Is anyone else thinking what if?

What if our team didn't collapse in the Dundee and Hamilton games, we could have been sitting in a much better position and Murty would have been in with a great shout for the managers job. would have been very hard to look past him if the team didn't let him down in these two games as we would have only been 1 point behind the manky mob.

I can definitely see Murty being Rangers manager on a full time basis one day.

04 Dec 2017 19:01:38
Agreed ๐Ÿ‘!

One question though would bears prefer he stay at rangers and developed then one day comes in again as manager or does anyone think it would test him more to leave rangers on good terms in the near future and try his hand at say a Kilmarnock or Dundee and see if that can develop his coaching skills further?

04 Dec 2017 19:19:51
I would like him to stay coach of the development squad for a good wee while then leave on good terms go manage a few teams and maybe one day come back

04 Dec 2017 20:22:36
He will be the manager next season again when next manager gets the sack ๐Ÿ˜‚

04 Dec 2017 20:25:41
He has to stay, if we could get ray wilkins in as a coach as well that would be a bonus. Great coach at chelsea.

04 Dec 2017 21:35:30
Yip wether it youth level etc gers need get murty long term deal

04 Dec 2017 22:08:59
I hear what your saying mate and I think Murty has done a great job. However in football โ€˜What Ifsโ€™ can make or break u!
Iโ€™d actually like him in as part of new first team set up and hoping he isnโ€™t tempted by offer from another club to go. He deserved the adulation after last 2 games.

05 Dec 2017 08:12:10
natural progression - if the youth progress in significant 3-5 players into the full team squad in the next 18 months murty would make sense to bring them and him through

05 Dec 2017 09:25:39
@frustratedbesr what if you had not got liquidated and had to start as a new club ๐Ÿ˜€

05 Dec 2017 19:11:13
Davydiv - we'll never know

04 Dec 2017 11:11:40
Just spoke to an Aberdeen man the rumours going around is McIness to us and they are looking at McLeish as his replacement

04 Dec 2017 12:32:28
No point speculating the only people that know is the guy himself who has been approached who ever that may be and the board and Dave king etc.

04 Dec 2017 12:39:31
ha ha ha heard that you lot are lining up Barry Ferguson as a coach, PLEASE let it be true lol
Oh and Doiger the manager you wanted Gattuso had a great start to his coaching in Italy, the team ROCK BOTTOM WITH FOURTEEN previous defeats took a point of the tactical genius that is Gattuso.
Roll on more comedy, when you finally appoint a manager, here we go TWENTY IN A ROW ha ha ha

04 Dec 2017 12:48:02
Speculation is what this sites about If all you are interested in is the facts the official Rangers FC website is the only place to check

04 Dec 2017 13:04:07
Should be McLeish to us and let them keep DM. Ridiculous decision if you are right

04 Dec 2017 13:46:42
Who cares who gets the job we all just need to give them and the team 100% every week

04 Dec 2017 14:14:23
Obsessed much dhim? Bringing up results of ex rangers players who arenโ€™t even in the running for the job? Sad wee man ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚your obsession is poisoning your sanity lol love the comments on your page btw to Union Jack bringing up quotes from South African judges about face king hahahahaha crazy paranoid wee men! Conspiracies everywhere ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚honestly guys yous might laugh at our club and call us deluded and new club blah blah blah but my my what interest you take on us! Just you worry bout getting a penalty tomorrow dhim or if youโ€™d get beat youโ€™d can say the ref is a member of the lodge or the media are against yous ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

04 Dec 2017 15:06:26
@Alex32 do you know what Irony means, calling anyone obsessed when you read all my posts on both sites lol
Still going on about penalties, both were given, if soft I admit.
But are you going to condemn Windass for his cheating or Jack for his over the ball tackle on May that could have ended his career.
The quotes from the SA judge on King are GENUINE not made up like some of the things you lot say on here, and everyone knows you are a NEW CLUB, as your old club was LIQUIDATED

04 Dec 2017 15:29:58
Tim mate, that's the same Rino Gattuso recently given the AC Milan job he must have something about him ;)

04 Dec 2017 15:52:52
can you describe how you feel ryan jack went over the ball when he clearly makes comfortable contact with the ball its impossible to make your foot instantly stop anyone whos played football at a decent level will know that stevie may got hurt in that challenge because he bottled out the 50/ 50

