Just Back from a meeting with my local supporters club, the lad in charge (who's in the know) has told me that Britt assombalonga will be a rangers player by Wednesday also he asked me to see if any one has spare tickets for Motherwell let me know thanks
Nimsay

Signed for £5mil (plus add ons) in 2014 on a 5 year contract. I'm afraid this ain't happening unless we are forking out millions.

07 Jul 2016 22:31:21
he will cost millions.

07 Jul 2016 23:18:13
If your mates in the know how can he not get his own tickets!

07 Jul 2016 22:53:34
Guy cost them 5.5 million being out for the last year scored 16 goals in 33 games where are we finding the cash for this guy?

08 Jul 2016 09:22:12
Don't believe this will happen, his market value is 5 mil plus he dislocated his knee in February 2015, not sure if he made any comeback before the end of this season.

Bears! let's remember what this season is about, Yeah we want to challage for the Lge and yeah Ithink that that mob are so over rated that they've forgot how crap they really are. That manky mob got pushed by a bunch of sheep who bottled it time and time again! and how much did that side cost to put together? prob under 1m for the whole team, In my opinion the team Warbs has put together so far and the importance of Mcparland has been key. Should we really be spending 1-2m on a player if King can rustle up the funds, and would this be partly to appease fans? This is the season that Warbs and King have a bit of breathing space. I hate saying this BUT if we push them all the way and can get a cup this season so be it, BUT Europa Lge group stages is a must for our club nxt season! that's a gaurunteed 8m that's going through the whole group without a WIN! So Bears let's remember that this season is still part of the journey and we are still building, I personally do not think that Bradshaw Griggs and the others mentioned in the papers will arrive! I think Warbs will bring in 3 high end loans from top clubs South of the border, guys who are chapping on the door of the first team of the likes of Spurs Liverpool Man City and guys who are valued at far far more than we could afford now! some of our so called targets have ended up at Oxford! So trust Warbs and King. Also due to our financial situation I hope we play the waiting game for Greg Stewart, the lad has blue blood and they value him at 1.5m so let's wrap him up on a pre in Jan, hope to see him at Ibrox but at the moment I think he'd play week in week out at Dens instead of sittin on our bench bein rotated as our midfield is sorted. BTW I really do think we can do something this season and picking up 3 points at the methadome would be Sweet!

07 Jul 2016 20:11:08
Apparently mcparland in talks with will Grigg but Wigan want £2m which could be the stumbling block.

07 Jul 2016 22:28:29
No as warburton has just said in an interview before leaving the states he is not interested in him or Bradshaw and the real targets have not been dug out by the media yet so that puts them two not good enuff players to bed thank god.

07 Jul 2016 23:24:11
He'said we weren't interested in pretty much everyone we've signed.

07 Jul 2016 22:52:47
Warbs has not long ago said in an interview with the daily record that the striker we're signing has not yet been mentioned by the media.

07 Jul 2016 16:34:49
Apparently Mariappa failed to agree with terms with rangers and is now heavily linked with burnley.

07 Jul 2016 17:56:17
yes feels like he wants to go elsewhere. Don't see this as a major problem, decent player but if he is unsure then better he goes elsewhere.

07 Jul 2016 18:37:16
Money, nothing more or less who in their right mind would choose Burnley over a major club with a worldwide fan base, ? Money, end of.

07 Jul 2016 19:05:27
playing in best league in the world probably had something to do with it aswel.

07 Jul 2016 19:19:42
He can piss off then choosing that wee club over the glasgow rangers. Mug.

07 Jul 2016 21:43:13
Money talks JD!
He's obviously money driven, with zilch ambition to win trophies! Barton would have had offers from other clubs offering higher wages, I salute the man!

07 Jul 2016 20:34:22
Jd90 spot on mate the moment people try to piss us about and the other club are some wee team we should withdraw our offer we want players who want to win things not hookers out to turn a trick for the highest bidder personally I wouldn't deal with his agent either as they are the pimps.

07 Jul 2016 21:49:37
Would u want to play 4 big games a year or play Man u . Man city . Chelsea . Liverpool . Tottenham . Arsenal . Everton . West Ham and the rest twice a year and earn twice as much per week.
I would have liked to see him in Royal Blue but I trust the manager will get someone else if not him.

07 Jul 2016 22:32:29
the attitude of some fans is disgusting, he doesn't want to sign for us big deal he's English maybe he doesn't fancy living in Scotland.

07 Jul 2016 22:05:59
Good get Marriapa to . Overrated overpaid . Our next signing is a centre forward and hopefully someone to challenge Kenny Miller cause I can't believe guys on here who think Waghorn is an out and out striker. WRONG. not anywhere need good enough.

