AEG are americans wanting us, confirmed on SSN, these guys could invest heavily! hope so, either them or blue knights i hope, the germans are craig whytes people so go away please!!

Believable15 Unbelievable44

What you on about aye gud one someone dosnt want rich german bidders for our club i smell a rat here good try looks like some quarters are panicking with our couple of hundred million investment looks like we are back bears roll on next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it true about aeg, i havent watched ssn in a few hours, but i broke the news on here hours ago that its aeg.....jsm {Ed001's Note - I haven't seen anything from Sky regarding it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If the "big" tax case is lost plus other creditors will the micky Glasgow Rangers (In Administration) be a viable proportion? Don't think so

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah you liar lol, nothing on ssn, i thought i had it right, but im still confident its aeg, its all hush hush now from the administrators till next week, then we will all know ....jsm

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense, Bill Miller is the American. And the German bid will be trumped by the Singapore bid which is alledgedly the best deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good news about the bidders any bears want to hand out some humble pie humble pie anyone big investment soon so people will be greetin humble pie anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like the jelly and ice cream has melted
humble pie anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do people lie and say confIrmed on ssn when we can all see that it clearly hasnt been confirmed n it's more likely to actually be someone else anyway n not aeg

Agree0 Disagree0

The germans who have put a bid in are the royal family

Agree0 Disagree0

Millionaire? Big investment? Heard it all before will wait till players are on the park first

Agree0 Disagree0

Humble pie? UEFA and the Sfa have still to dish out their punishments and the bidders have still got to get thro due diligence so I'm going to wait before I say anything to Timmy

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know the German bid has anything to do with Craig Whyte?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Please large a large quantity of humble pie to Clyde one abd stand over them laughing while they are forced to eat it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Please everbody calm down! No matter how rich these guys are they didn't get there by throwing good, hard-earned money after bad.

They will only proceed with as little liability as possible and work out a business plan over several years which will demand as big a return as possible for the minimum necessary initial investment be it via a VCA or Liquidation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig whyte?white 30 million pay off.hmrc 60 million+. ticketus 24 million if their bid fails.the only way forward for the rankers is liq liq liquidation so get real ps hmrc dont do deals the deal they will do is pay up or bankrupt and will take castle grey scull and murray midden park off you

Agree0 Disagree0

Aeg are also an electical goods company in germany

Agree0 Disagree0

right first thing im happy with the bids coming in as i thought we could be in trouble at 4.45pm to be honest, second as watching a number of financial experts say that there must be a deal with hmrc as liqudation would cost the club in in all areas , i believe that we will avoid it(fingers crossed) i know a certain amount of other fans would love to see it and have became financial experts in the past 4 months and eating a hell of a lot of jelly, i do believe we will pay our debts and move on, which will be better for the whole of spl which some teams forget.. p.s if it is aeg i must admit it does get my senses going.
craigandbabybear

Believable25 Unbelievable18

Don't believe a word D&P say mate they are peddling us any old rubbish and we are desperate to believe it there's no way we will get a cva why would anyone plough at least £70 mill into a spl team with no Europe season ticket sales or players as majority have now got clauses to say they can go in summer for buttons! We are goina have to liquidate and start afresh with a fan based consortium.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, it will be better for everyone if rangers pay all their debts. Then they can continue as a club and i can stop eating all this jelly and ice cream, im going to be too fat for the beach at this rate

Agree0 Disagree0

Big tax case! Tax, interest and penalties if lost, £70 mill according to Whyte. HMRC wanted to wind up Hearts when there bill was washers compared to RFC (In Administration). Murray is expecting a CVA based on creditors at the moment but if "big" case is lost? Liquidation don't you think.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way will rangers liquidate these are good bids for the club and future investment a few big money bids in the 4 bids wait and see

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally as a life long Celtic fan, I would like to see Rangers pay what they are due, take any punishment handed out by SPL and Uefa and get back to football matters as this is boring the crap out of me and many other decent football fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope for everyone’s jobs and the numerous small creditors that this is a good offer and they at least get some of their money back. Personally I don’t give a flying f*** what happens to Rangers but hope in the wake of this rules are changed, never again should financial doping on this scale be allowed with little penalty. Rangers may well come out of this debt free (either liquate or CVA) but the image of the club is tarnished (no more WATP or dignity) and by association do is the SPL

Danny Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I keep hearing about big money bids, Rangers is not worth big money and it cannot make big money, in fact it has consistently lost big money. There will be no big money offers, these people are businessmen, it is their job not to spend big money unless the returns justify it.

There is going to be a lot of Gers fans in tears when this all unravels, it will take years to recover.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know Gers fans just want all this mess to go away in one fell swoop and some sugar daddy to step in and make everything alright.

Unfortunately this is is not some fairy tale, it is a nightmare of incredible proportions. Expect a long painful haul out of this can of worms, you cannot expect 10 years of financial mismanagement to just disappear overnight.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sick of reading posts from celtic fans calling all us rangers fans cheats and all the rest, remember, we had nothing to do with the situation at rangers we are just money to business men so its not our fault some people have been taking the preverbial and we are more outraged and embbarased than you lot so shut it , and concentrate on your own side winning the title with flair rather than the below average performances of late, you might be about to become champions but just remember we ran over the top of yous twice this season so that dont say much for your mediocre team.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2012 22:18:56
hear is a good point for us to think about see if you are going to buy a bussiness you
wouldnt let anyone no you were buying it till the deal is done not mouth off to anyone that will listing u do buisness privatley and thats what is happning way these other bidders

Believable18 Unbelievable14

Outside bet for the American Consortium. - ENIC Group under the business name of Tavistock Group. Remember Joe Lewis?

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember him Mohammed Ali sparked him out in the 60's......Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Rematch with Craig Whyte would be worth seeing

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting regarding Joe Lewis. But don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve your boxing knowledge is as good as your football knowledge zilch.Ali never fought Lewis. {Ed001's Note - he did fight Joe Lewis, Joe Lewis was a Karate champion and they fought an exhibition bout in Tokyo (if I remember correctly), though I think it was in the 70s. He never fought Joe 'Brown Bomber' Louis though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the reason is simple..D&P don,t want to look stupid naming bidders as with club9 they will tell your fans they have no interest in buying lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Head in sand my friend

Agree0 Disagree0

Darrell King on talksport .Saying Apart from BK bid the other 3 are all about asset stripping ,Liquidation

Believable38 Unbelievable23

AEG do not asset strip and liquidate so more Barry White from him !

