Played as a striker for many of his appearances. Put Dessers in a stronger/ confident trm and he'll bag the same again this year. He's arguably one of only a handful who actually performed last x2 seasons.

Dessers isn't a league winning striker. Yes he has a good goal return but outwith that he's as useful as a man down at times. He could be a good squad player but if he's our starting number 9 we won't win the league.

So what does a league winning striker look like. asking seriously as I couldn't spot one. i'm assuming that both Kyogo and Idah from Celtic are that because they won the league so it doesn't seem to matter who they switch in and out. or can they just pick league winning strikers even if none of them score the same as Dessers or hold the ball up particularly well either. as I say not having a go but are there examples of strikers who have won leagues that we could go for. or if they haven't won leagues but we want them then why are they considered league winning strikers?

Dessers isn't a league winning striker you say davidb1996?He was the top goalscorer in scotland last season mate and if our defence had been a lot better and no manager upheaval with hardly any natural wingers in sight not to mention dropping stupid points to teams we should have been beating and giving these teams two goals of a start, then dessers goals contributions could easily have been enough to win us the league, so i don't agree with you that big dessers couldn't be a league winning striker and other areas of our team much more to blame than big dessers my friend ?.

Angus, a 25 goal a season striker, with a decent defence and keeper behind him would help us in our challenge.

Kyogo was streets ahead of Dessers let's not kid ourselves on. Idah is garbage I'll give you that and if Celtic go into next season with him leading the line then I'd be shocked. I also don't think 13 league goals is the benchmark to go off and we could do much better.

Dessers has scored 0 against Celtic and 0 in cup finals and he doesn't do the business domestically in the big games. Kyogo must've scored about 8 against us and god knows how many in finals within a similar time frame. I know what I'd prefer.

SWS agreed defence was nowhere near good enough and there are other bigger issues in the squad but this post is about Dessers. If he could put away 1/ 5 easy chances he missed in some games we'd have been a lot better off.

Dessers done his job last x2 seasons imo. Granted, finishing was unlucky/ poor at times, but still managed a super return. If the rest of the squad had similar returns/ stats (in the positions they play in) we wouldn't have finished so far behind!

25 goal striker is not league winning material ? you got to love our fans. Striker ain't our problem goals from everywhere else is and our defence. That is why we didn't challenge last season. David would you rather a striker that scored 15?

I worry for RM our any manager for that matter as our fans are crazy.

Fair play to whoever likes him. Its mad how opinions differ from person to person with dessers. I think he is very poor and will be happy when he goes. A good footballing team will grab more team goals than watever style we were playing last year. Hoofball at best and dessers or cerny sharing most of them. Remember, Celtic always have 5 or 6 players chipping in with 15 goals doesn't need to be 1 guy scoring 25 or 30.

The strikers and Cerny were not the problem, lack of goals from elsewhere and a tendency for concession in our defence.
