagree0

Breakthrough my ass, Fleck will not be going anywhere if we fail in getting our targets nor does Fleck deserve a start, as he really should be getting his finger out, Diouf and Wiess were ahead of him and that says alot. Anyhow Goodwillie can stay were he is don't want him at Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

If you weren't talking Pish you would have a source.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers may loose 2 defenders they are not in a position to pass on Broadfoot. No Carlos and Weir can not go on for ever. Yes they are trying with a highish sell on fee maybe 25% + £1.5m and again Fleck, Rangers squad is simply too thin to release any players

Agree0 Disagree0

Broadfot is seen as a valuable utitlity squad player at ibrox and unlikely to be moving on

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt this very much as Ally said he needed
numbers in defense so why sell a versatile defender who can do the job Rikki Foster did last season, im sure if kirk had not been injured then he would have featured more, i thought he was outstanding against Bursaspor when they came to Ibrox, pretty sure he set up the goal for Naismith.

HBN

Agree0 Disagree0

How long did it take you to think that one up? Away back to bed. LOL ha ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

I very much doubt that they would give two players away when we really need the players in the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Goodwillie not coming to rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

We would be mad to let Boradfoot go when we are so short on defenders.

Agree0 Disagree0

There we are now another fairy story did your mother read the big bad wolf story all the time or something to you? why dont you go away back and ask her how it finished.

Agree0 Disagree0

Talkin s()t mate i know john (fleck) and hes going nowhere told by super ally

Agree0 Disagree0

AFTER READING ALL ABOVE MSG'S AM SURPRISED BUT HAPPY AWE YOU GUYS RATE BIG BROADERS, WE NEED AWE THE PLAYERS WE'VE GOT TOO BE STAYIN PUT, AND AS FOR BADWILLIE, DINY NEED HIS BAGGAGE AT THE BROX, NEEDS TOO HEAD SOUTH, GROW UP & SHOW WE SHOULD SIGN HIM, PLAYERS WILL BE COMING IN, JUST BE PATIANT

JAK

Agree0 Disagree0

Healy jela lafferty beattie fleck naismith F*CK GOODIE

Agree0 Disagree0

No way should we be getting rid of big Kirk. Money or nothing for goodie

Agree0 Disagree0

Hang on guys, what does that say we value broadfoot at 600k? what rubbish if diddy teams are holding out for over the million mark for their unproven talent then why should we let our decent players go for less, as maggie thatcher once said "poppycock"

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok broadfoot is just a wee it simple to say the least but he bleeds blue and imo hes worth keeping.

{Ed010's Note -I totally agree my friend but only because Broadfoot is versatile and because of that, he is an asset to our club. That is why Ally is so keen to tie down Whittaker to a new contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kirk does give us as much as hes got but hes not the best.

If we got whittaker ona new deal he wont get a game ahead of him.. He will be 2nd choice and i dont think he will ever play CB unless ppl are injuried.

Sorry but kirk broadfoot is a squad player, id throw him in to get goodwilliie. He has what it takes to be a rangers and scotland legend, needs guidance..

Big lee will knock 7 shades of s**te out of him and then stop acting like a wee ned in the town.

In reply to the guy about chelsea i heard the centre back jefrey bruma is a possible target if we faily to get bartley. Anyone else heard this .

Believable3 Unbelievable32

rangers are to attempt to get a 1 or more chelsea players on loan this summer, ian durrant is to talk to villas-boas about it

full article on source = uk.eurosport.yahoo

me personally, i am thinking possibly mceachran or kakuta

Believable12 Unbelievable16

Would love Kakuta, McEchran and Sturridge

Agree0 Disagree0

Lots of possible loanees from chelsea mcechran would be amazin

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should be realistic. there is no way we will get McEcharan - he was the only young guy to break through to the first team last year and will make the 25 man squad easily. Kakuta is also valued at around £10mil and we have no chance of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe kakuta or sturridge

Agree0 Disagree0

Will probably be ben gordon who was at kilmarnock

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe van aanholt now it looks like we wont be getting wallace

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you need a left back is papac off?

Agree0 Disagree0

Left back need cause papac is really s**t from a true gers fan veiw

Agree0 Disagree0

Papac is the most reliable consistant player we have and should be the next captain

Agree0 Disagree0

Durrant has said he has congratulated villas-boas and that they are friends, im sure he has other friends asking for the same favours so i wouldnt build my hopes up, there was more than Durrant doing his coaching badge with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure about next captain but he's definitely one of our best consistent defenders

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea palyers to Rangers?? Not in this life time.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've heard Durrant met him while doing his badges.I dint know how far you can look into it?would prefer Bartly as you know what you are getting.

Rangers going to wait and see who doesnt make the chelsea 25 man squad before making a move to loan some "stars" - Sunday Mail

Believable25 Unbelievable15

Ed, is there a limit to the number of loanees in this coming season ?

{Ed010's Note -oh no ! the dreaded question lol

I'm setting myself up for a fall here no doubt but this is what I think the regulations are. Scottish football clubs who sign loan players from other Scottish clubs, can have a maximum of 4 loan signings at any one time. Of those 4 players, only one can be over the age of 21 at the time of first registration.

Scottish football clubs can have an indefinite amount of loan signings from clubs outwith Scotland and the u21 rule does not count either.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is really going on at Ibrox, is Mr Craig "Romanoff" Whyte really the Rangers man he would have us believe or just some "Del boy" with a good turn of the tongue, Ally needs a certain class of player to do anything next season, not kids from other teams reserves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed hi pal u heard any rumours at all not even been linked with any new names thanks

{Ed010's Note -no new names today but as it's a Sunday, that is not too surprising, my friend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers ed, I was unsure. another dreaded question, If we get Goodwillie, do you believe he will be in the starting line up? and if he is not, this could indicate why Whyte values him as a squad player on lower wages. agree / disagree bears ?