04 Dec 2017 15:21:51
I read a lot of football rumours pages dhim ours, yours, Aberdeen, hibs, the big English clubs etc as I enjoy most aspects of the game and the banter! Whattabouttery dhim letโ€™s forget the game changing pens and everything else about your lot too focus on us - windass dived yes and was booked if you want more action taken then we can look over every incident and see how many bans your lot pick up also! The jack red card was a red card and a van what more do you want he was well ahead of may to the ball cleared well then left a wee bit more for all the abuse heโ€™s been dished out! you see the IRONY here dhim your on here complaining about our players when we were already punished? What more do you want? Do you want our Masonic media and sfa lodge members to come out and say yes dhimmaloy is correct itโ€™s all a conspiracy against your lot! Can you see how deluded and ridiculous that is dhim! I suggest you grow up and enjoy your teams success right now instead of concentrating on the factors outwith your control there rotting your brain pal! P. s what price can I get on a dhimalloy conspiracy half time/ full time on the anderlecht game tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

04 Dec 2017 15:40:11
Ah the old club v company argument that only you obsessed lot seem to care about. And no matter that other clubs throughout the world have gone through the same turmoil (Florentine to name a high profile example) and are still perceived to be the same club. Or even if all of the world's football authorities say we are the same club. Even after all of that you lot still Don't believe! It must be really hurtful to know that you aren't even the most successful club in Glasgow never mind the world! Cue emoji meltdown ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

04 Dec 2017 16:04:32
To be fair Tim you are definitely obsessed with Rangers.

04 Dec 2017 16:07:03
@Timalloy

THE CELTIC FOOTBALL AND ATHLETIC COMPANY LIMITED

What happened to the club pre-1994?

04 Dec 2017 16:28:56
๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘@seeker

04 Dec 2017 18:30:01
Do you take as much interest in Gretna 2008?

04 Dec 2017 18:31:04
Wee Timothy alloy you must be bored with your own site. What has gatusso got to do with rangers now?

04 Dec 2017 18:32:25
I think the other club still exist as well on stock exchange. Canโ€™t be same then ๐Ÿ˜‰ not 100% sure on that. ๐Ÿ˜‚

05 Dec 2017 11:03:43
Very telling that the blessed Brendan who can do no wrong was not mentioned for either the WBA or Everton job. This is a man who in all of his time at Celtic, has NEVER won any match where the bookies had them as non-favourites. I think that tells a story in itself!

05 Dec 2017 17:05:53
In fairness why would rodgers be mentioned for the everton job when he is a former Liverpool manager? And selik are paying him ยฃ2.5 million a season on a 4 year contract so it would cost millions to get him while big sam was on the dole

05 Dec 2017 17:15:43
In fairness rodgers was a liverpool manager so he wouldn't be mentioned for everton. Selik are paying him ยฃ2.5 million a season for 4 seasons so it would take a fortune in compensation while big sam was on dole

04 Dec 2017 10:38:44
McInnes has a dig at Rangers saying he's not happy with the way things have played out. Doesn't sound like our new manager talking. Meanwhile, Salary McCoist, his chief barker, says McInnes's chances of getting the job are getting 'slimmer'. Good news!

04 Dec 2017 11:08:46
McInnes had a dig at the media and all their speculation he did not have a dig at Rangers

04 Dec 2017 11:12:09
I seriously hope it's not him but does anyone else not think it could be Steve Clark he ticks every box to what Dave king said about Scottish/ brittish knows the league and tbh I think he would be a lot better choice than McGinnis he has managed in the English premiership and championship was a coach at Chelsea and has a pretty good track record far better than McGinnises

04 Dec 2017 11:48:41
Do we really want Derek McInnes as manager. The guy does not know how to win big games.

Since the gers have been back in the spl his record against old firm is shocking. 2 wins out of 6 against us (and let's face it we have been poor for a long period there) and 7 defeats from 7 games against septic.

Let's just offer Murty the job and move forward. The man who has got us back into second deserves his chance.

04 Dec 2017 12:01:18
@AGBroxi He mentioned both - Rangers and the media. Specifically he took a thinly-veiled swipe at Rangers by implying insiders of the club are feeding the journos.