Agree0 Disagree0

How wud he kno? No details have been spoken of

Agree0 Disagree0

Clutching at straws timothy u no we be back and a bit of money behind us easily go 10 in a row watp

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same Darryl King who stated he SAW the dual contracts for players? It's comforting to know that Duff and Phelps are willing to consult him for professional guidance on the bids eh :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah cause Darnell king gets it right all the time . Mmm

Agree0 Disagree0

No-one is going to throw money away on a Scottish team. Plus, how is the OP a timmy for reporting something heard on the radio?! Grow up and grow a brain if you think that all Rangers' problems are over because of bids.

Agree0 Disagree0

AEG are not the American bidders. That is fantasy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha even thou SSN have said about 12 times in the last hour that no other details have been given about the other bids....im sorry but even thou this was heard on the radio it is alot of scare mongering nonsence with someone with no insider knowledge, so at this moment in time i would totally ignore, and to the above poster who said noone would throw money away at a scottish team, its the exact same as all the owners of the clubs down in england, they plough millions in and get no return, its the same everywhere in football just now, Rangers have a slight advantage as any potential investor will not have to invest stupid cash to get us into the champions league every year becoz our league is so poor, in england unless your one of the top 4 elite, Man Utd, City, Arsenal , Chelski, its virtually impossible to break in.

So positive thinking and good news for Rangers fans, and i would rather listen to the financial expert who was on the news earlier saying it would be a disaster for any potential buyer to liquadate than some celtic minded radio punter!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't hear the comment, but Darryl King can't be considered as Celtic minded, he is a big Rangers fan! Lets just wait and see fellow bears as I would happily walk before we can run. Whilst I would love it to be a big investor, we need to ask ourselves where were these investors when we had a debt of £18m and SDM was willing to sell us for a £1? I hope i'm wrong and its some billionaire willing to settle the debt and out a decent side on the park, but to stabilise us i'd settle for a bunnet type figure!

Agree0 Disagree0

Delusion confirmed in the post above that says Darrell King is Celtic-minded!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone with half a brain knew it was liquidation all along.

i don't think its asset stripping, its reality, nobody has a spare 60 to 100 million for your history!

Agree0 Disagree0

Idiocy confirmed as above post clearly states that he is NOT Celtic minded. Learn to read properly

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely truthful, Singapore, USA and Europe bids are all about Liquidating first.

Newco only bidders with all bids conditional on EBT HMRC case.

Agree0 Disagree0

Illiteracy confirmed as there IS a post that claims he is Celtic-minded. The 'delusion confirmed' post was in response to that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Inside information from another journalist in Scotland who have collectively had not a clue since Whyte takeover......."positive & constructive" bids said D&P......liquidation is not constructive.
BTW.....have Celtic not got a game to practice bottling for at the weekend?

Agree0 Disagree0

Have met darrell king at new st mirren park and i can assure you that darrell is a true blue. some people unfortunately take offence to a journalist who is upfront and honest about what's happening at rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's right everything gonna be alright now.... Get millions for players an pay millions in wages like old times HAHA GET A GRIP head in sand yet again wake up FFS

Agree0 Disagree0

It doesn't matter who D&P select as the best bidder, Craigy bhoy Whyte wants £30m for his shares/ secured creditor payback.

And after that, HMRc want £15m and £75m = £90m and Ticketus £25.3m.
ONLY liquidation sorts that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Above poster correct tens of millions of pounds needed to save your club and it's history. Nobody with that kind of cash to throw away loves your club that much. It's either the Barron Knights and years of misery or you'll all be changing your team next season ......Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Daryl king was all for craig white at the start and put the boot into bain , alister johnstone and the rest of the old board , now we should all listen to these guys

Agree0 Disagree0

TBK bid will undoubtedly be the weakest of all four.
D&P saying they will select a primary bidder by end of next week and work with them to end of season before exiting Administration.
However bidder may wish to exit with Liquidation and HMRC case will force liquidation, in which case all debts cancelled and CW sells Assets for £30m to bid winner.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the weekend we've all been waiting for! Easter Sunday the day after we become Champions and i've no had a swally for 40 days bring it on........Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

All joking aside, I find it absolutely incredulous that out of the whole world theres only four groups interested in taking a punt on distressed Gers. Out of a planet of 7 Billion people, this is the only interest?
And 3 of the bidders are not from the UK or have any previous relationship with Rangers. Not Rangers minded at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Head in the sand time ppl how can there be any serious bids before the BTC is resolved , the Bk bid is the only one based on a CVA that would hamstring the club for yrs better to liquidate with pts off and start again with no debt

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are celik fans deperate for us to liquidate , if that happens 4or5 clubs would go under , no decent sky deal , no player with any decent pedgree would sign for celtic , no fone ins , big drop in newspaper sales , redundencies to football reporters and pundits , after about 2years celtic playing in front of 25thousand crowds , redundenies in trains and subways and bus drivers of supporters buses and so on , so on ,if we go out of buisness celtic football club is as flat as a pancake along with the rest of scottish football

Agree0 Disagree0

The German bid will win 'exclusivity' next Thursday. WHY?
Because CW and Ellis brought them in.
And D&P will do the needful.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celik, timothy or shelik, why not evolve to this century and type Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

To say these 4 bidders wont put in large investment is stupid talk why go down the route of liquidation if they are investing hundreds of millions in our club all this talk is scaremongering no way will rangers be liquidated we are too big a club

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't get that
Craig Whyte is the asset stripper, no?

Agree0 Disagree0

Are the USA bidders Fortress?
The guys Ellis and Whyte were briefing?
Singapore is linked to Ticketus.
And Der Germans ? Long lost cousins?
I hope TBK get it cause that's s train crash waiting to happen. Honestly PM is riding on a wing and a prayer.
What we do know for sure is that D&P are getting paid to the end of the season and CW will be owner to end of season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here are the facts fellow bears there will be no liquidation fairy story the new owners will either pay off all our debts or go through a cva i would like to see all the debts paid off the german bid seems the best option as i believe there will be real money invested if it goes to a cva i think it will be the blue knights we cant lose both ways great news for a change

Agree0 Disagree0

Good news for our club at last jelly and ice cream has melted
humble pie anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

It really does show how small minded the shellick fans really are, if Rangers were liquidated it would have massive consequences for Scottish Football including them, however their hatred of Rangers runs deeper than even their love for their own club, and this whole saga has just reinforced that, the truth of the matter is that nobody but the bidders and the admin know what is happening, so all you timothys cling to the hope Rangers will be liquidated because that is the only way you will win anything in the next few seasons, because despite you lot thinking the shellick ara pure best team in I wurld anat, you lot are rotten.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anybody comment on the bids we only know where they are from we don't know what the bids are, what conditions are, after yrs of lies from Murray and Whtye I want to wait to see the actual money and players before I celebrate ( sorry I sound a bit down but whole situation has been a joke)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ill say this the future is Blue!

