Anyone heard anything about us trying to get Vuckic back?
06 Jul 2015 16:30:38
No heard much,so much for spending money as we were promised, now I know we don't want to go down that road of mega spending but we ain't spent anything yet,we need two midfielders and two strikers

I don't get the big thing about spending money. The players we have brought in already and are trying to bring in are all bargins, players who were wanted in the English championship and who we managed to get in for no fee. This is smart business and there is really no need to spend money when these type of players are available.

100% agree with fraser. How much would foderingham have cost if he had a couple years left on his contract? One of the best keepers in league one and linked with championship sides. In the English market I'd say £2 million. Danny wilson would have cost us close to a million. Reece wabara if he signs probably close to a million. These aren't players that nobody wanted these are players who run down their contracts in order to make a step up to a higher level.
Give me 11 young and hungry free transfers from a competitive league in England over 11 David templetons costing a million each any day.

Well I doubt it! He wants 10k a week!
06 Jul 2015 18:38:06
Is this Vuckic or Wabara who wants £10k a week Kaz?
06 Jul 2015 18:46:05
Don't think the new management team ever wanted him he doesn't suit the style the manager plays, at Brentford the man behind the striker had to track back and make it a 5 when they disn't have the ball, can't see Vuckic dping that. He is still under contract for another year at Newcastle and if he does leave he will be well out of our range price wise.

Can we calm down with the " Spend money on players" we are getting loans and freebies in at the moment. The infrastructure of Ibrox Stadium and Achenhowie needed looked at before we spend on players. So please calm down there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes.
06 Jul 2015 20:37:59
Can you be more specific, OCRSC.What type of work is going on behind the scenes?
I've been awaiting news on improvements to the stadium almost as much as new players.
So what has been done?It would certainly calm me a bit to learn what you know.

Vuckic John

the work behind the scenes is critical, however getting a team together that can win the championship is key to everything. If we fail again then we will go into administration again.
I do get that ibrox is needing some serious money spent on it, murray park is needing money spent on it, the training at all levels needs looked at, player recruitment at all levels needs looked at, a scouting network needs established, a proper youth academy needs established as well as all the non football aspects and day to day running. However all that is irrelevant if we can't get a side together good enough to guarantee promotion.
MW in short medium and long term has a hard job to say the least. But if I was him my immediate concern would be getting a decent side together. We need several midfielders and attackers in soon as I fear for the season ahead without them. Without making the same mistake mccoist made.

ok mate, personally I don't think he'd be a great loss anyway we would have to pay a fee for him as well so he is well out of reach
07 Jul 2015 06:38:02
The original question got 7 Disagrees, Eh??
07 Jul 2015 09:04:40
as far as vukik goes we don't know whether warburton wants him or not but regarding ibrox and murray park may need some maintenance but a winning team on the field must be the first priority at one stage there was supposed to be volunteers willing to do some of work at ibrox or did it not get off the ground but to me all available funds should be channeled to the team this season
07 Jul 2015 12:38:16
I agree BIGWULL. What's the point on doing up ibrox and MP if we aren't going to have a team on the park able to win the league. Yes, ibrox does need some work done to it but it's hardly falling down so why not leave that until next season when we are hopefully back in the spl with more money coming in and concentrate on building a team that is going to improve over the next couple of years and possibly challenge for the title.

Why are so many fans desperate g r this guy to come back. He is very average, one paced and was posted missing in both Motherwell games.
If we can't do better then might as well give Celtic 10 in a row now.
