Reading suggestions that we should go and nick Ryan Jack off the sheep. If we are interested in him we should make a move. He would be interested I'm sure. Saying this as I've known the family for years. His grandfather was a fanatical bear from Maryhill. He himself was a Rangers supporter as a youngster. I have watched his development from an early age, and I can tell you Rangers is in his blood.

Decent enough player but should be aiming at least a little higher if we are to try close the gap next season.

Who cares if rangers is in his blood, if he's good enough to enhance the team then that's all that matters!

Ronnie bang on mate we've got one on the books the now Rangers in his blood, Goven Born, Mr one of us and a badge kisser and he's Rank Rotten ( if your good enough that'll do)

i think he would be a fantastic signing. Not only would it be a good bit of business with him being out of contract it would significantly weaken Aberdeen which is always nice.

This is the signings we used to make, good Scottish players who know the club and league inside out.

Similarly, Paterson from hearts on a free would also be good business.

Rangers might be in his blood, but not in his feet, I'm afraid. Not good enough, sorry.

i wouldn't say halliday is rank rotten!
he has been played in a defensive role .

he is an attacking player and has a good eye for a pass but can't do that playing defensively

Haliday may have a good eye for a pass but his feet can't do what his eyes can see. His passing is shocking

Been following rangers for 55 years trust me he's Rank Rotten excuses being made for him about having a good eye you can say that about anybody that can't pass a ball to were they meant to put it. Lol

The guy is highly thought of at Aberdeen but is looking for a move. Whilst it shouldn't matter who any player supports I think it can make a difference. All being equal I would take one of our own. I'm not sure how good he is but the sheep don't want to lose him especially to us. Worth a punt on a free.

Im not a fan of Halliday and he wouldn't b in my strongest 11 at this moment in time but to say he's rank rotten is quite harsh when you think of players gone by IE, capucho, sebo, ostenstaad, bernard to name a few. at least when he's rotten its not for the want of trying unlike some of the imposters iv mentioned

Jls tbh mate i disagree. The players you mention were terrible but halliday? Number of goals we have lost because of to be frank his total lack of basic schoolboy level awareness is alarming. His error for 2nd v hearts was shocking. If i recall correctly we nearly lost a goal from almost same situation in next game. It will be interesting to see how he performs under new manager though as i do think the squad as a whole under performed under warbutton this season. Compare halliday in hearts game to semi last yr and it was like 2 different players.

Andy halliday has been terrible this season truth be told. Although I think Warburton's style of play has held him back. Doesn't help when the boys playing out of position either. I'd definitely take a punt on the boy Jack. If were going to get him on a free what's there to lose? He's been a key player for the sheep for a number of years now and still only 25 with a lot of development in front of him.

cant believe were still discussing andy halliday his future is over at rangers and rightly so, this year he's proved his limit is the scottish championship or lower spl at best any other rangers player who had put in the performances he had this season would have been booed off the park a long time ago, if things were different with barton kranjcar and rossiter halliday wouldn't have saw much pitch time this season midfield and CB will be pedros main areas to fill nxt season losing hyndman is a loss and possibly losing toral could be a loss too as i thought our new style really suited him in hamilton game

I'm not disagreeing with you bored, but i think some fans go on as if he's the worse player to ever pull on the jersey. we need to remember he was released from Bradford for a reason and he's on pennys at us. the point i'm making about the players i mentioned is that they were on a fortune and all played at a decent level so theoretically should have been a lot better. p.s, got to agree his hearts mistake was a howler 😂

I am not a fan of Halliday. I reckon he lacks guile and is not the bravest of players as was seen against Celtic. That said he is certainly not the worst player, (Those that say he is clearly weren't around when we had Jim Denny, Gregor Stevens or Neil Murray, those guys shouldn't even have been playing junior football.

I don't think Halliday has benefitted from Warburton's management style but then why should he be any different than anyone else. There is more fighting spirit, there is more team spirit and an overall better winning mentality

Halliday is a decent player, at the very least a good squad player for us going forward. People giving it he's not good enough need to accept that he's been played out of position all season and we are still in 3rd place even with that shambles of a defence behind him. So he's obviously quite a bit better than most midfielders in the league.

Will we be able to sell players like Halliday etc will they go easily if their going to take a hit in wages?

Gregor Stevens, what a player he was, £400 a week and 10 lbs of prime beef.