Agree0 Disagree0

Here are the facts fellow bears there will be no liquidation.
----------------------------------------

Neither you nor I know the facts and obviously liquidation is a realistic business option. As for the BK, their bid mostly consists of the Ticketus 27 million, not much in there for other creditors to agree to.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's cos he's an arse licking appologist for paul Murrey

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster who believes Rangers are too big a club to liquidate, you are simply deluding yourself.

Rangers is a big fish in a tiny pond, it is not a global brand and is a football minnow with a small turnover.
RFC isn't the Bank of Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Darrell King will have 3 different exclusive interviews then?

Agree0 Disagree0

If I was a business man no way would I invest in a business where the true level of debt is unknown (BTC and possible fines/sanctions from uefa/sfa ) keep real wait til all bids are revealed and an actual buyer is in place.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL talksport.....seriously who listens to any of the pish on there??

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2012 19:02:08
Anyone know who the german lot are? apperently a suprise BID apperently!

Good news at last for the mighty Glasgow Rangers, lets get out of admin get a CVA and focus on getting the championship back to where it belongs!

PS i have no idea have the americans are either it is NOT club 9 sports accoring to SSN, wonder who it will be...exciting!!

Believable24 Unbelievable32

Bit random, but what is our link with Hamburg SV ? Because they're German

Agree0 Disagree0

The German bid is from a lady called Mrs Sax-coburg i believe from a palatial residence in London

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully it will be a 200 million pounds investment here we go onwards and upwards great news

Agree0 Disagree0

It is a man from Germany with a Scottish dad. His name is David Mcallister. He has been looking at getting a hold of the club for a few months now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Igor landau and herbet hainer

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we all think it is great news. We thought Craig whyte was great news and look how that turned out. We should wait and see what time brings

Agree0 Disagree0

Disney world

Agree0 Disagree0

It aint that exciting get oot of admin lose the big tax case then back in admin yassss great news

TB

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody will buy before liquidation

Agree0 Disagree0

Its no dave mcallister he is in poltics in germany so no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Lmfao . Exciting being in administration about to be liquidated is it? You sandheeds need a reality check talking about 100's of millions of pounds going to be invested in your debt ridden club. Do you honestly believe that a foreign takeover is going to have your club at heart, they will liquidate you without batting an eye. Remember it is Scotland you play your football..........Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

It's Mrs Saxe - Coburg and Gothe.

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy's name is David McAllister, a German born to Glaswegian parents and president of a region in Germany.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hamburg fans

Agree0 Disagree0

When did it become hundreds of millions then? You must be using that Seville calculator again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don,t know the guys name but heard he was going to create a new master race, so nothing new there really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ehhh look up dude 200 millions , is that not hundreds ???????????

Agree0 Disagree0

Herr Craig wertarbeit is his name........Catweazle-talkingbone.

Agree0 Disagree0

3rd reply down ya Ostrich.....Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

'Mighty' Rangers? Haw de Haw Haw!!
There's nothing 'Mighty' about your players in tears at Murray Park and wee ally only man enough to stand outside the door to 'comfort and support' them.

Didn't take u long to get that much disliked rangers arrogance back did it?

BTW it's still liquidation or 15 years crippling indebtedness.

Agree0 Disagree0

SV Hamburg is another rancid organisation. No wonder you lot brag about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

'apperently' - isn't that how Queen Liz says apparently?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish the lot of you, rangers or other supporters who comment on this page, would grow up and face the reality instead of slagging each other off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah herd the yanks ur cauld S CLUB 7
reach up for the stars..........

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm facing reality no namer....Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Brother who lives in munich says they a large group who have companies like aldi & lidl under there umbrella - say's the probably want ibrox to build a super store for aldi or lidl

Agree0 Disagree0

The german bid proves that rangers fc is a world brand massive worldwide support great staduim great training faciltys no way will the german bid go for liquidation rangers has too much positive in its favour i can see why the german bid would invest with a few hundred million they would get their money back once the club gets back to normal goes to prove we have worldwide appeal some people said we would die no chance exciting times ahead bears some people will be squirming

Agree0 Disagree0

Looking good bears huge investment from the german bid ive heard tonight the mighty rangers are back

Agree0 Disagree0

Delusional as is par for the course

Agree0 Disagree0

Sour grapes by some folks me thinks some folks are greetin already not even happy that bidders are investing in our great club and for the better of scottish football if it was another club i would be happy sets a better brand i want all scottish clubs to do well some people would love to see our club die only in scotland eh

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it with scotland no one wants us to come out of admin us rangers fans have had 7 bad weeks time to grow up scotland

Agree0 Disagree0

A CVA is cheating on the debt you owe, pay up like every other club has to do, if you go to CVA your club will be tarnished for ever more!

Agree0 Disagree0

If the German's have so much money why don't they invest in a team in their own country?

Could it be because the leagues over there demand that clubs a ran on a fiscally basis?

Like most did when Whyte took over, they see the perception of money and road to buying success and are not asking the questions of who are these people, and where were they before the debt got this out of hand?

Have the last few months not taught you anything?

Agree0 Disagree0

CVA is not cheating. The "V" means "Voluntary", so it can't be forced on the creditors. It's a way of giving creditors money now rather than fighting over liquidated proceeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

RFC was on the open market for nearly 3 years with only one interested party who bought it for one pound.

I believe the fiancial situation has worsened dramatically since then, and yet we have fans believing a buyer is going to pay way over the odds and invest heavily in a loss making business.

I am sorry but the business world is not Disney world.

Agree0 Disagree0

"BTW it's still liquidation or 15 years crippling indebtedness."
--

Possibly... No doubt will still win 7 or 8 titles in that time though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm surprised no one has said this yet (came to me as soon as the German interest was announced): ALDI - so obvious! . . . or maybe LIDL.

Agree0 Disagree0

No German bid now. Excitement dies...

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2012 18:47:05
administrators tonight- rangers likely to be out of administration by the end of the season.also 4 bids have come in for the club, 1 being a fresh bid from germany.

Believable19 Unbelievable26

Brill news heard the german bid is big

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoping to be,not likely to be.two different things.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fantastic news looks like we will be out of admin soon heard today they are real investment promised

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is timmy tonite lol its coming home

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't forget they will need a large pot to pay off the creditors, HMRC etc BEFORE spending on players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here we go again the excitement who is going to piss away £100 million just to save a tarnished history wake up and smell the coffee!!! it's liquidation I'm afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

Timmys still laughing, A lot of bears still deluding!

