Thats right we're skint, signed mcgregor, davis and whitaker to long term contracts, if the bank was still running things they would be gone or going at the end of current contracts. We've signed ortiz, goian etc. Have bids in for cuellar verhoek, juhasz. ok we've lost on out a few players but that unfortunately happens. so hardly skint but they will learn from this season for the future and wont make these mistakes again

Wesley Verhoek to go to Nottingham Forest. All over Twitter and originally came from a Den Haag website. Been translated into English and reads, he has told his team mates he's played his last game today and is on his way to Forest.
I'm a Forest fan but also follow Rangers.

Austrailian A League is on a par with our league. Austrailia are producing better talent than us simple as that. Just because we dont see much of Austrailian football or their national side doesn't mean he won't be a gd player or a bad player. Austrailia have performed a lot better than us internationally so to slate the nation is a poor misjudgement

I live in Australia the 'A' league is not on par with spl. I've seen a fair bit of McKay had a really good season with roar last year works hard, good pace, good crosser. But don't think he has played much left mid for Australia only left back? Well not in big games... But for spl? I think he is no Better then Wylde who is much younger. We need a game breaking winger not just an average Joe who plays there.

Bartley is a fringe player at arsenal. you no happy with him being back at ibrox. judge players on quality and performance not on the fact they are fringe players. chelsea are 1 of the best teams in world football so a couple of their fringe/young players will do me fine {Ed047's Note - this loaning of fringe players is a worldwide practice. Real Madrid, AC Milan etc do it. Why should we be above it?

Dont agree with this loaning of players. We should be out there picking good young players and keeping them together and building a team, rather than having a few loan players for one season.

Loan players are all well and good but not at the expense of home grown talent, we need to see more of ness, hutten and wylde etc

Jelavic won't be joining Man Utd and Davis won't be joining Everton. Do you lot honestly think McCoist would sanction the sale of our two best players and leave the team in the lurch? The squad is short in numbers as it is. These are nothing but rumours, I wish folk would stop posting these gash rumours and also wish idiots would stop believing them

Anyway, onto a more serious note, received a text which stated Anderlecht and Den Hag won't be accepting Rangers latest bids for Juhasz(spelling) and Verhoelk(spelling). If this is true then things are only going to get a whole lot worse at Ibrox, as a season ticket holder, which my hard earned cash payed for, I am very disappointed, embarrassed and extremely worried at whats in store for this season.

Men against boys (literally) yesterday I fear for the future of rangers. Whyte not interested in the team, just the brand.

I hear you mate but as a successfull business man I''m sure he knows that the brand is nothing without a successfull team on the park. Well, I'd like to think he does.

Cut us some slack though. Chelsea are fighting to WIN the Champions League, we can't even qualify for it which would have been classed as success for us now. Our aim is to win the league first of all and push for at least semin finals of the Europa League - which we ARE capable of winning.

I was at the game and we played well in the first half apart from a couple of players (Edu and Broadfoot). It was men against boys in the second half because we had a more youthful team and Chelsea had there first choice team on. There are good signs there and If Craig Whyte had not taken charge there would be no new players and every other first member would be up for sale. We have short memories and should be giving the manger and owner a chance.

Mostly seasoned internationalists including a World Cup winner costing about £500m and runners up in the EPKL against us.
If you want to talk comparisons, we did not too bad. (CFC 0 Wolves 2 anyone )
Having said that we had little imagination in attack and need that kind of player now.

The second half was an entire team of reserves .

I thought there were encouraging signs yesterday. I thought McMillan was superb (far better than Whittaker has been this season), Hutton played the holding midfield role better than McCulloch and Fleck showed some much needed creativity in the second half. However, even by his own incredibly low standards, Broadfoot was awful.

It was worth the 20pd to watch experienced professionals stroll through a game- referring to john terry- say what you like about him but his leadership and off the ball play was great to watch

Drogba, Torres and Lampard failed to score against a makeshift Rangers defence. The game was closer than the scoreline suggested.
How are Rangers supposed to compete with a team that spends 50 million on one player and has Abramovich a its helm? We're not - simple there is no comparison.

Just be thankful c. whyte is in charge and not the banks short memories out there

Broadfoot was awful in spells, namely causing the goals, but he made some good decisions and tackles at times. The lad plays with his heart despite not being quite rangers standard. Its a shame he switches off and it was catastrophic for the team. People forget how defensive McCulloch is. The point of that role is for him to drop into defense when Bougie bombs forward. He's ood off the ball and makes a good challenge. People also forget he's just back from a knee injury so he's not going to be the fastest and he's not going to chance it going forward too often. Give him a break.
