Not sure if I've missed any discussion on this but I've read that we're interested in 27 year old Grady Diangana, a Congolese midfielder who has just left West Brom.
Any ideas if this is solid or just more red top drivel?

You forgot Barron and Bajrami too Muscat, so potentially 8 players for 3 positions, so my guess is all these midfielders the press are still mentioning (Windass for example) is a total load of pishy wishy.
I reckon one more CB and another winger will pretty much be us unless one of our potential starters moves on. Then it'll mainly be trying to shift the unwanted out.

According to Tranfermarkt the current 1st team squad is.

GK - Butland, Kelly, Wright.
LB - Yilmaz, Jefte, Fraser.
CB - Souttar, Propper, Nsiala, Davies, King, Fernandez, Djiga.
RB - Tavernier, Sterling, Aarons.
CM - Raskin, Diomande, Cifuentes, Barron, Rice, Rothwell,
AM - Dowell, Bajrami, Cameron, Aasgaard.
LW - Cortes, Gassama (deal to be announced soon)
RW - Mcausland, Matondo (Listed now as a RW? )
CF - Dessers, Danilo, Igamane.

Personally i would trim the squad by selling or loaning this lot,

Wright, Yilmaz, Propper, King, Davies, Cifuentes, Dowell, Mcausland.

Could generate 8 mill perhaps, plus the saved wages to invest in 2 more wingers for the right side, would like to see Jesurun Rak-Sakyi as one of those RW's.

Moving those players on trims the squad from 32 to 24.

If Igamane is sold then Turgeman could be his replacement?
If Dessers is sold then De Jong could be his replacement?

Those 2 sales could bank us 20 mill plus for the transfer kitty.

Just checked Diangana and appears he was a winger for WB. 23/ 24 was most prolific with 1 goal or assist every two games. RM supposedly likes him but also linked with Portsmouth and Middle East.

Diangana is a right winger so the amount of midfield players we have is not a factor.
