With my one and only bit of Info, Goldson, now looking likely. Some other rumour/ news/ gossip my dad and a couple of his friends just back from London. They were talking about Terry maybe coming to us and a guy from Elite something overheard and told them he was from Terry's agents and they had so far had no contact.
On a more important note with so many of you disagreeing I am crap at football I spoke to my old Sunday team coach. He went white twitched a little and said"You have more chance of playing for Rangers". So I'm sending my C. V. to S. G. and I'm younger than McAuley.

Goldson to arrive today for 3.5m, this shows we have ££££££s to spend, may be an exciting season on the horizon, in Stevie we trust, we welcome the chase.

Hopefully Gus and I’d also be happy with McAuley on free for 1 season, I’m sure he would do a job as one of our 4/ 5 CB options. I think we need at least one Deep lying midfielder maybe Mulumbu if he is on a free and also at least one striker. Hopefully we still have money to spend and I can see at least 3 loans to beef up the squad. I’m sure there will be a good few who are told they are not in the managers plans when they get a look in Spain.

I think Goldson would be a great buy, sign McAuley on a 1 year deal keep Alves that’s to good experienced players in there, and bring in a couple of younger centre backs and we would be solid in there, need cover for our wing backs to tho, think the lad Anita would be a great shout as he can play at ither right or left back, Mulumba would be great shout as well as he on a free, maybe just another creative midfielder, and we sorted there and I think Gerrard has got wingers and attacking midfielders in mind, and bringing Solanke in up top with some1 else and I think we could challenge

What are you guys smoking? There is no way are we having a 37 year old and a 38 year old at the back, we’ll need to defend that deep we won’t leave our 18 yard box. As for Goldson I’m not getting excited about a player who can’t get a game for Brighton, a player who has played 32 games in 3 years and recently had open heart surgery. I hope I’m proven wrong and he’s a great player but seriously what are we thinking?

They ain’t gna play Alves and McAuley together are they, it’s about the experience and leadership off the field too, maybe bringing on the last 20 mins games to see the game out n keep thing organised

Defo see where you are coming from Hollow however we need bodies in the CB position and McAuley would be a good option for FREE for 1 season. A short term signing yes but an upgrade on what we have just now and someone with the experience to deal with what most of the SPL will throw at him. We definitely need young CB’s with sell on value but we may only be able to make 3-4 transfers with money changing hands so for me it’s a no brainer!

Must say I’m finding it hard to get excited about Goldson myself considering his stats over the last 3 years. Hope he can do well especially if we’re spending 3.5m on him. Not too excited at the prospect of McAuley either, surely we can do better than that.

When you bring into the equation young isherwood who has great potential mcauly ain't such a bad idea i'd definitely keep alves as I've always said he doesn't loose much headers and were pathetic at set pieces. But goldson before his heart problem was first choice at brighton amd they had such high hopes for him lots of vid on youtube. Excited about the lad.

15 appearance's including fa cup and league cup in the last 2 years so how can people come on and say he shall be a great signing. personally I had never heard of the boy. would he be any better than young Souter at hearts or McKenna at Aberdeen or is it simply he is not Scottish so he must be better.

We could have got both McKenna and Souter for the same price, I hope I’m wrong with Goldson but I honestly think we’re going to end up with egg on our face with this one

Another Rob Kieran not worth 3.5million get Souter and McKenna in for that money CG not good enough or played anywhere enough games.

According to the sun this evening, rangers will announce tomorrow, that they've clinched the signing of both the centre half, connor goldson and ejaria on loan! The connor goldson deal from brighton is around the £3.5million mark!