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic about to win their 1st MEANINGFUL piece of silverware in years and all they want to do is talk about is the world record holders and CHAMPIONS RANGERS. obssessed or what ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bye bye administration

hello liquidation

Agree0 Disagree0

World records HA HA RANCID BEARS ! Go GOGGLE how many world records have been made then ripped away for cheating !
Cheating your profession , your fans , and all the hospitals, schools , and other needy people in our society !
My you forget how your records were set !
The old, the sick , the needy , your kids future ! Shame on you !

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above post this is very unfair on the rangers support our fans are hurting just now we are not over the moon about the way the club was run so stop trying to get cheap points im sure the new owners hopefully the german bid are going to invest at 200 million pounds in our club our debts will be paid off im sure and we will be back stronger hopefully once the share issue comes out and with the money invested we will be back at the top the gers are back

Agree0 Disagree0

You have used the word invest regarding your hope that the "Germans will invest £200 million". An investment is made on the basis you get a reasonable return back for taking a risk. There would be no chance at all of getting a return back on £200 million with any club in Scotland. Therefore, you would have to be prepared to gift this money. I am sure there are more worthy causes than gifting £100 million + to RFC. Would you not agree?

Agree0 Disagree0

If the money was invested properly new structure new players european football ok not next season but beyond rangers is a worldwide brand im sure the club will be run better than the past great potential im sure german owners would get the best out of rangers who agrees ?

Agree0 Disagree0

One year ago RFC was worth £1, since then it has lost £15 million plus the BTC and no Europe.

Abracadabra it is now worth 200 million !

Please you are makng a fool of yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please stop saying Rangers are a worldwide brand, its simply not true, they are not even a British brand.

Rangers are a parochial village brand, and the village is Scotland-Ulster.

Stay real.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just heard 3 of the bids are all in different forms. They think the only one that suits us the fans is BK ..Duff and Phelps just don't know what these clowns are up to Also that **** whyte still there .

Believable17 Unbelievable11

BK didnt make a bid

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry just realised BK is Blue Knights and not Brian Kennedy. Apologies

@ed.. any news who the german consortiom is... is aeg ?? {Ed001's Note - AEG are likely to be the American bid.}

Believable17 Unbelievable14

AEG are not the American bid, don't be mad {Ed001's Note - what is mad about it? They have been showing interest all along, they have a track record in this field and they have been looking to buy British based stadiums.}

Agree0 Disagree0

AEG are a German Eletrical Group. {Ed001's Note - there is an American entertainment group, Anschultz, that are the AEG being referred to.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted on the banter page ... info about aeg...jsm

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont mess with Ed {Ed001's Note - I just don't understand what is mad about it. They have been trying to buy a British sports team, with their own stadium for a while. They have been buying up stadiums worldwide. There is a call for an NFL game to be played in Glasgow, so they probably have plans in that area as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate you just made yourself look like a total banger lmao. Do you not think the eds on these sites know what they are talking about? No wonder they shoot idiots down at times.....Belter with the AEG ed001 they were mentioned months ago btw. Keep up the good work ed mate,I spend far to much time on your sites.Even the timmy ed has got some great patter!

Agree0 Disagree0

I 100% agree with you ed, this is why i posted the original comment, aeg are a massive company who want stadia and a team in the uk, im really hoping it is them and that the blue knights dont get control as they have not enough money, i have been hearing the singapour guy is worth somthin like 7 billion, but not confirmed, dont know about the german bid atall....jsm

Agree0 Disagree0

It could also be the fortress group that we heard of before, my understanding of "fortress" is that the fortress group puts bids in for companys to protect the bidders identity... all speculation of course..time will tell....jsm

Agree0 Disagree0

So if they are the bidders, do u think alistair johnstone could be involved? He has links with them does he not ed? Good news if he is. {Ed001's Note - I don't know, it is likely he would have been the one to bring the club to their attention I would think.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Was alister johnstone not the ceo of aeg at one time ? ... jsm

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a lot of people are mixing it up with AIG

A bid from AEG is not a get out of jail free card

Agree0 Disagree0

I suppose you desperados need some hope to cling on to. Why would someone come in and waste over 75+ million debt just to get a CVA when it would be easier to wind the whole lot up and start again? No one wanted the club for 5 years and now all of a sudden people are ready to throw millions at it? Yeah sure. the only bid that wants a CVA is the Blue in the face Knights...Good luck with that 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

4 bids in for Rangers today, on rangers website.

Believable15 Unbelievable5

There was going to be 5 bids! but the 5th one ! Pulled out at the last minute ! Name was Weeshugie. But thought better of it and bought a pint instead! Was a better deal!

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny, for a team thats only worth a pound, we've got no problem beating your lot....

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye right. You beat a team of 9 men who still managed to score 2 goals against you. Impressive!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye against 9 men Ya dodger !
U won a game we've won the league this year and for years tae come !!
JOG ON ! Rangers will die ! And you will walk away! cheerybyenoo ! Keep winding them in LOL !

If Rumors are true Americans are the best bet have stated they would invest heavily in club and would NOT liquidate meant to have massive funds and have nothing to do with Whyte only using S9C as agents (which is part of their business as advisors) (express)if they did want to liquidate would have to be quick and Kennedy says he would step in if that was case and no doubt would be backed by the well meaning Paul Murray consortium if needed

Believable4 Unbelievable17

If RFC does not sell its high wage earners in the summer, then the new owner's first investment will be to pay for another 10-12 million pound debt for not being in Europe.

Let me ask you something, do you buy a house for what its worth or for how much money you have ?

It does not matter if they have billions, Rangers will never make billions, a reasonable business model would result in profits of 20 million every 5 years.

It is not a big business in every sense of the word.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a big business because of the way it has been run Stadium if used correctly ie AEG deal for 25% of concerts could rake in £26 mill alone for 1 sell out concert a week on top of that there is the muted deal with Fox Soccer in their compulsory sports package $4.80 per annum per unit @25million units throws you roughly £70mill there is on top of that you have catering advertising merchandizing revenue. Well over £100mill a season all perfectly feasible Rangers potential is massive if marketed right and its run like a business and not a plaything

Rumour that the Americans always wanted to liquidate but didn't understand that meant being bumped out SPL and Europe for min 3 years.
When they realized that and financial implications, they knew can not run Rangers without liquidation, so baled out.

Believable8 Unbelievable16

I find their statement strange that they never made any bid for Rangers.

