Think that means he is ours then

Well DM will regret that for the rest of his days. Mcleish has to get the job with Murty as his assistant to learn the ropes. Alex Rae and Barry F as coaches. When Mcleish leaves Murty can move up with Rae, Fergie or Kenny Miller getting a coaching roll.
Keep the club in True Blue hands.

Truebluesotrue, why would Mcleish be such a bad appointment?
He did the same as WS, won trophies with a poorer squad than Walter, managed the national side narrowly missing out on a tournament, went south for pastures greener, probably did better than Walter down there winning promotion and a trophy before being offered other jobs.

Just because he's failed with Villa and others doesn't make him a bad or backward step. Let's face it if Walter said he'd come back for the remainder of the season how many complaints would there be.

With Rae and Ferguson i can accept to a point your scepticism as they're unproven but they are Rangers through and through and that passion in the background needs to be there to flow through the players.

hammerite- mcleish is a backward step he has done nothing worth talking about since he left rangers, probably the scotland stint, he was finished when he left rangers, i was at the matches at the end with him in charge when he did not have a clue how to set his teams up, he had that donkey andy watson with him he was also completely clueless, there was one match when arvaladze ran over to him and asked him what position he was supposed to play, mcleish just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing so shota just walked away shaking his head, thanks alex for the trophies and helicopter sunday and all that, its time to move on
