Rangers withheld money and fines by SFA going towards keeping Levein until 2014 on the payroll costing 700k.

Believable40 Unbelievable76

Don't talk crap mate.
Let's talk about the reason the the original rangers have had their money withheld.

Agree1 Disagree3

The sfa are a laughing stock. I'd be wound up to. Money like that should be spent on youth. HH joe

I thought that you lot were all telling us that the oldco was dead....in the water...like a duck....like the died parrot in the monty python sketch!! In which case it doesnt matter why the money was withheld, it is completely irrelevant. You cant have it both ways......we cant be dead when it suits you then alive when it suits you.
Either was, as Joe said...the sfa are a laughing stock.....not fit for the purpose. Just think.....where would they get the cash to pay Levein £35 K a month if they never STOLE from Rangers.........it would completely sink them!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Wasnt the money withheld by the spl, not sfa?
Wouldnt put it past the sfa to use any money taken from clubs to cover their own f'ups. Laughing stock, can see regan trying to get the fans back onside to save his own neck here.

Agree1 Disagree0

I this situation what is the difference between STOLE and witheld. As in withheld money from Dundee Utd, withheld money from the taxman, withheld £40 from the face painter, etc, etc....

Agree1 Disagree0

"Wasnt the money withheld by the spl, not sfa?"

The sfa withheld money due from players playing in the euros and the spl withheld the 2nd place prize money from the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who took the money for davis, etc was that sfa or spl?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its posts like this that make our game look bad rangers and scotland fan

Agree0 Disagree0

I've seen internal proof to illustrate this is true. Also 18 other clubs due money from SFA have had it withheld for this reason. And it's not just Levein there's a few other staff too....so when the new management team is in, SFA will be paying twice for management.

It will break in media soon as I e passed copies to a Scottish newspaper.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Its posts like this that make our game look bad rangers and scotland fan"

Our game IS bad........and its the sfa and spl that is doing it!!!! Sooner they are gone, the better!

Another Rangers and Scotland fan.

Absolute garbage. {The Ed039's Note - Totally)

walter smith gordon strachan alex mcleish and owen coyle all favorites for scotland post any thoughts fellow bears ? we deffo need someone who can take us forward

Believable32 Unbelievable17

Not Smith nor McLeish both walked away and deserted the manager role of the National team. Both unnavceptable in any circumstances. It would be worse than accepting wee Barry back after bevvygate.

Agree1 Disagree0

If that is the choice then I would go for Strachan. Smith has done his stint so has McLeish and not sure Coyle could do it.

Don

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you caring about Scotland.dont you think our own club need somebody to take us forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith and McLeish had their chance. We need some new blood. Its Strachan Jordan or Stark for me. JJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't Owen Coyle Irish? {The Ed039's Note - I think he was born in Airdrie or something but like alot of other folk around that era decided to turn out for Ireland, I dont think he ever got the call for Scotland. It doesnt make any difference though)

Agree0 Disagree0

Malky would be by far the best choice but would he opt for a lesser team than the one he's got?

this is a rangers page so why the hell we talking about scotland on here. it is only posh people who care about scotland most football fans in this country only care about their clubs and dont like international football. it is a waste of time and we should only have the world cup every four years the european championships is a waste of time and all the players who play there are to tired to perform after long hard seasons at their clubs. i for one dont care about scotland i care about rangers and only rangers. {The Ed039's Note - What a silly post this is, I have always supported Scotland and I can assure you I am most definately not posh ........ ask all the Lochaber Bears about Claggan in Fort William lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

Posh? i grew up in probably the roughest area going, Proudly supported team and country, always will. it sickens me to the stomach to hear fellow bears saying they don't care about our national team, why do so many want England to win rather than Scotland? historic bigots

Agree0 Disagree1

What an idiotic post.I am born and bread in the east end of glasgow.I am not posh but I very much care about my country and support scotland through thick and thin.can tell your the sort of fans who thing if u don't love king billy and the queen then your not a real rangers fane.your the kind who gives every other rangers fan a bad name

Agree0 Disagree1

It will be interesting to see who throws their hat into the ring for this one, whoever gets the job i hope they are more positive than that balloon levein ...strachan seems the obvious choice as he is without a post at the moment, smith and mcleish have had their stint and we need to move forward but the problem is the salary
pepe guardiola is the one for me!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh, I think the best man would be stark. Someone without a reputation of people expect big things. He has worked with the young lads who are about to come through. He knows there strengths and knows how to play them.

Don

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand the concerns at Smith after he left, but ppl have to understand that it was his love Rangers. The problem with the Scotland job is that if you do well you are a likely target from EPL or Championship. Therefore Strachan, Coyle, McLeish are no good. This is a job for an elderly person and Smith is the man for the job.

Whether or not this is the right place to discuss this topic I will throw my tuppence worth in.. How about John Collins as the new manager with either John Hughes or Jimmy Calderwood as assistant... The talk of Smith, McLeish,Dalglish, Souness etc etc all have had there time get some new and younger blood into the set up.. with the exeption of Calderwood that is...lol
Jock the Proud Scottish Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you be bigoted against your own national team ?

Posh Scot.

Agree1 Disagree0

Stark by far the best choice - knows the young players coming through and with the world cup now out of our reach, then these are the players we should concentrate on!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's got to be Jim Jefferies and wee Boaby!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its got to be strachan for me. He is one of the most successful managers in the last 40yrs of cfc but was hounded out by the fans for not being a celtic man

Agree0 Disagree0

Money went missing from the SFA and from the construction of Hampden . I can remember when Selic fans ppint blank refused to support Scotland and I have been back since Nicholas scored against Switzerland. And now they treat my team like something you would wipe off you shoe. Could not give a jot who gets the job.

Agree1 Disagree0

Owen coyle is levein mark 2, strachan or wattie for the job

Agree0 Disagree0

I think in all reality Walter would do the best job. (would rather see him back at Rangers in some capacity tho). Walter is a proven man-manager, proven at working with what you've got and proven at having the tactical know how to set a team up and get a result against supposedly better opposition. Exactly what a being the Scotland National boss is all about. Just look at our UEFA cup run for proof of the above. However, i think Strachan would be a great alternative. Always liked the wee man...patriotic, passionate, witty, tactically-astute and with a good track record in the game. Malky McKay & Owen Coyle are definitely ones for the future imo.

P.S - to the half-wit who doesnt care about the Scotland NationalTeam....u seriously need to get a grip mate. How can u be a football fan and not support your own country? Your on people? Astounded.

Overdose15

Agree0 Disagree1

Posh lol stupid reply to be honest i would go for wee strachan

Agree0 Disagree0

I always go to hampden in my tuxedo lolllll

Agree0 Disagree0

Walter to me is the obvious choice. He has experience, he is not into the day to day running a club and he has a proven track record. The others are good suggestions but if an EPL club came knocking at the door they would be off. Unfortunately the idiots at the SFA would not agree as WS walked away from the job once before (for the right reasons I might add, and I am not an RFC supporter) so that would be the main barrier. OP - should never go onto chat sites when you have been drinking or smoking the waccy baccy son.

Agree0 Disagree0

To call a fan posh because he supports scotland is a joke all football fans should get right behind the team