I've been thinking about the possible buyers today and it seems none of the party's will really take the club anywhere apart form mabye the party form Singapore but they're a mystery as Craig whyte was , I think the best buyer would be Brian Kennedy but he seems he only wants the club to really save them from liquidation , I like the blue knights because it brings back that family feel to the club with the old true gers but I would rather see rangers being pumped lot of money into , what do you think fellow bears ?

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Think we all what someone to pump loads of cash in but I am afraid that just ain't going to happen the most important thing above all is that the club is saved and remains in its current form - we will deal with the rest later.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do any other bears not feel a bit uncomfortable that we are looking for a way out of this without paying what is owed? I would rather take my chances of starting at the bottom SFL Div 3 and working our way back to the top. We are THE RANGERS, we should be doing this with dignity and class just as our club has done for 140 years. Our proud history as the WORLDS MOST SUCCESSFUL club. It breaks my heart to even see how far MY CLUB has slipped over the last few months, we are better than this, WE ARE THE PEOPLE. Chosen to represent all that is good in society, we are leaders amongst men as our roots and HISTORY show. Where we go, others follow. We have always shown the way forward and should continue to do this. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need loads of cash pumped in. Apart from debt and liabilities. Which are unfortunate for new owners. The squad needs a few million invested. Celtic have won the league but have not spent excessive amounts. It is the SPL. You buy the best from Dundee utd hearts and Aberdeen. Mix in with a couple from championship or abroad if needbe. And you have a . Competitive squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster going on about "leaders amongst men" has clearly been getting romantic with the chemicals! My advice would be to come down take a break and go to a few meetings and then have someone supervise your future posts.

Can I just check something out with he bears. Do you belive the debt is as follows;

2011 Tax & Penalties 15 Nillion

2012 Big Tax Case 50 million owed only penalteis still to be decided !

2011 Ticketus owed 24 Million

All Others around 20 Million !

Unless I am way off that over 100 Million.

Who's got that for an SPL club in 2012?

SDM and CW are not stupid people, they have been around the block a good few times, so there no dodo's but they cant sort out this mess.

And dont kid oursleves there is not gonna be 5 bidders, cause if there is I am gonna be one of them for £1.

Let use logic here CW paid £1 for Rangers with a whole load of empty promises, what is another bidder gonna offer £2.

I am worried !

Believable14 Unbelievable17

2011 Tax & Penalties 15 Nillion! Wow that is a lot;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Who are the "all others" for this £20 million?

Agree0 Disagree0

Tax and Penalties so far £15million! Ticketus deal, yes at £24 million, but was that not to pay off our existing debt which was our bank overdraft, essentially just transferred over old debt?
I would imagine that there is other bits of debt still to be paid like player transfers etc which would of agreed to be paid over time anyway. However who knows what Craig Whyte has been doing while he has been in charge and what he has failed to pay.
The "big tax case" not decided but a potential £50 million, who knows till its decided, no-one knows this as of yet and if a deal willl be or can be struck or not? However even without the "big tax case" I still believe that the amount to pay off far exceeds potential income, no europe (more importantly champions league) for the foreesable future. I dont know where the money would come from without a substantial investment in the club and also the squad (to allow the club to potentially reach the champions league as no guarantee into group stages anymore.)
I see a very bleak few years ahead if the club does indeed survive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know where your getting yer info from unless you ,ve got a time machine..lol
As far as i,m aware at present we owe around £35 million most of this to ticketus who have said they are open to a cva... or a repayment deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think you're worried at all.

1. There is no debt for the big tax case
2. Ticketus or Whyte are owed money, not both.

Agree0 Disagree0

You obviously dont realise what is happening. Bidders r putting in a bid based on how much goes in the pot for a cva. Ignore the figures , irrellevent. D&P ARE THERE FOR CREDITORS, WHOEVER PUTS UP THE MOST IS SPLIT BETWEEN THEM. AND TAKE CONTROL OF THE CLUB

Agree0 Disagree0

There were obviously very good reasons why SDM could not find a buyer of any kind for 2-3 years. I fear the business is so unsound any new owner will have to start from scratch. Its a catch 22 situation, reduce wages=reduce quality=reduce attendances=reduce turnover= loss making business.

Hard to believe businessmen let this go on for years, sad and a shame really.

Anyway good luck.

Agree0 Disagree0

Go back one year, Rangers was effectively worth 18 million ( overdraft=assets). Since then they have lost 12-18 million due to early exits from all cup compeitions and Admin fees. Without the BTC Rangers are worth nothing, which isn't as bad as it sounds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketus have agreed £10 mil settlement (google it)
All other money that you listed will also get a good settlement / financial arrangement like pay 50% total debt over 10 years.

There will also be the lump sum that the bidders are offering to get put towards the club runing costs and initial payments to HMRC etc.

They will also bring down the spending to meet the income. Rangers will buy players with prise money and random cash injections from the big names.

Then they will

Sorry I am just getting a bit annoyed at all the bad press we seem to be
aiming at D&P. I dont think you guys have any idea of the processes of CVA or liquidation. The first deadline was what all companies in administration have to do and that is to whittle down intersted parties who have serious intent from the smaller groups who try to grab little bargains. The then have to speak with each party to determine the
details of the finances of the club in question. Once all parties have looked at this the administrators must remove any hazardous enquiries and then ask for all serious and final bids to be placed. Once they are placed the administrators must decide whether any can satisfy the credittors and repayment of the debts owed. If there are good enough offers they can proceed to sell the club, if not then they liquidate the assets to pay off the creditors at a pence per pound agreement. Rangers as we know it would be no more. Duph & Phelps have done well so far, people have no idea how much work this takes for a company the size of rangers and the amount of debt involved. This was after having to shave costs first to avoid redundancies and at least have the club breaking
even. No one can save rangers unless they have many millions to throw away first before one day hopefully seeing a return on that investment. Rangers will never again be any sort of force in the european seen for decades or unless a new messiah comes in for us.

Believable18 Unbelievable7

D&P have spent a lot of time studying SFA and SPL regulations regarding liquidation.

Whyte has recently put the footballing assets further beyond creditors/ liquidators.

Although D&P called Whyte irrelevant they never moved to challenge his wrong status.

It has always been liquidation. From day one. The rest is smoke and mirrors.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, I think that with most administrations the company has an idea that they will be appionted and know what to expect and have a plan. D&P were rushed in at the last minute in a race with the tax man by Craig Whyte. I would imagine that Rangers accounts were less than easy to go through and sort out.

Agree0 Disagree0

No BTC result= no CVA, the Administrators can not just invent a tax debt and submit it to potential buyers.

Throw into the can of worms, Ticketus, floating charges, disputed funds and CW.

Its a miracle Rangers are not already in liquidation.

