How many times no none of home games are on tv its same as prem league its all away games {Ed039's Note - ESPN are showing live league games from Ibrox this season, think its 3 but cant remember)

Agree0 Disagree1

Every game is away on the tv unless its a cup game

Agree0 Disagree0

When fixtures came out stranraer were at home the same time as celtic on only 3 occasions.so im guessing thats the 3 games espn will switch to sundays so they dont clash.(all in the first few months of the season)

Agree0 Disagree0

It is on rangers tv

Agree0 Disagree0

Here's an idea. Go to the game.

Agree1 Disagree0

Very Long shot but anyone know if there will be any streams online?

Agree0 Disagree0

Going to look like clowns if thers empty seats after slagging Celtic!

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen.... Get a ticket!

Agree0 Disagree0

Less than 25k tickets sold as at 3pm ! Pay at gate though.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's pay at the gate tonight, most people know that and that's why we haven't sold that many tickets!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not all Gersmen live in Scotland matey. At near on 6 thousand miles away, getting over to the game is gonna be a stretch

ALLY McCOIST is set to make three more signings as he continues to build his squad before a 12-month signing embargo kicks in on September 1.

The manager revealed today that he is hopeful of capturing former St Johnstone striker Francisco Sandaza after productive talks over the weekend.
He is also hopeful that an agreement can be reached with Brazilian centre back Emilson.

And McCoist also indicated that a deal is set to be done with former Hearts and Scotland striker Kevin Kyle.
Sandaza’s representatives had meetings over the weekend while discussions have also started with Emilson’s people after a couple of days’ training with the Light Blues.
Kyle has also been training with Rangers and the giant striker is also close to clinching a contract.

Believable27 Unbelievable25

Its funny when oldco went bust you pointed the finger at everyone else playing the innocent party who where duped by murray and whyte but now your in the 3rd handing out spl contracts willy nilly not one fan has asked where this money is coming from and whos funding it is the club building up more debt your all happy as long as their spending money so dont play the its not the fans fault if it all goes pear shaped again

Agree4 Disagree6

I worte this and have been questioning the signing policy for the past week - Not sure where the club is going to pay for all these alleged signings?
Surely the club is just running up short term debts again.....or hoping to gamble that in three years the club will be in the SPL for Green to sell the club, recoup his "three year loan" and pay off the club debts while still making a handsome profit...that is a huge gamble to take in the current circumstances imo, why not go with youth while using the experienced players still with the club, we might unearth a gem to sell on in the future.
Does no one else have these concerns?

A Brazilian who spent all his career in warm countries; Brazil and Italy mostly. I'm afraid these guys can't hack our very severe Scottish winters. Especially at div3 grounds.
Give a deserving Scots lad the chance. He'll be able to hack the weather. {Ed039's Note - Have you been in Rome in the winter?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Give youth the chance...how much are these guys costing ? it has to be the money can't be ambition to play at the highest level possible if they are willing to play in SFL 3 !!

Agree0 Disagree0

These players want to come to us cause we are still a big club and the no they will go down in the history as rangers legends for helping the club back to where it belongs

Agree2 Disagree0

Ally's signings have been largely more miss than hit. Remember the Ally's Duds headlines last year? I'm just afraid he's getting it wrong again. If he doesn't get into sfl2 by winning sfl3 hell have to be sacked.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its about £7 million has been wipped of the wage bill so far with everyone leaving and green hasnt actually bought anyone yet,all these players are free and we are recieving compensation for players like fleck and davis, i know thats not alot to pay sandaza if he joins, with green being who he is there must be a plan in place maybe reached with sky or something to ' fast track ' us back into a possible spl2 or something soon cos why wld he pay these players for 3 straight years in lower leagues with not alot of income unless something was afoot..also when will ppl stop getting on green's back. he was the only one to save the club and he is rebuilding the squad now and yet ppl still arent happy with him!questioning his every move..if u think u are so good at understanding finance or predicting the plight of gers now then why are u on a rumours site saying this and that instead of making money if u think u know better. everyone thinks they can do better but dont have two bob to put together, he is the man with the money, very experienced at what he does so just let him get on with it. he will eventually sell the club and he isnt going to leave it in a state financialy cos he wont get value for it. stop moaning!!

Agree2 Disagree0

Just watched Ally on STV he looks more balanced and calm. The anger and confusion seems to have gone. The lad is a hero for youngsters and it isn't good for them to look up to him when he's like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

With all these excessive signings, might need to keep Duff and Phelps on speed dial. Ridiculous overspending, give the products of the much fabled Murray Park a run out.