07 Jul 2016 22:16:32
Rang5r5 i see on another site frank mcpartland is in talks with will griggs tonight, don't know how much truth is in it, but he has been linked with us for a while.

08 Jul 2016 12:09:02
Assombalonga is certainly a big name,
12 letters.

07 Jul 2016 17:05:44
When warburton mentioned the signing being a big name, I still think the player he was talking about is Ings, there is no bigger name we are linked with than Ings, Ings bossed the championship and I would take him at our club in a heartbeat, quality player and still young.

07 Jul 2016 17:37:12
When did warburton say it will be a big name?

07 Jul 2016 22:48:40
Ings 4 letters so it can't be him if it's a big name!

07 Jul 2016 23:20:13
Klopp has already said he will be an important player this season. Ings is 100% not coming to us. Warburton has been quoted as saying media has yet to name any of their striker targets. So no ings or griggs for a start I'd suggest!

08 Jul 2016 00:47:40
Didn't say a big name. he said one that no one has cottened onto yet.

07 Jul 2016 21:29:24
I hope so I think he would be a great player for us a typical poacher and with our quality in midfield there will be plenty of chances for him to tuck away 41 for the season.

07 Jul 2016 15:26:40
just met niel lennon chatted for about 5 min asked him about jason Cummings he said rangers are not even in for him and in his opinion he was not ready for step up to to spl and he is going to sign a new contract way his p. s he was really nice guy belive it or not. I have photo to prove.

07 Jul 2016 16:08:40
john boy as much as I hate that person, your not actually wrong met him a few times and he is sound as a guy but was a tool of a football player and even more of a greeting faced person as a manager!

07 Jul 2016 17:53:10
Disagree mate he was at my cousins wedding when he was still a player and totally blanked a few members of my family, I never spoke to him personally nor did I want to.

07 Jul 2016 17:58:44
Lennon is ok if your of that persuasion but can't stand Cummings totally overrated prima Donna IMO and don't think Warbs would touch him.

07 Jul 2016 18:43:12
He lived on wed end of Glasgow for years, hardly surprising you met him, I come from there, I've also had chats with him and he seems decent enough. But he got caught up in the east end hate for us, and I told him that, I also told him Larsen didn't and that why he was respected by most bluenoses, and I always said Rangers weren't interested in a ned like Cummings.

07 Jul 2016 18:53:09
Ive checked him in when he was going his holidays and i can confirm he is an absolute w**k.

07 Jul 2016 21:13:48
I met him once and can confirm he is a great big nob head.

07 Jul 2016 23:27:46
i lived in his home town when he was a player and can confirm he's a complete balloon!

08 Jul 2016 00:56:12
Well I feel sorry for u all who have met him and that have pretended you have met him.

07 Jul 2016 11:42:15
Rangers is looking to bring lee erwin back to the SPL from leeds united former stiker of motherwell.

07 Jul 2016 12:46:09
Nope! Who's next?

07 Jul 2016 13:04:51
The guy who started a riot in the playoff final. lol can't see that.

07 Jul 2016 17:30:13
As much as I am a bluenose, the lad Erwin never started anything. He put his hand out to shake moshni' and he refused. Erwin made a comment and moshni threw the first punch.

07 Jul 2016 17:39:48
Jimjam you forgot to mention he shoved moshni heavily in the back. He also said after the game he was a rangers fan once but not anymore. Deserved the punch and kick he got.

07 Jul 2016 18:09:36
To be honest most rangers fans would've kicked moshni up the ar** as he was the waste of a squad number.

07 Jul 2016 22:34:33
listen Lee Erwin is a rangers fan and would 100 percent sign for rangers if the opportunity arose. he's a young boy who tore us apart over 2 legs and will no doubt be playing for Scotland in the coming years.

07 Jul 2016 10:53:58
Warburton May Consider Making a move for Lyle Taylor as he can score goals like he proved at Wimbledon Fc, hopefully when we return from the states he makes a bid, in warbs we trust.

07 Jul 2016 12:02:28
who? lol never heard of him or seen him play what's his scoring record.

07 Jul 2016 12:19:54
Has was on loan at Partick for a while he is now at Wimbledon he has done ok at that level but that is his level he is no we're near good enuff for us.

07 Jul 2016 12:20:03
23 goals and 7 assists in 48 games. Not bad, but not exactly the quality we need. If he done that in league 1 i'd be interested but not league 2.

07 Jul 2016 12:23:26
Gerz are you sure you aren't just saying this because someone mentioned him on here last night lol.

07 Jul 2016 13:46:00
What division by MW sign Windass and Crooks again?

Doh!

07 Jul 2016 14:11:58
Gharrower, Crooks and Windass are 22, Taylor is 26, big difference. Crooks and Windass are maturing, Taylor is coming near his prime and still plays at league 2 standard.

