I've been hearing young Rossiter will not play again this season. Has anyone else heard this? What the hell is wrong with him and why haven't the club announced any injury or medical condition . Why the big secret?

06 Jan 2017 21:02:14
because this is the latest disaster with this years signings whether its tue o not that's why liverpool let him go as easily but i could have wrong info

06 Jan 2017 21:02:29
Twitter is wonderful not

06 Jan 2017 21:45:34
While I wouldn't put too much faith in these rumours and would hope that it is rubbish anyone that knew Rossiter at Liverpool knew that he was a talent but that the lad had injury problems with some Liverpool supporters even suggesting that it was down to training methods!

In any event the signings made as a result of our quality Head of Coaching, McParland have not exactly been mind blowing and while he was finding players that have yet to set the heather alight Celtic went out and signed Dembele for £500k! Perhaps our Board has not set its sights as high as they should have but that is becoming the standard under King!

06 Jan 2017 22:25:44
Gers are too quiet when it comes to rossiter. he's went from 3 weeks away from a return to 3months out something not right.

07 Jan 2017 00:55:19
Tbf, tomusa, dembele was never close to being within our current price range. The fee was £500k which we could've afforded easily enough and we could also have agreed to him recieving a a healthy percentage of a future transfer fee as celtic have apparently done but we couldn't have matched his signing on fee (which I'm led to believe was hefty) or his reported £32k per week wages. Just not in our current ball park unfortunately. Celtic will receive a huge fee for him eventually imo but there won't be anywhere near as big a profit in it as we will be led to believe once he gets his cut etc.

07 Jan 2017 04:02:33
It actually annoying me that people are calling Dembele the 500k player. He was out of contract and signed on a small development fee.

07 Jan 2017 09:25:54
Spart17, I don't disagree with what you say but we were led to believe that McParland was some form of "sorcerer's apprentice" that would unearth at least one or two quality players. Sadly I am still waiting although, even quality players on Bosmans cost money and if King does not have the ambition to bring in quality that will make a difference and a massive profit for the club then we simply won't acquire their services!

Who knows, perhaps now that he has sold one of his South African Businesses to a US Company we might see some investment!

07 Jan 2017 09:39:19
But he cost 500k so he's definitely a 500k signing.

07 Jan 2017 10:53:01
It was a 500k development fee.

06 Jan 2017 13:22:46
Could Scott Allan be on the way to Glasgow after loan deal has been severed.

Will he eventually be a Rangers player? Or will he play under Lennon at Hibs? Or move to Hearts or the Dons?

Thoughts?

06 Jan 2017 13:41:27
dont know where he will end up but it should not be ibrox

06 Jan 2017 13:53:02
Scott who?

06 Jan 2017 14:37:15
Back to Celtic. At least he is getting £7k a week though.

06 Jan 2017 15:02:27
United will be in for him.

06 Jan 2017 15:04:56
Pocket change.

06 Jan 2017 15:30:35
He can go wherever he pleases as long as it's as far away from us as possible.

06 Jan 2017 16:44:58
Think if mw was going to sign player from Rotherham it would have been Dom ball before he went out on loan to Peterborough

06 Jan 2017 18:10:40
Scott Allan would stil walk into our midfield tbh lads. he brings more to the table than holt/ halliday all day long

06 Jan 2017 19:56:23
Think the boy would be a good player for pangers. Remember a guy called Kenny Miller when he signed for celtic. What ever happened to him?

06 Jan 2017 20:05:20
Yes - never better to turn someone from the dark side

He was led astride

06 Jan 2017 21:47:31
Blue die. if you think that Allan would walk straight into our midfield it says more about how poor our current midfield is rather than how good Allan is! That pretty much sums up the standard of player that masquerades in a blue jersey these days!

07 Jan 2017 00:22:40
Scott Allan is still quality but wasted at celtic as for hearts no chance and Dundee Utd don't have the money so it's hibs or your lot but in truth we don't need him as much as you do

07 Jan 2017 08:42:31
TOMUSA even you must agree he's got more quality than Holt and Halliday who are our 2 "mainstays" if you like

07 Jan 2017 08:45:38
Why no chance of Hearts, Hibsboy? And don't tell me its because he played for you's as we know Scott Allan and loyalty don't exactly go hand in hand

07 Jan 2017 09:30:11
Blue die, Holt is still young and might develop but he will never be a worldbeater. Halliday we both know my view on him.
If Allan was available on a free transfer and wanted to join us then I would take a punt. Whether Lawell, (or what ever his name is), would allow Rodgers to let him sign for us is a different matter.

He would certainly be in my team ahead of Halliday and Holt!

07 Jan 2017 10:30:48
Holt for me isn't a bad player but he just keeps busy and buzzez abt wothout ever really finding a killer pass or being a major goal threat and Halliday looks as if he plays with rigger boots on, i think at least Allan shows he's got an eye for a pass and can take players out a game with a quick change of direction

06 Jan 2017 12:48:20
Warburton supposedly told board he wants 3 new players but expects only to be able to afford one and wants that to be toral. He better be some player then that can defend score goals and create goal because we seriously need it

06 Jan 2017 13:15:54
Think he'll get another.

06 Jan 2017 13:21:53
That's poss mate but I think we will sign 3 players, but I doubt we will buy them, it will be loans till the end of the season imo

06 Jan 2017 14:50:24
He'll get at least one more after Toral, that's a guarantee.

He wants at least two, he'll get at least two. Barton wages for one thing and even had Barton worked out and stayed, odds would've been strong we'd still have money to bring in a coupe of loan players and/ or pre contracts.

