Has anyone heard any rumours on the transfer front, I feel we need more than 2 players to bolster the squad, I see there a few half decent players out of contract next summer, here are a few names, John Souter, Osman sow, Ryan McGowan, David goodwille, shay Logan, these players may not be the best however they could add depth to a small squad, I hope Mcparland has identified people too, ultimately funds need to be released for transfers, there are a few gems in the championship too from Falkirk and hibs (won't do buisness I know) as far as I'm concerenerd January can't come quick enough.

Osman sow is being considered about 60k will do the trick, he is big, fast and a pest will be in the blue soon, I have it on good authority,

Stubsy is getting to big for his wellies, spouting all that crap, keep it going you person we will rip them to bits, Nicky law is going to finally prove what an asset he is, this is his moment, all together now,

I saw the article on this. I quite liked the look of most of the players but Souttar and Ziggy Gordon are the two for me. Tavs is a winger, not a right back and Ziggy is possibly one of the best young scottish left backs in the country, apart from perhaps Paterson of hearts. For me Souttar is a must. He is young, has a wealth of premiership experience to his name at such an age, and is versatile in 3 of 4 positions we need to cover. RB/CB and the all important DM. I believe there are better options than Sow available in the English championship and league 1.

Has anyone looked in the English Leagues or in the top European Leagues at players that might be available. I would love to see us sign a centre back in the mould of Butcher, Amoruso or Gough and a defensive midfield player in the mould of Roberts of Greig and a player with the aggression of Souness or Hurlock. That is what we need for Scottish Football. Players that will give leadership and protection to our young players and let the opposition know that we will not be outplayed, outmuscled or outfought!

Quality not quantity is what is required, not just finding someone to fill a position.

Need some quality to shore up the defence be that a defensive mid or another central defender.

We also need some more quality up front, either a goal getter or an attacking playmaker who can open the door.

Personally I think we are miles away from where we would like to be or need to be for next season, however I think if MW sorts out his tactics (they are the real problem) and if we add at least two players of real quality then we should be ok. Looking at championship standard players or more young unproven players would be a massive mistake at this stage.

I was told last night that we're very much interested in signing ex newcastle and west ham midfielder kevin nolan, I know a few months back we were heavily linked with him but there seemed to be no truth in it, have to say although he's in his early 30's he's a good midfielder with a bit of dig but I thought he'd signed with someone, time will tell I suppose.

Jackson Irvine, John souttar and another winger/striker. Would only sign a right back if it was Paterson nobody else would be an improvement.

I know he's 33 but I'd take Nolan in a heartbeat if he is fit. Epitomises the type of desire we require at this point and would certainly be a leader on the park! I believe he is training with Leyton Orient but is currently unattached, perhaps the scouse connection with McPartland will see it happen.

I agree about Nolan guys. That guy would never get muscled off the ball like some of our younger players. And pitches in with plenty of goals. I'd love to see him in the blue shirt.

The seeker I am pretty sure if some of the younger players seen how Kevin Nolan handled himself on the pitch it would encourage them to get stuck in and go in for some crunch but fair tackles, just my opinion, but yes a player of nolans capabilities and tough tackling is define toy a player we could be doing with.
