Bazbear - you're talking mince, Lovenkrands just visited Murray Park when Newcastle were up here pre-season and he ain't coming back. Gattuso's wife is Scottish, but it is unlikely Rangers could (or would want to) pay those kind of wages to bring him back. He often returns to see the in-laws and trains here BUT he is not going to rejoin us. . EVER. Oh, and Ricksen? He's retired - now, GET OVER IT!

Rangers Rumours
There has been a lot of talk or rangers signing players on this, yet Walter Smith stated in the champions league press conference today that there are no funds available to loan someone never mind signing someone long-term. Even if Rangers are bought over, it will take weeks of tweeking legal matters, tax issues and unfankling RFC from Murray International Holdings will be complex. I hope I'm wrong because the squad could be doing with 3 or 4 additions. David

A couple of thoughts come to mind. In terms of timescale I think that this is why we are being told it will probably take until the new year for the deal to be done. On the availability of funds for signings is this a case of we have no funds or a cagey game of we may have funds from player sales and or investment from new owners but if we say this the price of any potential targets goes up. I don't know the answer just put forward the suggestion.

Walter Smith has said he is not interested in being Director of Football, and sometime in the future if and when Rangers have new owners, he might consider a position on the board if offered.

Smith has every faith in McCoist as the new manager and McDowall as his assistant.
