Ellis has said it will be January before the takeover is completed. The reason he's not pushing it through quicker is that he's not got the immediate funds for players in Jan and doesn't want to start off with negative thoughts. Source~ Live and work in the Banking section in London.

Will people stop saying that IF whyte buys the club then mccoist won't be manager. BECAUSE ITS NOT HIS DECISION ITS THE RANGERS BOARD and they have already decided on Ally so stop saying things like I Heard This and that. Cause you know nothing of whats going on in the deal and unless you personally know whyte then you have no information on what he thinks about ally mccoist becoming manager

Its the owners who make decisions, not the board. Ask at your jobcentre about free Business Management courses, they are ready available to long term unemployed.

Garbage even if he does manage to buy the club its still the boards decision on who becomes manager, and they have already decided on McCoist And Just Because Ray Wilkins and Ellis know each other doesn't mean anything. Its whyte that buys the club ellis is just a sponser helping him.

After the takeover a new board will be appointed. It would not be good business sense for incoming new owners to uphold a gentlemans agreement and as owner Mr Whyte will be perfectly within his rights to hire any manager he so wishes.
Whyte and Ellis are pledging to wipe out £27 million debt and pay another £5.5 million to shareholders (£4.6 million which will go to David Murray). Whyte will take on 75% ownership with Ellis paying around £6 million for a 25% percent stake in the club. (Source: Daily Record 1/12/10) Hardly a sponsor is it. That gives Whyte and Ellis 100% control of the club so they have the power to over rule any board decisions and with their past record why would anyone buy a company with so many stipulations laid down by previous owners. This is called restructuring, an action which most new owners of a company use to a any required extent. As soon as the deal is done David Murray has no power at Ibrox to dictate any appointments or ventures regarding our club. I just think when the deal is done we could be facing a revolution to compare to David Murrays take over in 86/87 with a more renowned manager to lead us on. It is not as if Murray has a great track record of keeping promises (the redevelpoment of Ibrox, our super casino and shopping mall that never materialised, the fiver and tenner statement). Whether Whyte/Ellis do or don't want McCoist as manager we really don't know, but please don't think for a minute it will be anyone but THEIR man at the helm, it will be their company to do as they see fit. Some people are better suited to assistant manager/coach roles and IMO that is where McCoist is invaluable to us. Anyone any suggestions who they think/fancy in the case of a new manager coming in?

Mark Reynolds - Replacing Webster
Sproule - The next Nacho Novo in my opinion
Morgano Gomis - Think there is chance Edu might go.
Prince Buaben.

also got a feeling Craig Conway's contract might be up unless he signed one in the past few months.

All of the s*eep you have said up there is what is being said in your head 'think' Edu will go? and a 'felling' that conways contract is up. Not to mention that Sproule is NO where near the quality of novo or anyone at rangers.

Most of the she*p I have said here is fact. As for Conway I think I'm right but I'm not an arrogant person and am conscious i can be wrong. As for Edu leaving or not there are a number of things that could affect this so no-one KNOWS!

Ok I can sort of understand the Conway thing but you can just say that Edu will leave (source) because the only source that I can see is what you have made up.

If Edu leaving was the actual rumour. Gomis coming in is the rumour!

The take-over would mean we do not need to sell however if not we will look to get money in and as far as I understand Gomis coming in free and Edu leaving for 2-3 mill would be deemed one of the most likely without losing much of our team ability/structure.

Hey was at the casino last night aye saw allan mcgregor there he says he was talking to barry robson and hes coming to the gers and he said 110% staying at ibrox

What casino was this? Why would McGregor tell a complete stranger any inside info that he can't possibly know (see previous posts). He is only the Rangers goalkeeper so will have no knowledge of any going ons at the Riverside or Ibrox. Or are you admitting to McGregor tapping up players for Rangers? Is he in charge of scouting and precuring talent to us now?If his g/f can get dissed on here surely a stranger in a casino is not a confidante of this bit part player at ibrox. And anyone sitting in a casino that thinks 110% is a real number must be dumber than a very dumb guy wearing flip flops today to take his kids to school just to realise it was shut. Dont take betting tips off Alan McGregor I say.

Mr Ellis has had numerous meeting with David Murray since the begining of his already failed take over attempt. Do your homework and please stop showing your ignorance. You are giving Gers fans a bad name. Craig Whyte has had no contact with Murray till now because he is actually a Motherwell supporter and was living in exile due to unpaid taxes to HMRC and a debenture to Lloyds that he defaulted on.