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed0039, was in Rome this March and snowed for the first time since 1984!! Winters in Scotland are servere compared to Rome. Hbhoy. {Ed039's Note - The winters in Rome are harsh mate, many places in Italy as well, cold as hell, the post made it sound like sunny climes all year round, not the case)

Agree0 Disagree0

Harsh winters?? Dont be a big girls blouse. Its rain FFS. It rains all over europe. These players will come because Rangers are a world record holding team. Every one in the football world knows about the famous Glasgow Rangers and many want to pull on the Blue jersey to say that they have had the priveledge of playing for this famous institution. FACT!!

Apparantly we are offering some 32 year old Brazilian defender a contract, played in italy for 13 years, last played for cruzeiro. Emilson Cribari is his name.
People like him would be a good signing, because he is quite old, so wouldn't demand tonnes of wages, and defenders can generally last until their mid-late 30s anyway. I would expect him to be worth 4-5k a week.

Also, we are lining up a Sandaza deal worth £1 million, 5k a week on a 4 year deal. That is bloody good IMO, he is definately worth 5k a week, and that would see him stay with us till we get back to the SPL should we win back to back promotion.

Haven't heard anything else on Elliot Kebbie, the Atletico Madrid & ex Leeds United teenager. He is a bullet on the wing, really hope we get all of these tbh.

Cant wait for the game at Ibrox on Tuesday, Bring on East Fife! WATP Stevemac

BRAZILIAN centre-back Emilson – who once cost 5 million Euros – trained with Rangers today as Ally McCoist continued to explore squad options.

The 32-year-old moved from Udinese to Lazio for the hefty fee in 2006 after spending a season on loan in Rome.
And he had four successful years there, including helping Lazio qualify for the Champions League.
Emilson then moved to Siena on loan and was sold to Napoli in 2010 where he spent a season before returning to Brazil where he most recently played for Cruzeiro.
The defender – full name Emilson Sanchez Cribari – had been interesting Serie B side Livorno but chose to come to Scotland over the weekend . *ksd* source offical rangers website

Anyone know why the club deck is closed for the game tomorrow?

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Not enough tickets sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

My guess would be that its a midweek game in the cup and even at the best of times those games struggle to sell out, so by closing the club deck the fans that do go along will all be in shot and closer to the pitch making it look more full good idea imo *ksd*

FRAN SANDAZA will jet into Scotland today for signing talks with Rangers boss Ally McCoist.
The Spaniard is likely to turn down an offer from Hercules in his homeland to sign a four-year deal at Ibrox.

Weird how he didnt want to play for us in SPL. Anyway should be good signing.

Todays Scottish Sun

FRAN SANDAZA will jet into Scotland today for signing talks with Rangers boss Ally McCoist.

The Spaniard is likely to turn down an offer from Hercules in his homeland to sign a four-year deal at Ibrox.

SunSport revealed three weeks ago that McCoist had rekindled his interest and a deal was put on the table over the weekend for the 27-year-old.

Sandaza is a free agent after leaving St Johnstone at the end of last season and has had offers from Spain, Belgium, Turkey and Ukraine.

McCoist is set to beat off that interest to land the forward he has targeted to spearhead Rangers’ rise back through the leagues.

The Light Blues had initially offered Sandaza a three-year contract, but have added another 12 months to the deal after Hercules made their interest known in the man who hit 18 goals for Saints last seasonand helped fire the Perth side into Europe.

He first came to Scotland in 2008 to sign for Dundee United following a successful spell with Valencia’s B side — but after a good first season struggled with injury.

And with Rangers’ signing embargo lifted until the end of the month, McCoist appears to have won the race for his signature.

Fran Sandaza expected to sign soon.McCoist just needs to convince him about dropping into the 3rd.Beattie deal stalling as he wants better terms.Kevin Kyle on standby if Beattie decides against joining boyhood team.

Warming to idea about Sandaza but I'd rather have Beattie than Kyle personally.

Believable20 Unbelievable19

How can u say ud rather injury prone kyle and beattie ahead of sandaza sandaza is better than 2 of them put together anybody who knows anything about ftball can see that

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok so thats not what I was saying.Wasn't keen on Sandaza to begin with but I'm all for him now to do a decent job.Kyle only comes into the equation if Beattie doesn't sign.Hope this clears it up for you.

could u tell me ed if by some outside chance we got found not proven by missuse of ebt,s what would happen.as this is 1 of main reasons we got voted into div3 ..i know were a newco so dont have to be reminded but still think main reason votes went against was ebt,s {Ed039's Note - Titles will be stripped of oldco)

Believable10 Unbelievable20

Going to be very difficult to proof, also doesnt mean you couldnt afford the players, dont see title going anywhere

Agree1 Disagree0

Stripping titles are only ONE form of punishment mentioned. As far as im concerned stripping titles should only be used when something happens like in the Italian league when there was match fixing.
This witch hunt against all things Rangers must stop and must stop NOW!!!

