Four players from Juventus' Berretti Squad will arrive in Glasgow next week for a two week training session with Rangers with a view to the Scottish side getting them on loan next season.

Defenders Federico Crepaldi & Alessandro Degrassi will join midfielder Stefano Pellini and striker Vincenzo Pira in what is the first sign of life in the Rangers/Juve youth agreement.

The Berretti squad is made up of players aged 19 and under and is seen as the 2nd team to the Primavera squad, which showcases the Italian side's finest youth prodigies aged up to 20

Please, I implore you to seek medical help straight away before it is too late. Best one I have heard in a long time mate, nice one! After all we have had to endure this week, along comes this beauty to give us all a long overdue giggle.

Rangers will this week reveal they've agreed a 2 year youth exchange programme with Juventus.

The plan involves Juventus sending players from their youth squad to Glasgow on loan, with Rangers youngsters being given the chance to train in Turin to aid their development. Juventus will have the option to sign up any players who impress. The agreement was reached during the Italian side's visit to Murray Park last week.

Juventus Youth Sector Chairman Andrea Agnelli talking on the club's TV channel:

"Rangers are the old lady of not just Scottish, but British football. We are honoured to be working with the club in the aim to improve the young players of both clubs who will hopefully become the next generation of gifted European football players. We will do whatever we can to give our players valuable competitive experience, and at the same time they will lead Rangers back to the main leagues and competitions, where they belong.

A great quote. Just a pity that none of the many forums carrying it provide a link to said video.

And at the same time they will lead Rangers back to the main leagues and competitions, where they belong-----------

I think this mush gives it away.

8.) 12 Apr 2013
This has got to be the biggest load of rubbish ever. Are the Juve youngsters going to improve playing against Stranraer, Alloa, East Fife, really! Juve are a world class team with world class players and coaches, these players could go on loan to any league in the world and play at a very high standard, just can't see the Scottish 2nd division beiong the place for them, in all reality can you?

9.) 12 Apr 2013
So like this is the 5 or 6 th tier away from the Juve full team - at least they won't yet have mastered the full simulation training. Fer fecks sake sign some local blood!

10.) 12 Apr 2013
They would gain vital experience playing in the Scottish lower leagues, it would do them no harm whatsoever. I would happily have half a dozen in and around our first team squad. What is there to lose? Absolutely nothing, they are being judged before they have even arrived!

11.) 12 Apr 2013
It must be true, East Fife players are learning how to kick in Italian.

12.) 12 Apr 2013
Is this the final insult to rangers bad enough being billed as a selling club but this deal if true (debatable)see's rangers in the role of feeder club and that's as low as it gets I mean. being used to bring on ONE teams youth players and being plundered for any gems you uncover is not a good thing

13.) 12 Apr 2013
So is that a tie up between teams who cheated for years and were caught? A match made in hell if ever there was one.

14.) 12 Apr 2013
Never heard so much rubbish in aw ma life, you honestly believe a team like juventus would allow any of their young rising stars to go on loan to a scottish 3rd division load of duds to get kicked, belted and stamped on by a bunch of butchers, bakers and candlestick makers. I don't fkn think so, ffs get yer heed oot yer arse. gary

15.) 12 Apr 2013
If they want vital experience of getting kicked by a joiner or a plasterer then Scotland's yer man.

16.) 13 Apr 2013
Am sorry mate but we need more than 4 young boys to sort out what's happening to our team at the minute, personally I'd like to see Stuart mcall as manager next season, I think mcoist and McDowell & durrant have had a good shot at but we are screaming out for fresh ideas

17.) 13 Apr 2013
What a load of tosh.

18.) 13 Apr 2013
"The old lady of Scottish football" I've been on Juve website, Juve forums and found nothing. You're just a sad wee man they would get better experience playing in Serie C than your league.