SFA have diverted £35k of television money due to Rangers over to Dun Utd.

SFA panel sat and took decision. Penalties against Rangers still pending.

Also out of Europe certainty.

Source STV website

Believable25 Unbelievable4

The SFA are delaying the decision as they are carrying out an extensive financial assessment of the Scottish game, based in current revenue streams, of what it will be like if (or when?) they suspend Rangers for a few years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have broken the rules and must be punished appropriately. Which should be severe punishment in light of the crimes committed. You don't get a high court law lord to investigate then give wrist slaps, that undermines the integrity of the law lord.
The knock on consequences of punishing Rangers should not be looked at, at all. That's like letting a killer off scot free because his mother will miss him!

Agree0 Disagree0

All cup tournaments progress nicely without Rangers. As will the SPL.

If there's less TV money then that's easy because we won't be giving a big divvy to rangers! Simples.

Agree0 Disagree0

If rangers were simply suspended, and no understanding of how that we're to play out financially for the rest of the league, that would be irresponsible. It's already know sky and rain and BBc are all but uninterested in a legit without 1 or both of OF....that in itself is a major headache. It may be more prudent for the SFA to draw up other sanctions...but what??
Where does it start and end??

Agree0 Disagree0

How much more embarrassment can we
take? im scunnered.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe leauge is boring because its only celtic and rangers...

without rangers - more chance for others, and maybe scotland team will be stronger.

Nice to see others win things... why else they playing ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have provided more players for the Scottish national team than any other club.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a disgrace this club has become, surely it would be easier to mention the list of Rules, Regulations & Laws that have NOT been broken! any new owners should be very wary about taking on this mess

Agree0 Disagree0

If there's less TV money then that's easy because we won't be giving a big divvy to rangers! Simples
----------------------------------------
there wont be any TV money as sky have already said that they want both celtic and rangers in spl . NO RANGERS = NO SKY DEAL

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fan here rules are rules whe have to abide with these rules i have no complaints

Agree0 Disagree0

Why should any club suffer financially because of another clubs shocking self made money problems?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky will cover SPL without rangers no probs there.
Why have an SFA and SPL if sky dictate who is in or out? Stuff sky and dodgy spiv rupert Murdoch.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reasoning that you cannot bump Rangers out of thd SPL Due to sky money is unethical and immoral. The SPL would be shown up to be as dirty and dodgy as Rangers, no integrity at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to agree that if we are allowed back into the SPL after a liquidation event just to keep Sky happy then it makes a mockery of Scottish football. I would rather start again in Division 3 and work our way up with pride than 'cheat' the system, especially as a newco would have to wait 3 years before they could play in Europe, so we're not losing out on European football. It will also give the other clubs a taste of life without us and the money we bring and they might just be laughing on the other side of their faces then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky may prefer that both Celtic and Rangers are in the SPL, but it does not mean that they can allow Rangers to breach the rules and not be subjected to the same punishment that any of the other 10 clubs would face if they comitted the same offence?

Same could be said if either Celtic or Rangers finished bottom of the league, would they escape relegation by denying the winners of First Division or would second bottom be punted in their place?

If Celtic, Rangers or Sky can't abide by the rules, then in the spirit of fairplay and integrity they should have no part to play in the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even in Division 3 - rangers get two cup runs... so should still win one or two trophyies and year - and let the runner up into europe to boot.

Agree0 Disagree0

I very much doubt that Rangers will be allowed in the Cups next year after the SFA having to recover funds for Dundee Utd for this Season's cup tie

Agree0 Disagree0

Why even mention celtic in the same breath as rangers in these replies, its not the celts that have tainted scottish football

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers broke rules and are immoral do you think everybody else is squeaky clean,I don't think so ,suspend rangers would be like turkeys voting for Christmas ,Scottish clubs are immoral the way they rip off old firm supporters

I'm going to echo the post at 10.59am ish and throw my weight behind Kennedy aswell, he seems to me our best option, don't like the sound if this ticketus deal, and would find it hard to trust anyone from the far east , I've seen a few sporting documentaries about over there an they're pretty shady to say the least, I could be wrong about Kennedy , what do you think lads ? GovanFR , TB , les , craigybear, trueblue , an the other regulars I've forgot, any better input than me boys?
PaulRFC

Believable13 Unbelievable8

Kennedy seems the best option for rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

I've got to agree mate think he will be our man. He doesn't want the club but seems he wont allow it to die and for me thats good enough! Even if he puts us on a level footing just to sell us off. It really doesn't matter what he does. If he is the man to save Rangers his name will live on simple as that.

Blue Stu

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh mate, I dont think I could say who I want one way or the other. I was one of the ones that fell for Whyte when he took over. PM doesnt seem to have any money. I think Kennedy is ok but he is doing it just to keep us out of liquidation, the far east boy, maybe sees it as a way of gettin a team in europe. I think our one big pull for buyers outside the uk, is the fact they can buy a team, that will be in europe every season, well not at the moment but you understand, and has a brand name already. No one really makes money out of football now. So I for one am just hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that when we come out of this, the best man/woman took over our team.
Don
PS the only thing I will say against PM is that he is acting abit strange with the fact he is letting his business be known in the media. If you are buying a company you dont show your cards, which he seems to be doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the sound of Kennedy, last week a paper ran an article that a employee of his (rugby coach or something) thought of him and i was delighted with the comments the guy was making. I'd love Kennedy, even before TBK. He can't be that dis interested in us if he was the first man to make a concrete offer to take over and as soon as a deadline is mentioned he's seemingly back in the frame. Something tells me he's using this "last resort" thing as a front. I think he's as interested as anyone TBH.
J1985

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy seems like the only genuine honest guy in all of this.
This shameful dark period brought on us will be discussed and shown on tv and on radio for decades to come, 50 years won't delete this. Paul Murray by his actions and inactions holds responsibility and accountability for this mess. I don't want him back.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Kennedy will gain control over Rangers, personally I'd like to see him join forces with the Blue Knights, as the main financial backer. The reason I think he will get control of Rangers is that Souness is involved with him, and who is Souness close friends with, SDM. Anyway Kennedy or Blue Knights for me, I do like the idea of having Souness and Walter Smith back involved with Rangers.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the sound of Kennedy as well, he comes across as a very astute and honorable guy. Just what we need after the Whyte fiasco. And by the way, I live over in China and they are some of the nicest people you can meet. Can be ruthless in business, the same as everyone else, but on the whole, really decent folk so don't read too much into our not so great British press. Duccablue

Agree0 Disagree0

I also like the sound of Kennedy. The more I hear the more I like. I think he could do a decent job with the Gers. He's a successful businessman who already knows what it takes to run a sports business. TBK aren't offering enough, especially when there is supposed to be 10 wealthy rangers men involved.
Don't know much about the far east bid but I would rather it was someone home grown that took us forward. Let's be honest can anyone actually do any worse than whats already happened

quabba

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy does not give a flying fig about
the gers. what has he got to gaiN??

