Anyone heard anything about Taylor signing talks today?

07 Jun 2016 10:35:56
The only thing I know is after he talks to rangers he's going to turkey to speak to a club or clubs over there mate.

06 Jun 2016 22:04:41
Esteban Alvarado Costa Rican Goalkeeper who plays for Trazbonspur in Turkey is said to be on Rangers Radar.

06 Jun 2016 18:58:28
Warburton looking into the possibility of taking Tafari Moore on loan from Arsenal as back up for Tav.

07 Jun 2016 03:55:46
Tafari Moore, to young @ 18years of age, we need players with more experience even if it's just as cover.

07 Jun 2016 09:08:08
Scotman, if he's good enough he's old enough, ball was class for us majority of this season, and zelalem finished the season off on a high, we could be doing with some young lads on loan again who are willing to fight for a place rather than sit on a bench and collect a wage.

07 Jun 2016 10:37:38
True ball is 19 and gedion is only 18 but warbs said he will get in loans after he signs his perms.

07 Jun 2016 13:32:11
mckay is our arguably best player at 21 so age is irrelevant.

07 Jun 2016 15:27:57
Delboy, you say in your post MW will get loans in after the players we will buy on transfer. My question is whose going to be in the squad or on the bench, the perms or loans. JS you say age is irrelevant I would argue the point these young guys are going to be up against experienced players, what will happen if they are thrown in at the deep end and play rubbish the fans will want them out the team. As I said in previous post we need experienced player, some of the names for loans have hardly played 1st team games.

A few people here have mentioned Adam Armstrong from Newcastle on loan. Linked to Killie today on a season loan.

06 Jun 2016 20:35:35
Looks a prospect with 20 goals for Coventry in League One last year and I doubt he'd get a start for Newcastle even though he's Championship quality simply because of Mitrovic, Cisse and Perez.

I reckon he'd bang them in up here but I just can't see him coming to us. Lee Clark will undoubtedly have better connections with Newcastle/ Ashley than us, so if he moves up here on loan I'd expect it to be Killie.

06 Jun 2016 18:14:04
Guys we ain't getting anybody on loan from newcastle.

06 Jun 2016 18:37:40
Gblue85 mike ashley would never allow this, well, unless the player was injured, as its only injured players he allows out on loan, just to cut there wage bill. lol. no don't lol, as i am totally shown my true fellings on this.

Afternoon bears and bearettes, this is my first post on the site after many months spent as a very active visitor.

News out of Turkish media today is that we're being linked with Costa Rican international 'keeper Esteban Alvarado, who plays with Trabzonspor. The guy is 6'3, 27 years of age and (if my memorys serves me correctly) spent a long time in Holland with AZ Alkmaar, where he became a bit of a cult hero following an incident involving him kicking an Ajax fan who had ran onto the pitch in 2011.

Article below is in Turkish and the translated version isn't the most accurate, but it seems Trabzonspor are wanting rid of their big name players.

We need a dependable no.1 for sure although know nothing about this guy.

06 Jun 2016 19:22:07
I still think wes has done well over the course of the season and deserves his chance in the premises, another keeper to challenge fair enough but to replace him would b harsh.

06 Jun 2016 19:48:50
He's a great shot stopper but he can be a bomb scare at the back. Good keeper not great. Think we need a better standard for the prem than Wes.

06 Jun 2016 20:30:05
For me it seems Alvarado would be an improvement on Wes. Fair enough Wes has had a good season in the grand scheme of things, but my heart is in my mouth every time the ball is played back to him.

We would be bringing in a GK who has international experience and (from the video below) has shown he can produce top quality saves vs strikers from Ajax/ PSV and other Dutch teams in a league far with far higher standards than our own top division. At 27 too he would likely have a more than decent resale value if things didn't work out/ we for whatever reason decided to sell him.

Few top saves in here from his AZ Alkmaar days:

Some remarkable stops in this one too for Trazbonspor, just 3 months ago:

Hearing that we are interested in jeremy perbet who plays as a striker and spent last season at charleroi in belgium on loan from a turkish club.

06 Jun 2016 16:33:09
Excellent scoring record in Belgium and Spain, more than 1 in 2. Strong in the air target man type l.

06 Jun 2016 16:56:04
Was vital in helping Villarreal gain promotion to La Liga a few years ago. Approaching 32yrs old though.

07 Jun 2016 13:52:43
is he another free agent?

06 Jun 2016 13:29:32
Looks like Rangers will be making an approach to sign Curtis Nelson from Plymouth. Not seen the guy play but he's another defender so its good to see some progress in that area of the park.

06 Jun 2016 17:01:50
He made a fantastic last gasp saving tackle in the play offs, but that was all I saw of him. He looked pretty fast for a defender or maybe the striker and other defender had lead boots.

06 Jun 2016 13:29:27
Rangers rumoured to be interested in costa rica GK esteban alvarado from trasponspor.

06 Jun 2016 09:13:52
Heard from a journalist that we are making a move to sign Tom Bradshaw and Romaine Sawyers from Walsall, Bradshaw is a striker and Sawyers is a playmaker, Walsall want 3 million for the pair, probably out of our price range. He also told me Bentley the goalkeeper isn't interested in moving to Scotland, he has English Premiership ambitions for next season. can't see us getting Steven Taylor either, he will make a lot more money in Turkey. Mark Warburton due back at work this week in case anyone was wondering.

06 Jun 2016 10:14:46
Steven Taylor wouldn't need to worry about Isis in Scotland.

06 Jun 2016 10:27:18
Would love this to be true both players are excellent or at least have been when I've seen Walsall play this season.

06 Jun 2016 10:55:11
Istanbul is not a place that you would want to live even though the football rivalry between the three top clubs is as exciting as it is in Glasgow.

06 Jun 2016 13:52:21
Bradshaw is certainly a fine goalscorer, he has impressed whenever I have seen him.

06 Jun 2016 12:58:18
May just go for Bradshaw.

05 Jun 2016 23:23:28
Said on here a week ago and got slated slightly. There will be a centre half at rangers tomorrow, it's most likely Steven Taylor. Good signing in my opinion.
Also there should hopefully be an announcement before Friday about a striker.

06 Jun 2016 00:45:56
If and this is a big if, Steven Taylor if he stays injury free would be a great addition, but as I said if he stays fit, but he's certainly a decent central defender imo.

06 Jun 2016 08:39:52
Not thrilled about it but would be better business than paying £3 million for Andre Wisdom!

06 Jun 2016 09:01:08
Taylor would be good signing shows in away type plsyers experience etc warbs looking aa he fit in well with wallace tav at the back.

06 Jun 2016 12:24:00
Never mind Andre wisdom, what about mr grimsdale.

06 Jun 2016 13:11:04
Have any of you actually seen Stephen Taylor play. because I have given the majority of my pals are TOON supporters. He is rank rotten and so say they.

06 Jun 2016 15:40:26
Get a grip this is Scotland not the epl, he won't be up against vardy or Kane up here.

06 Jun 2016 16:59:58
Tbh I haven't saw him play on a while but when I have saw him play he has always been pretty decent, given that's against world class players, the best striker he's going to be up against is Leigh griffiths.
