seen chat of us looking at lewis morgan of st mirren whos contract up next summer. anyone any knowledge of what he is like?

He's certainly been looked at because he was in our youth system a few years ago. It's also reported that Tosh McKinlay has recommended him to the mhankies, but that's not much to go on. The laddie's probably had a decent game or two and his agent is now actively trying to punt him to somebody.
He played for Scotland against England at under 21 level the other night and I never heard anyone raving about him. He's just turned 21 and should be at the stage where he is very close to being a first team player and I don't think he would be. We've probably got better on our books (Atakayi? ) .

Yes have heard lots of good reviews about this kid on ssc and other st mirren fans is it another kenny mcclean and so many others scenario

I'd definitely take him. For all the moans about us never producing young players he is another example that it isn't the producing them that is the problem it is identifying which ones we keep. The other night watching the auld enemy u21's I went into it looking to see Burke as the main attacking option but in my opinion it was morgan his hunger definitely outstripped that of Burke and if we can get him back it would be a good bit of business. For all those Pedro haters the fact he tries out young players gives us more of a chance in identifying and keeping our best from the academy