Agree0 Disagree0

"about over there an they're pretty shady to say the least"? The irony of that statement is clearly lost on you my friend. Have you forgotten the ethnicity of the people who have taken you to this sorry juncture?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketus/octopus seem to be in the driving seat here looks like we may need to go with them, they are a multi million pound outfit
we maybe about to get a punishment we did,nt expect from the sfa/eufa
and we aint getting money from any banks any time soon so ticketus/octopus is a must
anyone else have to come to the fans for buck

as for punishment i think it maybe very bad for us,2nd contracts is as bad as you can get,so wait and see

no one ever said why are ticketus there without a garentee think well soon, and we,ll soon find out for good or bad find out
ticketus/octopuss for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Look lads i don't know all the financial ins and outs (nobody does) but why all the downers on paul Murray at least he is trying to keep our history alive anybody who has dealt with him personally seems to think he is a good guy with rangers at heart (Brian Kennedy included) as for he has no money has the whole consortium not got a bit of wealth between them lets not fool ourselfs nobody is going to come in and start throwing money like confetti bk included. ps i thought pm was not on the payroll at rangers is this correct? and does he not want the fans to take controll at some stage.

Agree0 Disagree0

"about over there an they're pretty shady"
Aye mate that's what I says, you can read well done, or , I see , because my clubs had "crooks" in the past im not allowed an opinion on who I think could be shady, if that is your thinking take a look at your own clubs history. Anyway apart from that toolbox it seems alot of us like the sound of Kennedy, it's getting interesting if not frightening !

this club 9 and there consortium will not be bidding for rangers so this leaves to serious bidders the far east group an paul murray
far east group have money but we dont no anything about them as for murray he is part of the old board and has not got anuf money to put into rangers we need new owners total clear up of the set up at ibrox regarding scouting coaches directors and the dead wood in the squad so for me paul murray anint the way forward he will bring all the old people back with him not the way forward

Believable13 Unbelievable9

Think the only thing thats important over the next 5 - 10 yrs are keeping the current rangers alive and getting stronger?

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul murray and the blue knights ARE the Way Forward, hope they get mr Kennedy on board too. Would fellow bears rather we were bought by some faceless u.s or asian group only to be liquidated? At least the blue knights have the welfare of our club and 140 yrs of history at heart. As for paul murray being "old board", the previous board had RFC's debt down to 18m from over 50m, all was manageable til mr whyte appeared and decided not to pay any tax etc! So please let it be The Blue Knights who win the day

Agree0 Disagree0

Singapore consortium deny liquidation is their preferred option, stating CVA is more desirable.

I don't think any of us has the information required to decide which bid is best for Rangers.

Given the lack of information TBK is currently the least dangerous option. But how long will it take for Gers to return to anywhere near the their current state?

Currently pie in the sky but moving into the Asian Markets in a big way certainly sounds interesting, people need to think out of the box here, we cannot survive to the standard we want on the back of the odd successful CL campaign.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people need to realise we cannot afford to be fussy. Like the 1st 2 replies anyone who will save Rangers as we are is good in my book. No matter what the cost. I will support Rangers even if we are losing every week aslong as it is Rangers and not some cheap immitation!

Blue Stu

Agree0 Disagree0

Second poster PM was on the old board while the alleged ebts wre operating.
The SFA would also need to look at PM to see if HE is a fit and proper person

Agree0 Disagree0

Use mite be right about paul murray ect but what worries me as he aint funnding this threw his own cash he is borrowing from tickitis then the fans come on board but what if all us fans do not get on board an stump up the cash yeh they reduced the debt and i agree whyte is to blame but i think we do need have a serious look at our club like the scouting coaching youth devoplment and trying get money back into our team by getting our shops an catering back and merchindise the club abroad alot better than we have been this is where rangers need sum1 in to do this

Agree0 Disagree0

Some honest truth bears:
Paul Murray didn't manage any debt down. It was Lloyd's Bank managers in Ibrox that did that. In spite of rangers directors going to their poodles in the papers to get Lloyd's to pay more.
Murray was on EBTs.
Celtic have been exploiting Asia for 14 years. They wear Celtic tops in Singapore and Hong Kong, Japan and China. They don't wear Rangrrs tops, again this is old board incompetence.
Murray and the blu knobs have no money. Period.
Murray has not told us who will be on his board and how much they'll be paid.
Some blu knobs have been rumored to be heavily indebted themselves.
Kennedy will never give his money to blu knobs to spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

PM is the real deal - RFC till he dies. Stop listening to the garbage that links him to the EBT's............FOLLOW FOLLOW

Agree0 Disagree0

Please don't lose site of the fact that Paul Murray has no money to invest here. He is banking on a share issue so expects the fans to fund his take-over. Clearly a risky strategy given the investment required to clear the decks and fund future growth / progression. However, seems no easy option.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster calling them blue knobs, they are trying to save the club from liquidation. What are you doing?

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Murray and his BK will underwrite the share issue, so not quite sure what you mean by not investing his own money.

The money being put into the creditors pot is also coming from the BK, around £10M.

The other £10M quoted from Ticketus is not to buy the club but to run it until the share issue is completed.

All of this in the public domain.

Once the club is sold to the fans, he won't own it, so its not HIS takeover, its OUR takeover.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Blue Knights are the best for the future of the club. They will give fans transparency into the way the club is run, something that has been lacking for years. They have the best interests of the club at heart. When they say what they are doing is in the best interests of the club they mean it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see some of you are back to blaming everything on Whyte.

The Rangers board were informed of the big tax case in 2010, they were in a reasonable position financially (relatively speaking), they could have tightened their belts, sold some players in preparation and been ready for the FTT, if they'd lost it they would have been able to pay the bill and keep the club afloat and if they'd won it they could have had a 50 million warchest to play with. What did they do? They buried their heads in the sand. Paul Murray included.

How is Paul Murray not linked to the EBT scheme? I think you need to look up what a director's job is mate.

No too sure if this a good or bad thing as D+P can reject all bids and liquidate if they feel that is best for creditors. Still feel CW is running this show. Fingers crossed i'm wrong.

Is this the start of the JJB breakaway?

THANK GOD

Agree0 Disagree0

Shouldn't this be a closing down sale

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this a good idea? Aluko not most photogenic of our players, would make it into Ugly footballers 11 with Beardsley, Downie, Davies Dodds etc.

