David Goodwillie is supposed to be our top target for January. Word is that contact has already been made and the lad is up for the idea. Comes from Stirling market. His mum and sister in law. Whether it's possible is another thing but this is the talk. Rumours eh.

the boy didn't want to come when we wanted him first time round so why the change of heart is this because he has had a reality check and knows he made the wrong decision well if he does come has to prove himself this season as really spat in our faces a few years back {The Ed039's Note - No he didnt, Rangers just come up with offer after offer United would accept)

Would be a great signing. can't see it though.

hes at dundee united on loan don't see him back in the blackburn team anytime soon so could see it happining provern spl striker or as now spfl so to come to rangers would only be a plus but when is this deal ment to happen january of next summer?

and does this mean we have dropped miller intrest as I think this would be a better deal much younger player this is coming into his best year for a player

@1 about goodwillie well said ed! he spat on are face! Are you having a laugh? No he didn't if anybody did it was peter houston about saying the boy would get stabbed in Glasgow if he joined and Thompson and Dundee utd for not excepting our bids (all 7 of them) therefore us not being aloud to talk to goodwillie, there were NEVER any talks between the player and Rangers

It tells you Goodwillie was told and prob paid well (bonuses) to say that, but do you know for certain he said that or was it paper talk?

Firstly it's pie in the Sky and secondly. as has previously be acknowledged on these pages. Dundee Utd wouldn't accept an offer for Goodwillie under any circumstances because their chairman knew that Rangers were for all intents and purposes insolvent.

I would not want dg at ibrox he caries to much bagage you must have short memories

Regardless o fthe baggage etc how much would it take to buy him? Possibly 1 mil or there abouts and do we need to spend that amount of money now (that we probably don't have ) to win the SPFL div 1! FFS please all grow up and FORGET big name signings at least for this year.

If we could make it happen this would be a great season. It hasn't worked out for him at Blackburn but it's obvious when you see him play for Dundee United that the quality is still there. I reckon Blackburn would be willing to get rid of him on the cheap as they have about 9 other strikers. I don't see why it matters that we apparently "don't need him to win League 1". IF we can afford him now, get him now. He might have other offers next summer.

Thompson didn't except the bids because he knew he wouldn't get the money and rangers wouldn't pay up front bearing in mind we went into admistration 2 weeks later!as for goodwillie would be a good signing for us!

This guys on the case. Heard the same rumour last week at Stirling market where his mum works. Must admit, he's got some amount of negative baggage with him though.

@6) laughing my boll*cks off here! So it was Peter Houston, Thompson and Dundee Uniteds fault but no mention whatsoever of Rangers? Rangers who made 7 offers, none of which matched Blackburns. Mate your a comedian. I suppose in your mind Dundee Utd should have realised you where the glorious Glasgow Rangers and took what you were offering and liked it? The arrogance and ignorance staggers me at times. Why don't you pull your head out of your ar*e, Craigy Whyte never had the funds to buy Goodwillie. Rangers were already in trouble then and he knew it, just the fans didn't. It was all to appease the fans and make it look like you were chasing a player the fans wanted. The lad would have went to the Premiership even if Rangers had made an acceptable bid and been allowed to talk contracts with him anyways. No doubt about it.

Dundee unt would not accept an offer from rangers.? He is not a Dundee unt player. Ya donut, He is still a Blackburn player. He is only at unt on loan.

I think they meant when he was a dundee united player. I think you will find you my son are the donut lol
