Nicky Law getting linked today I see, from Motherwell

Believable49 Unbelievable32

Yes, Its Nicky LAW and Chris HUMPHREY, both would be ideal for Rangers.

Good Move, let's sort it out.

Agree1 Disagree3

Rather than signing anyone else just yet, I would rather see us try and bring Ewan Chester back to the club. He was at the club for both of Walter Smiths spells in charge and we made very few bad signings over the piece. Just think we could be putting ourselves in bother handing out lucrative contracts to ordinary SPL players. We should learn from the signings of Sandaza and big Kyle, that it's going to be a costly error if they don't play every week. We don't want to be in a situation where we are using whatever transfer kitty we have, to pay off the contracts of players who have not been a success, but are happy to sit and see their contract out! I believe a new head scout, preferably Ewan Chester, would be the best signing we could make!

motherwell midfielder nicky law is high on coisty's radar- clyde 1

Believable25 Unbelievable27

Well if Dalziel said it it must be true.

Agree2 Disagree0

Is he on a free. otherwise you have no chance as Chick won't spend any money, needs it to try and keep the club afloat

Agree2 Disagree3

Another player that would demand premier league wages.

Agree3 Disagree1

How days have darkened, Excited about nicky law, you think it was denis, but oh well!

Agree2 Disagree0

If he's on "coisties" list, be worried. very worried. TTTS

Agree3 Disagree1

N2 anybody coming to ibrox must be on a free transfer ban remember

correct me if I am wrong but am sure charles green sayed our transfer stratagey was to get younger people in that we can sell at a profit we won't sell daily at a profit that for sure often why does mccoist not look outside the spl for players am sure we could pick up a few gems if he had a look mccoist should have a look at Joel Pohjanpalo from helsinki that's the type of striker we need sure he would come if gauranteed to be playing {The Ed039's Note - There are a number of clubs spying on that boy to be honest)

Believable11 Unbelievable30

Yeh ed there probaly will be clubs snifing about him but a think this is type of player we should be looking at am positive we could persuade the lad to play for us would be great signing and would sell for good profit in future makes good business sence don't think our managment team will even no about this boy as our scouts don't seem be looking for talent abroad

Agree0 Disagree4

His "transfer policy" meant when he payed a transfer fee for a player again, this is a free transfer therfore doesn't come into that kinda thinking

Agree1 Disagree2

Because he struggles with spl players can you imagine him with lower division ones

Agree2 Disagree1

We can only sign who will come play for us at this stage

Agree3 Disagree1

Cammy Bell 24, Chris Humphrey 25, Andy Halliday 21, Murray Davidson 24, been rumours linking us with all those and more, all young enough to get a good return on if we were able to get them. When are people going to realize that until the embargo is lifted its just about getting players in to get numbers up for the season ahead, playing in 3 cups and the league.

Agree0 Disagree4

Trying to get numbers up? Yeh fair enough, but for the striking position? We have plenty. Why get daily when we have Kyle and sandaza who hardly play?. We also have hemmings on his way back fom injury. Absolutely ridiculous transfer target. Would be extremely disappointed to hand out anything between 4-6k a week for daily. We need a couple of defenders

Totally agree with op yes daly could more than do a job at this level but its just money down the drain he has no resale value and will be too old by time in spl. He'd be earning more than any other team in the division just plain non sensical. Younger players are needed

Ally showing his hand for next season already, planning to sign Jon Daly, long high balls the order of the day then ally? {The Ed039's Note - Does he know anything else?)

Believable44 Unbelievable16

Great! MORE Players with NO Sell on value - I suppose we can expect to see the same 1 way football that we have been seeing all this season - punt and hope!

Agree1 Disagree1

Talking about playing him at centre half if he signs {The Ed039's Note - I dont know if he would want that. He much prefers playing centre forward, so that talk would probably put him off straight away)

Agree0 Disagree1

Well ed as matter of fact he does know different because when we had noisy jelavic Lafferty Davis and aluko we didn't play long high balls youse all forget we don't have that caliber of player now and it's 3rd div we are in what do u expect silky football we are doing what we have to to get out league what more do u want ed u have to stop being critical a year ago we didn't know if we would have club people need to get real and stop judging ally till we are back in premier league then if it'd still same yeah we can have a go not now just be happy we are here {The Ed039's Note - Silky football? When?)

Agree1 Disagree1

Daly would be a great signing with his experience a
good target man

Agree1 Disagree2

Sorry to disapoint but he did play long balls that is all he know's a walter smith clone

Agree2 Disagree2

Is being "smiths clone" supposed to be a derogatory term? People are too quick to forget the success that man brought to our great club! Naturally we are in the 3rd division which brings with it a certain type of football, teams who have succeeded in the past rising through the ranks have adopted the exactly same kind of football, livi, Ross county and even Gretna with kenny deuchar were lauded for their successes.

If super ally can replicate even a fraction of smiths success then we'll be a club in a good place.

Keep the faith bears

Agree0 Disagree1

Ally go for someone who offers a bit of mobilty upfront.
Check out young Lyle Taylor at Falkirk.