04 Dec 2017 12:32:10
Deanobear, I was just chatting to a pal last night and suggested Steve Clarke could be a possibility.

04 Dec 2017 12:42:52
To be fair to McInnes when we signed McLeish Hibs werenโ€™t doing to well if I remember correctly and he wasnโ€™t the fans choice but went on to win 5 out of his next 5 trophies.

04 Dec 2017 12:56:18
5 out of 6 actually Mprent111. Celtic won the league that season Mcleish came to us. You really donโ€™t know the history of our club do you? Iโ€™ve lost count of the amount of times I have had to correct you.

04 Dec 2017 13:11:56
That's why it has to be McLeish. He has done it before and knows how to beat them. If it is DM, Rodgers might as well present his arse to be kissed on an even more regular basis. Even Murty with his inexperience set up a poor Rangers squad to take a point at porkheid and might well have sneaked it at the end as we finished the stronger. Could DM have done that? Also, he has been scathing of Rangers over the past couple of weeks. I'd let him stew up there. They both deserve each other

04 Dec 2017 14:12:50
Rick, The league was gone by the time McLeish signed at xmas. He only had a realistic chance at 2 that first season

04 Dec 2017 14:14:13
Iโ€™m not a fan of McLeish latter years clearly but now youโ€™re holding it against him for not winning the league when we were miles behind when he joined. Get a grip Rick

04 Dec 2017 14:21:18
You do realise even though I thought he was manager for 5 and a half years and said 2 titles in 5 years wasnโ€™t good enough in my opinion I never included the title youโ€™re now saying he could have and Iโ€™m assuming should have won in your opinion he actually did only win 2 titles in 5 seasons. Harsh Rick harsh ๐Ÿ˜‚

04 Dec 2017 14:45:09
Iโ€™m not holding nothing against Mcleish and never will. As I said before, I respect his achievements for us. Itโ€™s you if you go through your ramblings who has been slagging the guy off. Iโ€™m just having to clean up your false โ€œfactsโ€ about the guy time and time again. Making false losing streaks up and adding time on to his managerial career. I think the joke is on you Mprent111 and I donโ€™t even have to put a wee laughing emoji at the end of this comment because everyone will be laughing at your false ramblings anyway.

04 Dec 2017 14:46:57
If youโ€™re going to be picky Rick was it not 5 out of 8 then? Wouldnโ€™t want to get my facts wrong so better hold it against him that he never won the two European competitions he was involved in

04 Dec 2017 15:05:04
Haha like your false he won 5 out of 6 when he was involved in 8 competitions. Or are you only 100% accurate when youโ€™re picking holes in what others say? I do apologise for saying he went ten games in the league when it was just ten games without a win and I do apologise for saying he lost 7 on the trot to Celtic when it was 7 without a win but I suppose when you have nothing better to do all day you can pick holes in the wording ๐Ÿ˜‚

04 Dec 2017 15:09:00
Iโ€™m not slagging him off I just pointed out he won 5 of his 7 trophies in the first 18 months and he holds two unwanted records which is true. I also think itโ€™s fair to say we won the league on the last day of the season because Celtic got to the Final just like I believe itโ€™s fair to say they won the league the year we got to Manchester because we got to Manchester. Said time and time again he had a phenomenal start to life at rangers and lucky or not helicopter sunday was one of the best days in our history in my opinion. I believe based on his latter years at rangers and more importantly what heโ€™s done in the last ten years that he isnโ€™t the man to take us forward.

04 Dec 2017 17:01:18
Still rambling on I see and still using emojis. Priceless.

04 Dec 2017 18:30:59
Just correcting your false facts, Rick.

05 Dec 2017 09:29:48
I said Clarke weeks ago if it was to be an existing SPL manager Iโ€™d want him.

04 Dec 2017 10:40:14
DM will be announced today, I have it direct from Richard Gough.
Big Gough was guest speaker at a dinner I was at on Friday night
See it happen today.

04 Dec 2017 18:23:01
How come you never told us on friday? Or sat or sun instead you wait until mon to tell us something we already know, then claim gough told you 3 days ago?

04 Dec 2017 18:27:57
Hows that rumour going for you just now?

04 Dec 2017 19:32:35
I can confirm Richard denies this entirely, confirming he wasn't at a dinner on Friday but at Cash for Kids instead. The lies we get on here at times are extraordinary.

