For me Alves and Goldson would be solid with McGreggor behind. We need a right back that can defend though or it’s the same old leaks. I’m not against pushing Tav to right mid or even as a winger. Gareth Bale was a wing back once and Harry Rednap almost sold him for buttons till he pushed him up. 😮

Tav and bale on the same sentence. 😂😂😂 tav is not a winger or a rm. he could play as wingback buck Defos not a midfielder. This season if we get the cbs sorted there won’t be as much pressure on tav as centre backs will be able to cover and tell him what to actually do

I think cedric kipre and connor goldson, would be a good central defence partnership! Although goldson is very tough and strong in the air and in the challenge, he can also play football out of defence! We're badly needing a bad guy centre half and kipre could most definitely be that player! I think kipre and goldson, could dovetail well together! Both have good, different attributes, that could make for a good, fruitful, centre half pairing! Every team likes a kipre in their team and of course the opponents hate it! We're not building a team, to please opponents!

He didn't state Tav is on Bale's level, just that it can be the making of a player finding their right position. Why could Tav not play in midfield? Tidy on the ball and decent pace and energy.

I'd like to see us go after John Soutar. The boy is class and has huge potential in terms of ability and sell on value. Caulker is a risk but no doubt he's got the quality to play for us. If we started the season with Goldson, Soutar and/ or Caulker with Alves as backup and McCrorie also capable of playing centre half I'd be happy. Mcgregor will be key to our defence improving too.

Kipre and goldson could work. Kipre wouldn't cost too much and is a proper no nonsense defender who takes no prisoners.

Good in the air, strong in the tackle, got a bit of pace and young.

Would be good to get back to having solid cb's who defend first.