These type of stories pop up every window in regards to the club's finances. Like everything else, it's pointless paper talk, it's discussed for a while by the fans and then forgotten come the end of the window, when we'll likely have about three new signings through the door.

06 Jan 2017 17:33:02
He won't get the quality he needs and that will continue while King is the major shareholder. We currently need a minimum of three players and that is provided we retain both Crooks and MOH.

Players like Halliday are just not good enough for this league but are clearly favourites of Warburton. They will take us no where!

06 Jan 2017 17:59:34
I agree with the bottom part of your post tom, but it's not Dave king that's holding rangers back, it's bloody Ashley, I'm surprised people can't see this

06 Jan 2017 18:51:16
We had the same discussions in the summer window, the January window before that and it'll be the same come the summer.

Where's the money, we haven't got the money, then days later we spend 1.8 million on a centre forward when most thought, had Waghorn not been injured in the first game we didn't even need any more strikers.

The players that are considered favourites by the manager, will up their game when the club gets in a couple of decent quality players on loan, (with a view to permanent deals) .

06 Jan 2017 19:02:32
Tom I'm beginning to think you don't rate Haliday!

06 Jan 2017 20:56:54
Fraser aird was and is total dog rubbish terrible player why on earth would we want him back!

06 Jan 2017 21:54:14
GMW, the guy is not and never will be a holding midfield player. I had high hopes when we signed him that he would be a decent player for us, playing in his own position but low and behold we fail miserably to get a holding midfield player and we try to make Halliday into one and destroy him and at the same time weaken our defence since he gives them no cover. He has gone backwards at a great rate of knots. He lacks guile, his tackling is 'wishy washy', he plays far too many sideways passes and back passes and they tend to be on the short side.

In the position he is playing you are correct, I really don't rate him! He is not alone in that respect. I don't believe that Holt is good enough for this league but at least he has time on his side to develop and I struggle with Waghorn and Tavernier, the latter of whom I really thought would have grown into a Premier League player. Unfortunately he is going backwards as well!

06 Jan 2017 22:34:09
You can't say these players aren't premier league players when we are still sitting second in the league and its past the halfway stage. Not good enough to compete with Celtic at the moment is where we're at but to say the players we have aren't premier league players is absolute nonsense.

07 Jan 2017 09:38:28
Rick, I guess you are correct given the pathetic standard of the SPL outwit Celtic. Indeed you would be hard pushed to find a sixteen man squad from all the other clubs together that could challenge them right now. What is more, there wouldn't be many Rangers players in that squad!

We are second by default because the other teams are more rubbish than we are but we might be sitting third if Aberdeen win their game in hand! What is more we might start to slide down the league if we don't make any acquisitions and Clubs like Hearts and even St Johnstone, strengthen.

Outside the MCCoist / McDowall Era, where we were a joke!, we have the poorest assortment of so called football players that I can remember. There are perhaps two or three of our players that are not currently injured or over 30 that are even worth considering for a Rangers jersey, the rest are not worthy to call themselves Rangers players.

06 Jan 2017 01:00:12
Anyone know if Fraser Aird is allowed to playing for us again?

06 Jan 2017 06:55:14
I hope not

06 Jan 2017 08:36:15
He'd be better than dodoo and forrester.

06 Jan 2017 09:07:41
Frazier is absolute dross

06 Jan 2017 09:36:25
if fraser aird was outside ma house playin football i'd shut the curtains that's how much i think about him

06 Jan 2017 09:36:27
Bollocks the boy done well in the mls playing at right back, and yes he can play for us

06 Jan 2017 10:06:46
So why did they make no attempt to keep him there

06 Jan 2017 10:16:06
Coz he's mince

06 Jan 2017 11:21:32
To be honest it's that long since I saw him play I have no recollection of how good he is. Do recall he was one of the youngsters blooded in 3rd division alongside McLeod, McKay and Crawford.

06 Jan 2017 11:30:24
Colshy, do you normally have professional footballers playing outside your house? Maybe you are the guy that can get them the dream moves they aspire to. Keep them curtains open, you never know, one day you may see a superstar out there.

06 Jan 2017 11:40:26
I don't see why he couldn't be recalled to the squad. If he has actually been converted in to a RB then between him and Hodson we have good cover for that area.

06 Jan 2017 12:24:44
cuillin72 its called banter its friday hopefully your periods stop soon

06 Jan 2017 12:45:08
Well that says it all really FD does it not

06 Jan 2017 13:41:20
I know it was banter you muppet, that was why I tried to reply in kind.

07 Jan 2017 17:04:15
Colshy do we not normally wish players who have tried their best for Rangers and young lads trying to make it in the world of football good luck and our best wishes.
If the lad came back surely we would wish him good luck
Lets not forget the Rangers way.
Lets show a bit of class and up our game. Let the others slate every one and remain obsessed by all things Rangers