Source: Google Whytes name and also check registers at Company House

Is it the case that anyone who may have the temerity to disagree with you or cast doubt on the quality of your post gives Gers fans a bad name or are ignorant! This is the intolerance we expect elsewhere in the city. The point of the matter is that whatever the level of discussion that have taken place it is unlikely that Whyte & Ellis who have not yet concluded a deal, will have discussed their views on this matter at a level that would reach the dressing room. Yes they will have a plan but it strikes me as unlikely that they would look to rock the boat before the end of the season as there is still a title to be won. If they are as smart as we hope and trust they are this would be a discussion for a later date when they have control.

I am aware of a debenture being a style of investment in a company differentiated from equity by a definative rate of interst beng paid but still risk capital. I'm also aware of a debenture being a security granted over the moveable assets of an English registered companys but I've not heard of it in respect of a debt instrument to default upon?

That she may know what is going on within her sphere of influence is accepted. However given that Whyte & Ellis have not yet spoken to the Rangers Chairman their views on who may or not be the next manager will not be something that she has any knowledge of, which is the point I'm making. You appear unable to accept that the thoughts of Whyte & Ellis will be their own at present other than with trusted advisors. As to the next Manager I'm personally not convinced about McCoist however Walter, who knows a bit more about the job than me (and possibly you) appears to think he would do a half decent job

Oh well I guess it must be true if it comes from this source as I'm sure that she is a trusted advisor to Whyte & Ellis. It's not a case of truth but rather is the rumour credible! I think we can draw our own conclusions there

No but she is trusted (ahem) by the Rangers No.1 and if there was any serious talk of him leaving I have a sneaky suspicion he would discuss it with her?? ?? And as a major/senior member of the squad he will have some inkling of what is going on at the club. Obviously you must be involved in the take over discussions so why not ask Craig Whyte why he is willing to bankroll an untried manager after what has happened across the city. If the take over is successful does Whyte not have the right to employ whomever he wants to, or in your highly empowered position is there a clause in the contract stating McCoist MUST be the next manager or the deal is null and void. Do you possess any business accumen apart from counting valium into bags?

And your source is or is this just guess work?

My source is Leah Shevlin (McGregors woman), who also said there is NO chance of him leaving in January. I work in a gym and a lady colleague called Jacqueline is her personal trainer/dietician. Not sure the exact time she said it or I would let you know.
Is it possible that anyone can actually type something without being called a liar. I thought it was Celtic who were para! !

Rangers Rumours
Rumours suggets that Aston Villa are locked in talks with Scottish champions Rangers over a proposed deal for goalkeeper Allan McGregor. Manager Gerard Houllier admitted they have been to see him and he is interested in the Scottish international.

McGregor has recently been reinstalled into the Scotland squad by Craig Levein after intially receiving a lifetime ban by the FA for boozing along with Rangers team-mate Barry Ferguson. He has won seven caps for his country and with Craig Gordon consistently out with injuries he will surely be adding many more in the future.

Houllier sees him as the ideal replacement for Brad Friedel but he stated he was hoping to extend the 39-year old's contract soon. He also said he was hoping to have a look at reserve team goalkeeper Brad Guzan before he considered his options.

McGregor is a product of Rangers youth development and after a couple of loans out, he has established himself as the clubs' number one. He is a top class goalkeeper on his day and he would definately be a strong addition if Villa were to proceed with further negotiations.

With speculation surrounding Ashley Young's future still in the limelight, this would give them extra funds available to capture two or three players of Mcgregor's quality.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I'm Actually Surprised you spent your time typing out this useless garbage, when villa are NOT locked in talks with Rangers they are only MONITORING him at the moment, and Walter Smith has already said about 100 times he will not sell Mcgregor. So I Highly Doubt Walter Will Allow Villa To Talk To Mcgregor. It's Idiots Like You That Need To Realise That Rangers Have Continously Repeated This Season That They Will NOT Sell Anymore Players.

Hi. A, a Celtic fan but these are the rumours I have heard. Firstly regarding the takeover and the nonsense spouted by some, probably Celtic fans who are a bit concerned about Rangers having cash. Craig Whyte is "financially clean" as far as i am aware. Andrew Ellis is a different matter but he will not be the main shareholder so that shouldn't be a problem. Already well reported that Rangers will NOT have much to spend in Jan window but 5-6m to spend in the summer + whatever is brought in from sales. Goodwillie and Commons are long-term targets and expect them at Ibrox in the summer. McGregor is a possible sale as Alexander is more than capable but have heard that Craig Gordon could move back up to Scotland after the end of the season and Rangers may pip Celtic for his signature. As for whomever wrote that K Boyd is a target for 250k. what!