{Ed010's Note -very few players who sign for new clubs will ever accept that they are going to be a "squad player". If Goodwillie signs, he will in my opinion, start in most games with Jelavic. I have said before and I will say it again, I would have a lot of sympathy with Lafferty if this proves to be the case.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed do you honestly believe whyte is the best for us hate saying it but starting to have my doubts especially with ally mccoist statement on sky sports new big names thanks buddy

{Ed010's Note -the answer to the first part of your question is strictly a hypothetical one as there wasn't an alternative package on offer, well that's not strictly true, we could have stuck with the bank running our club. So since the buy out was the only option (in my opinion), then Craig Whyte has to be the option for us. The alternative was for Lloyds to continue running our club and I have no doubt that we would be discussing our top players being sold, rather than these players potentially being given new contracts and new players being signed.

In truth, I think that people may be reading to much into Ally's statement. When I first read it, my immediate thoughts were that he wasn't going to spend all his money on one or two marquee signings but spread the money as wide as possible to bring in more players. Only time will tell though.

Agree0 Disagree0

F*** sake is that wat were reduced to?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope its someone good like sturridge

SPL could ditch SKY and ESPN TV deals to maximise income from other broadcasters

Agree0 Disagree0

Better chance of seeing NESSYthan young Ness in an Arsenal jersey.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know this?

Agree0 Disagree0

Boys im gers daft and live in drumoyne, see the stadium every day, love it.im not givin credit to the story but a few months ago i read on the arsenal pages that they gunners fans did notice ness, they thought he looked a player, wylde too.not sayin the stories true but just bein honest

whitts handing outtrophies in bonnyrigg last weekend, drives upin a white porsche, said he was 100% staying

Believable11 Unbelievable26

No-one can say 100% staying when the transfer window is still open. If Rangers get a strong bid for him I'm sure they will quickly look at alternatives to replace him and if he is offered the right money them im sure he will be off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is from bonnyrigg LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye he's going to tell some non-entity his future plans Him and the missus tyring for a baby too?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whittaker drives a White audi s4 not a porche mate so this is bull.because I worked at his house

Agree0 Disagree0

Never mind the replies if lee wallace is rated at 3 million by his club whittaker has to be worth 4million at least could get 4 half decent players for that for at least a season what the he*l are we waiting for try and get 3million for him ..take their hand off ....and if hes not good enough they, ll take his b.... off who cares sell him now..plenty more milky bar kids around..

Arsenal are intrested in Jamie Ness and have asked Rangers if they can take him on a 2 week trial .

Also Rangers were quoted a price of 5million for Vladimir Weiss but Rangers are willing to pay maximum 3million for him . (The good thing about the Weiss situation that if he doesnt get loaned out he would have to be regestered on Man City's 25 man squad and i dont really think Mancini thinks he's ready for first team yet .)

Rangers have been offered Wayne Routledge and Leon Best and are considering making an offer for players.

Rangers are also in talks with wigan for the season long loan of James Mcarther .

And i hear that Rangers are willig to throw in John Fleck and cash for the services of David Goodwillie .

Believable20 Unbelievable27

Rangers won't let Ness go to Arsenal on trial not when they gave him a new 3 year contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope all of this is true except wouldn't like to see Jamie Ness go. He's born and bred Rangers lifelong supporter and is a monster talent despite injurys. The passes he was playing against Celtic were like Arsenals style of play. But to see a young Rangers man go on to play for Arsenal wouldn't be too bad either. WATP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever happens KEEP NESS, he is a stick out, hope when Man city announce pool if WEISS noy in it he plays silly buggers as i am sure he really wants to come back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you realise Mr Bests previous club as a kid was Lourdes Celtic, so doubt this one very much

Agree0 Disagree0

So aresnal want ness very much doubt it u saw the players they want ffs

Agree0 Disagree0

John "I eat too many pies" fleck

Agree0 Disagree0

What you heard is wrong i know john fleck and he has been told personally by super ally that he is going nowhere and is needed for gers rangers will not sign goodwillie and he will play with cardiff with-in 24 hrs

Agree0 Disagree0

Never heard so much rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

THE INFO I POSTED CAME FROM SOMEONE IN THE RANGERS FAMILY .
HE WAS ALSO THE PERSON THAT TOLD ME ABOUT WEISS LAST YEAR WHEN I PUT ON THIS RUMOUR SITE WELL BEFORE IT WAS RELEASED IN PAPERS .

Agree0 Disagree0

These are all fairy tales

Agree0 Disagree0

Fleck you couldnt give him away , Goodwillie will go south , Ness will be sold if the Whyte money is offered, Weiss , well cant see GS spending their whole budget on him.Bad times ahead

Agree0 Disagree0

This is rubbish ness is never going to arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

Well wilson went to liverpool and arsenal do like to buy youngsters it far off but not compeletely inpossible

Agree0 Disagree0

Am apal of wee james do you realy think hed go out on loan, is this the same guy who liverpool are lookin at for £8/10mil
bawbag

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds fan in peace what's the chances of you lot signing smith?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcarthur is a first team player why would wigan loan him out? pure rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Struggled too get a game last season went through school wi um still in touch homesick severely

Agree0 Disagree0

Jamie Ness is good but not Arsenal class i'm afraid to say..McArthur on loan..not good enough..the rest are plausable..I wouldn't want Fleck going to Dundee Utd though...
