Looks like he's here to establish a link between the two clubs, seems to know Pedro from his time in Mexico. Could be interesting.

Happens constantly on here fergie, yes a lot of it posted will be complete rubbish but with the response people get it'll put people off posting actual rumours.

The guy has said he is over from a team called chivas or sheevas, he never said anything about a booze company?

Considering it's a Rumours site, I don't see how people get all precious on here!

100% true I work at the hotel where he was staying he had lunch with the SFA president (sorry don't know his name) then dinner with Pedro where the big man was taking him through a presentation. I managed to grab a quick word with him and he's very interested in what's going on at ranger's since we have Pedro and the Mexican boys never said anything dramatic just about that tbh. However considering he's worth close to a billion and sort of link up would definitely be welcome but we'll wait and see NOT get over excited!

I saw a pic and a tweet on news now saying he was impressed with Rangers and facilities but didn't say why he is here, it could be to set up an exchange programme for our young players or to set up a deal for regular friendliest and to sell each other's merchandise or hopefully he is thinking about giving us a large amount of cash but I know for a fact he is not here to drink Chivas regal lol

Id imagine Escobar would spend more on rubber bands in a month than your new investor would invest .

Surely this is something that the DOF would deal with rather than oor Pedro

12.) 07 Sep 2017

Naw, because the DOF has probably never been to Mexico, never spoke a word of Mexican, never managed in Mexico and probably never even heard of Pancho Villa 😀

You clearly know the club is called Chivas. And it's a rumours site yes, but taking the rags story and chucking arms and legs on and feeding it to your teams fans, who does that benefit?

The s*n have mentioned this on their website

Blueistgecolour

To be fair, the guy put it on the rumours page about 7 hours before the rags reported it

The guy's here on a courtesy call. It could lead to joint commercial plans in the future. It could lead to youth exchanges. It could lead to lots of things, but it won't lead to investment of hard cash.

Jorge Vergara is the CEO of Omnilife as well as owner of Chivas in Mexico. Omnilife is like he the latin version of Herbalife who supply dietary supplements. Both huge global marketing powerhouses. I doubt this guy is going to come here and invest outright. We have a five year deal with 32Red to see out. My guess is he is here to see the facilities and possibly look at getting young players playing in new surroundings with a swap partnership. Chivas are the largest club in Mexico. I doubt they are going to let us sign their prized center back in January as the papers suggest. The price would have to be right. This guy has serious power in marketing however so it will be good practice to have him look around the stadium etc and maybe propose some new ideas and methods of propelling the brand to a wider audience.
