The Sun clamming that Cammy Bell will sign for Dundee Utd today but doesn't say anything about the transfer fee . I'm happy to see the back of him but I'm not a fan of letting players go like we did with Darren McGregor for free to clubs that hate us or pure and simply will not sell players to us (Dundee Utd and Hibs) Does anyone know if there was a fee and if so how much?

Cammy Bells contract has expired. We would not be be able to command a transfer fee.

The Sun clamming Bell has a year left on his contract?

I'm sure he has a year left and yes, I agree, we should not do business with either feeder club.

I don't think so either. I remember a year ago Hibs refused to sell to us even after there own player handing in a transfer request after we made a bid. Never do business with either of these clubs and never allow them to take players for free like we did McGregor.

Bell has 1 year left on contract but we have released from contract early. Assume we would pay him something to leave early.

My Mistake, bell does have a year left on his contract. In that case we should demand a fee and if we don't get one, he can sit on the bench. Who knows what wages he is on though, i would imagine he will recieve a 20% rise for us getting back into the SPL and he is probably on about 6k a week at the moment, judging on the other daft contracts Leech and Lambias organised with other dud players. So we may be forced to let him walk. I would offer him plus 200K to Hibs in a swap deal for Cummings.

should never help any1 of those clubs but I honestly never rated the guy as a good keeper so I understand if we wanted rid of him I think wes will become better and better the guy is only 25 and I can't see warburton replacing him. I hope we can get another great keeper like the ones we are used to but don't think there are any out there that we can afford.

I disagree, why shouldn't we offload unwanted players? Also could this mean Mcgovern coming in?

Based on his performances for us I don't think we are doing Dundee utd a favour- quite the opposite, his butterfingers will keep them in championship for years to come.

Transfer window isn't open! Thought it opened on 1st July? Obviously different story for free agents but Bell is not free.

I also agree we should be doing no business with either Hibs or scumdee utd, let them act as feeder clubs to selic and take in their many many many rejects.
