A great few days for us and now the talk is about what loans we'd like to make permanent. Looking at the Liverpool lads, I think Ejaria and Kent have given themselves and everyone else a dilemma. It will take more improvement over a few years before they would get close to starting for Liverpool, so either they go elsewhere and chase the big wages, or we try to keep them on loan for another season, because we cannot afford to buy them.

Both have long contracts at Anfield. Our best bargaining position is that we can offer them European football, which they won't get in the lower reaches of the EPL, and fanatical crowds of 50,000 which they'd only get at Anfield. I would happily settle for these two boys for two years. Maybe then we'd be in a position to get them on a more permanent basis, but if not it will have been a productive two years for all concerned. Obviously, we'd take Coulbaly at the right price. Thoughts?

Coulbaly all day
Kent could be a player
Buy both.

Would take Kent and Coulibaly all day long. Ejaria I’m still not convinced. Can look brilliant at times but turns into trouble far too much for my liking.

Has Kent not said he'd be open to a permanent move?

I can't believe comments from people saying they are no convinced by Ejaria. For me the boy is going to be a star and of all the loan signing's he is probably the least likely to sign permanently, mainly because Liverpool truly recognise his potential.

I would definitely take Kent, Coulibaly and Ejaria. Not convinced about Worrall however, given the rumoured asking price!

I would love Kent to sign permanently.

Struth18, he did say that, obviously he's hardly going to say he doesn't fancy it here. However, Klopp has previously stated his price is £7million, which is about double what I think our estimate would be.

I believe Kent could happen if he really wanted to come permanently. We wouldn't be able to pay Liverpool's asking price but Gerrard might be able to sweet talk them into a lesser fee with them keeping a larger percentage of a sell on fee.

That's a possibility, MikeGer, especially if the lad asserts that this is what he wants.

Scary to think playing the unbeaten league leaders that if we had played the full 90 at 100% the scoreline could have been embarrassing. Wonder what the Hearts players will think when they wake up.

Well according to Levein the felt they lost 3 avoidable goals and fancies themselves to get a result if they had kept 11 men on pitch. I was hoping after the start we had we would put 6 or 7 past them but a wins a win and I’ll take them all day long.

A wee look at mcgregors contribution had a lot to do with the result.
I'll take 3-1 all day long but it was closer than it should have been.

08 Oct 2018 19:11:45
I think they were there to be hammered yesterday but we took our foot off the gas. Delighted with 3-1 though.

Levein is a funny guy, the game was over in the first 30 min👍. Had to laugh when he said we started to panic after they got a consolation goal🙃. We could have played for another 5 hours and gave them 12 men and they still wouldn't have beat us👍.

@coldo - totally agree. I was disappointed in them after all the hype. They have a 6ft x 4ft battering ram up front with the rest feeding off his scraps.