07 Jul 2016 14:34:06
I don't understand your point at all. 26 is not old and as you say is nearing prime. He played against AS in play offs and scored against them and again the play off final.

My point is that if we have signed Windass and crooks, no reason at all we could not be interested in Taylor. Effectively most comments say he is not good enough so is that is presumably same for the 2 we have signed?

Look I have not seen him linked or saying it will happen but the comments you make just don't stack up for me.

07 Jul 2016 15:11:07
Gharrower, age is a massive difference. if you are 22 in league 2 you can still make it. if you are 26 and play in league 2 chances are you won't. Windass had Arsenal scouting him. Taylor didn't. Makes me genuinely think we won't be looking at him.

07 Jul 2016 17:07:19
Looks like more agree with me than you :)

I really don't get your age thing. He's 26! We're not talking about 36 vs 32! All players in league 2 across all UK divisions pack it in if 26 and over, no chance to progress! Ever heard of a late developer? Did we not just sign Clint Hill, joey Barton?

And he is no longer a 2nd div player as he did more than anyone to get W'don promoted to 1st div.

He looked every bit as good as Windass in the play off. game. All I'm saying is a guy is getting slated for a rumour similar to 2 guys already signed!

07 Jul 2016 17:08:19
I said this last night that he would be cheap and worth a try because he would only be a couple of hundred thousand at most with a year left on his contract and I'm sure warbs can improve him. Plus he was fantastic for Falkirk and Partick while he was there.

07 Jul 2016 18:03:00
This idea that every player reaches their prime at same age is ridiculous. Barry Ferguson prime 22-28 yrs
Davie Cooper prime 28-32 yrs
It depends on genetics injuries and form.

07 Jul 2016 21:07:55
Dare I say remember that wee English player who's just won the league? AYE vardy!, he was league 2 he was conference league. He made it.

08 Jul 2016 01:17:34
Barton and hill have premiership experience, this guy doesn't so really don't know why you've made the comparison.

08 Jul 2016 07:50:53
No comparison on experience. Just said s 4 year difference between 26 and 22 was not important.

08 Jul 2016 08:59:37
Gharrower, it really is. Windass throughout the season was the better player and is 4 years younger, meaning he has the potential to be a much better better than Taylor. There is a lot of younger lads that are better than taylor we can get. Which makes you think it won't happen. Age is a massive thing these days. if you can get 22 year old and a 26 year old of the same quality, you'd normal gamble on the 22 year old.

07 Jul 2016 08:25:04
I've been told by a good friend of mine who has a contact within Ibrox that the bid for either Will Grigg or Tom Bradshaw has been sanctioned by the board. Dubious myself but he has been right a few times before.

07 Jul 2016 10:26:28
the bid for either f those two?
which one as i'm sure the board wouldn't sanction 2 of them and if your friend heard something wouldn't it be more specific?

07 Jul 2016 11:23:06
James, do you know what either means? Bradshaw and Griggs are on Warburtons Radar, Warburton is being allowed to go for one or the other, not both, so he is allowed to go for EITHER Grigg or Bradshaw, which ever he'd prefer.

07 Jul 2016 11:37:27
Don't believe a word of it but would love bradshaw.

07 Jul 2016 12:38:36
Would take either to be fair but i think it will be bradshaw.

07 Jul 2016 12:09:53
Have a vote I'm for Bradshaw I think Griggs is a wee bit over rated plus I can't sing to save my self lol.

07 Jul 2016 13:30:15
Humey grigg was never really mentioned until that song came oot lmao.

07 Jul 2016 15:43:35
only show I do know what either means but I am sceptic as to how your friend heard this in ibrox normally the manager will be told on an individual basis you can go for such and such but your freinfd heard that it was either of them?
exactly what is it your friend does in ibrox?

I don't mean to be abrupt mate but it just hits me as a load of bull!

07 Jul 2016 16:49:38
For it to move from 8/1 for him to sign for us 3 days ago and now the betting is suspended for it, there must be decent size bets being lumped on us signing grigg.

Has there been a massive bet placed on it? The bookies think he's only going 1 place and they're very rarely wrong when they suspend the betting.

07 Jul 2016 16:35:51
James, my friend was told this though a friend he met in the lodge (my friend is rather high up so goes around quite a few lodges in Scotland) who's dad works in Ibrox alongside the board. It could be a load of bull, I honestly don't know, I'm just the messenger, however this friend of mine has told me quite a few things before that I've thought were bull that came true. So I thought it would be nice to share my information.

07 Jul 2016 16:38:04
However James I must add that I am dubious of this rumour. But I guess time will tell. If we do sign Bradshaw/ Grigg in the coming weeks I guess I'm right, if we don't then I guess my friends contact was wrong.