These are the rumours you have heard?? As far as you are aware?? Its either a fact or a rumour, its printed in numerous places about Craig Whytes business dealings and unless you have insider knowledge of his past ventures who are you to give anyone a clean bill of financial health. And in my opinion any deal involving Eliis is a bit iffy. Why is this Londoner so keen to be part of a Rangers buyout?

As for whomever wrote that K Boyd is a target for 250k. what!

Apparently Craig Whyte has a very colourful past, a trail of failed businesses and bad debt following him about and a list of creditors including Lloyd's bank and Her majesty's finest (how f#ckin ironic is that) after him, perhaps he is not "the knight in shining armour" you think he is ."

Look im not saying he is but this stinks of a Celtic fan desparate to berate anyone who is interested in Rangers. I can see why, your club are substandard and can't even beat a Rangers team who have no money and a tiny squad, whats that smell? Fear i believe.

Get a grip timothy, plus how do you have time to be on here your maws needing her back shaved.

I think our movement in January will be minimal.

Commons prob not coming in Jan if at all. He would cost nothing soon enough and Gers will happily use what we have in the wings especially now Kerkar's joined the ranks.

Reckon we will see Beattie, Velicka and Webster all leave in the next 7 months.

Very little movement in Jan. Summer will see us buy 1 full back, 1 centre back, 1 wide player and 1 striker.

Any other purchases depend on departures of our main assets (mcgregor, bougherra, Miller)

I know what you are getting at but debt is not an asset. If I was to go bankrupt, the court would class my house, car, furniture etc as an asset. They would not class the 10K I leant to my brother as an asset. Why? Because I don't have the money and no have no idea how much I will get back, if anything. Debt is debt, Assets are assets. You can't value a bank by their debtors. Billyboy

Billyboy you are correct that Rangers Football Club are not owned by Lloyds Banking Group and as such will not show as an asset on the Lloyds Balance Sheet. However Lloyds have lent RFC money and this debt, on which Lloyds earn interest, is an asset in the Banks balance sheet. Put simply lending is an asset and deposits are a liability on a Banks Balance Sheet.

I work in the business of debt collection.

I'll make it simple, you owe me a fiver for ten vallium. You don't have the money but your dad owes you a fiver for sucking him off. If this went to any court in the land, I cannot claim the money off your dad. Got it.

Someone will prob buy Llyods and all their debt for the money owed to the government then Rangers would owe the new owners the money. Llyods cannot and I repeat cannot class Rangers Football Club as an asset. Billyboy

Who says anything bout lloyds being sold? woohoo you phone people and ask can they pay their debt! doesn't make u an accountant! if lloyds were to do a trial balance to balance the companys books rangers would be listed under debtor as lloyds are due money from them. Which makes Rangers an asset for them! You have no clue man. and if rangers were to get sold the new owners would be taking on this debt unless its sorted b4 that. If lloyds were to get sold Rangers would still be due the money to Lloyds. Its lloyds were due money to not the owner you idiot! !

Ofcourse you can't pass debt you plonker nobody is debating that! !

HOWEVER BUYS LLYODS BUYS THEIR DEBT YOU FOOL. DEBT CANNOT BE CLASSED AS AN ASSET. IT IS A NON FIXED TANGIBLE AND RFC ARE NOT OWNED BY LLYODS(DEBTORS). I DON'T COLLECT DEBT, I BUY IT. BILLYBOY

Valencia's French centre-back Jérémy Mathieu is being lined up for a season long loan next season should David Weir opt to retire, though his wages may pose a problem.

Kris Commons will be signed from Derby County in January to sort the midfield problem.

I thought that this was a football rumour board! However for the sake of clarity if a Bank lends money this shows as an asset in their balance sheet, and a liability in the borrowers balance sheet. The reverse is also true that savings / deposits will show as a liability on a Banks Balance Sheet as these monies are due, at some point, to be repaid to the depositor. Now can we revert to football please.

When was the last time you seen a company go into administration and their creditors try and call them in as an asset? Doesnt happen, creditors only get 10p in the pound from their debtor, would this happen if the debtor was their own asset? Dont hink so.
