Alex Neil, Norwich city manager is now favourite for the Rangers job!

Interesting. given he is a coatbridge man who certainly favours the green half of Glasgow. We certainly ain't rushing an appointment which is a good thing as we MUST get the right man in. Its obviously not mccleish (thankfully) or Davies as they wuda been in by now. I just pray we r holding off for FDB. Doubt it tho.

Would like it to be FDB but I think it depends on what role the director of football will have who ever the head coach is I hope Miller is rewarded with an extended contact as a player coach

i for one will not be renewing my season ticket nxt year if alex neil becomes our manager

It won't be Alex Neil but why would you not renew if he got the job?

I heard today that the real reason de boer won't take a job mid season is to do with his pay off from inter in that if he takes a job before the summer he forefits a large portion of it. No idea if that's true.

Because he is a celtic Fan. I wonder if these fans who react like this went mental when Neil McCann (celtic fan) scored the 2 goals when we won the league at the piggery. My guess would be yes. Its fans with views like the one above that hold our club back and keep it in the dark ages.

how do my views hold the club back in my honest opionion our club has lost its identity lately and the problems from top to bottom show that I've bn home and away all season so my hard earned cash hasn't held the club back and also for the record i don't rate alex neil as a manager either

Alex Neil sorry I don't buy that - his allegiances are well known and add that to the way he spoke about our great club with utter disdain following the Dorrans rumours last summer, it's very clear what he thinks of us.

You don't need to be a bluenose to be our manager, but I draw the line at the likes of Alex Neil

I totally agree with you bigcol1872! But do you think alex neil is good enough to become the manager of glasgow rangers? I'm obviously talking about his ability and not his religion or the team he supported while growing up, that should have nothing to do with it!

Although neil wouldn't be my own choice i still think he's a decent manager/ coach! My own choice that i'd love to be our next manager/ head coach is garry monk, although i don't think he'll leave leeds utd! Monk is a terrific coach!

Colshy your comment, like a hell of a lot of other fans views on Neil, would suggest that it's not his managerial ability that's in question but rather his allegiance to certain rival club. If I've jumped to this conclusion then I apologise. What difference does it make what team the new manager supported as a boy? For some reason we are the only club in Europe who still harbours this disdain for prospective employees that have supported celtic. well maybe not all of us. Whether he is good enough that's another argument. My view he is.

Before Warburton took over I thought we missed the boat not getting him in then. I still think he is a very good coach but he seems to have stalled a wee bit just now. I think everyone's choice would be FDB but let's get realistic, that's not happening. So we are left with names like McInnes, Mcleish, Wright and Davies. My choice would be Monk, but could we afford him? If we don't get a decent manager then the club are almost accepting being in celtic shadow for years to come.

In all realism we are years behind Celtic as much as it pains me to say it. We simply don't have the money to compete with them. Rangers in my opinion will not hire a manager until the end of the season to save money. We need a Rangers man in there someone who knows the club inside out. I'd like to see Barry Ferguson in there in some capacity with the intent of the reigns getting handed over after spending time with an experienced manager.

why would he leave Norwich
took them to the prem, relegated, kept him, like him.
why would he leave to manage the rangers?

Doesn't look like he's in the final running anyway.