It's a new JJB that's opening. They've only moved a couple of hundred yards.

The old JJB store has had it's closing down sale.

Hurry Hurry last chance to get your collector items before the plug is pulled!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just back from the new smaller JJB store. They have family open weekend 14th -15th April with R/clyde NO mention of any players appearing anywhere.

There will be two bids today; TBK and Singapore.
Singapore=Ticketus.
So Ticketus both ways.
As D&P have stated they may not give Rangers to any of the bidders.

Brian Kennedy says he will only make a late offer to take over Rangers if a rival bidders' approach is to take the club into liquidation.

Rangers' administrators are expecting to receive up to five bids by 5pm deadline today and reports claim that US consortium Club 9 Sports is moving towards preferred bidder status.

However, there are reported concerns about Club 9 Sports' future plans for Ger’s and Sale Sharks owner Kennedy is waiting to see how the day develops.
"Whatever euphemism you may want to use, we are ultimately talking about the liquidation of Rangers FC and the selling of its assets into a newco, with all the issues which result from that."

Brian Kennedy Quotes of the week
"The prospect of a newco frightens the living hell out of me," Kennedy told the Daily Record.
"Whatever euphemism you may want to use, we are ultimately talking about the liquidation of Rangers FC and the selling of its assets into a newco, with all the issues which result from that.
"If this is the only option left standing, that's when I will come back in.
"The financial model involved in a newco situation does not work unless you are prepared to invest many millions of pounds and take a four-year view on the club's finances. You would need to accept losing excessive amounts of money.
"These guys will be looking for a decent return. They are not doing it for the love of Rangers so why enter into a deal like this?
"The existence of the club is at stake and the next 48 hours could be crucial."

This guy kennedy's approach to this annoys me, you either want to buy the club or not mate just decide and get on with it.

Spin spin and more spin. For every bodies sanity can we have some straight forward facts , properly reported. Our press is beyond a joke. Do we agree?

Agree0 Disagree0

Same pish just another day

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy is a decent guy. He's not a Rangers fan, but his wife is. He wants the new owners to take the club forward. If the club looks like it's heading for liquidation, he'll buy us. Simple. We should be shouting his name in the terraces!

Agree0 Disagree0

Kennedy would be great for rangers in the long term someone new with no prev baggage

Stockport County. Baggage.

To the guy who said the press is beyond the joke- Nailed it.

not 100% sure but thin they have links to Octopus/ticketus which would explain somethings

Agree0 Disagree0

Watch out for this dark horse this guy already owns a pro football team in Singapore so in theory could expand the product to Asia a market that Rangers neglected in the past also he could source some good Asian players

the DR states
the Singapore bid has been shrouded in mystery, leading to speculation it favours the liquidation option but last night a British-based source close to the group revealed a CVA is part of their business plan.
He said: “Ng is a seriously wealthy individual. He feels Rangers represent a fantastic marketing opportunity.
“He would take the brand out of Europe and across the globe but, in particular, to the Far East where there is serious money to be made.
“Not only Rangers would benefit. Scottish football would be taken to these new markets.
“The people behind this don’t want to conduct their business in the public eye, which is why they have not been as vocal as some of the bidders. But they are serious and honourable, respected business people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh its a bid by two business men called
No Pi Tax & No Pi NI

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see us being bought by anyone super rich. Shame cos post above regarding Asian markets would be great. Here's hoping.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know Singapore. EXTREMELY well run country. As a bit of light relief - if you relive yourself in one of the lifts in their equivalents of schemes - the lift will automatically lock you in and call the police. (Piss detectors fitted)There's one good idea they could bring her for a start.

Agree0 Disagree0

Singapore is a Police State with no democracy. It has been run by the same family since its founding.
Strict Corporal punishments and death penalty.
Poor human rights record.

Agree0 Disagree0

ALL of the bids will want a CVA rather than liquidation. Liquidation means that Rangers would have to call in Liquidators to sell the assets SEPARATELY to the highest bidders. This means that if the company buys then liquidates they would have to bid for all of the assets they want eg Ibrox, not sure that players can be sold if liquidated as technically they would be out of contract. If the BTC goes against you liquidation would be a certainty. But liquidation could mean Murry park, and Ibrox in different ownership, with a new co having to rent. It is even possible that rival new co's could form with differnt sets of assets.

Agree0 Disagree0

Man of mystery damn at means i canny google him..no its only scottish media who ignore facts! If i put in a 10 pound bid wi a few mates does that mean i,ll be the prefered bidder?Ok its a joke but yous started it first.

Any I dont care as long as my club lives on pays its debt and continues to play football I dont care who owns us. If we live on and pay what we owe we can hold on to our identity and history. Id rather we lived on our knees with our pride and tradition intact than take the easy way out just to get a head start. There is and will only be 1 Rangers!

Custard the Clown - he must be rolling in spare cash after the Fighting Fund that was kindly set-up for him.

I'm a Celtic fan but I take my hat off to Blue Stu. I wish more Rangers fans had that attitude rather than trying to look for ways to stiff the creditors. No club could hold its head up with that shameful cloud over it.

Hi,

My friend is a shareholder at Ibrox and sent me a text this morning saying that Club 9 Sports and the group they represent are not going to be bidding for rangers and that the administrators were talking them up to get more money from the Blue Knights and kennedy. There CEO Jon Pritchett tweeted late last night and also sent this email to the Secretary of the RST at 1:30am last night:

"Thank you for your e-mail and introduction. We have purposely avoided and public comments until today because we didn't see the benefit in talking until we knew more about where we were internally. At an early stage, there really is not much value in public statements.

Unfortunately, that did not keep people from talking about us. We read with some humor many of the stories, opinions and rumors about Club 9 Sports. Some of it was accurate, much of it was fictional or factually inaccurate. Regardless, as you may have seen, we were never going to bid on the club ourselves. We were working with a group of people in the US and UK for a few weeks to take a hard look at the deal but that group decided not to move forward.

I just wanted to thank you for reaching out and to say that any smart owner (no matter which side of the pond) will most certainly want to work with your group and others to ensure the fans, supporters and followers are an integral part of the plans for rangers. After all, they are the most important asset of the club

Warm Regards,
Job

Jesus. Obviously been reading the dr website. "drubs and drabs". Etc. Scotland must look like a banana republic ... This is making a laughing stock of us all.

"This is making a laughing stock of us all"

Only of RFC/Administration process. Mind you, setting up a Fighting Fund then giving the payment link to Custard the Clown's website was a noteable contibution on the fans' part.