Agree0 Disagree1

How many times? We didn't get relegated or voted 'down' to Div 3. We were ALLOWED to take a place in Div 3 - which, considering we were a newco, was still pretty lucky. And if we are found not guilty then good, it can disappear and we can move on to football. I assume you're thinking or hoping we can claim something back retrospectively? If that's the case, you need to wake up.

Agree1 Disagree1

You may think that but you are wrong. Newco rangers are in the third division because they are a new team who eventually had to apply to the lowest division. If you want to consider what might have made other clubs and fans take such a harsh stance, perhaps Ally's outing of the panel and Sandy's threats about remembering who kicked rangers offer a better explanation.

grout

Agree1 Disagree0

We can't get found not proven in this. It's not a criminal trial.

Agree1 Disagree0

Tax law does not permit a non proven verdict.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are in the 3rd division because you are a new club and new clubs start from the bottom

Agree0 Disagree0

How can newco with no history of games, a full squad and no financial plan ... manage to get into div3 ahead of teams with years of playing history, full squads and financial accounts for 3+ years... ?

newco got in on gers old sfa ticket. If we claim otherwise too much, the teams that missed out could sue... and win in court of session

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers are a new Company not a new club, Check out the Rangers website.

Agree0 Disagree0

Titles to be stripped. doesn't matter how you dress up the ebt's, it's still cheating, so bye bye league titles for the said seasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think u misunderstood the question ed. we'd be stripped if we were proved guilty but what if we were innocent? {Ed039's Note - Ah, sorry, then probably nothing)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sadly you have been left to think that because those in charge of the leagues are so incompetent. The EBT's have not been decided upon and didn't feature in the decision not to accept a new company direct into the SPL. Furthermore you have been led to belive you were voted into division 3, you weren't. the votes didn't allow for a precedent to be set by voting a new club IN to the SPL or SFL1. Everything about this screams utter stupidity from those at the top. There was more to do with the withholding of money to HMRC throughout CW's reign, engineering administration, than the EBT's in the decision making process.
So, your question which I think Ed misunderstood, If not proven then no double contracts, titles remain with RFC. Different agenda, The SPL never said they want to strip the titles, they said they would strip the titles IF the EBT's and double contracts were proven to have been used.
I think the passage would be easier without Charles Green as he doesn't seem shy about using the support either.

Anyhoo, haste ye back.

Agree0 Disagree0

You need to start listening to the facts ... ebts are investigated by the tax man on weather they where illegal as far as the spl is concerned it doesnt matter whether they are illegal or not its the double contracts... one that was put forward to the spl and another side contract stating how much a player would get out the ebts whether the taxman finds you guilty or not the spl will still remove the titles they have already obtained the paper work from the administrators and have said you have a case to answer that means they have seen them this has nothing to do with ebts at all

Agree0 Disagree0

If ebts are found not guilty then if i was a oldco fan i would want to know why the club has been liquidated all for a 9 million tax bill that was deliberately withheld as a bargaining tool for the ebts case you would have just lost your club for nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

The answer to the post is 'nothing would happen'. The rest of the SPL will be gutted and try to pin something else on the club as we all know it's a witch hunt. EBTs are not illegal, never have been and never will be. A loophole was exposed and has now been closed. Don't know about all of you but I'm fed up with the 'you're a new company' nonsense but we'll punish you anyway for everything the old company did wrong. Unfortunately we will be found guilty, lawell and Doncaster will make sure of that (celtic lawyers on the case) and we'll be docked titles. My answer is do what you want you bitter people. I was there and saw them all so you can't take away the memories.

Agree0 Disagree0

You either used double contracts or you didnt doesnt matter whos on the panel no one is gonna tamper with evidence or plant contracts that wasnt their its not a witch hunt its called enforcing the rules and punish clubs who break them if you dont like it then you should not have done it

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree1 Disagree0

What else do you expect? Just give money to a football team you have no ties to and not expect some kind of return?. It's how it works. Always the idea to buy cheap do it up a bit and sell for a profit. Just like any property or business.

Agree1 Disagree0

Try and keep up this has been known for weeks.

Agree0 Disagree0

What else do you expect?

I would expect an investment. He has made no investment mearly made a loan. That means he actually got the assets for nothing. An investment usually carries the rider "Investments can go up or down" i.e. there is an element of risk for the investor. For Green there is no risk. He will firstly get his money back of the Newco and then Sell it one for even more money. If things dont work out then he liquidates and has a standing charge in excess of the original loan on assets.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well I'm of the confident opinion that rangers can only go one way. Up. Investment. loan. same thing. Point I was making was I don't expect anyone who is not a rangers die hard to put money into the club and not expect to make a profit. If he does make a profit it'll mean hell have done his work.
