How could anyone possibly take over without owning the majority of shares? The shares are spread out all over the place, it's not like buying a house, I maybe wrong but wouldn't you need to make an offer for all the shares at a certain price before you could take over? So who in their right mind would plough a substantial amount of money in without being the majority shareholder.

You could go for a hostile takeover. Basically offer a right good price for ALL of the shares. I believe if over a certain percentage of shareholders agree then it goes through. A lot of investors in rangers would be happy to see a profit and jump at it. I'm not 100% sure how it works but I know it happens.

Yes jmaster but how could the guy know about the timescale or even how the other shareholders would react to such an offer, when they have not even been asked yet. How would a failed hostile takeover rock Scottish football to it's core, if it's rejected? It would leave your team in exactly the same position as it is now . I am totally aware of just how being a very distant second or third makes you, but surely you can see this guy knows nothing , beware false prophets.