04 Dec 2017 10:32:47
Tommy Smith to be the new boss at rangers.

04 Dec 2017 17:32:48
Wull he be aye?

04 Dec 2017 18:11:27
Obsessed again?

04 Dec 2017 10:31:17
Heard from an aberdeen season ticket holder and shareholder that claims he's in the know that Mcinnes had resigned last weekend from Aberdeen to take rangers job but he and Milne didn't want it public till after the 2 games against us, just a rumour guys.

04 Dec 2017 10:21:38
DM to definitely be our next manager by the end of next week with Strachan to be the sheeps new manager. all but confirmed just compensation to be sorted out with the sheep looking for ยฃ750,000 to realise DM and his assistant.

04 Dec 2017 09:00:06
Guys, I'm only passing on what I've been told. (first time on the forum) . The source is a senior manager in a fairly large financial institution in London and it was a very detailed account I received.

"Apparently" and while its well known in the some circles but not to the fans that Mike Ashley has a deal that would involve heavy investment back into RFC. ยฃ15-ยฃ20 million is whatโ€™s being discussed. Whilst this is not a lot for Ashley it would represent a massive boost for Rangers.

This wonโ€™t become public until the acquisition of NFC is agreed (New Year) . This was also agreed in principle as part of the re-negotiated retail contract.

The facts remain that RFC is significantly underfunded and consistent European Football is the only method where we would remain profitable. The only way to achieve this is further investment.

RFC has seen no one other than the three bears step up and put a โ€œplatformโ€ together to help stabilize the club. The club now needs further investment that surpasses what the three bears can offer. So far โ€œnoโ€ Rangers men have stepped up.

I honestly donโ€™t know the โ€œins and outsโ€ of Ashleyโ€™s pending involvement but itโ€™s looking like something that involves a large cash injection is going to happen โ€“ whether you believe it or not.

Should be an interesting topic when this is announced.

04 Dec 2017 09:28:25
Oh and sorry one more bit of information. The company rumored for the proposed investment is MASH Alpha Limited.

04 Dec 2017 10:27:04
I think a lot of fans need to get their head out of the sand when it comes to our financial state. If Mike Ashley is offering to work with the club and potentially invest this level of money then we must take it seriously.

04 Dec 2017 10:42:52
i said a wee bit ago on here i wouldn't be surprised if he invested after newcastle is sold. very small outlay compared to EPL and helds advertise his sports direct brand if we are regularly in europe. we would all love a rich bears fan to back us but truth is there is a finite number of guys who support our club and have the funds to do it right

04 Dec 2017 10:46:54
I think you and other supporters need to get your heads out of the sand. yes, we need money but took us ages to get rid of him and his gangsters who were in charge . they were taking the soul out our club short memoryโ€™s . mike Ashley interested one thing Mike Ashley thousands people Newcastle and soccer sports back me up. if he did put money it would be loans same as last time we had to pay back ยฃ5 million get rid.

04 Dec 2017 11:05:12
Told everyone on here months ago they the fat man would be back after he sold Newcastle and was laughed at mine was a very reliable source and canโ€™t drop names but he was the one that also funded the 10 million for transfers this season people need to open there eyes he will be back and me personally think itโ€™s probably for the best as no one else is stumping up the cash trust me when a say this we will be back to our best soon and if it means the Ashley is involved then so be it

04 Dec 2017 11:53:19
The fat man only does things for a reason not because he likes Rangers I donโ€™t and plenty donโ€™t want him near club and Iโ€™ve got head out clubs his dodgy dealings go all the way back to green and co . investments nice not from him no thanks

04 Dec 2017 12:40:56
he definitely is only out for himself but just to play devils advocate, in theory he could put money in to help the club grow and make a return on his investment if we are successful and regularly in europe. know its a long shot (very long! ) but not impossible

04 Dec 2017 15:06:10
anyone who welcomes fat ashley coming back to rangers must be either totally brainless, or is a tim in disguise

04 Dec 2017 15:54:16
The last time he was at club the people he had at club destroyed the rangers family atmosphere inside Ibrox so i read . king took over he brought people like John greig back to get it back. i donโ€™t want people taking over he are just interested in money rangers has always been a family club
