there is no deal rangers offered joey 2 months wages and he promptly went on the panel with stress not the actions of a rangers player he could be there for a while yet.

At least we didn't pay a fee for him. So basically all we have lost out on is wages. If he is away before year end, then we are saving the £1.5m, give or take, he would have earned by staying for 2 seasons. The severance pay he will get would have been 8 weeks wages anyway.

Right its all clear now yes bartons been waste of money yet again. But personally i think he should off got least chance for godsake all because he opend his mouth we all knew wut he was like fore we signed him he was vocal and had opinion wich is good and bad but he never properly got chance with us tbh he was still behind in fitness aswell, now nobody can't deniy this but we get bullied in midfield we are lightweight n its disgrace just like the centre halfs we have start off the season tht should have been top priority defensive midfield and two good defenders and it never happend and worked out now were payin the price and it may cost warburton his jotters.

{Ed039's Note - You are wrong Kaney, he has agreed to mutual termination with an agreed severance of 2 months wages agreed being reported. This basically pays him up until the transfer window when he will be allowed to sign for another club, this leads to assumptions he already has a deal lined up)

barry middleton mate you don't know exactly what was said and what was said when they met again so u can't say he deserved a chance . there is only so much a manager will take before saying u will never play for this club again and as we know joey is a mouthpiece.
the reason we aren't as strong in the middle of the park is we play three in there an most teams are lining up a 5 midfield to overpower us in there.
I want warbs to stay but he has to realise soon that this formation is okay for some games and not for others. he must try a 4-4-2.

the fact is warburton new what he was getting when he signed barton and should have managed him a lot better if he did the situnion would not have happend
for sum reason a lot of the signings have not worked out for this warburton has to take the blame he signed these players
got to agree i do not want warburton to go but he must change his formation quickly or he will put himself out of a job
at brentford he played players with a lot of pace and tenchnicaly good
players that suited this formation
it is plain to see our players
do not suit the formation this season is a step up in quality and we are beeing found out alot.

Bil72, no I obviously don't know what's going on but if we had a situation similar to this I would like to know both sides . We have had our problems with players and boards in the past but recently your boys seem to be stealing the limelight at the minute. I would prefer if clubs were a bit more open, I'm sure fights go on all the time at training grounds . There must be more to it than that for your club to ban him for so long, then cut his contract.

Another thing I have to get of my chest think its ah absolute joke that Barton is getting punted because he was passionate like myself bout rangers he spoke his mind and now getting punished for it this is another reason I can't stand Warburton joey was right to speak his mind what because he plays terrible tactics picks his favourites most time and plays horrible 433 that just doesn't work then on the other hand u have a little jerk and wessil Andy halliday total lightweight and can't play the defensive midfield and thinks he can walk straight in our team cause he's born and bread Glasgow rangers well it doesn't cut it with me I would have Barton in there any day least he would stick the boot in were it hurts. {Ed039's Note - I'm glad you got that off your chest Barry but I cant agree with everything, the bottom line is you have no idea what went on between The gaffer, Barton & Halliday, and in that I mean you don't know exactly what was said. I never liked Joey Barton so I have no time for the guy, Andy Halliday has played better than any midfielder we have in that position and I believe we will finish 2nd in the league. You make some good points about the formation and the gaffer not handling situations properly (personally I would have sacked Barton on the spot) and Rob Kiernan but I think the rest of it was just ranting for the sake of ranting)

only cb I know that grabs a hold of his team mate (clint hill) in the defending of a corner, always shows goal side to opposition and is slower than ma wee 75 year old nana.

I think our defence has been playing well recently, the goal at County was bad ok but there were more players in that box than Hill and kiernan.

come up against good opposition and they will rip our defence apart but I think seders and Wilson would be the best of the bunch and I don't think they are good defenders.
Wilson on his day is good with the potential to be a great defender but never puts in a 100% shift. and can't stop a cross from coming in its like he is scared to get hit with the ball at times.
really need new centre backs as if we have a solid defence it give the rest of the team confidence to go forward without worrying if they idiots at the back f*ck up again.

I know my last post was bit negative so to balance it out I still think with how good the rest of the spl are we will finish second comfortably.

Our central defence is poor. Kiernan is a big guy but for his height and strength he is very weak. Tackles are soft doesn't command aerial attacks when he should be winning every ball that comes in. I really struggle to see what Weir is doing. The whole team with few exceptions has no fight, they lack a winning mentality and they don't play as a team like the Smith and Souness sides did. That is part of course might be down to the fact that we lack leadership on the park.

Correct ed, the only people that know what Barton actually did was the players and the gaffer, he must have crossed the line because training ground spats go on all the time, so he has done something worse than that.
